Awwwww - these are SO good. He really did well on Leno and I think it really helps him to have his folks there.
Due to Father's Day this weekend - it was extra special that he read his Father's emails so sweetly and gave his dad that tribute in front of everyone. It was so obvious that dad was super proud of his boy.
Leno actually did a good job with the interview - I was pleasantly surprized - this was one of my favorites that he's had lately. Rob said he likes to put a little insight into his life in his interviews and he did just that.

That suit looks like a Gucci, it fits him perfect. Loved the interview, very sweet involving his Dad which you could tell how proud his parents were of him and I am sure of their daughters as well. Very nice family that raised a son for us all to enjoy in many ways.

I agree, having his parents there appears to have made a difference. It seemed that he wanted to please them, wanted reassurance from them that he was doing a good job, that he was not offending (I had noticed this when he was on The View as well, as if he might have offended or dshonoured or angered his parents at one point and was now trying to make ammends); he also seemed to concentrate more, focus more. I also wonder if he was permitted to get some sleep in order to do this show, rather than rush from set to activity, because he seemed so focused, coherent, and less distracted, and I am not sure if it was solely due to his parents' presence. Could be a good combination: sleep and parents' presence, or at least approval.

I mean it was JUST last night! Rob has devoted fans that protect him........I like that.
On big shows like Leno - I'm sure they go over questions prior to the show so Rob didn't have to come up with answers off the cuff so to speak - remember he said he didn't like to do that - preferred to think about his answers first? I bet he got the chance to do that for Leno.
It was a GREAT interview - my FAVORITE of all of his so far - personal, sexy, heart warming, funny, revealing, sensitive, mature but also vulnerable and innocent, just had all the qualities we love about Rob.

evangeline--I don't know from fashion, especially men's fashion, but one suit he wore, perhaps BAFTA, but I think from Red Carpet perhaps for New Moon, was particularly beautful, with narrow un-notched lapel, fit as if made just for himself (I believe some on this site, far more knowledgable/fashionable than I, said it most likely was tailored specfcally for himself). Is that the suit you mean?

I was going back over the set photos from HP, Twilight movies, LA, RM, BA, and WFE (so many acronyms!) and Rob truly does become a different person with each movie. He has subtle nuances in his expressions that changes him with every character. And with each one, he shows us a another facet of his beauty. And he is one beautiful man. I know we call him The Pretty, but really, his is a masculine beauty. I saw a photo of his parents signing autographs outside of the Leno show and Papa Pattinson is looking down, you could see that Rob does resemble his father-the same hair and hairline, forehead, eyebrows. And Mama Pattinson looks like a mature version of her daughters. Talk about good genes!

And Rob honey, I think you may have some competition here and it ain't with the puppy. I think a line is forming for your daddy. I know I'm standing in it. It was the look on his face when his child was reading those e-mails. It got me.
If that wasn't the sweetest thing. The boy wanting to share who his father is with the world and the father showing modesty over that. It was such a lovely moment.
I knew from day one that there was something different about this one. That he wasn't the usual run of the mill that shows up in Hollywood looking for stardom. I can't explain it. I just felt it. And we've all known for some time now that he comes from a good family, whose raised him well. But last night, we were given a deeper look into that...just for a moment. The love that boy has for them and them for him. Even through a tv screen, you could feel it.
I swear if I thought I loved him before...

Agreed. He does look like his father. I've always thought so. But he's got his mama too. The masculinity of his father's looks and the beauty of his mother. It's like he's a perfect combination of them both. The masculine; the strong bone structure, that magnificent jawline, the heavy brow, the five o'clock shadow. The beauty; the eyes, those long lashes, that full, sensuous mouth, his beautiful peaches and cream complexsion, his exquisite hands. He is both beautiful and masculine. And that is rare.
And yes, he is a chameleon. He just has that ability to transform himself physically. Take a photo of him as Dali, as Art and as Edward. Lay them side by side. They don't even look like the same man. It's uncanny. And that is not something you can learn in a drama school. Either you can do it. Or you can't. And that too is rare.

