Video Of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner Leaving "The Oprah Show" Last Week

I know you can't see any of them in this vid but here's some of the craziness that went on at the taping of "The Oprah Show". It's a pity things didn't stay calm or they might have got out to talk to the fans. Apparently there was no barriers, oh Oprah you should have known better!

i would go insane, if they would scream like that at me all the time... what is that good for anyway? do they think they break the glass by screaming? i don't like teenie girl-fans... did i acted like them in my youth when i saw my fav music groups? hell... i did... shame on me - poor RobStenLor

AnsleyC said...

This is a bit sad. I love Robert but I would never throw myself against his car.. Or scream like that! WOW..

RTP_KJS_Lover said...

I was there, and it was insane. No barricades and like two security guards and LOTS of screaming teens pounding on his car. It was actually frightening. Had he gotten out of the car, they would have attacked him, and not in the good way.

DJ_ said...

Crazy dont even discribe the this mess.

OMG.

Ana73 said...

When you throw yourself at the car, aren't you afraid that you would get run over or rolled over by a tire.

Too much craziness for me, or maybe i am just too old ;)

i read somewhere they sign no autographs but it was not secure enough at oprah she did not put up any rails but at the airport rob seemed to sign some autograph and what about the fan i have no idea whose fan she was but i doubt she was robs after going up to one of the drivers and asking if he smells of cigarette and beer

I wish I could've gone that day. Yes, I'm still devastated about it. :( lol.

when i see videos like this i just can't help asking myself about the fan fenomenon, the mass hysteria, gragarious/herd behaviour, blind faith, lack of respect to the others, crazyness, senselessness of this...and finally i always wonder, what would happen if all of that girls put that powerful energy into pro-human causes too? what a waste...

Kat said...

The mother in me has to say "Shouldn't you be at school?" and the fan side of me says "So, screaming and banging on the car will make the stop to say hello?" - yeah NO!

I cannot understand that mentality... I wish they'd learn that if they stay calm and quiet chances of them having a great experience meeting them is much higher!

Est said...

CL i agree but the worst isn't that they didn't put barricades, the worst is that there are people who need barricades because they can't control theirselves...seriously, i'm loosing the faith in the humanity

Kelly Louise said...

That's..... creepy.

I can't believe I'm quoting a My Chemical Romance song, but "teenagers scare the living shit out of me" indeed. Especially if they are obsessive American ones. Hope Oprah & the security guards learnt their lessons.

And THAT is exactly why some fans just like to sit on the net and stare at his pics..there is no way I would be apart of that. OH. MY. GOD.

That is insane.

Why do those girls do that? I'd be terrified to be caught up in the middle of that kind of reaction.

No wonder we rarely see them without bodyguards around these days. It's a shame.

HeneciaD said...

@est-rock yeah writing now I couldnt I will tell you why

RTP_KJS_Lover said...

@Kat--The girls in front of us, the ones banging on his car, they ranged in age from 12-17, and we all said, shouldn't they be in school today? It boggles the mind. Did these girls think he would have his driver stop the car and invite them in? He was probably horrified.

@Est-Rock--Very true. Oprah bills this show as the "biggest stars on the planet", so if she knows that then why didn't she secure the garage entrance? It was frustrating.

Est said...

Cl maybe Oprah didn't do that because she just cares about her ass

Maryann said...

I refuse to be a part of this kind of insanity...even at the London NM event the MEDIA ppl wanted us to scream and those were the only time I did scream a lil (I barely had any voice lol) but Rob, Chris W., Kristen and Taylor wasn't around..when Rob got close to where I was I was dead silent and waited for my turn..looked all I could but NO screaming and I spoke to him with my then raspy voice in a normal tone. Same with all of the others..I am NOT into screaming..I can shout and holler at concerts but this screaming stuff..NOT me.

Petra Eller said...

How pleasant it must have been for Rob in Budapest. The fans here at Oprah should watch the vids of Budapest. This screaming- girls annoy even me. How can the actors bear it.

jlsentangledweb said...

How could Oprah not know what would happen with them? Or at the very least anticipated the hysteria? This was very irresponsible of her.

