People Magazine updated their article to include the following, pretty direct, comment about Dylan Penn:
"They've been dating a month or two," a Pattinson source confirms to PEOPLE. "He's crazy about her."
 photo ScreenShot2013-09-26at24818PM.png

We have a new addition to our Robert Pattinson Music Club! Can he do another iTunes playlist, please??

Rob's been the boyfriend about 10 different women (slight exaggeration) this week according to the latest gossip mills and the week's not even out! Can he be linked to any of us? Make our fantasies complete? ;) People Magazine managed to get a report about a show Rob attended at the Viper Room and a new pic from that show also popped up. He's chatting it up and looking good in a white tee...like always.

 photo LARobertPattinsonViperRoom.jpg

Has Robert Pattinson found a new leading lady? Four months after splitting up with on-again, off-again girlfriend Kristen Stewart, the 27-year-old actor has been linked to model Dylan Penn.
The 22-year-old blond beauty has quite the Hollywood pedigree: She's the daughter of Sean Penn and Robin Wright. According to media reports, Pattinson and Penn were spotted on Sept. 7 catching a show by rapper Mickey Avalon at the famed Viper Room in Los Angeles.
They then reportedly hightailed it to the Chateau Marmont for post-show drinks and bites. Speculation has been swirling about whom Pattinson would date next following his split with Stewart. He was also recently seen with trainer Sydney Liebes outside Harley Pasternak's gym, where she works. But a source shoots down any insinuation that the two are an item, telling PEOPLE that "Pattinson has trained with Liebes a few times in Harley's absence and that’s it."
In May, Pattinson and Stewart, 23, called it quits after more than three years of dating, their relationship having weathered intense strain and scrutiny following her fling with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. The two had attempted to patch things up following her cheating scandal, attending Coachella and celebrating her 23rd birthday together before ultimately calling things off. On May 21, Pattinson was seen moving his belongings out of Stewart's Los Angeles home.

Robert Pattinson wants to open a pub in London? Grab your salt shaker!

Robert Pattinson wants to open a pub in London? Grab your salt shaker!

Craaaaaazy story but we can't ignore the flurry of direct quotes OMGYahooUK. Plus remember THIS post about Rob supposedly interested in opening a bar/restaurant in NYC? Could Rob be sneaking around dropping hints at random? From OMG Yahoo:

Photobucket Robert Pattinson is known to be quite fond of hanging out in pubs, particularly in London. And now the Twilight star, who rung in the New Year in an inn with on/off girlfriend Kristen Stewart has apparently got his heart set on buying his own drinking establishment in the capital.
He exclusively told Yahoo! omg!: "I would love to own a pub in London at some point." Imagine that - Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as the new Alfie and Kat (that was) of The Queen Vic. RPattz, who was spotted over Christmas having a pint in a London pub, is pretty particular about the type of drinking joint he'd like to invest in, telling us he doesn't want anything fancy.
He said: "I wouldn’t want to buy a pub that was all trendy and done Gastro style food, I just want a real working men’s pub."
And he DEFINITELY wouldn't want it to be a showbiz hangout - so no chance of K-Stew and Taylor Lautner hanging out at the bar then. He said: "I probably wouldn’t even go public that I owned it; I wouldn’t want it to become the sort of place people went to spot celebrities. I just want it to be a real pub where men discuss the issues of the day."
By the sounds of things Mr Pattinson is pretty passionate about pubs in our country, telling us: "The UK is the home of pubs, and we need to make sure we protect them. Every time I am back home and see that a local pub has closed down it actually makes me sad. The local can be the focal point of the community, and if we lose them we lose one of the things that is greatest about Britain. Men putting the world to rights over a few pints puts the Great into Great Britain; we have to fight to keep that. "
HEAR, HEAR.

LAWD. What can you even make of this? Well....if it's remotely true, I think it would be a success because Rob is the great and powerful. If it's not true, thanks for your spin on ProudOfCountryRob, Yahoo!

VIDEOS: Sweety high and Rob's opening a bar? Bits and pieces from the Breaking Dawn Part 2 LA Premiere

Rob pops up towards the end and he only says "sweety high" but I like him saying sweety. :)

Joe Anderson (Alistair) was talking about Rob opening something to play music in. Bar or restaurant....wait...

