GOOD LUCK LADIES!

OVER ;)

I can't believe people are going to camp for four days, I might do an overnight, but four days! They should give them numbers on those wristbands and have them come back the day of or something. Summit sucks in general but to allow and encourage this is a new low.

jmm4832 said...

Janna, I agree. Shame on Summit.

morning ladies, this is the sweets thing i have ever encountered, you girls are the best and you are through rob fans all this just for him,he is so loved and look how he bought you all together and complete strangers, ladies i can only imagine all the fun you are having, ladies we all love you and keep safe

I feel for these two. Seems so dull, this question/answering the same old questions.
It is refreshingly quiet and orderly however.
I like the MTV interview with Kristen the best. She was asked about interest in doing theater and that was MY question, so I'm happy someone asked-finally!
I've wanted to know that answer since Cake Eaters.

@Auguret,my opinion kristen best movie was the cakeaters, that deserve an award, people now only about how kristen looks, because they like her now,any how she acts or dresses she is great,it not fair though, rob is working his tale off and i am sure he wants to be seen for his work,it's not we who hate on kristen and rob,it is actors and actresses,my be because i love rob,i do not think he deserve to be hurt but i can only, look on an observe!

I totally agree with Taylor, we in Sweden miss Robert too! Instead, we had to be content with that annoying dog ;)

ShariG said...

Whether or not they miss Rob, I really miss him. They are kind of boring and low energy without him. It is his sense of humor and the way that he kind of teases them both that makes the interviews interesting. His personality is the glue that makes the whole thing work.

These two babies look SOOOOOO tired it hurts me to watch! Nobody milks their talent like Summit... which should VERY appreciative to have such good sports in their cast.

Janna, ITA. What they do to their fans takes disdain to a whole new level. Thought they were not allowing camping until the last day, and now they're making fans stay? Hope the LA police don't roust the NBs overnight.

ADM, thanks for the updates. Can't wait for RPG's sidewalk pics!

Loisada said...

AP: yes, Taylor drew the shortest straw in BD and he certainly seems to know it! Hope Rob stops ribbing him and gives him some great support, because the poor boy is going to look silly macking on a baby no matter what...

Rob for one certainly understands by now how SM can make a guy look ridiculous, so he should have some nice pointers for the unlucky wolfboy. They really are all in this together, and they're incredibly lucky to have so much affection and respect for each other.... because without that this "saga" could be the worst piece of camp ever!!

Roblove said...

"His personality is the glue that makes the whole thing work." yes, definitely! He makes the whole thing work. Not only the interviews but the whole franchise.

The promotion is not the same without Rob...we miss you all the time Rob!!!

Vangie said...

@Lois.he drew the short straw in the whole saga,i could remember reading where taylor mention, bella should of picked jacob and from what in facted when taylor speak it's only about this love traingle, and i know the book need jacob, but did you hear kristen about the love triangle 5sec okay, because i never thought of it as a love triangle from what i read mostly at the end of eclipse jacob did not stand a chance and to me that is not being said and that is where,i miss rob,rob is not there to defend EDWARD!

Kelly Louise said...

Yeah, they do look drained from all of their energy with no Rob by their side. And of course all of the travelling and stuff must be kicking in. I don't know how they keep doing it. I'd really be useless if I had to do a promotional tour like that. For Rob it always seems so effortless.

Caroline said...

yeahhh... we all miss Rog..and it's so cute when ( around 1:40) Kristen looks to Taylor, in the end of "its weird without Rob", and she said( for herself) I miss him..

nikola6 said...

I too got the impression that Taylor is not entirely comfortable with the imprinting either. Kristen said something and he said...'yeah, but she's still a baby'. I don't know how they're going to make this work without hysterical laughter from the audience and 'pedophila' from the critics. And Tayor has every right to be worried about it. It's going to be HIS presence up there on the big screen trying to sell it, to bring some credibility to this and not be laughed off the screen in the process. He's got a career to think about and don't think a ridiculed performance can't hurt it. Exibit A...Faye Dunnaway in Mommy Dearest. She was one of the most acclaimed actresses of the seventies (and an Oscar winner) and that film, stopped her career in it's tracks and it never did recover.

Solas came up with the answer though...and that's if the imprinting saw them being their 'protectors' as oppose to their future sexual mates. THAT'S the bugaboo. And rightfully so.

And agreed Loisada...
Without these young actors 100% commitment to this story; playing it straight, no irony, no wink, wink, nudge, nudge in their performances or in the promotion of the franchise...this absolutely could have been the biggest piece of camp in years. Summit got lucky. They found the right cast.

nikola6 said...

Oh. And about "The Cakeaters"...

After seeing Kristen's performance in that, anyone tries to tell that girl can't act...I'll get in a fist fight with 'em.

She's just snagged a role in "On The Road", Jack Keroack's classic that Hollywood been's toying with for over 50 years and you can bet that EVERY actress under 30 wanted in on this. But Hollywood cast Kristen Stewart. They know how good she is.

