New Video interview where Robert Pattinson Talks About His Most Iconic Performances To GQ FOR 23 MINUTES!!!!!!

Enjoy!

Thanks to Blondemel for the heads up!

Robert Pattinson's "flawless sense of fashion" is one of British GQ's 50 Best Dressed Men & MORE

imgboxRob really knows how to dazzle on the red carpet and keep his casual style personal and cool.

British GQ definitely notices as well.

From British GQ:
 23. Robert Pattinson (Re-entry)
"We love his style because he is willing to experiment and have fun with clothes." Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, designers, Kenzo.
GQ says: From teenage heart-throb to seriously respected actor, Britain's most bankable star has never lost his flawless sense of fashion.

Rob's recent pics from his night out with FKA twigs also got attention for his fashion choice.

They were both wearing a brand called Whistles and they gave Rob a shout out on their twitter account.

ASOC went on to add further commentary to Rob's curbside couture ("Smashed it."), naming his look "Outfit of the Day":
Robert Pattinson gave us a lesson in seasonal colour coordination while out for a stroll with girlfriend FKA Twigs at the weekend. Piecing together bold browns and blacks, the actor exuded casj-cool minimalism in this ‘fit. Wise to the fact there’s no need for a proper winter coat in the strangely mild weather we’ve been having this season, R-Patz layered a brown knitted jumper underneath his trusty black bomber to achieve a styled yet relaxed feel.

Did British GQ just call Robert Pattinson the King Of Cannes? Why yes they did!

Did British GQ just call Robert Pattinson the King Of Cannes? Why yes they did!

ALL HAIL HIS MAJESTY!!!

British GQ has been on a complimentary sprees this week regarding Rob's fashion choices at Cannes! Check out their comments:

 photo f5b853ad-97fd-4bd4-9f10-163e264550ad.jpg
  • "Most Stylish Men Of The Week - Robert Pattinson's continuing reign as menswear king of Cannes..."
  • "Why is Pattinson the current king of Cannes? His casual game is just as good as his black tie one, as excellently exemplified here in Dior."
  • "Most Stylish Men Of Cannes - From the red carpet return of Ryan Gosling to Robert Pattinson dressing like a true leading man, we bring you all the menswear moves that mattered at this year's Cannes Film Festival..."
  • "Our best ‘black tie’ in show: this black tux/navy shirt combination (courtesy of Dior Homme) is a superb curveball that just works."
  • "However he’s not just a master of out-of-the-box black tie, Pattinson can also do the classics. The whole look, again from Dior Homme, is spot-on from the self-tied bow to the tan to the patent lace-ups. Pearce is giving him a run for his money when it comes to best black tie though..."
  • "In the summer a colourful, unlined blazer is every man’s friend in the summer: not only will it keep you warm if it gets chilly, but it will also add a burst of brightness to any outfit after sundown - especially if you go for green like this Marni iteration."
LONG LIVE THE KING! LONG MAY HE REIGN!

Robert Pattinson tells us his favorite James Bond moment: "He is the coolest Bond."

Photobucket To celebrate the upcoming Bond film, Skyfall, British GQ asked some stars about their favorite James Bond moment. Robert Pattinson was among the stars. :)
When his wife dies in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. I think it’s the best film. No one ever gives George Lazenby any credit – I thought he was great. It’s kind of cool that he only did one. No one acknowledges that he is the coolest Bond.

David Cronenberg Tells GQ UK About The Secret To Filming A Sex Scene, Robert Pattinson Fans & Lots More

I don't know about you but I've gotten to love David Cronenberg more & more after reading/seeing all the interviews with him and getting to know him and his sense of humour throughout the "Cosmopolis" promo.

Here he talks to GQ UK about the secret to filming a sex scene, Robert Pattinson fans, the best pick up lines & lots more!

