Twilight Soundtrack is Nominated For a GRAMMY!

Twilight soundtrack is nominated for a Grammy! As you all know the soundtrack featured 2 songs by Robert Pattinson. Congratulations to Rob and all the other musicians that contributed to the beautiful soundtrack.

We may not like the way Twilight movie turned out or the way Catherine Hardwicke speaks about other people's personal relationships but we also value her. She chose GREAT music for Twilight, it is a really good soundtrack. She cast Rob as Edward for which we are very grateful. She was also amazing to the fans during the Twilight promotions. So thank you Catherine and please don't speak :)

Thanks to Danielle for the tip :) You can see the rest of the nominees at Grammy.com

Even though I find CH intensely irritating, I actually loved Twilight, more than New Moon - I think it captured the feel of the longing and the wonder between E&B perfectly. And it had some great touches, like the montage towards the end when Edward is sucking the venom out of Bella's blood. Anyway, big kudos to CH for the music, absolutely.

I'm glad other people loved Twilight as I prefer it to New Moon too ! She understood the whole romance between Edward&Bella and I thought she did well considering MR messed up with the script in various places and Catherine had a much smaller budget than Chris. I loved the soundtrack and I actually really liked the 'indie/independent' feel of the film, I thought New Moon was a little bit too Hollywood.
That said, Catherine is a completely loose cannon in other ways ! lol

It is amazing how this song fits into not only Twilight movie itself, but how it really carries Edward's torment and issues into New Moon.

Re CH--she made some good choices, but she showed some ridiculously poor judgement. I read on this site (the positng about wanting Chris Weitz for Breaking Dawn) that some people are petitioning for Ch to direct BD. Do they not follow or comprehend the comments about how the cast worked with Chris, how they loved him, how they loved how calm and organized everything was with him, etc? Do they not follow her disgusting looseness of tongue re personal relationships? Do they not think this would have an effect on how a movie would be filmed?

This is way cool about a Grammy nomination!

I will always love Twilight and the cast and the music but CH effed it up big time....so did MR, but she redeemer herself some on new moon.

CH needs to keep her mouth shut tight

I have to agree with those who said Catherine captured the Edward/Bella relationship better than Chris Weitz. Just didn't feel the love/romance between them in NM.

CH is like an old hippie. Cracks me up.

Hello! I'm relatively new to the whole R.Patzz craze and although I've been lurking here in the past few weeks I've just recently decided to post I hope I'm not shunned as the "newbie" as I'm sure everyone started out as that :)

Ok well my reason to post is that since I'm new I've been catching up on all my missed interviews by Rob in the past and I just came across this one,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8yFMASxAFA&feature=related

(in the first 25 seconds) he seemingly says the same exact thing that CH said in the recent "Time" interview, i.e. "don't fall in love with Kristen her bf is a good friend of mine, you'll end up in jail etc." so since Rob has already said this much, I wonder why people are hating on her that bad?! I was one to also no appreciate the ousting "if you will" of the relationship cuz that's just unprofessional but it seems that at least "some" of what she said was said before (from the horses mouth)and was never considered with such seriousness as it is now!...just my 2 cents!

DeDe, I think she went a bit beyond that, she confirmed that nothing happened during the first film but then she said something like “I think it took a long time for Kristen to realize, O.K., I've got to give this a go and really try to be with this person."

I tried to find the link to the TIME interview, but obviously my googling skills leave a lot to be desired.

Sticking to the subject of grammy nominations, congrats to Paramore for their nomination for "Decode."

lol Emma it's ok don't worry! And yes I know she was completely unprofessional in saying things beyond what Rob just revealed in that YT video! I'm just saying since maybe he said practically some of the things she said, (umm I'm biting my tongue here) maybe the rest of it is also true?! nonetheless she shouldn't have said what she said that I agree with, especially since both Rob & Kristen "jointly decided" to leave it alone as is and not feed the frenzy!

who said we dont like twilight? i love it! especially after watching new moon...i see how well CH captured E&B relationship...
sure it could have been improved but she did a lot with what she had

solas- i know the cast loves chris weitz but i dont think that has anything to do with the quality of the movie im sorry chris might be a great guy i dont deny it but that doesnt make him any better as a director
if new moon had turned out better then id have no problem with him directing BD but i see a potencial disaster if he makes breaking dawn

I guess Im a sucker for the cuckoos in the world. They make life interesting for the rest of us. She had alot to do with the soundtrack. It was awesome and set the tone/mood for the flow of the movie nicely. Im not a fan of new moons soundtrack.I always say that the soundtrack is crucial for adding intricate layers in the film.Well deserved!Congrats ROB!!

