This is from Rob's segment for ET Canada and he talks about auditioning for The Rover, which makes me laugh now since David Michôd said he was just putting Rob through the wringer. Rob also complimented David Cronenberg and more.

Oh Rob, you know what the kids say.

Robert Pattinson in A Movie About Public Sex? *GASP*

This is too good to be true :) The Daily Star claims Robert Pattinson once auditioned for a movie called (...wait for it... ) Dogging: A Love Story . The movie is about Public Sex in the UK and it comes out this week. Great timing for the story, congrats to Dogging's (*giggle*) marketing people.

God bless you Daily Star for giving me a good laugh today :)

HUNKY Robert Pattinson has a secret past – as a dogger.

The Twilight star once auditioned for the lead role in a British flick about public sex.

But amazingly the 23-year-old, nicknamed “RPattz”, was turned down for the job in the romantic comedy Dogging: A Love Story in favour of a rival hunk.

The London-born star pitched for the role before hitting the big time playing heart-throb vampire Edward Cullen in the American horror movie trilogy Twilight.

In the film, directed by Simon Ellis, Luke Treadaway, inset above, stars as a Newcastle-based journalist who casts aside his inhibitions to research the UK’s outdoor sex scene, only to fall in love with a girl he meets in a car park.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday last night, a source on the set of the film revealed: “It’s all a bit surreal, to be honest. RPattz is a massive Hollywood star both Stateside and over here.

“But two years ago he was still trying to make a name for himself back in the UK.

“He had a decent role in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire but apart from that he was still casting around for roles.

“It was not until he landed the role as Edward Cullen in Twilight that his career truly took off.

“To be honest getting turned down for the main role in Dogging: A Love Story is a bit of a running joke with Rob’s mates.

“They all think it’s hilarious that he can’t have been any good at dogging.

“Still, everything worked out in the end.”

The role of the dogging journalist went instead to acting rival Luke, who is also tipped for big things in Hollywood.

The 25-year-old will follow his starring role with an appearance in the blockbuster Clash Of The Titans alongside Liam Neeson next summer.

Dogging: A Love Story is released in cinemas across the UK on Christmas Day.