WHAT?? My mind is blown. However, we already know Rob has RenaissanceRob living inside him so opening up a bar/restaurant/whatever is totally possible for the man who can do anything...at least in our world. ;)

Can you imagine?? All the women flocking to this place in hopes the owner is in that night and giving out free hugs to patrons. HA! This will be so interesting if it pans out to be true.

New/Old translated interviews with Robert Pattinson (Tu, Star Club & Cannes)

New/Old translated interviews with Robert Pattinson (Tu, Star Club & Cannes)

We got 3 translated interviews for you guys and you know how those go so rub your temples and enjoy :)

UPDATE: Adding another translated interview, Star Club magazine (French)

SC: Hello Rob, what did you learn from your experience filming Twilight?

RP: I learned to put things into perspective, that the circus surrounding an actor's life is fleeting. You can be worshipped one day and hated the next. For now, the craze around Twilight is still there but I'm not naive, a few months after the last movie is out, people will have moved on. Our replacement is already here. I'm thinking mostly about The Hunger Games actors.

In the end, you're still happy to have played Edward, right?

Rob: Yes, he's an extension of myself, like a good friend. He helped me learn more about myself and I will be eternally grateful. I grew up though and if tomorrow Stephenie Meyer writes a sequel to Twilight, I'd gladly read it. I don't think people would like me reprising the role. I'd be too old to play him again.

What was your life like before your success?

Rob: I had a hard time finding roles. It's simple, for three years I found nothing but small productions that payed around $40 a day. Just between you and me, I was seconds away from giving up so when I was offered the role of Edward I couldn't believe it.

You didn't see yourself in the role of a vampire?

Rob: I didn't have a choice, I was broke! Nobody believed in me except for Catherine Hardwicke (editor's note: the director) who sort of had to force the producer's hands a little. In the end, this role helped me improve my everyday life and my life style. On the other hand, I lost what I cherished the most: my freedom. Some told me that it's the price for success. I'm sorry to disagree but I feel like it's a price too high to pay.

So did you view the end of the filming as freeing?

Rob: It's strange, I felt like releasing a big 'phew' of relief but at the same time I felt sad. For now, I know that I'm successful. Will it last? I have no idea, but if tomorrow I encounter movie failures, I won't cry about it.

Let's go back to your teenage years. I'd like to know in what kind of state of mind you were the day before the start of a new school year...

Rob: If you're looking for the speech of a the kid who was at the top of the class, you're not gonna get that from me. I wasn't a bad student either. When I was fifteen, I was a boy who was disciplined, who would learn all his lessons and pay attention in class until the day I started reading. I thought I learned more from life by reading than at school. I'm pretty please by the way that I indirectly influenced young people to take pleasure in reading. Indeed Twilight helped a whole generation to love reading about a love story as captivating as it was fascinating.

The big question! If you were to become a dad tomorrow, would you prefer to have a girl or a boy first?

Rob: I think that I'd have a better understanding with a boy. Girls are hard to understand. The instruction manual that comes with them is 800 pages long and written in Chinese! And if you know how to read it, you realise that you're still missing 32 more chapters that are essential and you have to improvise. Whereas with a boy, it's easy. Sports, tv, a video game, a big bowl of ...., some Coke and he's happy *laughs*!

2 more interviews after the cut!

eOnline mentions Robert Pattinson taking a business meeting earlier this week

Photobucket

It's hard to tell how much salt we need lately with entertainment sites we regularly posted before the you know but this excerpt from eOnline is positive news if true:
As for Robert Pattinson? He's working away. A source told E! News the 26-year-old Brit attended a business meeting Tuesday afternoon in Beverly Hills. He's also on board for Cosmopolis promotion, beginning with an appearance on The Daily Show Monday. He's also scheduled to do Good Morning America Wednesday morning.
Mission: Blacklist should be on the horizon so I wonder if it was a meeting for that film or possibly a new one. Love hearing about WorkingManRob.

Robert Pattinson's next project named and stars Scarlett Johansson and Philip Seymour Hoffman?

Robert Pattinson's next project named and stars Scarlett Johansson and Philip Seymour Hoffman?

UPDATE: Original source was reporter, Sharon Waxman, from The Wrap (via) who is in Cannes. Hopefully more unfolds soon. Soon as in now. :)

Photobucket

Excerpt from Yahoo, reporting on the Cannes Film Festival events and Lawless premiere:
[Michael] Benaroya, who co-produced “Margin Call” last year, is fully financing “Kill Your Darlings,” a $4 million thriller with Daniel Radcliffe and Michael C. Hall about young beat poets Allen Ginsburg and Jack Kerouac and a murder.