Photobucket

His room in London's Corinthia hotel is as quiet as the hermetically sealed limousine in which Robert Pattinson travels through New York's riot-torn streets. David Cronenberg, the 69-year-old Canadian director and undisputed master of "body horror", AKA the man who taught Keira Knightley to love spanking (Kate: O.O) and turned Jeff Goldblum into a "Brundlefly", has the manner of kindly professor. Whether discussing his new big-screen Don DeLillo adaptation or his thoughts on the insane levels of Twilight fan adoration, he treats every question with a detached wry amusement.(Kate: Gotta love him!) To mark his new film Cosmopolis arriving in cinemas, Cronenberg sat down with GQ.com to talk about some very uncomfortable topics…

GQ.com: Over the years you've appeared in London as everything from a tabloid sensation to a red carpet celebrity. What was your earliest memory of the city?
David Cronenberg: The city has been a constant in my life really since the mid Sixties. I saw the Rolling Stones at the London Palladium in 1965, as well as the Unit 4 + 2 and the Moody Blues. The Stones were fantastic - "Satisfaction" was their big hit at the time and it was great when they started to unleash it on the fans. It was funny being in Portugal with Rob because we had a red carpet that went on for about a solid kilometre straight, lined by literally a thousand girls screaming. It reminded me of the Stones in London.

Within moments of meeting Robert Pattinson, GQ.com learns a valuable lesson: you simply can't compete with Twilight fans. Having previously expressed his admiration for Martin Amis in an interview, it was decided we should present everyone's favourite server-crashing undead heartthrob with a copy of the new Amis novel Lionel Asbo. Sadly one literary-minded Edward Cullen devotee has trumped our gift. "I got given a first-edition signed copy of Money by a Twilight fan in Germany yesterday," reveals Pattinson. "She was trying to tell me that she found it in Massachusetts while we were surrounded by all these people screaming."

Pattinson stars in David Cronenberg's striking and strange new film Cosmopolis, out this week, which sees him as an otherworldly billionaire sating his carnal, financial and intellectual desires riding through town in the back of a limousine in search of a haircut. After some preliminaries (when presented with the latest edition of GQ he cries out "Andrew's wearing my suit!"), he talks about his hip-hop moment of glory, the worst haircut he's ever had and what he's learned from working with Frida Giannini at Gucci…

Your character has two lifts in his huge apartment, one of which is soundtracked by hip-hop. Which rapper would you have in your lift?
Robert Pattinson: Definitely Ol' Dirty Bastard. The biopic looks amazing! That guy Michael K Williams as well - I was obsessed with The Wire for ages. The guy who is directing - JoaquĂn Baca-Asay, who is James Gray's director of photography - is amazing. All his movies look incredible.

How did you feel when Tinie Tempah shouted you out on Chase & Status' "Hitz"?
What? [delighted, bewildered] I haven't heard it. I keep hearing everyone talking about him but for some reason I never really got into British rap. I don't know why.

The line is "Like Rob Pattinson I make a lot of n****s jealous"
Wow. That's really cool, actually. That's amazing. I didn't realise I had that relevance [laughs]. I wonder what made him single me out?

We asked our Twitter followers to pose questions for you. One account "Robearhottinson" asked 48 alone...
Not your typical GQ reader, I'd guess…

But she did ask about your worst haircut…
I did this movie about Salvador Dali a few years ago and had hair extensions and a little bob. That was incredibly bizarre. The extensions were temporary as well. I was trying to swim to somehow get in shape two days before we started shooting in this apartment complex in Barcelona. There were all these children everywhere… and I was this weird, pasty, hungover person with a girl's black bob, swimming in the pool with huge clumps of hair falling out. I had my whole body totally waxed as well because Dali didn't haven't any body hair. It was the most terrifying thing - this is terrible, but I saw the potential cannibal guy [Luka Magnotta] in the Sun today and I looked a bit like him.

Are sex scenes getting easier?
It's always a big thing. Juliette Binoche is one of my favourite actresses and within five minutes of meeting her on this we were pretending to have sex. Which wasn't in the script. With both sex scenes we were supposed to have finished sex before we did the scene. Both times David was just like, "Yeah, just have sex." That was a little awkward. I thought that Patricia McKenzie, who I did the other sex scene with, despised me up until that day on the set. We hadn't said a single word to each other apart from when I asked, "Where are you from?" and she literally looked me up and down. I was like, "I'm not trying to do anything - I don't have any idea!" Then on day of the sex scene she was like, "Hey how's it going?" I don't know what kind of preparation that was for this scene… but it definitely did something.

