@sarsaparilla...

I believe that Jenna Bush is one of the twin daughters of former President Dubya Bush. I was not aware that she'd gone into journalism though. Maybe she hasn't and this is a different Jenna Bush.

Ana73 said...

yeah according to the other thread it is former pres. daughter. i think i had heard somewhere that she was getting into journalism. lucky girl :))

YAY, more interviews , can't wait to watch !!!

nikola6 said...

And yeah, makes sense that he's pre-taped this. I can't see him leaving the west coast and this set to go do publicity in New York and across the pond. Strictly west coast shows this go round. And I seriously doubt he'll attend any premieres other than in Hollywood.

He just can't this time. And it's not like Summit has to drag his gorgeous ass all over god's green earth to sell this thing. It's sold. If he never spoke another word of publicity for this franchise...it's still sold. Everything he does from this point on is a gift 'cause he doesn't have to do it to ensure the continued success of this thing.

And do you know how many actors would say...'That's it. This thing is sold. I'm through. I'm done. May I have my check please?'

Alot.

nikola6 said...

I thought Jenna was going into teaching. And isn't she the blonde one who looks like her dad and her twin Barbara is the dark haired one who looks like her mother, Laura? Both pretty girls. Well, their parents are good looking. Stands to reason.

sarsaparilla said...

Thx Nik , I guessed it after I typed my response her name seemed familiar - didn't know she was in to Television.
Not that it is a pleasure to see these pics , but again the age old question - what is being compromised for these - yesterday there was this news that they apprehended a teenage girl on the set of WFE with a camera - could have been a rumor. I am really not happy that they get pics of the artist while they are working , or going about their mundane routine -Again, I do visit this blog though ( none other )making me join the others who set a demand for these pictures !So it is confusing.

BellaMarie247 said...

No smiles today?
@Emily> ITA these photos are good/bad but we gotta look, right?
Like I said, I'm only a mere human.

Half-way through the book, WFE is a great read and love picturing Rob while I'm reading. Usually, it's book first then movie and then disappointment...something tells me NOT THIS TIME!

Ana73,

Hehehee, that's why I only said I would "try"..I'm a reactions personality, so I typically react first, then think later...it gets me in trouble a lot.

OK, Ladies. I'm trying to fill out my Role-Playing Spunk Ransom profile (I've had one for a while :)) and I'm pretty sure, this sums it up;

Spunk Ransom

I'm seeking:

A like-minded woman to share a disastrous 3-9 month relationship with, ending in acrimony, emotional chaos and hopefully legal proceedings. Basically what I want is an attractive female who will at first give me obsessive love, praise and devotion - but whose paranoia, self-loathing, fear of rejection and abandonment will eventually lead her to alternately push me away and pull me closer in a love/hate cycle that will lead to infidelity, consensual sexual spanking and the eventual emotional breakdown of one or other party - or if we're lucky - both! You should: * be 20 to 35 years old, *have a history of short, intense, drama-driven relationships, *have undergone negative psychiatric evaluations in the past and *be willing to threaten self-harm as a weapon to control your partner and make them stay with you and care for you. Although not completely necessary, I would prefer women who are married or already in an unstable relationship and who drink to forget. 0;D

Tell me what yall think, seriously.

Kember

nikola6 said...

I think you just described Rob's perceived public persona (where women are concerned) which I believe is a mask he's hinted at in order to hide his conventional, suburban upbringing which I think he wishes to emulate in his own life. Despite what he says, I think what this guy really wants is a wife, a couple of kids, a dog, a cat, a simple abode, toys in the driveway and a collection of baseball caps.

I think he's that perfect combination of Ray Romano and Lord Byron. Which is what makes him so absolutely fucking interesting.

Just my take.

nikola6 said...

But you nailed that perceived public persona Kember.

YOU. NAILED. IT.

dina said...

@Nik was there ever any doubt that he is like you have descriped him? If you read his interviews or listen to him, you have your little clues to figure things out.

LM said...

nik & dina,

I agree. He is NOT a Hollywood Mister Wonderful, look at handsome me, let's see how many women I can seduce today kind of guy at all. It is delightfully refreshing and endearing.

Cheeky Chops said...

Well, you know. I'm all about the comedic sarcasm. :D Thank You Thank You.

I cannot wait to put it on his profile. If I can remember the damn password. LOL

Oh, and I'm bouncing in my seat anticipating that Jenna Bush interview. She is a teacher BTW. :)

And in addition to...

The wife, the kids, the dog, the cat, the abode, the toys in the driveway and the baseball caps. Let me add...