And he's also financing the $11 million “Hate Mail,” with Scarlett Johansson, Robert Pattinson and Philip Seymour Hall Hoffman. And he executive produced “The Paperboy,” also screening in competition in Cannes.

That's a lot of money to be throwing down. Benaroya, apart from noting that he's only lost money on one movie he's made thus far, said he likes to gamble.

“I'm a serious poker player," he said. "People like to underestimate me: ‘You look 25. You look like a nice guy. I'm gonna take you for everything you've got.' They're often surprised when they don't.”
The always reliable (that was sarcastic) IMDb says the film is slated to film this Spring (isn't Spring over in a month) and the summary is:
A Manhattan-set story centered around people who receive hate mail and the subsequent effects on their relationships.
Benaroya is a producer for Lawless which had its premiere at Cannes today (yesterday on French time). I don't know anything else.....it drives me crazy! This is very fresh...don't go getting tattoos to support the project just yet.

Is Robert Pattinson working with David Cronenberg again?

Is Robert Pattinson working with David Cronenberg again?

Photobucket

Time for a round of "Things that make you go 'hmmmmmm'".

We talked about Child 44 on the blog and that seemed to come and go. There's another rumor circulating that we can keep an eye on. I received info from this site in the past so *shrug* maybe they're on to something. Hopefully press asks David or Rob about the validity when they gear up for Cosmopolis promo. Shoot, hopefully press asks Rob anything about what he's doing next (or has been doing career-wise) and doesn't let him deflect. ;)

Photobucket

From The Tracking Board:
The ubiquitous “Twilight” star is doing everything he can to not be described as “‘Twilight’ star Pattinson”, and if it takes attaching himself to every upcoming David Cronenberg project to do so, by God he will follow through.

Pattinson has just become attached as a supporting actor in director Cronenberg’s upcoming darkly comedic drama, MAPS TO THE STARS. The pic, to which Viggo Mortensen is already attached, details the story of two child actors ruined by Hollywood’s depravity. Pattinson is said to play Jerome, a chauffeur by day and struggling actor by night. Scribe Bruce Wagner, who was originally set to direct until Cronenberg took the reigns in 2006, penned the script.

This news comes just before the May release of the anticipated Cronenberg project starring Pattinson, “Cosmopolis”, based on the Don DeLillo novel of the same name. Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a young billionaire who attempts to visit his father’s barber across Manhattan but is thwarted by a series of unlikely events.

“Maps to the Stars” will also be Mortensen’s fourth project with Cronenberg, having first worked together when he took the lead in “A History of Violence”.

Pattinson is currently in active development on “Unbound Captives”, a period drama that will also star Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz.
Now don't go betting the farm over this. Cronenberg is reportedly working on another project (TV) and Unbound Captives (active development?) seems to be at a standstill. We'll keep a watch and you guys can talk about how you feel possibly seeing Rob in "darkly comedic drama". Isn't that a contradiction?

Photobucket

Since I support anything Rob does, I'd be into it. He just needs to tell us so I know what I'm supporting next. :)

Thanks Sky for the tip!

Edward Cullan was at Soho House in Los Angeles Last Night

A sighting popped up last night that was rather amusing.

A portrait of Edward Cullan...

Photobucket

That's so cool. Is he related to Edward Cullen? And even better....do they know Robert Pattinson?

Another sighting popped up on tumblr from a model who frequents Soho House

Do you think they saw Mr. Cullan?

Possible reason for sighting via Celebuzz: "New Moon director Chris Weitz held a screening for his critically acclaimed film A Better Life."

What were you doing New Years Eve, Robert Pattinson?

What were you doing New Years Eve, Robert Pattinson?

There were a few rumblings on twitter about Rob's New Years Eve:

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Let's talk about what we all really want to know...

Was Rob at the same place as Zack Morris or Mr. Belding? I MUST know. There's a big difference there. ;)

These tweets seemed to support Hollywood Lies early claim that Rob would be celebrating NYE with Kristen at Palihouse. The tweeters mentioned this location earlier in their evening. Naturally, Hollywood Lies backtracked on their original report idiocy and discredited their discreditable selves by reporting lying today that Rob and Kristen were not at Palihouse and actually at a friends house to ring in the new year. An "exclusive" source liar told them so.

