Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are in Time Magazine's "People Who Mattered" List

Another end of the year list comes from Time Magazine. Ben Barnenke (chairman of US Federal Reserve) is person of the year and Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart take the #15 spot in the "People Who Mattered" list. Right between Sarah Palin and Alex Rodriguez... Random huh? :)

You can VOTE for your person of the year at THIS link, also don't forget to slider at THIS LINK to rate Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart :)

It's been at least a decade since we had a pair of authentic, shriek-inducing, catch-me-when-I-faint teen idols on our hands. But suddenly, OMG, they're back. What makes the stars of the Twilight series so idolizable? It's partly that ineffable combination of dirtiness and innocence: they're sexy, but they're not sexual. They're also not generically beautiful. God knows they're hot enough, but they look interesting too. Intelligent. Slightly askew. You don't just want to look at them or sleep with them; you want to talk to them. Like the vampire Pattinson plays onscreen, you can see that once upon a time they were merely human, just like us.

— Lev Grossman

Thanks to Dil for the tip :) You can check out the rest of the list at Time.com

Please no Sarah Palin on this website even as a joke. I already hate seeing her as it is, let alone on Robsessed! Why won't that woman go away?!

Haha, I agree Samantha, that's why I put a picture of her with the famous and annoying "wink".

aw, that was quite poetic, their little blurb. :)

But seriously, I can't think of two goofier people for them to be sandwiched between though--Steroids McGee and the Moose Aassasin.

I'm glad Time let us know that they "matter." Would have missed them completely otherwise...

I really want to vote for them but in all good conscious, I cannot. I adore them, but they didn't save the lives of hundreds of people on the Hudson this year. Nor did they break down a racial barrier (the election of Barack Obama), that I did not expect to see in my lifetime. And this is not just another silly poll. It's Time Magazine and will be read by millions. Frankly, I think they would be very embarrassed to take such a poll.

I did however like the comments of Mr. Grossman. They are beautiful in an unconvential way. (Well, Rob is anyway. Nobody, but NOBODY looks like Robert Pattinson). And yes, they are intelligent. Not your typical 'young Hollywood stars' at all. And THAT (along with their talent) is what I believe will lead to their longevity long after Twilight has faded.

A high compliment for them, just that their presence mattered.

The author of this article described Kristen and Rob (especially Rob) really well I thought!
