MTV First With Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner Nov 3rd

MTV First With Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner Nov 3rd
More info below

Calling all "Twilight" fans! MTV has got a triple-layer treat for you in the form of exclusive interviews with your favorite three stars during our "MTV First: Breaking Dawn - Part 1."

On Thursday, November 3, at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV, we will premiere a never-before-seen clip from the hugely anticipated new film live on-air, to be introduced by megastars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Immediately following the introduction and premiere of the clip, Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner will be sticking around for a lengthy Q&A session with MTV News' Josh Horowitz — a chat that begins on air and continues on MTV.com. Who knows what will happen when the three stars actually get together in one room, because separately they've had some very intriguing things to say about one another. In recent conversations, RPattz has compared his sex scenes to "playing Twister," while KStew has revealed that Taylor began one of their fight scenes by confessing to his co-star, "You're so cute."

Fans can get in on the anything-might-happen conversation immediately by submitting video or text questions beginning Thursday (October 27) via MTV.com or via Twitter (using @MTVNews, plus the hashtags #AskTwilight and #MTVFirst).

Also launching today is our fan-voted poll of the Top Five Favorite "Twilight Saga" Moments thus far, including Edward and Bella's first kiss in "Twilight," the infamous Jacob abs-reveal in "New Moon," Edward and Jacob in the tent in "Eclipse," the fan-favorite "leg hitch" scene in "Eclipse" and Edward proposing to Bella in "Eclipse." Beginning on Monday, October 31, the clips will be revealed in order of popularity.

So mark your calendars and set your alarms to tune in to our "MTV First: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," which kicks off Thursday November 3 on MTV at 7:56 p.m.

Did Robert Pattinson Get To Keep Any Of The Clothes He Wore In WFE?

MTV asked "Water for Elephants" costume designer Jacqueline West.

From MTV
Have you ever wondered what becomes of all the amazing (and no doubt, costly) costumes after a movie finishes filming? (Kate: Not when Robert Pattinson around :-P)
Because that's ALL we could think about during "Water for Elephants." Seriously. The stunning gowns, the beaded circus wear, (Kate: They'd be safe enough, I don't think Rob would be interested in those) the boots worn by Robert Pattinson—what would happen to those things? Were they just going to be thrown in a trash can somewhere (and if so, WHERE IS THAT TRASH CAN)?

Luckily for us, "WFE" costume designer Jacqueline West stepped in before we descended into Dumpster-diving madness and provided some answers. The clothes, at least for "WFE," were not discarded (phew!). In fact, Jacqueline said that Reese and Rob actually kept some of the items.

"Reese, because we had multiples in most of hers, she kept the dresses, and I think one of each of her performance costumes," Jacqueline said, prompting us to wonder where Reese could possibly wear some of the circus outfits (Oscars red carpet?).

Of course, Rob didn't go home empty-handed either. (Kate: Does he ever?)

Jacqueline West Likes Robert Pattinson "Dirty"

Yes Jacqueline I have to agree I like him "durrrrrrrrrty" too.

Huh? What do you mean she doesn't mean that kind of dirty.

She told MTV that Robert Pattinson "really dirties up well" and that it's "great to see him dirty and sweaty and dusty"

Oh she means that type of dirty! Oh that's ok too, I'll take Rob dirty and sweaty and dusty ;-)

Read below for more of what she said.

From MTV

There's no denying Robert Pattinson has a certain something. Experts have tried to pinpoint the precise formula for his unique brand of awesome (unkempt hair + self-effacing personality = the man of our dreams?), but the magical recipe continues to allude. Being the benevolent blog that we are, we decided to aid the scientific community by asking someone who's got loads of personal insight—"Water for Elephants" costume designer Jacqueline West.

You see, Jacqueline gave Rob his favorite pair of 1930s underpants, and we figured, who better than the woman who dressed him (figuratively at least!) to give us some dish. Jacqueline spoke to us about Rob's cool style off set and how his physique was different than what she expected after seeing "Twilight."

"You know, he’s very casual. He wears jeans and hoodies and tennis shoes, but he has a really, really nice style," she said. "Everything is well selected, but he’s very casual. He is a jeans and T-shirt, sweatshirt kind of guy." In other words, totally our type (hear that Rob?).

Jacqueline also added that Rob cleans up "nicely" but that she prefers his "dirtied" up look in the flick. (Kate: So do we Jacqueline ;-})

"This movie, I used to tell friends, 'he really dirties up well.' We've all seen him...used to seeing him so scrubbed and clean in the 'Twilight' movies. It's great to see him dirty and sweaty and dusty and really in working clothes," she said (as if we needed another reason to go out and buy a ticket for the movie). "It was a nice transformation and it made him such a different person than the other films I've seen him in."