I didn't even bother watching the vid. Thanks for the warning, btw. When I think back to the photos of Rob and Kristen arriving back at LAX, I find it amazing that he found it in himself to even smile at fans, let alone taking the time to sign autographs. No wonder Kristen had no expression on her face.

What a bunch of freakin' idiots! I don't even want to watch the video because I'm so sad for RP, beautiful animal, trapped in a cage and surrounded by insanity.
It's not going away anytime soon with two more movies coming out. I'm sure he'll be glad when it's all over..if it ever is for him.
My advice to Rob: drink heavily and buy a deserted island to escape to whenever & as often as you can.

Rob needs to leave all this madness and move on from Twilight because all this is just milking the frenzy. As long as he's associated with this, it feeds the media to keep stirring up the whoopla and the less initiated believe all the crap they read about him. Great directors and actors might pass on Rob if they think he's a lightweight because of this kind of stuff.

When I first heard he was going on Oprah I was quite UNDERwhelmed because I'm no fan of these type of shows. I'm sure the Oprah show will have some lovely moments because Rob naturally produces golden moments, but I personally think he should steer clear of shows geared at "all female" audiences that tend to stir up hysteria in the name of entertainment, and where you have these kind of scenes afterwards. Better he sticks to Letterman or Jimmy Kimmel and or anything with a mixed audience which really does seem to balance the atmosphere.

Surprised that Rob's management didn't insist on better security for the getaway.

Yes BD one movie, bring it on quick.

I don't see anything different in this video than seen in other cities. And I do not see any banging of vehicles. (You can see several other videos on YouTube as well, no banging.) Fans are called fans for a reason - short for fanatics!

I was there, not a teen, 50s in fact, and this craziness is exactly what I figured the scene would be, albeit I expected much more people. I also knew the minute the taxi dropped us off there would be no autographs that day as the paparazzi were blatantly missing. Obviously, Oprah does not want her guests to do that outside her studio and the papaz know that. I was right up next to Rob's SUV but am not in any videos - hmmm, strange. At any rate, I certainly wasn't "frightened" by anything that occurred in those few moments. My friend and I had a blast - it was all a lark to be in the same city at the same moment as, mere feet away from, Robert Pattinson. I breathed the same molecules he did that day and that is all I really came for.

nikola6 said...

TotallyRobbed...

First of all, Rob has no say in any of this. All of these shows, the magazine interviews, all of it is set up through the publicity dept. of Summit. He's a good little soldier and he goes where he's told. Secondly...
.
If Breaking Dawn goes two films (and with the amount of money there is to be made, someone please give me one good reason why it won't), and with the first one being released November 2011, then it stands to reason that part II will be out summer of 2012(somewhere between May and July), so...

While I agree that he needs to step away from all of this just as soon as he can, I'm afraid he's got at least another two years of the madness. And there's nothing he can do about it. There will be a break of sorts from it for about a year (end of summer of this year when Eclipse starts to die down until end of summmer when next year when it all kicks back in again for Breaking Dawn). And during that time he'll have Bel Ami and WFE to hopefully divert the media attention away from the Twilight insanity and if he gives good performances, hopefully they'll start to look at him in a different light.

But I've advocated all along, that once he's through with the final moment of publicity for BD, pt.II, that he should have his getaway car ready, keys in the ignition, engine on and he just should just get the hell outta dodge for about a year or two, completely and totally disappear and let all of this go away. It'll be one hell of a drought for his fans (his real fans), but he's gonna need it and his career is gonna need it. And were just gonna have to wait patiently for him to return. And when or if (if he does take that break), he comes back, don't expect this kind of publicity again throughout his career.

He's done enough publicity for this franchise to last any actor a lifetime. And he himself has said, there's nothing he'd like better that to just shut up, but that he is contractually bound to keep talking. So...

I say, enjoy it all now. Because he's gonna clam up and all of this volume of pictures and interviews and magazine covers and whatnot...it's gonna go away and he'll only do publicity sparingly throughout the rest of his career.

Just a guess. And it's an education one.

MMc said...

Truly a look at a frenzy of the worst kind - like when sharks smell blood.