What TV do you never miss?
In America there is a channel called TruTV which is just reruns of Cops and World's Dumbest Criminals. I could watch that the entire day. Someone told me - I don't know if it's true - that David Simon watched tonnes of Cops to get the dialogue for The Wire. I was like, "I knew it…"

What has working with Frida and her team at Gucci taught you about tailoring?
That's funny, I've never had her singled out before - it's like it's a secret! She taught me one thing - you should definitely have good contacts at Gucci. They're absolutely amazing. The amount of times I've been stuck in some random city and have called her up and had things brought in at absolutely the last minute - it's crazy. But also all this stuff is custom-made. You can do quite crazy things [with colour] if you have incredibly classic, really well-made suits. I guess I've been quite boring for a while. I used to be more interesting with them. Now I always just request things two days before: "Can you send 25 suits?" I don't even know what I want to wear!

What's the strangest gift you've got from a fan?
It's funny: there are certain things that get picked up on really quickly. I quit smoking the other day and didn't even really realise that I'd said anything about it. I've been chewing these f***ing toothpicks all the time. Someone noticed in Cannes and literally the next day in Lisbon, then in Paris and in Berlin there were about 20 people on the red carpet giving me huge amounts of toothpicks. Thousands of them. I don't even remember saying it in an interview but I must have said it somewhere. That was kind of strange. (Kate: As if we wouldn't notice the toothpicks! LOL)

You are one of four individuals who consistently dominate internet discussion. Out of your rivals - Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga - who are you most fond of?
I really like Nicki Minaj. I think she's great. My favourite song? She's amazing in "Monster" with Kanye West. It's annoying that I'm part of this internet thing though - they all have Twitters and an online presence. How did I get part of this group? I didn't do anything. I'm trying to avoid it!

Cosmopolis is out 15 June.

Robert Pattinson 1: Gordon Brown 0

Rob won out on the best dressed list according to the British Edition GQ Magazine, leaving poor Gordon Brown top of the worst dressed! Can I just say I think it's AWESOME that Take That came in second on the best dressed (mini squeeee from my teenage years) and Russell Brand came in second on the worst dressed list.

It's not the suits, it seems, but the success of the men wearing them that counts

Take a dark suit, a crisp white shirt and a snazzy tie; it might be a recipe for sartorial success for a Hollywood heartthrob, but it's a fashion disaster when worn by Britain's Prime Minister.

Or so says GQ, the men's magazine whose staff choose the best- and worst-dressed men of the year. One man in a suit – Gordon Brown – was voted the worst-dressed while another – actor Robert Pattinson – was voted best-dressed.

The evidence suggests it is not just the suit that makes the fashion icon but the success of the man inside it: while last year was an unparalleled success for Pattinson, 23, who won hearts with his lead role in the vampire blockbuster Twilight films, it has been less glittering for Britain's embattled premier.

Now, his fashion credentials have slumped too, sinking from last year's third worst-dressed to being first in this year's rankings. GQ staff deemed Mr Brown's fashion sense as "anything but a prime example of British style".

James Sherwood, a men's fashion writer and author of The London Cut: Savile Row Bespoke Tailoring, said the styles of Gordon Brown and Robert Pattinson can't be judged on a level playing field.

"The former is a rather dour, middle-aged prime minister, dressing for his political survival in unassuming made-to-measure suits.

"The latter is the hot new Hollywood poster boy, dressing to dazzle teenage girls on the world's red carpets in suits most probably chosen by a fleet of stylists," he said. "It would go against every fibre in Brown's body to be identified as well-dressed."

The Conde Nast magazine gave a high vote to the Conservative party leader, David Cameron, who came eighth in the list of best dressers.

Professor Iain Webb, fashion writer and academic at Central St Martins, said Mr Cameron's PR background may inform his slick dressing.

"It's probably a case of Cameron wanting to present a total package which gets him on to best dressed lists in magazines like GQ," he said. Mr Brown was not the only politician to suffer indignity. He was joined by the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, in third place, the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Il, in eighth, and the London Mayor, Boris Johnson, who was likened to "Charlie Chaplin ... with a touch of Laurel and Hardy, more Hardy than Laurel", in fourth.

The best...1. Robert Pattinson 2. Take That 3. Alex Turner 4. Fantastic Mr Fox 5. Tom Ford... and the worst 1. Gordon Brown 2. Russell Brand 3. Nicolas Sarkozy 4. Boris Johnson 5. The Top Gear Team