Speaking off those other films, Jacqueline said that she watched "Twilight" to get a sense of Rob's body shape but that it didn't really do justice to his physique.

"I didn't realize from the 'Twilight' movies how really manly he is. I didn't realize until I really met Rob in person how really manly I could make his wardrobe and that he would be able to wear it so well," she said. "I didn't know how big he is. He's really like a Gary Cooper or someone like that, he has incredible stature."

A manlier, dirtier Rob? Don't mind if we do.

Jacqueline West Talks About Robert Pattinson & His Love For His 1930's Underwear

Underwear & Robert Pattinson in the same sentance. Are they trying to kill us?

Photobucket

From a dapper black tux to grungy combat boots, Robert Pattinson dons plenty of handsome looks in the upcoming flick, "Water for Elephants." So, really, who would have guessed that his pièce de résistance on set was none other than 1930s-style underwear!

Yes, that’s right. Period underwear. Rob had to wear them to get in character for "WFE," and apparently he was a big fan, according to costume designer Jacqueline West.

"He loved that I had period underwear for him," she told Hollywood Crush recently (no doubt sparking the envy of girls EVERYWHERE). (Kate: Ah ya just a bit!!) "Yes, and he loved putting that on every morning before he put his costume on, (Kate: Tries to get image out of my mind. Nope not working) you know, he said that in his trailer, and he said it made him, it transported him to the '30s. He said he got out of bed feeling like a different person."

The underpants, along with his other period costumes, helped Rob step into the role of Jacob Jankowski, a vet student who joins the circus during the Great Depression after losing his parents, Jacqueline shared.

"I can see Rob, who is very languid, he’s very modern in his movements and he’s very cool. I could see him sort of kind of become Jacob and become a '30s young man, who was, you know, gonna work hard to carve an existence in this circus," she said.

Sorry, we're still stuck on her description of languid, modern and cool Rob. (Kate: I'm still stuck on him getting into his underpants ;-o)

Sigh. Okay, now moving on.

Jacqueline also added that Rob, who was "manlier" than she expected (more on that next week!), carried the clothes very well. (Kate: STOP IT! I can't take anymore.)

"He would wear clothes so beautifully and you would see kind of a transformation, you know. If he put on those World War I combat boots, his work boots, you can see him stand differently. And I could tell, Rob would say, 'Oh, this really feels right. This feels great.'"

As for whether or not Rob's undies make a cameo in the film, Jacqueline hasn't seen the final cut to know, so you're just gonna have to wait until the movie comes out on April 22 to find out! (Kate: Well I'm thinking why would you bother with 1930's undies if they're not gonna be seen, right? :-D)

'Water For Elephants' Trailer: Like 'Titanic,' But With Robert Pattinson And Reese Witherspoon

Really?
So says MTV Here's what they have to say:

Photobucket

The trailer for "Water for Elephants" has stampeded its way onto the Internet, giving movie fans a beautifully shot look at the adaptation of Sara Gruen's bestselling novel and its beautiful stars, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson.

The first thing that occurs to us watching this trailer is that it's a whole lot like "Titanic"... except that the events unfold amid a traveling circus rather than upon a giant ocean liner. Depression-era setting? Check! Love triangle with beautiful woman, overbearing older lover and baby-faced younger suitor? Check! Climactic disaster providing the backdrop for the resolution of all things? Big-time check!

I'm putting the rest of it after the cut because I think there's a little bit of a spoiler so if you want to stay a WFE virgin stop here ! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

MTV's 12 Favorite Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Commentary Quotes From "Eclipse"

So as tomorrow sees the release of "Eclipse" on DVD MTV's Hollywood Crush lists their favourite 12 Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart commentary quotes.
I wonder will they be your favourites too?

Photobucket

From Hollywood Crush

Can we all just agree that Robert Pattinson is one strange dude? (Kate:giggle) That doesn't mean we don't love him. He's just a weird guy—which is why we were so excited to hear the "Eclipse" DVD commentary he recorded with his "Twilight Saga" costar Kristen Stewart. The two weren't in the same city—actually, they were in different countries: Rob in Los Angeles and Kristen in Montreal —but some sort of conference call situation allowed the duo to record a commentary track together. It's clear the two are good friends, since they spent most of the movie teasing each other and reminiscing about the shoot.

