Robert Pattinson

New Hollywood, 'Twilight'

Robert Pattinson finds himself a recognizable star even before the movie version of Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" opens Nov. 21. Ever since news broke of his being cast as Edward Cullen, the romantic 17-year-old vampire hero of the tween-popular book series, the 22-year-old actor is known wherever he goes in Britain.

"It's one of these phenomena that come out of nowhere, and everything about your career is completely different," he says. "Every 13-year-old girl in the entire country has read this, and you can almost guarantee wherever you go you'll hear, 'Oh my god! It's Edward Cullen.' "

Pattinson isn't worried that "Twilight" will define his career. "I'm sort of signed on for another two, but it's all dependent on what happens at the box office," he says. And unlike what happened to Bela Lugosi, Pattinson knows he won't be playing Edward Cullen when he's middle-aged.

"The thing is he doesn't age, which means I can't really play 17 forever."

Sweet lovin'! He is just a catch this one. Love reading his inteviews. He is so aware of what's going to happen after Twilight but he isn't jaded about it. Thank you Rob's mum and dad for raising such a charmer.

Thank you, Gozde!

This is my favorite Rob pic of any that he's ever taken---my breath is taken away....

babbles said...

If you could ask Rob 2 questions what would they be?

Lynn said...

Dani--gotta love those British parents! I was just listening to the radio and heard "Yellow Ledbetter" by Pearl Jam and I thought of Rob's voice. He definitely channels Eddie Vedder, Bob Dylan and Chris Cornell and packaged as an Adonis.

There is a God and She is all too generous!

B--that's a tough one! I gotta think about it.

hmmmmmm good one Brooke. I suppose I would ask;
How do you maintain your personal life and stay so calm among the fan storm?

And 2; Do you plan on staying in LA indefinitly or do you plan on moving back home someday?

Dani said...

I would also ask about his acting process how be chooses roles and prepares for them. I'm so curious how people are able to take on some really tough roles and then make the audience believe their honesty on screen.

Dani, Good ones...

1) Is it hard not to get swept up in the characters and fall for your co-stars? (the E & B lover in me)

2) What do you "Really" think of all your screaming fans? Do they scare you? Or do you feel like Elvis?

Dani - Rob has said that the roles he has taken up to date are simply this, He auditions for films that are "interesting" and out of character from the British School Boy one and whatever jobs he is offered, He takes! I imagine that will change now...

Oh My Holy Hotness - Godze I cant take that new banner, It is going to keep me up at night... Fab-u-lous!!!! Yum-Oh...

1) Who in your life do you go to for advice, who inspires you the most?

2) If you could pick any famous character to portray, who would it be and why?

Technically four questions, but, I can talk fast!

Lynn said...

I want to follow the happy trail with my tongue in the third photo! The banner is fabulous!

Dani said...

I want him to do Inside The Actor's Stuido with that Lipton fellow. Just talk all about the filming process and his fave roles and his zipper, and relating to his costars and chemistry on set. Oh crap did I say zipper again? Whoops!

Lynn said...

I want to hear him say his favorite curse word. Only Rob could make the word, tyke, sound sexy.

Zzzzziiiiiiippppppp

Why Yes Dani, Yes you did!

Gozde said...

You are welcome ladies! Okay I really am signing off now :-) Hope the lost souls from RPL can find their way here. I don't want to keep posting the link over there out of respect for Michelle.

Lynn said...

Zip away, m'dahling! Gozde needs to post more zipperiffic pics.

Lynn said...

Gozde---it's like a ghost town on RPL. You can actually see the plumes of dust and tumbleweeds. I love it here!

Dani said...

Tyke. Growl! That is sexy, loved when he said that on MTV and Taylor was all like "me too" oh Hell I don't like him as Jacob. Bothered by the choice. He is too cute and young looking and pictures all over the net with his shirt off bother me. They should have gone with the kid who is playing Emery. He is a dish and doesn't look like he is 14.

nice banner, you've got my happy trail!

babbles said...

Oh Dani - Dont get me going on Taylor/Jacob - while yes he is cute as heck (sorry that is the best I can do) He looks like a child with a bunch of Men around him, What are they going to do in NM and Eclipse when he is supposed to tower over Edward...

Lynn said...

Bay-Bay Lautner is lame, sorry, but the boy bugs me! There are way more actual Native American actors that would put him to shame as Jacob. Yes, that Chris kid is quite the hottie and he has both ears pierced---yum!

JJ has a new post about Rob...and the clip as well.

Thanks, Aimee for the link! Another daily dose consumed!

Gozde said...

Thanks Aimee, I put it on the front page! You are awsome!

Dani said...

Seriously Lynn he is like one fourteenth Indian on his mothers side or something. While he is adorable in that giggle when someone passes wind sort of way, he is a child! Too cute for the role. The Chris fella is beauitful. The way Jacob is suppose to be.

Lynn said...

Whoops, I forgot that the Lautner is considered a descendant of the Plains Indians. But, he didn't even try to grow his hair out or anything. At least, the rest of the cast of Twilight is convincing.

Omg Dani I love that video from the VMAs. I think it's the celebuzz video.

Yeah, here it is...

Hey, my older dd is 1/16th Cherokee on her dad's side. I should get her an agent to audition for the role of Leah Clearwater, she is willowy, olive skinned and feisty.

Rose said...

I know this is a bit late...but I agree/disagree with Tyler Lautner as Jacob.
I think he is the perfect Jacob for the first book. A smiley young kid. But when the werewolf comes into play...it doesn't work. We need someone tall...muscled...and drop dead dreamy. And while Tyler is attractive...he's not even close to being the wolfy Jacob.

The hair in this picture is fantastic. Can this boy look intense or what?
I guess that answers the boxers or briefs question. Actually, no it doesn't. Hard to tell, isn't it? Not that we won't keep trying. Wait, are those buttons in the front?
