I think we got a few different answers from her. Nice.

Hi solas, I have yet to find you a fanfiction story. As soon as I do I will let you know. :)

like the interview...

anyone notice that she has been MIA since the end of the New Moon promo??? i wonder where she is hiding out at, but she does deserve it and i hope she stays that way for as long as possible.

whoever recommended FF univ. of edward masen, thank you, i love it. i am hooked on that one, MOU and CW&IA.

I find her SO hard to listen to..........she jumps from one idea to 3 others and flits around and stutters and acts like she has ADHD to me!
She is so serious and can't ever seem to lighten up and just smile and have fun.

Unknown said...

@femroc, I agree with you in some ways, but I think the whole ADHD feel comes from her insecurity. She'll start to say something and then second guess herself and start saying something else. I think she's still just really uncomfortable and unsure when she's in these interviews, but you have to admit that she's getting better!

Untamed said...

Did she answer the comparison question? I might have missed it.
She does have a very scattered train of thought, it seems. Maybe it's nervousness?

shirleegirl said...

Jules - No, she didn't answer the question. I also noticed that as soon as he started talking about Rob, she started fidgeting. She had a lot of good stuff to say about Taylor though, always does

Sarah said...

She doesn't get the main point of questions sometimes, so she ends up not really answering them and just talking about something else.

Not criticizing her at all, well, just constructive criticism. So if there's anything to learn and if I had any advice to give her it would be that. To understand what the interviewers are asking and to not go off on a tangent.

Because I especially did want to know the answer to the last question, about the arc that her and Rob have developed for the characters, if it has CHANGED over time or it's still the same idea/thing they have been thinking about the Bella/Edward relationship since the beginning.

Sarah said...

Don't get me wrong anyway, I'm not the most articulate person in the world either. I'm glad she's getting better at interviews in general - she has definitely improved.

I adore this girl and her T shirt is so cool. I would love to have a daughter like her:-)

Thanks ADM :-)

I think Kirsten has a lot in her mind, is a thinking intelligent person, and does not think linearly.

I like this interviewer, he asks interesting questions & doesn't go over the same things again & again.

She is getting better with the interviews. It seems that she just gets nervous and tends to over think the question. Being a shy person myself sometimes it's hard to artculate the thought your having.
I have to give her credit that she is very gracious to Rob and Taylor.
I have a very big girl crush on her.

kphrase said...

@Matin Toothfairyrecipes - I have to agree with you, I also adore her and would be very proud to have a daughter like her.
I also agree that she is serious about the characters she plays; especially Bella, and she doesn't want to come off as flippant, so she tends to over think her answers. Thus making her appear inarticulate, when really she's very intelligent and thoughtful. We should remember that she is only 19 years old and I have to say that realizing that fact you have to give her praise for handling things as well as she does.

I think she answered the last question that they had a skeletal outline of an arc that they continue to sorta use, but they have since progressed in their understanding of their characters. That they're are still learning on how to play them, which makes me happy. They both seem curious about the characterizations.

I think her mouth can't keep up with her mind in a televised setting. Interviewers have noticed she is much more comfortable and articulate in her answers for print interviews. Sooo.....that's something to consider.

Unknown said...

she does better in print interviews, because she can answer questions at length and the author can par them down later on. In TV interviews she's responsible for giving short soundbytes and high concept answers. She starts to answer a question in a more detailed way, notices she's droning on and then backtracks and gives a short, neat answer.

Taylor's the opposite. He's great for TV interviews, cause he gives great soundbytes and sums things up nicely. But give him more room to answer things at length thematically, and he usually stalls at the soundbytes.

i like the interviewer he didn't ask the same boring questions they had to answer every single day...and i think she's getting better compared to last year...with time she would get there...

What a great interview! One of her best! I loved how she came across and made the whole thing so fresh and exciting!

She's really growing up! Nice KStew! My hat's off to you in this one!

This was a really nice interview. Kristen is always so honest when speaking with journalists.
So great to see.