Most of all, though, we got another major piece of evidence to prove our "Rob is odd" theory: basically the entirety of the DVD commentary. We watched it earlier this week—the tough things we do for you, Crushers—and jotted down 12 of the most bizarre (and, coincidentally, the funniest) quotes from the Robsten chatfest. Not surprisingly, most of them come from Rob. (Trust us, they're just as weird in context.)

Read them after the Cut

Do You Have A Spare $32,500 Lying Around?? If You Do You Can Meet Robert Pattinson

Photobucket

It seems Twihard's will finally be able to get their hands on Robert Pattinson, as the actor is being auctioned off for charity website, charitybuzz.

However, before you all get too excited, bidding for the Twilight heartthrob currently stands at a whopping $30,000! (Kate: :-0 HOW MUCH??)

According to Marie Claire, the next bid to meet and greet R-Pattz is likely to set you back a cool $32,500, but for that price, the lucky winner will get to hang-out with the hunky actor on the set of the next Twilight flick, Breaking Dawn.

The champ and their three guests will also win a stay at a luxury hotel, as well as being driven by limousine to and from the set to meet with Rob.

So if you have your pennies saved up and fancy having a bid head over here
(Kate: I'll be talking very nicely to Santa and playing the Lottery!)

Sofia Coppola Was Impressed By Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart In "Twilight"

Sofia Coppola Was Impressed By Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart In "Twilight"

PhotobucketPhotobucket

While the "Breaking Dawn" director's chair for both parts 1 and 2 is officially occupied by Bill Condon, "Twilight" fans know that there were several other high-profile names attached to the project before Condon signed on.

Among them was "Lost in Translation" and "Marie Antoinette" director Sofia Coppola. When we caught up with the writer/director to discuss her upcoming Chateau Marmont-set film, "Somewhere," we asked her if there was any truth to the "Dawn" director rumors.

"Yeah, yeah, I talked to them about that," Coppola revealed to MTV News. "I was interested in doing something but I didn't end up doing it. But I love, I'm impressed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson pulling it off in that whole story," she said. "And my friend's kids love the story so much that I thought it would be fun to make something that they love so much."

Asked what she liked best about the blockbuster vampire franchise, Coppola admitted she goes weak in the knees for romance.

"I just love that it's so romantic," she told us. "I'm always a sucker for a love story and also to do something for teenagers, because I feel like, why not have beautiful cinematography and all these things in a kid movie? Usually it looks like it's not crafted very sophisticated, and I feel like it'd be nice to bring that kind of style into a younger film."

'New Moon' To Receive Fan Choice Award At ShoWest

In the eyes of the Academy Awards, "The Hurt Locker" was the Best Picture of 2009. But a loyal army of Twilighters feel differently — and this week, they're making their opinions known at one of Hollywood's most visible annual conventions.

"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" has been selected for the ShoWest/Fandango Fan Choice Award, which will be presented Thursday at ShoWest's Final Night Banquet and Award Ceremony at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. The Fan Choice Award was voted on by nearly 50,000 moviegoers, who were asked on Fandango to select their favorite film of 2009.

ShoWest, the largest annual convention for the motion-picture industry, is currently under way in Las Vegas. This year's installment will once again end with the celebrated Banquet and Award Ceremony, where awards will also be presented to Vanessa Hudgens, Zach Galifianakis, Amanda Seyfried, Sam Worthington and Jerry Bruckheimer. Rumor has it that a producer from the "Twilight" series will accept the award, and a special video message from one of the franchise's top stars will be played for those in attendance.

"You might have guessed that 'Avatar' would have won the Fan Choice Award, since 'Avatar' was the top ticket-seller in our company's history," explained Fandango Chief Marketing Officer Ted Hong. "But never bet against the passion, loyalty and dedication of the vociferous 'Twilight' fans."

The sequel to "Twilight" garnered nearly 66 percent of the vote — although "Hurt Locker" shouldn't feel too bad, as the same studio (Summit Entertainment) showed off its diversity in 2009 by releasing both films.

"Moviegoers on Fandango have been behind the franchise from the very beginning, and that's why the first 'Twilight' movie won the Fan Choice Award last year," Hong added. "The big question will be whether or not 'Eclipse' will be in the running for next year's award, and if the franchise can pull off a three-peat."

"We are thrilled to once again have the opportunity to partner with Fandango to present the ShoWest/Fandango Fan Choice Award at this year's ShoWest Final Night Banquet and Award Ceremony," ShoWest managing director Robert Sunshine said in a statement. "It is no surprise that the fans have chosen the box-office hit 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' as this year's recipient, and we are excited to present the film with this award."

