Robert Pattinson Talks About His Part in Twilight Soundtrack

We may think Catherine Hardwicke is cuckoo but we'll never forget she is the one that cast Robert Pattinson AND convinced him to share his songs with us. Thanks Catherine :)

Thanks to Danni for the tip :)

Exactly, his song Let Me Sign was placed in a very intense and emotional moment and it fit perfectly! Usually the Score would be placed in such pivotal/emotional moments, but Robert's song was amazing in how perfectly it fit there and with the mood of that scene.

In NM most of the soundtrack was disappointing. And I would say if I had to choose between the Twilight soundtrack and the NM soundtrack, I would choose Twilight's even though I haven't bought it! The only thing I don't like about the soundtrack is paramore (Hayley's voice is too generic and their style seems too teeny bopper and rockish for my tastes)

I have both movie Scores but not the soundtracks.

I can't find a version of the Twilight soundtrack which includes "Let Me Sign". Can someone please tell me if there is a version out there that includes this song, because that's the version I would want to buy. So any help would be appreciated.

@ D.M.

The only version of the soundtrack with Let Me Sign on it is the Itunes version.

What made "Twilight" unforgettable is its soundtrack which can connect to you the movie instantly. Everytime i hear "Claire de Lune" or "Bella's Lullaby" i think of Edward/Rob.

Noticed there are not so many of Robsessed fans getting out and declare their robsession as when the first Twilight saga first came out. Say it ain't so.

And katherine was the one that also put that kiss scene together for our enjoyment. Haven't seen a kiss like that again! With Rob and Kristen... Katherine really brought Twilight to that next (Rob) level!!!

hearing Rob's "Never Think" is what made me go-wow! who IS this guy, and what more can I find out about him? because not only is he hot, he sounds so soulful...and then I saw some way too adorable interviews on youtube, and then I surfed on over here...and I practically haven't logged off since. LOL

so, though you are very kooky, thanks, CH. ;))

Does anyone else notice that he's losing his accent???? Such a shame :( If you compare Twilight videos to recent New Moon videos, it's very apparent.

Twilight has sold 917,000 cds so far this year-1,128,000 in 2008 placing it as the 5th best selling cd of this year! It was the best selling rock "album" of 2009. I think New Moon suffers from Rob's absence!! I do love Hearing Damage on New Moon and how it ties the action together but-boo hoo, no Rob songs!!

I thought I was the only one in the world who didn't like Paramore! Nice to know I'm not completely alone.

But I'm sure I'll marginalize myself even further by admitting that I don't like KOL. (I know they weren't on the TW soundtrack, but it just seems like I'm the only Rob fan alive who doesn't like them.)

I have listened to the Twilight soundtrack many times and after first 2, I started skipping over the Paramore track. Not fond of her particular R&R style/voice and think might be the one false note on the entire soundtrack that does not emotionally connect to the mood and the story. My Rob music moment came before I heard him sing - the beautiful shot of him playing the piano. Edward kind of disappears, it's Rob we're looking at for those few short minutes. Thank you to Carter Burwell for giving up "Bella's Lullabye" for the score. (For those who don't know the origin of it, it's in the liner notes on the CD.)
I do go against the grain here in that I love the NM soundtrack. There are songs on it that make Bella's pain palpable (It's possible). I think the songs capture the mood of NM nicely. People prone to depression probably shouldn't listen to it (LOL), but it connects to Bella's POV and emotional state.
I jumped on the bandwagon and was itchy to hear KOL with the Rob connection. Have to say, I LIKE them a lot.