His boyhood mates, some good books,
his piano, his guitar and some beer.

Yeah. I think that's what he wants because despite his complexities, I think at heart he is a rather simple man who understands that the joy in life, lies in it's simplicities. And he may not get these things because his life has taken a 180 on him, but I think this really is...who he is.

Just a hunch.

nikola6 said...

Because I think he wants conformity even though the non-comformist in him looks at it with a shrug, a raised eyebrow and a roll of the eyes. And I understand that one hundred thousand percent as I am the exact same way.

Man. What an interesting topic of conversation...even though it appears I am having it with myself.

**rolls her own eyes**

Okay. Time to stop playing with myself in public.

@ Nick during one of my sleepless nights while travelling fron link to link I came across this:"My description of Rob: He is a smart, charming, lovely and flattering big "child". He's got an incredibly creative and tortured soul. You should know him behind the stage, at home. He is crazily in love with Kristen and would do anything for her. My description of Kristen: She is matured beyond her age, but not enough and she knows it. She is highly sensitive, generous, genuine and smart. She adores Rob and she's doing her best to make the relationship work. Rob would have already married her. She knows they are too young. She doesn't feel ready to even ackwoledge the relationship, so, please, Just let them be and time will tell what's the best for them, individually or as a couple."
Remember when we talk about some insiders who post from time to time, I think this is one of them.

sarsaparilla said...

Good evening ladies ! What a contrasting description of one person -if I am wrong -we barely know.Hope the one sketched by dina is true and HEA :))

Loisada said...

Nik: Just look at the friends he keeps, not a one of whom are womanizers. Look at the older men in the business he has formed an instant bond with: Hugh Jackman, Peter Facinelli, Chris Weitz... all steady, down-to-earth dads. Look at his happily married parents. Look at his bond with and respect for his sisters. His outrageous love for his dog. His loyalty to his old mates. Once he's found the girl to fit the dream, how could Rob Pattinson be anything but a ridiculously happy family man?

We can only hope the fact that everything was thrown into his lap so early doesn't make it impossible to keep all the balls gliding smoothly through the air... because it's going to be a tough juggling act.

LM said...

Loisada,

You and Nik have said it all.

Loisada said...

LOL at RPG: you're better at tongue holding than I, luv. As I hinted on the other thread, nepotism makes the strangest people pop up at the strangest places! Of this much we can be sure, Rob is enough of a gentleman to make her look good no matter how milk toast the interview is.

Which reminds me: I don't recall Rob ever bringing politics into a conversion. He laughs at Americans' prudish ways, but keeps his finger out of the political pot. The result of an upper crust British upbringing, or a highly diplomatic choice? And why do I imagine that the Stewart and the Pattinson households would butt heads in this arena? Wise move, Rob, wise move!

Cheeky Chops said...

OHHH he brought up politics before. When he said he completely agreed about the Obama thing on Oprah. God love him. ;)

But anyways....

I would just like to say, for the record, even though it's not about what we're discussing....

James Corden: KARMA IS A BITCH :D

We sci-fi freaks/sickly internet moles LOVE Patrick Stewart. Didn't have too meet Robert in that car-park after all.

....dickhead~!!!

Cheeky Chops said...

Oh, I'm sorry..that's SIR Patrick Stewart. Sorry Ladies, I'll go back to writing hate mail....

*runs outa post*~~~~~~~~~

@Nik, not sure, but read Kember's again. I think, with no disrespect K, you're describing yourself? Certainly not Kristen or someone Rob would consider, but good for you putting it all down..for Rob. It's late so comprehension may be compromised here.
Nik, also with no disrespect, I agree that ultimately that would be Rob's goal for his personal life, but at this point in it, I just don't imagine he's got any of that on his radar. I'd love to know what he does have there, but as you have said, we know of him, but don't really know him. I keep having to adjust to the public (MTV) Rob, the plethora of photos, and those interviews to wrap my head around who he might be, and why do I cherish him so much. And why do I care about his relationship with Kristen, who has so much difficulty finding her way when the camera is on her. I want to know more about her and what makes her so special to Rob. Peace out!

lallieb said...

@RPG, never saw any comment that I recall that got you in "trouble", and not sure I agree with why you got deleted. I know why, but can't say I agree, I'm reactive too and sometimes just can't hold back. I'm learning.
I'm actually looking forward to Rob's interview with Jenna and how she deals with him and vice-versa. She's real new to this and young, so might be a bit different than Matt Lauer just asking the same old, same old questions. Even if she does, he'll have some fun with her, I'm thinking.

Cheeky Chops said...

