Robert Pattinson's Queen of the Desert, Life and Maps To The Stars are expected for fall festivals!

Robert Pattinson's Queen of the Desert, Life and Maps To The Stars are expected for fall festivals!

 photo RobDaneHQ.jpg

The Toronto International Film Festival (Sept. 4-14) line up will be announced on July 22nd and the  Venice Film Festival (Aug. 27-Sept. 6) line up will be announced on July 24th.

Rob's next 3 films are rumored and expected to show up at one of these fall fests.

Maps To The Stars going to TIFF seems like a foregone conclusion at this point. It's expected to have its North American premiere there and then released later in the fall.

Queen of the Desert producers have been dropping teases. Nick Raslan called QOTD "a true epic" and Cassian Elwes called the film a total winner and said they'd get distribution at the fall festivals. The Playlist added Telluride and NYFF to the mix for QOTD possibilities too. Elwes is hoping for US release this year and Raslan also shared a still from the film.

Life is the last Rob film to be a part of the fall fest rumors and it's the one I'm looking forward to the most. One guess why....

Anton Corbijn revealed that Philip Seymour Hoffman was planning on being in Life before his passing. The Playlist speculates that he could have played Dennis Stock's editor (now played by Joel Edgerton) or Jack Warner (played by Ben Kinglsey).

The Playlist also suggested that "Life is expected to be among the announcements for TIFF and Venice when they arrive next week". This would definitely be a pleasant surprise if it turns out to be true. VERY pleasant.

As for Rob's fall filming schedule, it looks like we'll see him film Idol's Eye and The Childhood of a Leader. TCOAL's time frame jumps around between September and November and IE jumps between October and November. We'll see how they shape up the closer we get since schedules on indies change frequently. The Lost City of Z was last scheduled for January 2015 but there seems to be a conflict with Benedict Cumberbatch's schedule (he's slated to now be working on Sherlock) so like the others, we just have to wait and see.

That's all that the updates on Rob's film slate for now. We'll keep you posted next week when the lineups are announced for the film festivals!

Robert Pattinson & Johnny Flynn Working Together? Yes Please!

Robert Pattinson & Johnny Flynn Working Together? Yes Please!

Johnny Flynn was interviewed by Epigram and mentioned possibly doing a project with Robert Pattinson! What kind of a project he doesn't actually say but it would be great to see these 2 working together!

 photo Pleeease.gif

Here's an extract from the interview:
Of course, music is just one side of Johnny Flynn’s coin. Besides his umpteen triumphs on the stage, Flynn’s film career is steadily gaining momentum; next year he’ll appear onscreen with Anne Hathaway in the musical Song One. When I ask if this is the beginning of him being led astray to Hollywood, he’s amused but quick to clarify his ambitions. ‘I’m not that fussed about being what you might call a “Hollywood” actor. I’m much more interested in doing indie films or theatre projects… I don’t have any desire for the fame or the money.’ This answers my next question before I can ask it; how come he hasn’t collaborated with his close friend Robert Pattinson? Why no cameo in Twilight? Flynn laughs. “We talked about doing a project together, that’s maybe still in the works.”
So there you go! I guess this is another wait and see, right?

August US Release Date For Robert Pattinson's "Cosmopolis"?

The Playlist talk about a possible August US Release Date For Robert Pattinson's "Cosmopolis"

How great would it be if this were true?
We'll update as soon as any more info comes in

Check out the article below

EOne has set a June 8th bow north of the border and a June 15th debut in the U.K. for the film. Based on the book by Don DeLillo, the film centers on Eric Packer (Pattinson), a 28 year-old finance golden boy dreaming of living in a civilization ahead of this one, who watches a dark shadow cast over the firmament of the Wall Street galaxy, of which he is the uncontested king.

An impressive supporting cast is around Pattinson with Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, Sarah Gadon, Jay Baruchel and Kevin Durand helping to round things out. The first word from Cannes won't drop for a while as "Cosmopolis" won't be screening until Friday, May 25th but for Cronenberg and Pattinson fans, the wait won't be too long until it lands in theaters near you. No word yet on the U.S. date (though we have heard August), but we'll keep you posted.