Pappa P looks like a lovely Man. I think that's where Rob gets he sweetness from. The way Richard looked all shy when Rob read his email. was a gesture Rob does to. I'm so glad pappa P is feeling better. I remember he didn't go on the families last trip to spend time with Rob because he was ill. Rmember that little interview with the whole of Robs family (sisters, mom, uncle, aunt, cousins) back stage. They said he was ill.

lalli is right. You're not gonna get a alot of response around here with the gossip. Well. Except those who like the gossip. Most of us don't because it's not reputable and most of those sites are just stirring the shit pot where his life is concerned. He has said many times that he despises the twiddle because more than anything else as it is the most intrusive into his life. And how can you trust it? I could open an account and make up some big whoppin' lie about getting drunk with him and making out in a back alley. And yeah, I'd get shot down as a liar, but it would be out there and some might believe it. Especially those who will jump on anything to say...see, he is single. Or, he's a lousy cheat.
We trust the ladies who run this blog to bring us the correct information and they rely on the reputable gossip cop to shoot down the crap.
I can't tell you what to read (although I did advise you to avoid this stuff because it was upsetting you so much), but like I said (and lalli), you're not gonna get much response here and by bringing it here, it just stirs that shit pot.
But you need to decide what is best for you and how you want to want to participate in a fandom as that is everyone's choice. I just want you to have fun with it. And there's enough good and lovely out there on him. Enough to keep us occupied.

I don't know if I'm a night stalker, but I am an insomniac. And I never sleep during the day. I guess that's why I'm so loopy. Well, that's as good an excuse as any I suppose. LOL!

I personally think that it's just desicable. Not people talking to each other on it, but people talking about other people on it. Gossiping. What I don't understand is, how it can be trusted? I wrote basically this same message earlier on the day's crazy posting. I then decided that I want to be sure most of you see it. So a copy and paste to deliver a little congrat message to the administrators of this blog and all you ladies who contribute. I believe everyone needs to be reminded how great this forum really is.
I started viewing this blog purely out of curiosity about Rob. I have found great enjoyment reading and learning about all the women who blog here. With the exception of the few who visit only to stir trouble, I am impressed with the variety of countries, cultures, age range, religions, family background and occupations of all who chat here. I would like to give all of you a big hand of applause. Maybe there is really some hope for the world if a group of so differing individuals can come to gather and enjoy each other and learn. My daughters tease me about my Rob fascination. I explained to them that getting to know you guys has been a real joy and maybe a more interesting and lasting experience than stalking Rob. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy his pictures and interviews. But he is after all for me, just a fun fantasy since I am old enough to be his grandmother plus some. I like to think HE and I met in a former life and just haven't broken the connection!!!!! (smile)

And another thing about Emma Roberts and what happened to her on twiddle...
That girl is very well connected in this business. Her father is Eric Roberts and her aunt is JULIA ROBERTS! The biggest female movie star of the last 20 friggin' years.
And within the industry, this is not going to reflect badly on Emma because it really wasn't that much. Certainly not enough to warrant being bullied off of twiddle because of it. And according to what evangaline said, some called her a c*nt (how proud Rob must be). How dare they. If anything, she's gonna get the sympathy. And if it's gonna refect badly on anything, it's gonna be this Twilight fandom (and no, Rob doesn't get blamed for the insanity because they know he has no control over it although it might be interesting to hear what Julia Roberts might have to say to him if/when they run into one another).
The industry and the media already thinks that this is a crazy, over the top, rabid, out of control, insane, obsessed fandom. So much so that it's stars require 24/7 security because their lives have been threatened AND it is MOCKED! Laughed at. Much like the Trekkies from Star Trek, even more so. And what just happened with Emma Roberts has not helped the situation.
And you can bet the house that you're sitting in, that this has embarrassed Rob. She is a colleague of his in that they share the same profession and they may very well be cast together in a film one day.
I'm usually pretty open with friends and family about whatever it is I'm into at the moment. But I am hesitant to align myself with the Twilight fandom. My friends and family know that I've read the books and seen the films and that I think Rob Pattinson is cute and talented. But only my very best friend (whom I've known since since I was 8 years old and I can hide nothing from her) and one other friend (who's a Hugh Jackman fanatic and blogger so I figured she'd understand and she does...to a degree) knows that I belong to a Rob Pattinson blog. And that's because I don't want to be mocked for it. I have friends in the industy and I'd die if they knew. If they did, my credibility would go sailing straight out the window.
And it wouldn't be because I'm a fan of something. I'd wouldn't have one problem whatsoever telling people I was part of an online community with the Harry Potter. And that's because it doesn't carry the stigman of THIS insane fandom. People think were nuts. And a lot are. It is justifiable criticism.
And what just happened with Emma Roberts is proof of that.