She's just not an over emoter. She's a reactive actor. And that's rare. She's so good that you can't see the acting and that's why I think some slam her. They think she's not doing anything.

And I think part of the problem with that is, 15 years or so of reality tv where people think they're watching realistic drama play out when in fact, they're watching unprofessionals engaged in 'melodrama'. But because so much 'over the top' behavior is going on, they think they're actually SEEING something.

They are. They're seeing shit. And you force feed the brain enough of anything and...it begins to accept.

tgill said...

Looking at that interview they both look exhausted and are obviously running on empty. In comparison if you look at the set pics from WFE of Rob he looks rested and happy, he is probably delighted to have missed the bulk of the promo tours.

MMc said...

Good point, Nik, I hate reality TV of all kinds for that very reason - they over sensationalize everything.

ADM is doing a great job covering the NB twitters from LA - so far you guys know all that we know from twitter posts.

I hope it is safe for them to be out there camping - so worried about that for them.
I can't imagine that they have to do that.
Seems like they could get the wristband with a number, which they have, and then come back later and get their position in line from the band number.

Hang in there NB's - you'll see the Pretty soon!!! We are all rooting for you.

tgill said...

@nik hi I never did say thanks for answering my question. I have another one, just how much of the cost of the Twilight movie was recouped with product placement, with the exception of the SATC movies I've never seen so many global brands in one movie

Iluvthemovies said...

@Nik
ITA, if Kristen was such a horrible actress she would not have been in films with three two-time academy award winners, i.e. Jodie Foster, Robert DeNiro, and Sean Peen, and one-time academy award winner, i.e. William Hurt and multiple Emmy award winning actor, James Gandolfini. You have to respect everyone's opinion but she is a very natural actress, she does not overplay her scenes.

I also find it perplexing how they are going to incoporate the imprinting of Renesme into BD. It is one of the many reasons why I did not like the book. I wish Stephanie would re-think this and have Jacob hot and heavy for Leah who I always thought was forgotten in the book after Renesme's birth. I know it won't happen, but it is a dream I have.

Ladies of Robstock II have a safe and wonderful time. I have enjoyed your photos and luv hearing about your experiences on the streets of LA.

Iluvthemovies said...

Correction, I meant to write Sean Penn not Sean Peen. My mistake.

Kimmie said...

Hey nikola! What did you find out about sam's show??

Anonymous said...

tgill I agree, I think Robert is happy not to have to do a lot during this promo. And I also agree that he is the only one worth watching in interviews, without him Taylor and Kristen are just a pair of dull and duller.

And about the off-topic discussion, people have different tastes, some may think that she has great acting skills and some think that she has poor acting skills. Oh and being cast in supporting roles opposite established actors or actresses does NOT mean that you yourself are a good actress.

I just think that we should all respect each others' differing views of her acting, simply and peacefully (no fist fights lol).

Lemonless said...

@femroc: Did you see RPG's pic of the tent city? I think there's safety in numbers...
@iluvthemovies: Sean Peen. Ha! Freud would be proud of you. Either way.

ordbajseri said...

I really don't understand why some of you finds it confusing how they're going to project the imprinting of Renesmee and Jacob's feeling on the big screen. I think Jacob will just assume the role as an very overprotective father or big brother.

The thought of imprinting would be some kind of romantic phenomenon has never actually crossed my mind, except when Bella judged Quill for imprinting on Claire who is only 2 years old. I got the feeling that it's more about dependence and attractive force. I don't remember exactly how it's described in the book, but something like, that everything that ties Jacob to life were cut off and millions of steel cables anchored him in one thing - the center of universe, as if it were no longer gravity that kept him on ground. As if everything had been blurred before, but now he saw everything clearly...

However, I can get a little annoyed that Edwards love for Renesmee doesn't appears in the book. If the book had been written from his perspective, maybe it would have been quite different. I sincerely hope that Robert will manage to show strong feelings for the baby!

Something else that bothers me, is my English. I wish I had studied more in school, but I was to busy drawing stick figures in my notebook ;)

Anonymous said...

I agree with Nikola.

I think she's a great actress and for me it's just annoying reading the negative comments about her all the time.
I just don't understand the need to post negative comments about someone...

"Oh and being cast in supporting roles opposite established actors or actresses does NOT mean that you yourself are a good actress."

Well, it does NOT mean that she's a bad actress either.
By the way, she's only 20 years old and she's the leading actress of one of the most successful franchisings of all time. And she was casted because of a small supporting role in "Into the wild".
She's being praised for a long time for her acting skills.

Just saying... I don't like to read negative things about Rob either. I like them both.

Lemonless said...

Oh, please steer this boat another way, there are rough waters ahead!

solas said...

away from recognizing Kristen's acting worth, or away from jacob's imprinting on a baby?

Roblove said...