I fear this kind of display will force them into seclusion more and more cause you get to where you just can't stand it, you don't want to face it, see it, hear it and a lot of paranoia sets in so you hermitize and hibernate in your own "cave" for a while until the frenzy dies down a bit.

It would not surprize me AT ALL if all of them, but especially Rob, just dropped out of sight after BD is overwith and all the promotion for that is done.

If I were Rob - that's what I'd do ....for sure.

MMc said...

Nik - I had not read your post above and ended up saying basically the same thing, interesting.

yeah, I think he's chomping at the bit to disappear as soon as possible but he's bound to Twilight Saga until BD is ALL over and advertised. Wonder if HE wanted one or two movies!!!!

I wished for it to be ONE movie so they can all just move on.........but no - they have to make MONEY!!!!
They're going to milk that cash cow, Rob, for all they can get.

Poor Rob, who likes control of things, he must be in some type of misery to put up with all of these things OUT of his control. I'm glad he has some good advisors and smart people to help him.

jessegirl said...

entangled...yes, ITA, Oprah was irresponsible. I know I'm going to get torched for this but from where I am, I don't have much respect for her.

lallieb said...

@Nik, yup, that's the way it's going to go down. Said it myself, here somewhere, once the franchise is over, wait for the real drought. Good for him, really bad for us, but we've been so totally spoiled. Good things never last? Just want to enjoy him while I can, but like so many others, want the Twi thing to end for him, soon, as much as I will grieve his disappearance. These will be viewed as the good old days, some day. Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer.

lallieb said...

@Jessegirl, I'll never torch you for anything you have to say. I heart your previous comment on other thread about all views and comments welcome, with the exception you described. You know what I'm saying.

lallieb said...

@femroc, ITA, of course, but one thing I'm not quite sure about. Does Rob really want to control things, is he a controlling type personality? I'm not sure about that, at least at this point in time as he still is a bit dumb founded at all the hoopla that surrounds him (it seems). When reality sets in and he realizes he has currency and power, yuh sure, he will and should exert control over his life and decisions, but not sure he's there yet. Look at all he does for Summit, above and beyond. He does still go wherever they tell him to and does it graciously and without complaint (that I know of). I think he sees it as his job right now.

Monique said...

I must be one of his most selfish fans... I like coming to this blog and seeing new pics and reading everyones thoughts in the morning when I am having my breakfast and in the evening when I come home from work and winding down with a cup of tea... I like seeing him going through airports, coming from or going somewhere. The reaction in the Video... I don't want the screaming and the life endanger situation... but doesn't that sort of go with fans who want a piece of the stars. The killer pace that is his life right now... slow down... Yes, but not disappear... I enjoy looking at him too much. I enjoy watching him in interviews, film or just walking... I am just facinated with this young man... He always looks like he in deep thoughts.

I would go into withdrawal if he disappear. JMHO.

nikola6 said...

Haven't bothered looking at that video, but I'll take you guys' word for it. And if you think about it, this kind of response from teenage girls goes back to Frank Sinatra and the bobby soxers, followed by Elvis Presley and then the Beatles. BUT...

It's because of all of these screaming kids that the myth persists that this whole thing is fueled by them and we know that simply is not true. With the amount of money these books and films have made, well, there just aren't enough teenage girls in the world to put up these kinds of numbers. But this is what the media focuses on. And until they shut up and stop screaming, this perception will persist and Rob's gonna be stuck with this 'teen idol' tag. Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio survived it (the teen idol tag) and so will Rob. If he had no talent, I'd tell him to save his money and so that when all of this over and his teen idol days are over, at least financially, he'd be set. But that is not going to be the case.

If he can just keep from losing his mind for two more years, he should be fine.

nikola6 said...

And lalli...

That 'bold faced lie' that was printed about them coming out about their relationship? The liars don't care what is true or not. They just want to get hits and they'll say whatever in order to get them.

Honestly, if Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had just announced on Oprah Winfrey's show that they were indeed an 'official' couple, it would have been picked up by every media outlet and spread like a wild fire. Everyone would have picked up on this; AP (the newswire, not our dear own), Entertainment Tonight, "E", everybody. But...not a peep. And that's because they didn't do it.