Ha ha HA!

Photobucket

I want to call them Hollywood Fools now.

Wherever Rob really was, we hope he was surrounded by love and happiness.

And a swing band!

Photobucket

Hope you guys had a great New Years and sorry it wasn't filled with a sparkling Rob. The man really does glow. Or maybe those sparkling lights are just the stars in my eyes when I see him.

Updated: Robert Pattinson Is NOT Recording An Album (Right Now)

UPDATED AGAIN

MTV News reached out to Pattinson's rep, who told us, "The report is untrue. He is not working on an album right now." (Kate: The RIGHT NOW bit is what I'm hearing, keep the faith people!)

Of course, that is not to say Pattinson might not record music someday — he has previously recorded "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign" for the original "Twilight" soundtrack — but it's not happening now.

When we caught up with "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon at Comic-Con, he confirmed that there would be some familiar musical themes weaved into the fourth film, courtesy of composer Carter Burwell, who scored the first movie. And while the director would not confirm Pattinson's inclusion on the soundtrack, he hinted that some of the musically inclined castmembers might lend their talents.

UPDATED

Gossip Cop spoke to an impeccable Pattinson insider who told them, “He is not.”
Check out their full article HERE

I still want to believe it's happening. If I will it, it will happen, right? ;-}

WHAT?

Photobucket

Photobucket

Oh hang on a minute
It's A US Weekly EXCLUSIVE

I need some of this.......A LOT of it

Photobucket

OK there's your warning.

Now read away

From USWeekly
Robert Pattinson, rock star?

The British actor, 25, is prepping to record an album imminently, two sources tell Us Weekly.

"Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it," one insider explains of the superstar, who recorded two songs, "Never Think" (which he co-wrote with pal Sam Bradley) and "Let Me Sign" for the original Twilight soundtrack.

"Now he's got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting Breaking Dawn."

But don't expect a chart-topping album (Kate: Wanna bet?) with broad mass appeal and a string of top 40 hits. "The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop," explains a second source of the indie-music fan, "Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison."

Pattinson frequently had hotel room jam sessions with other Twilight pals while shooting the flicks in Vancouver and elsewhere. His Twilight costar (and fellow musician) Jackson Rathbone said Kristen Stewart's man "loves to play the blues. He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time. Very humble and quiet guy.

"Music is his first love!" says the second source. (Kate: Who knew? Oh wait we all did, carry on....) "He's tortured because he avoids it. When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favorite moment of life."

To prep for the recording session, the guitar player has been "studying on on other instruments -- like piano and horns," the first source reveals. "It's an obsession for him."

I know it's USweekly but I SO want this to be true I really, really want this to happen. I want him to record his music. I know all of you feel the same. Just imagine it!!

We would all be doing this ................

Photobucket

Thanks to PattinsonStew for the tip!

Robert Pattinson: Believe it or Not

Robert Pattinson: Believe it or Not

Here we go again...

Photobucket

Gossip sites and tweets get really...creative...during droughts and trying to weed through them can make you curl up and cry. Without a picture, you can never be certain Rob was doing this or that or the other. Sometimes you get a credible source talking like Norman's but even that, you can't be 100% sure.

Rob: I'm Frank Abagnale.
Photobucket

So why am I posting now? One reason. Food. Food + Rob = I wanna post. But we'll get to that in a moment. You can't have the goodies without first being subjected to the current rumor mill that made my brain hurt.

Photobucket

First up was Rob being a musical Mother Teresa. You guys loved this up in the comments and now here it is for your continued pleasure. From The Sun:
The warm-hearted Twilight star had spotted the down-and-out's tatty acoustic as he put money in a collection tin.

Minutes later R-Patz, 25, who plays cold-blooded Edward Cullen, emerged from a music store with an electric guitar for himself and the red acoustic for the man.

The British actor's generosity was witnessed in Los Angeles by holidaymakers Luke Jones and girlfriend Kirsty Rowlands, 22.

Builder Luke, 24, of Bridgend, South Wales, said: "We were gobsmacked when he handed the acoustic guitar to the tramp.

"Robert quickly went back to his car and drove off.

"The busker was totally shell-shocked. He had no idea who Robert was – I think he thought the guitar was stolen.

"He was looking left and right, half expecting the police to arrest him. We asked him to play but he couldn't get his thoughts together."

