I can't wait, of course, but I hated the script - I found it really formulaic and all over the place. But, Robert's in it, so I'll watch. Probably more than once too.

I can't see the video... But I am soooo waiting for this movie!!

I loved the script, and I know Jenny made lots of changes so I'm sure it's even better...

Love Robler real hard!

Why is everybody questioning Roberts acting abilities and still wanting prove if he can act? The critics only overpraise Kristen's performance. WTF?! That pisses me off!
Sorry bout the rant, just had to get this off my chest :(.

I didn't find the critic that unfair. Rob will have to prove movie after movie that he can play everything and not only Edward... If you look at his male co-stars in Remember Me, he is the rookie... He still has a long way to go before being seen as a talented actor... I don't like to compare, but it was exactely the same for Johnny Depp and Leo Di Caprio when they started... and look at them now! Rob is going the same way and it will be fantastic to see him in 10 years from now.

Ok, now I've seen the video and now I'm pissed…

Fuck you Rotton Tomatoes. He CAN act…and quite well thank you…have you not seen his other movies??

Glitter boy my ass!

Sissydelyon- I agree completely-he's a good actor, but he's just getting started. He'll continue to grow over the years, and I have no doubts that he will be a fantastic actor in the years to come. He has so much talent in that handsome body of his! As for Kristen Stewart, I think she does have a lot of talent. I have watched the movie Speak so many times, and she was amazing- it's hard to believe she was only 13 when she acted in it.

well, eventhough im a big fan of rob.. i still think he need a lot to improved ..i agree with some critics said that his performance in little ashes was a parody..i think he need to loose himself because he's analyzing too much. for me definition of a good actor is actor who can make the character possessing them, like it was real n doesnt looked cheesy. but rob definitely has the potential. he jut need to worked hard..

I agree Rpattzgirl!!!! question whether the movie will be good or not, Rotten Tomatoes!!! not Robert Pattinson's acting ability! And the script is great! So I doubt it'll be a bad movie. But why do people disregard his previous movies? Like Little Ashes, Haunted Airman, How to Be, Bad Mother's Handbook, Harry Potter!!!!! And that's just at the beginning of his acting career!!! What is to question?!!@#$@#$!!!!!

don't you worry "Rotten Tomatoes" Rob know how to act. has way more talent than people give him credit for!

Issues about Rob's acting ability is why I look forward to him working with Donnellan. I don't how how filmic BA may end up being, but if anyone can help Rob to a 'next-level' performance, D is a prime candidate.

Ok: 'Issues...ARE why' don't know what happens to my grammar when I comment here, so shouldn't point any fingers. Eijit. I can only blame Rob for making me fumble.

Totally random but I know there are some Firth fans here, and speaking of good acting: please see "A Single Man." One of the best of his career. And Chris Weitz did produce.

Critics are always going to be tough on him because he has all these women swooning over him. They were the same way with Orlando Bloom and Colin Farrell. But I really don't give a crap what the critics say. I'm so excited to see Rob in Remember Me -and I have not read the script.

Pet73 said...

There is no way to compare Rob with Colin F.! Colin in deed is a poor actor. Especially his performances in Alexander and Miami Vice actually were horrible!
I never want to see Robert compared to Colin Farrell! There are words between them!

"worlds" of course :).

I guess these ppl have only seen Twilight and New Moon, and maybe even HP Goblet of Fire..but none of his other movies. So I get the comment in that respect but WE know better. He CAN act but to some of the US media he still is just starting out. Also he is starring in a movie that has already established actors to some degree...some more than others. So yep he's gotta step up to the plate! I personally have no worries about that. He WILL step up to the plate :-).

I think part of the problem is that his fame exceeds his body of work and so naturally, that's going to bring about some backlash.

Also, some do not care for his interpretation of Edward. They saw it as wooden and remote whereas I saw understatement and elegance. It amazes me how such a popular character has been so misinterpreted (so much so that Meyer has felt compelled to go back and rewrite it). Edward Cullen is not some 21st century teenage hearthrob. He's a tortured, miserable creature who's lived for over a century and is trapped in an existence he doesn't want. How did so many people miss this? Robert Pattinson NAILED that character.

But I'm afraid he's got an uphill battle now as the critics are now gunning for him. And he's just gonna have to ignore it and do his work. Fortunately for him, the industry KNOWS how good he is. And it's true that they are looking at him as 'the next great male movie star.'

I think he's got it in him. I think he can do it. That is, if he wants that and I'm not sure he does.

I have a feeling Rotten Tomatoes will be soooo happy if Rob doesn't give a good performance.
But I also never agree with Rotten Tomatoes' opinions about any film at all, so I will be soooo happy not to give a damn about their crap when Remember Me comes out.

The fact that Pierce Brosnan and Hugh Jackman and other actors say Robert has a lot of talent means more than stupid Rotten Tomatoes assessment. Rob is young; he'll become even better as his skills are honed. I'm not worried at all.

@nikola6
Agree w/your assessment of Rob's portrayal of Edward. Spot on, I thought.
I think Rob has shown that he will give his all to whatever part he has accepted no matter how small. This is a sign of a successful actor. I think "Glitterboy" will be around for quite some time!

Who's the rotten tomatoes? NM made it to the top on it's first weekend b/c of Robert. I'm not too happy with his screen presence, from his makeup, etc. "Remember Me" will make it to the top b/c of Robert again. It's his movie with strong support from Bruce and Chris. And with his new leading lady nothing can go wrong.