And as I said, that site doesn't care about the truth. It's just counting on the sheep who follow every rumour to hit their site and spread the link so that the other sheep will follow along. And they are.

It's so frustruating. You try to explain to stop listening to all of this shit, but then you're accused of ranting so...to hell with it. Let the sheep follow every rumour.

Baa Baa Baa

nikola6 said...

And one more lalli...

He isn't doing any of this because he wants to. He HAS to. He's got a promotions clause in his contract and stepping in front of the camera to give a performance is just one half of his job. The other half is to go out and sell this franchise. Yes, he is gracious about it. But doing all of this is the last thing he wants to be doing.

And I think he's very ambitious and very much wants control back of things. He's said he wants his own production company to make the kinds of films he wants and doesn't want everything he does to be part of the Hollywood money making machine. And I think he's gonna do it.

And Monique...
Be prepared. Right now were at the mountain top. But the valley is coming. And truthfully, he's going to need it. Better that he take a year or two away from it all just to regroup and then come back and start the second phase of his career, rather than to keep going at this pace, burn out and walk away for good.

And he's gonna have enough money after Twilight (about 100 million in his pocket) if he got fed up with it all and walked away from public life for good.

And he could do it. I don't think he needs this. To express himself artistically, yes. To be famous...

NO!

nikola6 said...

And he can express himself artistically without being in the white hot heat of the media spotlight.

* He can write and record music and release it under a different name. He just won't be able to perform it publicly.

* He can write novels or film scripts and never step foot in front of the camera again.

* He can produce and direct small independent films which would require him to step just a tiny foot back into the spotlight.

But no more sexy photo shoots. No more magazine covers. No more Oprah. No more Ellen. No more Tonight Show. No more film premieres. No more HUGE MEDIA SPOTLIGHT.

I don't think this will happen, but it could. More than a few stars have just...STOPPED!

Greta Garbo walked away from superstardom at the height of her career and never uttered another word in public again.

Marlon Brando went mad and ran away to an island and blew up to 400 lbs. on Malomars.

I could list you some more. It does happen where people walk away from the fame because they cannot live with it.

Monique said...

Ah... Nik... That would be our loss. I think he's extremely talented. Not to mention... Damd Sexy too. lol.. I think I need my bed, but I can't seem to give up this site... if I go to sleep I'll miss something.

Cheeky Chops said...

Sorry, to interrupt the conversation here..but I was wondering.

I did read somewhere..he stated something about producing and directing..about wanting to do that.

Does anyone know if he really said that?

I really don't believe much on the net..so I was hoping he said it in an interview.

nikola6 said...

Yes Monique...

It would be our horrible loss. My heart would break in two if he went away and I couldn't see his work anymore or even to peek in on his life. I don't need a blow by blow or to see pictures everyday or know where he is every waking moment AND I know that I rail against the horrific intrusion into his life, but I want to know one day when he gets married and when he has his babies and that he's happy. I want to know too. I'm not above it all. I'm his fangirl too.

But it would be a great loss for the future of cinema too as I think he's going to be a very important part of that future and I'd hate to see the fame and all that, that entails, to drive him from his work. I don't think it will happen. I think all of this will die down. But I also think he NEEDS to take that break when all this Twilight craziness has ended. It's just gotten to be TOO MUCH! No one saw it coming and therefore, there was no way to prepare for it. The fact that he's handling it all as well as he is, is nothing short of a bloody miracle.

Thank god his mama and papa loved him so much and raised him right so that he could handle such things that life has thrown at him. I know I wring my hands and worry, but I really do think he's going to be just fine. He's just gotta get through all of this insanity. And he will.

nikola6 said...

Yes Kember...

He said it. He said that he'd like his own production company by the time he's 26 (just about the time that Twilight comes to an end). And I think he's set his deal up with Summit.

When an actor starts a production company, they do it through the auspices of a major studio. He's said that he'd like to make small, independents with budgets of around 5 to 10 million (kind of like what Woody Allen does). He said he just doesn't think that good stories need to cost 50 to 100 million to make. And Summit does have an independent arm and I just gotta hunch that he's made a deal with them. He goes out and sells this franchise for them and when he's ready, they'll help him set up shop.

