Either way, everyone wins when 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' arrives on DVD and Blu-ray at 12:01 a.m. Saturday -- and we've got an extended first look at the special features! Watch the video!
The second installation of Stephenie Meyer's phenomenal 'Twilight' series, 'New Moon' finds Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) forced to choose between her vampire love Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). When Edward chooses to leave Bella in order to remove her from harm's way, she recklessly tests fate in order to glimpse her love once more -- and Jacob moves in to protect her with his pack.
But with the rogue vampire Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) seeking revenge on Bella and moving in for the kill, vamps and werewolves are forced to create an uneasy alliance. And with Edward believing Bella to be dead, can she save him from certain death in Italy at the hands of the ruling vamp clan, the Volturi (Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen)?
Special features on 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' DVD and Blu-ray include an exclusive look at the next installment, 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'; audio commentary by director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert; a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the film; music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Mute Math, plus rehearsal footage with Muse, who is featured on the film's hit soundtrack.

That was fantastic, so nice to see behind the scenes... Hope to get all this on the DVD I pre-ordered months ago! Team "whoever you want" but this was a good movie despite all the little details... No adaptation will ever beat a book... Chris Weitz make a fantastic job!
These type of features are always so interesting. I really love how everybody hugs each other when they know the last take is done!

Even though I think Chris blew it on a lot of stuff I still love him & NM...
I love how close the cast is, and all the behind the scenes stuff is so cool..
We won't have much Rob in it.. but still can't wait!

That was great! I love seeing the behind the scenes stuff and see how the actors really interact with each other without fans or reporters/press photographers looking on.
I LOVE Mute Math - Their song YOU ARE MINE is what I play behind my own personal Rob slide show!!!!!! GREAT SONG.
RPG - Yeah, I think Chris blew it on lots of things too, but the cast liked working with him so much and he let them be free to create some of the scenes and kept the atmosphere calm so I applaud him for that.
But I read someplace that Chris did not have time to preview the movie in front of live audiences before editing it and one of his biggest regrets is the meadow scene where they were running in "those" clothes cause most people did not like that.
New Moon was not my favorite of the two movies so far. I'm glad that they are using different directors - I think it is good for the actors to experience new directors - it gives THEM more experience too and a new director can breathe new life into the story.
Wish Kathryn Bigelow would direct Breaking Dawn..........but that would be a super long shot now that she's won an Oscar.
