Rachel Weisz Looking Forward To Working With 'Rebel' Robert Pattinson

'I like to work with all kinds of talented people, whatever the age,' she says of joining the 'New Moon' star in 'Unbound Captives.'

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Until now, little has been known about the upcoming film "Unbound Captives," except for the fact that Robert Pattinson was going to star in it. For Twilighters, that was all they needed to know. The ironic thing is, RPattz's co-star, Oscar winner Rachel Weisz, has plenty of details to dish about the drama but knows virtually nothing about "Twilight."

"Meeting him was vampiric. He sucked my blood," laughed Weisz, remembering their introduction. "Wait, is he the vampire? He is the vampire, right?"

Yes he is, Rachel. And in "Unbound Captives," Pattinson is eager to portray a teen living in the Western frontier who was kidnapped by Comanche warriors at a young age; Weisz is slated to play the mother on a mission to get her son back. Co-starring alongside Hugh Jackman, Pattinson told us recently that "Captives" offers him a character who "can't really be more different from Edward," the leading man of "Twilight."

"It's an independent movie, and they are raising the money, so hopefully it'll happen," Weisz said of the flick, which will mark the writing and directing debut of veteran actress Madeline Stowe. "I don't know if it will [be made], but yeah, I'm very excited.

"It's a great screenplay, and [Pattinson and Jackman] are both great actors," Weisz added of why she is attached to the film. "I like to work with all kinds of talented people, whatever the age."

Weisz — who can be seen later this month in director Peter Jackson's drama "The Lovely Bones" — said another reason she's eager to work with RPattz is his mystique.

"He wasn't star-struck. He's got a whole rebel vibe, right? Yeah, that was his vibe," she said of their meeting. "He's kind of iconoclastic. He's flaunting authority. Yeah, pretty cool."

I loved her in Constantine. I really hope this one is going to be made, the story sounds really good and it would be such a different role for Rob!
*crosses fingers*

She has no idea who he is or anything about his acting LOL. Poor woman is just trying to fake her way through the interview.

always been a big fan of rachel Weisz, she's absolutely stunning and has the talent to back it up. I still think she looks too young to play his memaw, but whatever. I think the casting is great, I can't wait.

And I love her utter lack of knowledge of Twilight, I think that will make Robert very happy. lol

LOL.. Yeah, she says she's never seen Twilight but then she goes on to later say he's a great actor.(cause she saw How To Be or something, right? lolz...) Not holding that against her, just thought it was funny. Interviews.

I just adore Rachel Weisz since she starred in the Mummy, she was a perfect Evi O'Connell and she hasn't disappointed since. I think Rob is gonna be quite happy that his co star is totally out of the Twilight loop.

I think most of the celeb world haven't seen Twilight and couldn't give two hoots about it to be honest! That said, word gets around on the celeb circuit about talent in general, so I think Rob would be more honoured that he's thought of that way, not because he's in Twilight ! lol

I heart Rachel Weisz. But poor woman, having to talk about another actor for 3 minutes, whom she's probably met once and who is not even in the film she's trying to promote. I'd be furious.

I've loved her since the presistent gardener. This is one of my favourite movies of all times. She was amazing. Great story so close to reality that scares you. Living in Africa for some years I was like oh my God.That's why I won't have the swine shot because living is Grecee which is the"norther African" country nobody knows what games are playing behind our back.

Oh, that is such a coincidence, but I think that Rachel and Madeleine Stowe are the most beautiful women... They are SO beautiful and talented!
I really hope the movie gets made! :))

yes Rob needs to work with women directors they bring the best out of him, theoretically of course because they know how we regard him more than men who seem emotionless by default, hope i'm making sense.love Madeline and Rachel..don't ask me about Uma!

I really hope this movie gets made. Looking forward to seeing Rob show his acting chops. He said in an interview that he would be speaking Comanche in most of the movie. Talk about a challenge!

On a personal note...I can't wait to see how Rob will look in it--a Western with boots, on a fast horse and a maybe a dark tan? Can you imagine??

sorry, is it just my lack of imagination but but somehow i can't see how this is supposed to work. rachel weisz is supposed to be his mother in unbound captives, no?

i can't buy that because i think she is really hot and looks far too young behing his mother. i can rather imagine them (the characters) being involved a not so motherly way, having steamy sex. ;-)

OMG, I'm soooo much looking forward to this movie. Love Hugh and Rachel is great (RPlover: I think Constantine is a great movie).

australiamylove: I think this can work out well. Robs charakter is approx. 19 years old and she can easily play a 40 year old woman, since women got pregnant at a much younger age at that time. I don't see a problem here.

I love to see Rob playing the character of a "white" red indian with a badass touch.

I have to confess, I'm almost more looking forward to UC than BA because of the cast. As I said I looooove Hugh (I truly think he saved "Australia" because Nicoles performance was sooooo poor) and Rachel is great, but I 'm not convinced by Uma T. (her last movie was a disappointment and nothing but embarassing to watch). Kristin S. T. is a great actress, though.

so is there still some doubt as to whether the movie will be made or not??? At least we know Bel Ami is slated for filming in Feb!

I love how she seemed to feel that the question asking her how the meeting with Rob went was weird and ridiculous.

She wasn't rude or disdainful about it, but was clearly thrown by all the Rob questions, like "What? Why am I answering a question about what it was like when I met him?"

Love her.

On the floor. "He sucked my blood...he is the vampire?" And I luv that Rachel didn't know he's a muso.. Idiotic questions.

UC still iffy. Dammit.