And that is why I'm HERE. Because I think of this place as an oasis from the rest of the fandom. Until...others drag it into the room.
Before I registered here, I looked around quite a bit. I'd never done anything like this before and I wanted to make sure I landed in the right spot. And I did. Even though things can get a little dicey every now and again, I'm pretty sure I made the right choice.
And it is the variety of people here who are here for a variety of reasons and that's great. We don't all have to be coming from the same place, but there does seem to be a common thread here...we love and adore that man (and we express that in different ways) and we want him to have a happy and wonderful life. And that's the bottom line.
And we care about each other too. Well, as much as we can with the limitations of online communication. But I have great hopes (starting this next week), that I'm going to be able to take what I've found here to the next level. I'm actually going to be able to meet face to face with some of the people I've been talking to here and I'm so happy about that. And then hopefully, next month, there will be another opportunity to meet people here who are from California and who knows what will come of that? Friendships that might flourish because of our close proxsimity...proxcimity...because we can get to each other within an hour or two? Who knows. Hope so.
I know that some think, that is not what this is suppose to be about at all. Were just suppose to come here and comment and that's it. But what if there was the chance that some real friendships could develop out of this? Wouldn't that be wonderful? That we might discover we have more in common than just our love for this adorable man? Why not? Why is that somehow wrong to even want to find out?
Because like I said...
Rob brought us here and he's the glue that holds it all together, but...this blog is really about the people who come here and interact with each other. And if something other than just mere online chatting can come out of it, then what Rob will be doing is, bringing people together.
And for my money, that's more important than any movie he could make. THAT would really be having an impact on people's lives.

Yes, ladies, it's a great blog, and I'm glad trolls don't last here. We have differences of opinion, sure, and some like it light and sexy, while others tend toward the more thoughtful approach, and some of us like both, mixed, not shaken.

I have to say, however, I am a little hurt that Goz and the ladies did not post my RM article here, on 'my home' place. I should probably not have mentioned this, but when you work hard on something, as I did on that RM piece, it's easy to be hurt and disappointed that your 'family' doesn't like it. If you can get here (to LA) then all are welcome. I'm thinking this will be some Saturday in July. My thought was, I'd book a couple of hotel rooms (with two king sized beds and some rollaways if needed...depending on our number) so we'd have a place to hang and just watch his films and talk and...whatever. And then of course we'd have to go over to his In N Out for a double double in his honor. And then maybe over to Wasteland and buy some junk clothes to put on our backs.
Just a fun, silly day meeting each other, checking out a few of his haunts and even a sleep over if we get to drunk to drive home. LOL!

I read your Remember Me piece and I thought it was just beautiful. I said so after I read it. I hope you saw that. And yeah, it would have been great to have had it included here as we have such a great readership on this blog. Maybe you could ask one more time with the release of the DVD upon us next week. And I haven't forgotten about it. That final image will haunt me for as long as I've got operating brain cells.
I think it is going to be one of those films that is more appreciated with the passage of time. I think it is a very important film, for many reasons and if it's remembered for anything it will be...that this was the first film to deal with this subject in a fictional setting. And that is important as it's kicked in the door for other fictional stories about that unimaginable day to be told to us.
And you watch and see if the reviews for it don't improve with the release of the DVD. They always do. And that's because it gives the reviewer that second chance to watch it. And we always see more the second time we see something. Always.
But if you're willing to risk rejection one more time, ask if your article can be published here on the day of it's DVD release. It's worth a shot. And if I didn't thank you before for writing it...thank you.

As I said to the blog creators of the originating sites, I am not--of this I am sure--invested in any kudos to me specifically about my work, except insofar as these articles can shine a better light on this superlative film and Rob's role in it. I am invested in the film and want, in my small way, to garner recognition for it however I can.
If my articles can do that, then they achieved my objective. I guess I want people to know that so that they don't think I want glory for myself.
I've become a bit of a proselytizer about Remember Me; and I hate people who 'push their religion' on others! But I guess I prefer to think of myself as an advocate, because this film needs one.
I wrote the "Oscar and Remember Me" article, as well as one on "Tyler's Journal" and another coming soon, "Recurrences and Resurrection", about the mirroring and bookending devices and how they work. And the originator of the bilingual blog, who has commented here in the past (WhyistheRumalwaysgone) has written superb articles herself. She's a mind-blowningly insightful person. Her blog is for people who like to explore RM, and believe me, there's so much in this movie it is mind-boggling.
The articles are not heavy reading but are miles ahead of what passes for articles on most of the fan blogs and sites.
I invite anyone interested to visit these two sister sites and see what excellent stuff is there!

Well, I hope you get this message. As usual real life and my job got in the way of answering more quickly. It's a weird thing, following threads and trying to remember which ones were the interesting ones to return to.
Oh and I'm not going to pursue the administrators here about it anymore. If someone else wants to, go ahead. I think I've nagged them enough. There's a point at which you just throw in the towel and let the chips fall where they may. Cool mixed cliches, huh!
And you might be right about DVD reviews. I don't know if I can bear to read them though. If I read one more assinine review, I might shoot somebody.