He's also said that he's working on scripts right now (and we know he helped to shape the Remember Me script) and he also mentioned that he's working on trying to adapt a science fiction novel. If it's the one I think it is (I'm working on it too), it would be amazing because he was born to play that role.

If I could grab his attention for 5 seconds, I'd ask him if in fact, if it's this book that he's trying to adapt. And if it is, it'll cost him more than 5 to 10 million to make. This one would most definitely be a 100 million dollar production.

People have asked me the name of this book, but I won't say. If I'm right, then I wouldn't want to say it publicly. Not until he did.

So yeah. He said it. Apologies for the long explanation. But hell, it's me. When have I ever answered a question in two sentences? If I ever do, the world will stop turning on it's axis.

Cheeky Chops said...

OOOHHHHHH

Well at least tell me what he said to make you think it..maybe I'll figure it out..I love sci-fi.

Never thought he would tho.

Thanks

nikola6 said...

Kember...

It wasn't anything that he said specifically. He just said that he was trying to adapt this science fiction novel and when he said it, something in me said, 'I'll just bet it's...uh...the one I'm not gonna say. And the reason I thought this is because, he would be absolutely PERFECT for this role. I thought so shortly after I stumbled upon him. It's just so up his alley. And it's not just sci-fi. It's about physics and religion and anthropology and human culture. It's one of the most amazing stories I have ever read. It's a book that's been around for ages and Hollywood has never attempted to make it into a film. Yet, it is one of the most influential books of the 20th century. I might be wrong. He might be working on something entirely different, but my gut says no. It's this one.

And the reason I won't say what it is, is because if I am right, then I wouldn't want this 'out there' (even just lil ol me typing away on this lil ol blog). 'Cause here on the internet, a thought can turn into a rumour and then it can spread and what if I am right and he doesn't want it knownn yet? So, just best to keep mum.

And if you think you've figured out, please keep it under your hat, okay? 'Cause like I said, I could very well be wrong or I could be right and he obviously isn't ready to say just what book it is he's trying to adapt.

Thanks.

Cheeky Chops said...

Hahahahaha I'll never narrow that one down.

nikola6 said...

Oh I don't know. You're a pretty smart cookie. You just might.

And it wasn't upon first seeing him that I thought of him for this role, although this character is a VERY beautiful man and like Rob, has a beautiful body; long, lean, lanky with just the right amount of muscle AND has a face described as that of an angel with beautiful bone structure and exisite features AND gorgeous hands with long, tapered finges. It was after listening to those first handful of interviews, especially that Anne Thompson interview from Variety, that I began to get a feel for his original, soulful, thoughtful, inquisitive, intelligent, quirky and yes, innocent personality and how he perceives the world. But it was after I heard him tell that goofass Budda story that I KNEW! I said..."That's it. That's him. He is that character" (wish I could say his name, but that might give it away). And all of those adjectives I just used to describe Rob? I just described a good deal of that character as well.

And if anybody makes any guesses, I won't respond. It would be too easy to give it up.

Oh how I would love to talk to him about this. If this is the one, I've got so many ideas as to how to adapt this thing and it's gonna take one hell of an adaptation to bring it to the screen. But if he could pull it off, this would become the signature role of his career and Edward Cullen would be left in the dust.

Listen to me. I'm talking like this is a reality when in fact, it might just be a fiction. A fiction in my head.

The thing is, if I could talk to him and he told me, 'no, not that book', I swear, I'd try to talk him out of it saying...'No Rob. This is the story and role for you. Give me 5 minutes and I'll convince you.'

I wonder if I could?

nikola6 said...

And sorry for derailing the thread about something which no one here could possibly give a rip about. But it's 2:06 in the am and I figure, who's listening?

Just me. And up all night bat talking to herself.

Off the subject...I'm still kind of a newbie in the blogging world and started a Twilight blog...haven't written on it much as I've been busy with family, moving, kids, etc. But I was wondering how you get all your material (photos, videos, etc.) and how you know who to credit for their work. All the copyright/piracy stuff is unsettling. How do you know you're not "stealing"? Any advice would be great. Thanks!
