Sorry to use this thread but I'm gone for a couple of days and would like to share RM-news with you (posted already some Belgian reviews on 04/08, Tf 1 on RP press conference).
Remember me released in Belgium on april 7, came in on nr. 4, right after the 3D blockbusters Clash, Dragon and AIW). It seems to be quiet a succes, also due to the mild reviews I suppose.
The best review was given by the most respectable newspaper. The reviewer critized (!) the negativity of the American reviewers. He called them hysterical and explained it by saying that situating a story about the insignificance of life in 2001 is called in America an abuse of a national trauma for cheap effects. And about Rob he writes that a teenage idol who is willing to give his salary to help realising a film of Allan Coulter can always count on his appreciation. He founds the acting quiet good.
Also read in a newspaper of the Netherlands that Remember me was one of the most successfull films of Eastern WE.

Another good news (IMO) about Rob: Kinepolis group, the owners of about 80% of the theatres in my country organizes every month the Ladies At The Movies which means an evening only for women. You have a drink, there is an event and they show a film you can't choose. And yes, it was RM. This means that all the theatres for Ladies... were sold out and that many women who even didn't know Rob yet, have seen him in an adult movie. His fanbase will grow, I guess, some more Robsessers in the future.
I love how they're both wearing the same sneakers! She must feel mighty cool!

she is just a fan because in her hand is a DVD case that she took the sleeve out probably to have him sign. she got lucky with a photo too. some girls have all the luck.

@beanie Great news and great story, thanks for sharing this! RM is doing quite fine in my country (France) too, just behind the blockbusters! It even opened #2 on its first day (new releases only), just behind the awful Clash of the Titans (which somebody made me go and see and which totally sucks). I think RM is #6 in France for its first week, so it's quite good.

it nice to know,how good remember me is going,i thought as great as most people think the world does not revolve around the usa vmay be before but i do not think so much again,the rm cast i am sure the were not trying to exploit on a tragey the review people had their minds made up aiready we all love remember me at least most of them never give rob's acting a chance all they keep saying is the pasty vampire boy if they read twlight sagas they will know edward was written that way and rob just acting the way it was written

Thank you Beanie, that is nice to read that Remember Me is doing well overseas. It nice that,that the reviewer can see what the lm was about and like Robert P's acting instead of fill with his/her self importance and not really think what the story is about and only focus on the 9/11 (It's is an important that one should never forget)part... which I think was well done... (just mho).