Everybody knows that Jacob falls for Edward's daughter. We should be concerned about Rob and Edward. In the Eclipse he is portrayed as Bella's puppet. It's hard to play the part without looking like a miserable tool. Edward was nearly absent in NM, a puppet in E (the focus is shifted to Bella - the master of puppets, which is beneficial to Stewart) and a part of the BD is from Jacob's pov. And what about Edward the invincible? He is constantly beaten up in the movies, which was never the story, while the wolves are portrayed as almighty creatures, throwing the vampires around like rag dolls. A ridiculed hero is never a good thing.
They big Taylor up all the time, that's why Taylor's team is growing, he is the coolest now. We shouldn't be worried that he is in danger of losing points with the audience. He'll be ok as long as his abs is ok :)

solas said...

ord- there were mixed messages from the imprinting, with Jacob at one point saying 'it's not like that' but then all evidence pointing to the imprintng being for one's mate, including sexual partner, lifelong love, etc. Look at how Sam and Emily had no choice and Leah was left out in the cold. If it were merely protecting, Sam could have been tied strongly to Emily to protect her, but still maintined a love for and with Leah. There was no room for anyone else once there was imprintng. So SM maybe tried to make it seem a little less disgusting, a little less bordering on pediaphile, by showing the cutesy scene with Quil, saying a 2 year old had the best protector and babystter she possibly could, but we know that when she is old enough, she will be somethng else, and that is simply not something either one (or anyone witnessing it) can really erase from the scenario.

solas said...

And Bella and Edward would not have reacted the way they dd if Jacob imprinted only as protector, not as future son-n-law , and in fact was seen as their son-in-law.
And most of all, Renesmee would not have loved Jacob more than she loved her own father if it had been only an imprinting for protection, as a 'big brother.'

solas said...

emma-- I see Edward as a torn self-loathing creature, frozen in time and away from most of the world in which he is sure he is a monster, and Rob's portrayal of this, not as merely the best looking 'god-like' object Bella (in her POV sees hm) but as a forever teenager with wisdom beyond his years that cannot help him escape the pain in what he thought was his frozen heart, as the best, nuanced performance of all--to play a frozen statue that is really crying, screaming in pain insde, who tortures himself with mistakes and self-hatred and loves beyond anything he thought possible, is something that I think most would not have pulled off, and would have been just happy to play the beautful marble frozen statue.

solas, I'm not really discussing Edward's personality. I'm talking about the public's perception of Edward (Robert).

Nancy said...

Okay, that was boring without Rob. Guess I am prejudiced, heh?

FILTMRP

It's all about the Rob effect..... smirk... Taylor and Kristen don't cut it. Really smiling here. At least he admits to missing Rob. Notice Kristen told Taylor, "Love you"... What is that about?

Now really excited about the Remember Me DVD tonight. Gotta own it soon. Must have Rob here in my house! (Its the only way I can get him)

solas said...

emma--I did understand that; I was trying to explain how I saw Rob's perception of and portrayal of Edward.

Kimmie said...

If anyone see nikola on any of these posts tell her that Kimmie is looking for her .

Roblove said...

solas, he tries to be less tortured and more human this time, but it's the script that worries me, not Robert's ability to understand the character he plays.

Iluvthemovies said...

Ok, I will keep this on a lighter note, but I do not understand why we can't have differing opinions without it becoming personal. They are only opinions, no one is right or wrong. I think it makes it so much more interesting.

With that said regarding my Freudian slip with Peen instead of Penn, I went to Ensenada, Mexico more than 10 years ago with a group of friends. We were there
for a 50 mile bike race. At the
end of the race we all went to the local watering hole called Papas and Beer.

While at Papas and Beer, one of
the bartenders filled up a glass in the shape of man's penis. They
put on the Mexican Hat Dance song and after the chorus, the bartender
would walk amongst the group of
people in the bar and would shake the glass so foam would start to build up until the foam
squirted through the tip of the glass by a pretty female.

That is how I imagined Edward and
Bella finally consumating their love, it was described that he looked like marble and glass and I imagine that bartender and then
imagine Edward and tell myself so
this was how Renesme was conceived.
I just wonder if the Mexican Hat Dance was playing in the background when he had to perform.
Enough said. Have a great evening ladies.

@Lois, ITA, @11:02, they are obviously wiped out but soldier on, especially Kristen (those tired eyes OMG), she's really trying hard and Taylor is so low key and not with the snappy responses. Yuh, Summit chose wisely, young actors who can't say no and will do whatever they tell them to, just like soldiers. As I said before, as if Eclipse NEEDED this amount of promotion.
@Nik, if you pop in again, have you ever seen anything close to this zealous promotion for a franchise movie? Not to mention the merchandizing has been racheted up too. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
OT, Rob was obviously missed here. He might have been tired too, but it would have been way more interesting, funny, and "nutty".

lallieb said...

@Lluv, that explains it! Good analogy, liked that story 'cause how else given physical description of Edward. Always been a problem for me, visualizing the HOW..LOL
