Rob making year-end lists is nothing new but here are a few that stand out :)

  • GQ: Rob was number 20 out of 25 for the most stylish men of 2012. GQ had this to say - "Pattinson's year was spent crisscrossing the globe in promotion of three flicks, giving the actor plenty of opportunities to break out his preferred Gucci suits, which he did in rapid, colorful succession. But it's not just tonal suit and shirt pairings the now former vampire got right; his grunge 2.0 getups have us wondering how much flannel we'll see on the Fall '13 runways."
  • Forbes: Rob is 5th out of 10 top grossing actors of 2012, his films earning $793 million.
  • Elle UK: Rob came in number 3 for 2012 Men of the Year. They had this to say - "You don’t have to be a Twihard to fall for R-Patz. Brooding, mysterious, and just a little bit vulnerable."
  • InStyle UK: Tied with Prince Harry for 2012's most eligible bachelor. Rob was voted the most ideal groom. HA! Naturally. He's ideal at everything. ;)
Rob is still in the running for eOnline's Celeb of the Year and Leading Man of the Year seems to still be collecting votes. I don't understand eOnline other than them wanting to cause online riots and gather hits. Click HERE for Celeb of the Year Quarter finals and HERE for Leading Man.

Cosmopolis keeps making year-end lists too! We'll post the next round of them soon. Enjoy the holidays!

VIDEO: Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis makes Criterion Corner's top 25 films of 2012

UPDATE: Adding this great write-up from Moviefone about Cosmopolis. The film made their 10 Best Films You Didn't See in 2012 list:
There seemed to be a little juice behind Canadian director David Cronenberg's latest effort, a wonderfully meandering adaptation of Dom DeLillo's novel of the same name that charts a single, seemingly endless limousine ride. For one, the film premiered at Cannes, to mostly ecstatic audiences (full disclosure: I was in one of them), and for another, Cronenberg loaded his bizarre contraption with a secret weapon: Robert Pattinson. As a disaffected billionaire, Pattinson showed unheard of gravitas and wit, both of which were sorely missing during his five-movie tenure as sparkly vampire Edward in the "Twilight" movies. But not even his handsome or borderline hieroglyphic face, could get people to come out to "Cosmopolis." Granted, the movie is pretty weird. But it's also tremendously rewarding -- it works its hooks into you and, months after seeing it, I still can't stop thinking about it. It's also part of 2012's great limousine ride double feature, along with Leos Carax's equally strange "Holy Motors." The mini-bar optional.
I've always loved film montages. This is a great one from Criterion Corner with awesome music. Visit the Vimeo page for a list of the songs.

This is especially cool to have Rob's film honored here since he once said all he wanted for Christmas was the entire Criterion Collection. ;) Click HERE to read the interview from 2009.

He's got to feel pretty proud Cosmopolis made their cut. :)

Robert Pattinson's "Cosmopolis" On Playlist's 50 Most Anticipated Film's Of 2012

“Cosmopolis”

Synopsis: Based on the novel by American author Don DeLillo, it centers on Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson), a young multi-billionaire making an epic, ultimately doomed limo ride across New York City.

What You Need to Know: David Cronenberg is enjoying an unparalleled level of critical and commercial acceptance after decades hovering on the fringe. At the outset, “Cosmopolis” seems to fall in line with the mannered, critic-friendly films of the recent Cronenberg era. It is, after all, an adaptation of a critically revered and best-selling novel and stars hunky heartthrob-of-the-moment Robert Pattinson. But on closer inspection, the movie seems more atypical and dangerous (a good thing, since “A Dangerous Method” felt far too safe for a filmmaker known for exploding heads and genital mutilation), taking place primarily in a stretch limousine as it crawls through New York City (not exactly a cinematic conceit). A number of Cronenberg’s favorite thematic tics are explored, too, including man’s relationship with modern technology, the messiness of murder and sexual obsession. So while it might be sold as another buttoned-up late era Cronenberg think piece, we’re hoping it’s going to be ruder, looser, and more like the days of yore, even if it has to be without the exploding heads and genital mutilation.

Release Date: With press for “A Dangerous Method” occupying much of Cronenberg’s time in the fall of 2011, our guess is the fall film festival circuit will be the earliest we see the picture.

I know Rob can you believe it?
Don't worry you're No1 on all OUR lists (including my Christmas Wish List ;-} Well a girl can dream, right?)

No. 3 Robert Pattinson -For every $1 Pattinson is paid, his films earn an average of $39.43.

The Twilight star ranks lower than Kristen Stewart because he’s been busy. Only one of his Twilight films, Eclipse, qualifies for the list. The other films we looked at for Pattinson were Water for Elephants and Remember Me.

ROBERT PATTINSON

While Twi-hards can't get enough of Pattinson (Kat: It's not only Twi-hards!!!) – or his waxen face – the British star who's played vampire Edward Cullen since 2008 is done with the look of the undead. "I'm so sick of my own pallid, gray complexion," he's said. "Having that makeup put on every single day, as soon as you get it taken off, it's like, 'Oh, you do look normal. You look healthy now.'"

Gone is the slouchy, wild-haired vampire pin-up that we know and love (Kate: Emm we love him for more than that, thank you very much!): RPattz walked the red carpet in Gucci, looking significantly sharper than he has for some time.

ROBERT PATTINSON (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse)

Yes, Edward's still dreamy enough to make a girl want to turn vampire to spend eternity with him, but honestly, we're never more drawn to Pattinson than when he's being himself, whether it's playfully arguing with Stewart on the Eclipse DVD commentary or going door-to-door in Chicago inviting Twihards to a taping of Oprah. (Tink: TRUFAX! TRUFAX! RealRob is the best Rob.)

Robert Pattinson - A Minimilist Celeb

Because every kind of list should be made (lists are good) - here's a new one I haven't heard of before - a list of Minimalist Celebs! And of course Robert Pattinson made it!

Photobucket

The List includes New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, “Mad Men” actor Vincent Kartheiser, Canadian singer Jane Siberry, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, and our beloved Rob.

“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson probably gets lots of presents from fans and brands that want to be associated with his pretty mug, but apparently, he’s not into material things. “I’m not one for comforts and stuff. I think I can kind of do without most things. I bought a really nice guitar recently, which is the only thing I’ve ever really spent a lot of money on,” he said. “But that’s the only thing. I had my apartment in London before when I was unemployed—this tiny little place and I liked it more. You had to walk through a restaurant kitchen and up this staircase filled with trash and there’s no heating. I like that. But now it’s quite difficult. I can’t live in places like that anymore.” Which is a shame because living on the other side of a restaurant kitchen sounds perfect for midnight snacking shenanigans.

ROBERT PATTINSON

Age: 24

What He's Done: Nothing really, unless you ask his rabid, undying worldwide audience of fans who would walk across hot coals to see him play vampire Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight' saga. Before that, he was known as Cedric Diggory from the 'Harry Potter' franchise. He has also tried his hand at more artsy endeavors, playing Salvador Dali in 2008's 'Little Ashes' and a melancholic lover in 2010's 'Remember Me.'

What's Next: Of course, the final 'Twilight' movies ('Breaking Dawn,' which has been divided into two films) are slated for release in 2011 and 2012. In 2011, he's also set to play a womanizing Parisian in 'Bel Ami,' and a veterinary student who runs away with the circus in 'Water for Elephants.'

Did You Know?: Pattinson fans know everything about him, so this isn't revelatory, but Pattinson is a distant relative of Vlad the Impaler, upon whom Bram Stoker's Dracula character was based.