Robert Pattinson Heading To The Round Table For “Pendragon”?

If this is true it would be amazing!
King Rob

According to tracking-board.com:

Robert Pattinson has been offered one of the lead roles in the new King Arthur retelling PENDRAGON, filling in one of the spots left open after Eric Bana and Michael Fassbender dropped out of the production. Project is a reimagining of the founding of Camelot by King Arthur, with Pattinson up for the role of the fabled king. Pattinson’s potential casting projects a different light on the project, signaling a possible change in tone for the production than when Bana and Fassbender were considered for the leads.

Sylvain White is directing from a script by Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy, with Michael Connolly producing.

Also movieinsider.com has Rob listed for this since March 2010.
It does say "rumoured" after Rob's name so for now take a pinch out of this..............

If and when there's anymore news on this we will be sure to let you know!

From the Daily Star

ROYAL megastars Wills and Kate are all set to take Hollywood by storm.

The newly-weds are heading to Tinseltown and a glittering £16,000-a-table ball for the film industry’s movers and shakers.

And they will also be giving young Brit stars a helping hand.

More than 40 of the country’s hottest talents will be their guests at the bash.

The Brits To Watch black tie charity evening is being hosted by Bafta, who have Prince William as patron.

Major movie studios like Fox, Warner Brothers, Universal and Disney have scrambled for tables at the event.

The list of young talent invited is believed to include Emily Blunt, Max Irons, Lily Cole and Hayley Atwell.

Other more established UK movie actors like Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, Atonement star James McAvoy and Harry Potter leading lady Emma Watson are also set to attend.

Thanks To Aimee for the tip!

From the BAFTA's press release

The forty two emerging Brits have been selected by an expert BAFTA panel based on a number of criteria. They will generally not be complete beginners in their industry, and will have already begun to show real promise. BAFTA will announce the names of those attending prior to the event.

Robert Pattinson in London on November 11th? - UPDATED

Londoners! Take a deep breath! Your boy might be coming back :))

There was some confusion about the live.co.uk bit but I contacted Jenny from Bella And Edward and she tells me that Live is an events company. The in the name co.uk was a typo and we fixed it:) So it looks like the event is real!!! Are you ready Londoners? Your boy is coming back home!

From BellaAndEdward.com the fixed text, thank you Jenny!

UK fans, how would you like the chance to win tickets to the New Moon fan event taking place in London next month?

Picturehouse Cinemas, a chain of independent UK cinemas, is looking for one abassador from each of the following UK cities (Picturehouse cinema attached): London Brixton (Ritzy Cinema), Liverpool (Picturehouse at Fact), Henley (Regal Picturehouse), York (City Screen), Stratford-on-Avon (Stratford Picturehouse) and Greenwich (Greenwich Picturehouse).

More info I received:

I need to find one ambassador in each city who I will give a pair of tickets to in return for setting up a Facebook group promoting the vouchers which I have made for this offer. Provided they get 250 members on their group, I can guarentee them a pair of tickets to the Big Fan Event in Battersea Park, London, on November 11th at 6:30. This event will be a live concert with the three main cast of the Film (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner) and also the director Chris Weitz attending, along with bands from the Official soundtrack playing.

We will also judge the ambassadors on how many vouchers are redeemed for their cinema, and the person with the most redemptions will get an additional cash prize of £100.

Entrants can be any age, providing that they can get the 250 members onto their Facebook group.

The entrants must live within a reasonable distance of the Cinema which they are an Ambassador, so that they can easily endorse the cinema.

When applying, they need to email me at: newmooncomp@live.co.uk, and simply say their name, reason they want to be an ambassador and also how close they live to Cinema and how well they know the cinema.

So, to reiterate, if you want to apply to be an ambassador and win some tickets to the NM fan event, email Charlie at newmooncomp@live.co.uk.

Thanks to BarnesPEdward for the tip :))

UPDATE: E1 Entertainment also says they are in the process of organizing a fan event with the cast on November 11th. SO this information seems reliable. Thanks to Sassy28 for the info...