Robert Pattinson's Remember Me & Eclipse: Most Anticipated Movies of 2010 w/ Twilight Cast

MTV lists the movies that the Twilight stars have lined up in 2010.

"Remember Me" (March 12)
All of Hollywood is asking one simple question these days: Can Rob Pattinson open a non-"Twilight" movie? We'll find out soon enough, as he stars alongside Emilie de Ravin in this romantic drama that similarly involves family, tragedy and issues of eternal love — but minus the bloodsucking.

"Eclipse" (June 30)
It's the big kahuna, the top dog, the whole enchilada. And so far, virtually nothing has been released that gives us any indication of what David Slade's "Twilight" movie will be like. Who are we kidding? We're there anyway.

You can check out the rest of the movies over at MTV.com :)

Justin Bartha: Huge Robert Pattinson Fan :)

I love Justin ;)

From MTV.com:

According to the Internet, Zac Efron will have a role in the upcoming "The Hangover 2." However, according to the film's star, Justin Bartha, you shouldn't believe everything the Internet tells you — after all, if you did, you'd also be under the impression that Robert Pattinson might be joining Efron in the sequel to last year's hit comedy.

"Other people have said that, and we were at the Critics' Choice Awards the other day and I'll quote [director] Todd Phillips when someone else asked [if Zac Efron is in the film] — he said, 'IMDB is not the Wall Street Journal. It is run by a 15-year-old boy in Tampa. So be careful what you read,' "Bartha told MTV News on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday.

"But, yes, he is. And so is the vampires from 'Twilight,' and Will Smith is also in it," he joked. "Huge Pattinson fan. Huge."

OK, so Efron won't be joining the gang for antics in the next flick — but will Mike Tyson be back? Bartha hopes so. "I want Tyson with me all the time. He's the greatest guy ever."

All joking aside, what can fans expect from the next "Hangover" movie? Well, Bartha knows but he's just not allowed to tell. "Well, we're all ready to go and I think we're looking later on in the year. There's a few more things to be worked out but it looks like it could happen at the end of the year," he said of filming. "I do know a little bit about it, yeah. No, not in Las Vegas — that I can tell. I can't tell you anything else."

Robert Pattinson and New Moon #6 at MTV's Top 9 of 09

6. "New Moon" Fever Strikes
Aside from Gaga, the other obsession we couldn't shake in 2009 was the breathless wait for the release of the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon." From the slow reveal of the trailer to the details of the movie's smash opening weekend, we took you behind the scenes for every step of the journey, though even we couldn't unravel the truth behind the alleged relationship between co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

"New Moon"
It's hard to put into words just how jacked up we were for the sequel to the first "Twilight" movie. We obsessed over the various trailers for the vampire-vs.-werewolf flick, dissected every frame, and asked Twi-Hards what they thought. We would not let it go when it came to searching for definitive proof that Robsten (stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) were indeed an item, and then we got all distracted by the many, many, many shirtless photos of new breakout hunk Taylor Lautner.

And that's all before the movie actually hit screens in November and smashed records with a $142 million opening weekend. And, of course, we're going to do it all over again this year in the ramp-up to "Eclipse."

Robert Pattinson Surprising Laura Culpepper - Extended Video

Robert Pattinson/Kristen Stewart Lost Audition Tape to be Aired

From MTV.com
Ever since they first read Stephenie Meyer's novel, Twilighters all over the world have been counting down the days until next week's release of the "New Moon" movie. Now, MTV is joining the party with our very own prime-time specials welcoming the newest film in the "Twilight" franchise to the big screen.

On Monday, November 16, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, MTV will air "Love Bites," an exclusive half-hour special examining the lives, love and literature fueling Hollywood's current obsession with "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Utilizing new interviews, never-before-seen footage and the vast library we've accumulated over the last few years of being the fans' top "Twilight" news resource, we'll show you the couple affectionately known as "RPattz" and "KStew" like you've never seen them before.

In case that isn't enough of an Edward and Bella blowout, we'll be following that show with "New Moon Revealed" at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by our own Twi-Hard reporter Kim Stolz, the show will explore the "Twilight" phenomenon while answering the fans' most burning questions from the serious to the sublime to the just plain silly.

"Love Bites" will get up close and personal, chronicling the relationship between Pattinson and Stewart from its early stages through their present-day reign as purveyors of Hollywood's top romance. MTV will dig into the archives to give viewers a peek at their first, very intimate audition on director Catherine Hardwicke's bed, as well as the early interview on the "Twilight" set where the duo spoke candidly about building their chemistry. Hitting the streets of Vancouver and Portland, where the films were shot, viewers will find out what goes on when the cast has downtime and what local bars, restaurants and locations they frequent — as well as hear from the people who see them when they are off camera.