R-Patz, worth around £32million, plays piano and guitar.

Sounds like something Rob would do but *shrugs* who knows if it's true. Guess I need to go track down a homeless person in LA with a shiny new guitar and interview him, right? But let's check out the next rumor first...

Photobucket

Rob must live at Soho House. If all the sightings are true, he's well protected there. He can get in and out without pictures. This rumor has conflicting reports but considering one report is coming from the lying, defaming, stealing Hollywood Life Lies, I'm not surprised they could have gotten it wrong. They have certificates galore in "getting it wrong". From Hollywood Life Lies:
  • Rob was at Soho West Hollywood Sept. 1st
  • Rob looked very happy
  • Rob was with Sam and his sister Lizzy (although they posted a pic of Victoria)
  • Rob was dressed in unbuttoned plaid short sleeve shirt with a black tee underneath
  • Rob wore a hat
  • Rob had a beard
  • They went unnoticed (umm...no they didn't...clearly lol) and were having a deep conversation
  • They sat by a window
  • Rob had pizza and clear liquid
  • Rob went to the bathroom, washed his hands and gave the bathroom attendant a guitar
Ok I added the last part because it fits with the rest of the "reports". Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Rob was also at Soho House. This time in New York City on Sept 2nd. "NEW YORK CITY?!! Get a rope." Compiled by Robstenation from twitter:
jimshi809 "Ugh. So jealous. Friend telling me how she ran into #rpatz and his sister at @sohohousenyc last night. "He was adorable," she added. #Twilight"

Laurasturn "Robert Pattinson can't even smile when he's hanging out with @hamishandandy...wow. The guy clearly has issues." (Tink: YOU HAVE ISSUES! *childish comeback*)

iniikim "Robert pattinson at The Smile." "it's a cafe/restaurant in NY and he was with a male friend." "it's a cafe/restaurant in NY."

Joie_Clothing "A source tells me I just missed Robert Pattinson at The Smile #fail"
There's further speculation as to why he could be in NYC (potential joint photoshoot with Kristen Stewart) but at this point, I think my eyes are bleeding. If it's a photoshoot, we'll know at some point. As for the rest, we'll likely never know and if Rob wanted us to know, he'd tell us (yeah right). Now on to the good stuff.

Food! I swear Rob is my Oprah. I love knowing what he's reading and what movies he digs and where he's eating and what he buys etc etc. I buy the book, watch the film, eat the food and think about guitar lessons. Robsessed, duh. So after all the saltiness in this post, the thing that sticks out for me is the restaurant he may or may not have gone to: The Smile.

Photobucket

It looks cool! I was just in New York City and would have loved to check it out. I know it's uncertain if he was really there but still looks pretty neat. Next time. ;) Times like these I wish Rob was on twitter or had a blog to just say something is Rob-approved. He's my Oprah.

The drought is going to last well into October so I'm sure we'll have another round of Believe it or Not. Until then, believe at your own risk...or not ;)

Robert Pattinson still starring in Unbound Captives?

Robert Pattinson still starring in Unbound Captives?

Photobucket

Before you read the article, I want you to know I am HIGHLY skeptical about it. I didn't want to post it but the news is spreading and you should know what's being discussed.

There is no direct quote from Madeleine Stowe that says Rob is still attached to the project. It is the reporter who makes the statement. If the reporter did a google search on Unbound Captives, who would she find is attached? Rob, Hugh, and Rachel. That's what I think happened and until there is a direct quote from Stowe or Rob or the like, I don't think this is happening for Rob. Until the news is coming from a credible industry source, I don't think this is happening for Rob.

That said, read it and see what you think on the matter. ;)

Excerpt from MySanAntonio (Aug. 9, 2011):

Until recently, The Last of the Mohicans star [Stowe] and her actor-husband, Brian Benben (Private Practice), owned a cattle ranch in the Texas Hill Country, 11 miles outside Fredericksburg. They and daughter May, who was born in San Antonio's Methodist Hospital, lived there for many years. Stowe said she had enjoyed being away from the bustle of Hollywood and throwing herself into riding, roping and cutting. However, out of practicality, they moved to Los Angeles a couple of years ago.

While at the ranch, Stowe came up with the idea to write "a large romantic Western" that was inspired, she said, by stories of the Hill Country in the late 1800s. "I heard about children who were abducted by Comanche Indians and became so acculturated that they had a hard time returning.

