No, my friend (who counsels families for a living) says that many adoptees carry residual anger at their birth mother, that then becomes reidrected at the adoptive mother because the other natural outlet has been denied them.

So I was wondering whether the often violent and unnecessary anger expressed by our onetime friend had another source.

Jon Stewart is a political satirist/comedian/actor/tv host. We works for Comedy Central which is a cable television station in America. He mostly talks about politics/current events/ and sometimes celebrities of they have to do with something involving current events (ex: Haiti telethon featuring a lot of celebrities).

solas said...: lemonless--I work with (and have unfortunately lived with) disturbed people in RL, and very few are this way from adoption, and I have seen some very well-adjusted adopted children and adults as well, although the adolescent years are a tricky challenge due to identity and rebellion issues (what is the real identity to develop?against whom do you rebel?)
I think in this particular case it is a bona fide disturbance, but I cannot tell at a distance the roots or pathology or path of it.
We have a teaching-- do not try to talk to someone whose dead loved one is in front of him= who just suffered a loss of a loved one (don't try to be logical and make plans; just be there for comfort and support) and this is so for people lashing out from disturbance as well.