@Lall-One of my fave lines in a movie. A movie you would probably never see, because you're a twi-hard, is:

Man, I hate it when someone says: "WITH NO DISRESPECT, because it is inevitably followed by a disrespectful remark."

With ALL due respect (which is proper grammar btw) I don't give a damn about your opinion. Whether I have/want a relationship like that, it doesn't pertain to you. Unless you have something swinging between your legs. Which you just might, seeing as you have mentally delved into my personal life, my wants, and my needs.

No, we can't tell who a person is just by a few COMMENTS/interviews. I personally think it would do Robert some good to have a fling with an older married woman. Teach him a few things and she definitely wouldn't be in the spotlight, or try not to be, I would hope. But Robert seems to be doing just fine whatever his personal status is right now. I have no idea what he wants for the future. We all know he likes to work though.

Cheeky Chops said...

Oh wait. That's right, yes I am Spunk Ransom. Hell yea, bring on the older married crazies. Lurve me some Cougar. RAWRRRRR~!!! LOL

Cheeky Chops said...

Sorry Lall, I wasn't in my Spunk Ransom mode. LOL

nikola6 said...

No lalli...

I wasn't describing myself or imagining I'm the type of woman he seeks. That is what you were implying, yes? I was responding to Kember who I believe nailed the 'perception' of the type of woman he says he finds attractive. Namely, a drama queen; crazy, volitile, an emotional vampire who sucks the life out of her partner. And he very well may find that kind of woman attractive. But then that would imply he seeks a crazy, volitile, all over the emotional map kind of life. The kind of life that tortured, artistic souls tend to lead. Lives of excess because they believe that it is in the excess of life that the true experiences lie. And I think it's a smoke screen to cover that what he actually seeks is conformity. I do not know that he does, it is simply an observation from the way he appears to live his life as oppose to the way he talks about it. He does not live a life of Hollywood excess and he could as it has all been laid out at his feet and it is his for the taking. But he appears to have taken a pass.

Where I would say that I feel a similiarity to him is (if my assumptions are correct), I too am a non-conformist who sometimes longs for comformity. I have never married. I have no children nor their toys in the driveway. I am an orphan whose four parents are dead (both birth and adopted). I have no family home. I am rootless. I live like a vagabond gypsy, picking up and moving almost at whim. And I see the world around me living in the same houses they've lived in for years, raising children, going to the PTA meetings, the soccer games, the ballet and piano recitals and I sometimes wish to be a member of the club too. But I also wonder if it would bore me to the point of madness. And apparently, I haven't wanted it enough because my application into the club is still sitting on the counter waiting to be filled out. I do not know if Rob is as conflicted about it as I am. My guess would be...no. I think he says one thing because he's still very young and is still trying to figure out who he is and yeah, some of these things he says come off sounding way cool. But it is just my observation that he wants a simple home life of conformity that would then balance out his non-conformist ideas as an artist. As I do not know him, this is only a guess.

But in the past year (since he has been with Kristen), he has spoken about wanting a house and another dog and some children. And not necessarily with her as I do not know the depth of his feelings for her. But I do think these desires are quite unusual in these modern times for a young man of 23-24.

In his newfound position, he should be out strutting his way about like "the new kid in town" sleeping his way through the ranks of the trophy females of the herd (the actresses and the supermodels) and getting up to all kinds of general mischief with his pack as a young alpha male of the society living that life of excess where the supposed true experiences lie. He appears to be doing none of that. Although we cannot peek behind his closed doors, I can only imagine that what is going on behind them is some form of domesticity.

And I agree, it is very late and I don't know that I'm making much sense either. And with that, I shall bid you a goodnight.

nikola6 said...

Oh. As to what makes Kristen so special to him? As he has not gone into great detail about that, I couldn't say for sure. He has said that she is strong and smart and sweet and that there is a fierceness about her and that he's never known anyone like her.

I do believe that a lot of people project onto him what it is they want and need him to be for THEM! But if you want some real insight as to who he actually is, take a good look at the girl he has chosen (out of a multitude of candidates) to be with. That choice right there speaks VOLUMES as to who he really is and what it is he wants and finds interesting, fascinating, attractive, appealing...whatever.

Look at the girl and you'll see a great deal of who he really is.

Cheeky Chops said...

@Nik-I understand where you're coming from. Sounds like a pretty good life to me. Of course that other sounds rather good too. Take it from someone who has kids. You can have both, if you can balance it out. I think maybe Robert could do that balancing act quite well, when he gets older of course. :)

Cheeky Chops said...

And since this thread is dead....

@re: YOU.NAILED.IT.

I know I did~!!!