"Our ranch had a real history," she added. "When I lived there, I felt a certain way about Texas that I hadn't seen filmed yet."

She'll start directing The Unbound Captives next year, she said, and already has rounded up the main cast: Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson.
We'll have to wait and see...

RUMOUR: Robert Pattinson To Attend 'BAFTA Brits to Watch' Bash ?

According to the Daily Star Newspaper Robert Pattinson is one of the UK actors that is set to attend the 'BAFTA Brits to Watch' charity bash on Saturday 9th July.

(Keep in mind that this is not the most reliable newspaper but if/when there is confirmation or more news about this we will let you know)

In the meantime keep everything crossed because we want to see Rob strut his stuff right?

Photobucket

From the Daily Star

ROYAL megastars Wills and Kate are all set to take Hollywood by storm.

The newly-weds are heading to Tinseltown and a glittering £16,000-a-table ball for the film industry’s movers and shakers.

And they will also be giving young Brit stars a helping hand.

More than 40 of the country’s hottest talents will be their guests at the bash.

The Brits To Watch black tie charity evening is being hosted by Bafta, who have Prince William as patron.

Major movie studios like Fox, Warner Brothers, Universal and Disney have scrambled for tables at the event.

The list of young talent invited is believed to include Emily Blunt, Max Irons, Lily Cole and Hayley Atwell.

Other more established UK movie actors like Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, Atonement star James McAvoy and Harry Potter leading lady Emma Watson are also set to attend.

Thanks To Aimee for the tip!

From the BAFTA's press release

The forty two emerging Brits have been selected by an expert BAFTA panel based on a number of criteria. They will generally not be complete beginners in their industry, and will have already begun to show real promise. BAFTA will announce the names of those attending prior to the event.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart spotted out and about last night

Robert Pattinson was rumored to be out and about in the valley (Los Angeles) last night.

Photobucket

We know how tweets can be but here's another one that backs up the valley sighting:

Photobucket

That would be KristEn Stewart and vampire dude would be Rob. You think he'll be elephant dude in April?

AKMFOREVER goes on in his twitter feed to say he spotted the pair in a grocery store in Sherman Oaks (the valley) with a bodyguard.

Wonder what they bought. Water perhaps? So they aren't dehydrated like us?? Take it with a grain of salt or let your imagination run wild. Dehydration allows us to be delusional and any ideas you come up with for the grocery list, I approve.

Robert Pattinson Eyeing Up A Shocking Role?

Robert Pattinson Eyeing Up A Shocking Role?

Or so UK's "The Sun" Newspaper tells us so do I need to tell you there's a grain of salt warning with this one. He did say in an interview last year that he had read this book but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Photobucket

From The Sun
ROBERT PATTINSON's army of fans are in for the shock of their lives if he lands the X-rated part he craves.

The lusted-after lad is lobbying for a leading role which will see him Hoover up more drugs than PETE DOHERTY and AMY WINEHOUSE combined, sleep with scores of prostitutes and get away with a blood-curdling murder. (Kate: Oh and emm I think he's done the sleeping with prostitutes bit already, hello "Bel Ami" so that's not exactly gonna shock us!)

The Twilight heart-throb would be playing sinful record label A&R man Steven Stelfox in the big-screen adaptation of gruesome music industry satire Kill Your Friends.
Bag

The novel - one of my favourites of recent years - centres on Steven, who's like the British version of Patrick Bateman - the character played by CHRISTIAN BALE in American Psycho.

Written by former major label A&R man and fellow Scot JOHN NIVEN, it is set in the mid-Nineties and, like Trainspotting, leaves nothing to the imagination.

Music-mad R-Patz reckons it is just the job for him.

A source said: "Rob is a huge fan of the novel.

"He is fascinated by the music industry and is keen to get involved in the project.

"He's already approached producers telling them he wants to play the leading man.

"If he gets the role it would be the darkest part he's ever played.

"It's an incredibly adult character and is bound to shock the tweens who account for such a huge part of Rob's fan base."

The flick is already gaining momentum with serious film investors looking at it.

Drum 'n' bass legend GOLDIE - who is viciously parodied in the novel - has also requested a role.

However, Rob's bid is not helped by author John.

He has confessed to not knowing who R-Patz is, saying: "I'm not a teenage virgin, so how would I know who he was?"

Hopefully you will soon, John.
Thanks to Kim for the tip!
