Margot~When Bella's running through the crowd to get to Edward she runs into all kinds of people. There's a part where little girls are giggling at her as well.

I'm sorry, I just spent half an hour staring at the poster. You said something about auditions? :S

I guess you'd have to look Italian to go for this part. Do you think they'd go for the "irish tourist in Italy" look, I could pull that off quite well. Actually with the good weather we had the last few days (had being the important word here) I've actually got quite a good colour maybe I could pass for italian and would love a little holiday as it's filming around the time of my birthday! ;-)

They are casting people to be an extra at the "piazza" scenes. Too bad I don't live in Montelpuciano (is that right?). Lucky birds! I would love to get to see Rob SHIRTLESS in person...

What a blast that would be! Many Italians have lighter brown hair...I could pass. Hmmmm?

I bet they aren't paying people to be extras. They always do this, they get members of the public to be extras for free, taking work away from professional background/walk-on artists.
Sorry but as an Equity member I do not approve!!

This is a major production with all the bells and whistles. I cannot imagine they would use non-union extras. Not unless they want the unions to come down on their heads like white on rice. At the very least they'd have to pay them perdium, wouldn't they?

And while I do see this as a problem, I must be completely honest here. After looking at that poster (and stopping to re-start my heart), at the moment I don't really care who gets paid for what (after I've recovered, I'll care). I know that's a CGI six pack, but still...
And pretty as it is Rob, you stick to your guns and don't ever get one for real. With the technology they've got today, they can give you a 64 pack. You're an actor and a musician, not a body builder. Please don't ever feel pressured enough to feel like you've got to hop on that band wagon.

Six packs have become a cliche and worse...BORING.

Wonder if I could get time off and max my credit card out, I could pass for Italian easy. Who needs pay, I would pay them for a chance of close encounters - and that place looks so dreamy anyway.

hey... i live next to italy, and it's a 4-hour drive to montepulciano from my home town. Do you really think they're looking only for italians? I was planning to go to montepulciano in may anyways (to see the set of new moon) and i would be thrilled if i could actually be in the movie (not because i wanted to be 'in' the movie, but i could actually stand next to rob!!! omg!) :) so, any further information about nationality of extras would be highly appreciated... ciao;)

to anonymous: do you live in switzerland? we could go together=) i was planning to go but i'm sure they want italians, b/c you need that italian tax paper thing, plus the note said 'italian' actors..so i'm not sure what to do. will be a spontaneous decision.

No, i'm not from switzerland... i'm from slovenia.. yea, i thought they need italians only. that sucks! :) but i'm planning to go there anyways. i mean, there's no doubt about seeing the cast (read as:rob). but i'm thinking of staying there for 2 days only.(and i have to make a reservation for a hotel-i doubt it that montepulciano has hostels:)) so, if you're going there too let me know, we can meet there or something:)

They only have hotels and they are quite expensive..if I go, I will find a Hostel near Montepulciano! Mail me at a_p@inbox. We can meet and go together..at least like that it will be 2 of us, not speaking the languge:)