DeDe, let me start by saying welcome to the wonders of Robsessed. It was not the first time this year that she has revealed very personal information about the cast. She consistantly spouts off info/gossip that does not need to be shared with fans/press.

In my opinion, she is clinging desperately to the fame she recieved for Twilight. Her time is over, yet she keeps spouting crap to get attention.

I highly applaud her casting skills and musical taste. However, her recent actions may eventually overshadow all the good she has done.

*prays on knees* please God let Decode win!! I feel that song shouldve have won so many times!

Angie said...

Sam, my cd only has one. I think the press is not paying attention. They know there are two songs in the movie and just assume they are both on the cd. Maybe.

@ Sam: The soundtrack with both of his songs is only available on iTunes.

Sam said...

ok thanks! thats what i was thinking- then i thought well- what if i missed something- which would be really hard being that i cyber stalk that beautiful boy! hahahah Thanks for answering!

ADM thanks for the welcome! I hope to be one of the "lovely crazy regs" soon :)

Let me also say that I shared your sentiments exactly when I read what she said in that interview. I know it's not her place to share anything that "the people involved" DO NOT want to share! Yet like I said, since I've stumbled upon this interview where Rob said some of those exact quotes, I thought maybe what she said was partly true and not just pure bitterness?!... oh well let me just add that I think she did a great job with twilight, it impressed me much more so than new moon, and I'm also rooting for decode, hope it wins, as well as he soundtrack with Rob's awesome songs!

Yea-whatever happened to those contracts they sign?? confidentiality agreements or something like that?? Catherine H is gonna get sued! also how can she be so dumb?? Hollywood is a small town-rep is everything. If she wants a career she should get hot glue gun and start using sign language.

LMAO @ Skorpia

phosphorus, thank you for that info. :)

Goz- LMAO. Tsk Tsk.

YAY!!! GO TWILIGHT SOUNDTRACK. Didn't it already win an American Music award or something?

Twilight soundtrack was amazing and I still listen to it in my car... Apart from one or two tracks I don't like the one from New Moon.
Hope the one for Eclipse will be good ! I'd like to hear "Resistance" by Muse on this one... It fits so well with the war against the NewBorn and Edward and Bella running away...

Rob Sheffield reviewed the soundtrack of New Moon for The Rolling Stone a while ago. Don't know if the link was already posted.

Marya= aside from the fact that I like New Moon better than Twilight, who the cast likes to work with, and who they are not so happy with, would have a lot to do with the flming.

solas said...

BTW-- I didn't like msot of the tracks on New MOOn soudntrack when I first listened, but now I listen often and love almost every track.

About CH, I agree that she is a loose cannon, a bit looney because of her frenetic personality, BUT lest we ever forget SHE is the one who decided to cast an "unemployable" (his words) young British actor, who she had to convince Scummit was the ideal Edward because she saw something in that audition in her house. None of us would be here now, if not for her. That is a fact. She also brought Twilight to the screen and with low budget and lots of problems got it made. I never read a word of review on Twilight (and I always do on movies), just figured they were all bad. Guess what, I've since learned Twilight was not so badly reviewed compared to NM. I won't go there because I had great expectations for CW as director, but not so good, it was a bit rushed IMO. I could go on, but won't.

@lallieb - my thoughts exactly! I think Catherine got a lot right, casting for one, soundtrack for another. And who can forget that kiss?? She actually took the time to reshoot that scene months later because she wasn't happy with it the first time around. She took the time to get it right. And I think we can all appreciate that.

And as for the soundtrack, I thought the songs were fine in New Moon (although I still think Twilight's were better), but don't even get me started on the musical score (hello loud violins anyone?!). Twilight's was so much better, and the way Catherine eventually tied it into Rob playing it at the piano was simply beautiful. Loved it.