This interviewer is so much better than the others. I loved her answers. I'm already dying for the next round of publicity. When will Eclipse come out!! I can't wait 7 months...

i just cant understand why she cant give the exact answer about rob, she always move to general idea, while she can talk much about taylor and praise him. is it Rob so bad actor or bad personality so she cant even say something about him?

in another interview she refused to talk about rob cos she said it's so hard to talk about ur friend. then i guess taylor is not her friend??

im so sorry, i just confuse. i dont like her at this one.

Robsten said...

I think she is very talented and intelligent but I think she always think people are judjing her especially about what she says. I wish there was a way that I could tell her just to chill out, calm down, this is not school and noone is grading you, take it really easy, have fun and enjoy the fame.

nikola6 said...

Because I believe Kristen to be a very intelligent girl, her thoughts and ideas come at her a mile a minute making it difficult for her to articulate them. Therefore she can appear scattered. I also believe she's made some sort of peace with this level of fame that's been thrust upon her. If it were me, I'd have pulled out an uzi long ago and mowed 'em all down.

You're doin' just fine little girl.

Nik

nikola6 said...

Wrong. Everyone is doing exactly that; judging and analyzing every word out of her mouth. As for Rob...

They're trying to get her (both of them) to slip and say something, anything that could be interpreted as a 'confirm.' So when the subject of each other comes up (in any capacity), they hem, they haw, they squirm, they avoid, they stumble, they bumble.

I admire the hell out of them. Don't give anybody anything you two. It's yours. Keep it yours.
When it comes to your own lives, you don't owe the world shit.

haha Nik are you Rob's Manager? :P

I somehow noticed Nik's admiration glances at KS and thought he really likes the girl, thus my question, since you seem so keen on giving it up to her, I agree with you though, that's how I understood her casually brushing the questions and comments about Rob. It's her way of not giving any hint one way or the other to anyone sitting there with a mission to oust their relationship whatever it maybe.

Good going KS, and yes I agree her friends and the people around her should tell her to chill and have fun, she prolly thinks that some of the things she would say may sound shallow and unintelligent and that's why a lot of times she tries to rephrase her answers but that's her beauty, she's awkward and unconventional, and she embraces that and rightfully so!

It will be interesting in 10 years to see her give interviews and see her maturing.

nikola6 said...

Noooo. I'm not THAT Nik (and if I were, I'm sure my ass would get fired for writing about my VERY private client on a fan blog).

I used to post here alot but haven't for several months now. Been busy with a move back to LA (landed in West Hollywood...good ol stomping grounds) and trying to write a book.

I'm guessing my participation here will be sporatic, but it is fun and I have missed it.

oh Nik I was JK :P, I was going to comment on how amazing your green eyes are, if in fact you were THAT Nik lol

Lotsa luck on that book :)

Unknown said...

I just have to say: wow! This interviewer was serious and respectful and asked very good questions!
Very coiol to see/hear :)

nikola6 said...

Oh I knew you were joking DeDe. And I wish my eyes were green and they should have been because I'm Irish. But they're brown (must be that dash of Porteguese).

I've often wondered just how Irish Rob is. He may have been born and raised in England, but with that heavy brow, those striking features and that last name, I'm thinking...that boy's roots are as Irish as Paddy's Pig.

God knows, he can throw 'em back like a two-fisted drinking Irishman. LOL!

Nik

Oh. And thanks for the good wishes on the book. It's harder than I thought it would be.

There seems to be a general consensus that the interviewer did a nice job of getting answers that were a bit different from the "regular/normal" questions that she has been asked. It seems to me that she's very particular about how she wants to be interpreted. That's a good quality to have, in my opinion. It's nice to see someone using that energy to articulate themselves rather than just be blatantly rude or unthinking. But in doing so, she sometimes forgets the main question, but that's totally understandable. She and the rest of the primary characters must get so exhausted from answering the same questions, that when presented with an opportunity to express themselves by answering different questions, they want to get it "right".

I think Kristen just lacks education.I like her a lot as an actress, but she is far from being well-spoken in ALL her interviews. Many people think this is because she is being shy all the time ( which is also true).I am not saying she is not smart, she just needs a good school where she could learn how to speak.

Anonymous said...

Elinor, my dear.
Kristen graduated with high honors from high school. She is very smart. She considered going to college but acting go in the way. She had wanted to become a criminal psychologist.
She's just nervous around the camera. Many actors are.
