Robert Pattinson on Successful Promotions' Cover

Nothing about Robert Pattinson in the article except for the magazine cover but it's a good read if you are interested in Promotions. How Summit's promotion team worked during Twilight launch.

Dear Summit, we have some suggestions for successful promotions if you are interested... 1. Open the communication lines. 2. You know the leaks help you :)

Thanks to our lovely affiliate MyRobertPattinson.com for the scans ;)

It's quite funny since twilight seems to be the only thing that they managed to promote... (their last movie Bandslam really flunked).

Well, I had read somewhere that they have changed the head of their advertizing department (or something like that), I hope that they will be more effective in the future.
I think they should thank Rob big time for his wicked charm during twilight promo... That plus the book fans, who made a lot of things newsworthy (maul tour)~

Seriously. Twilight and Rob promote themselves :)

I honestly think they changed the colours in his shirt to match their cover LOL
He just melted me with that stare... thanks Goz for the visual - I needed that! :-)

Dear Summitt,

When are you going to get down on your knees and thank Robert Pattinson for single handedly bringing in copious amounts of cash to your studio?

When will you learn that he is also a human being that deserves more respect than you give him?

Oh wait...this is HOLLYWOOD...my bad. Guess ya'll can't wait for November or February either.....

Lets hope the mother F*** over at Summit learned their lesson,
Lets hope they dont turn over New Moon Promotions to that annoying Taylor kid,
i hope they realised Rob is what the fans want not the kid with the conceited fake laugh and manufactured Hollywood abbs.

Summit should be thanking God and kissing Rob's ass, since they pretty much hit the jackpot hiring him. Rob's face on anything = WIN!!!

RPTMO- I hate to say this but I have a bad feeling that Scummit is going to do exactly that.Put Taylor/Jacob out in the forefront of promotions.
I seriously hope they've grown a brain with the serious demand for Rob. So far Scummit has shown a lack there of.

I like Taylor, but he doesn't do it for me.

I need Rob, he's the reason I've spent so much damn money on the movie, DVD's, and mags.

Thanks ROBsessed for posting this article!

As a lecturer in marketing it was with great interest that I read this article and I will surely use it in my teaching on marketing communication. As a avid fan of the Twilight saga I'm always on the look out to combine business and pleasure. =)

As the article pinpoints, Summit has been successful in the money making strategy of the launch of the Twilight dvd. However, somewhere along the way, they lost the public relation side of marketing in which they, in my view, have failed miserably.

As a result of this, they have unfortunately managed to antagonize parts of the powerful fanbase by keeping their eye on only the money.

However, examples like this make fantasic discussion material in marketing classes, for which I must say I am greatful for.

Can't wait to see their forthcoming strategy for the sequals.