In "New Moon Revealed," MTV News will provide fans with unrivaled access to the "Twilight Saga," courtesy of a 30-minute special anchored from "New Moon" mall events in Los Angeles and Chicago. The show will prominently feature die-hard fans of the series as they clamor to get a glimpse of the actors they've worshipped from afar. In the show, MTV News will count down the five hottest, most burning questions fans of the "Twilight" series want answered — from exploring how stardom has changed Robert Pattinson, to finding out whether Kristen Stewart is on Team Edward or Team Jacob, to telling the behind-the-scenes tale of how Taylor Lautner almost lost the role of Jacob.

As always, MTV News is all over "Twilight." And on November 16, "Revealed" and "Love Bites" will give vampire lovers something extra special to sink their teeth into.

Elizabeth Reaser Mentions Rob in MTV interview

MTV.com have an interview with Elizabeth Reaser. I've put up the parts where she mentions Rob. To read the rest head over to MTV.com

MTV: Do you own any "Twilight" memorabilia?

Reaser: My mom bought some Esme bracelets. I'm sure I could borrow one from her if I wanted to. But I don't have any memorabilia. I have my director's chair [backing]. But I should get something, take something back from set — maybe I could get Rob to sign it.

MTV: Finally, what in your opinion is the secret behind the success of the "Twilight Saga"?

Reaser: Well, I think the success of the "Saga" is the books. The books are just beautiful, amazing, great storytelling, and Stephenie is a great writer. And then, I think we got incredibly lucky with Kristen and Rob — they're just great actors, and you just can't not fall in love with them and want them to be together. You get invested in the two of them. That has a lot to do with it, and people are just really into vampires, so I think that has something to do with it. The Cullens, they're an interesting group of vampires. They're all really good, but kind of bad. I mean, they are still vampires. I imagine Esme going out in the middle of the night and ripping apart a mountain lion. That's kind of fascinating.

Thanks once again to Sleeper for the tip.

MTV Teen Choice Video

From MTV.com
Pattinson, who helped the "Twilight" crew win 11 awards on Sunday, took to the mic in his gracious and awkward manner to announce that if the fans think he's hot, the feeling is mutual. "Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it," he said. "I have to say that the hottest hottie, the hottest teens are the 'Twilight' fans. And thank you to Stephenie Meyer and the usuals."

Robert Pattinson's Least Favourite Q: What's it like kissing Taylor Lautner?

'New Moon' Stars Still Find Comic-Con 'Terrifying'
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner discuss life in the 'Twilight' spotlight.

By Larry Carroll
SAN DIEGO — Appropriately enough for a movie series about a vampire clan that never sleeps, "Twilight" day at Comic-Con began bright and early. Gathered together at 9:30 a.m. Thursday (July 23) for an invite-only press conference, a small group of reporters took up about a third of the massive ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront hotel, eager to talk fame, fiction and fanpires with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

"This year, I have something to say," Pattinson laughed, remembering that he was overwhelmed to the point of near speechlessness last year. "It's much more terrifying."

"This is a severely emotional movie. ... There are high points for Bella, but she's a manic-depressive basically," Stewart said of her "New Moon" performance. "There was more to think about. It's a more mature part."

Speaking with other reporters before the event, none of us Comic-Con veterans could recall a movie having an event like this before. Summit Entertainment claimed an entire ballroom for media only, no Twilighters allowed. Not "Lord of the Rings," not "Iron Man" or anything else had ever needed its own press event — a testament to the enormous growth of both "Twilight" and Comic-Con in general.

"It's crazy," Lautner said when the trio were asked about how they've been dealing with the fame. "None of us saw it coming, and this past year has been a ride for us."

Kristen Stewart, who currently has short black locks to play Joan Jett in "The Runaways," laughed, "I cut my hair off."

"It's still so young to me, I can't claim anything as a low," Pattinson said when asked about his avalanche of fame. "I live a nearly identical life, except for being recognized. It's not the worst thing in the world. I never did anything 'normal' before — and now, I get other people to do that for me."

Pattinson confirmed that Thursday afternoon's massive fan event in Hall H will screen a clip featuring him. The line outside the convention center is arguably the longest in Comic-Con history.

Speaking specifically about Stephenie Meyer's franchise, Stewart said, "You're so much inside [Bella's] head, it feels like home."

"When I play it, I try to eliminate the vampire element as much as I can," Pattinson said of playing Edward Cullen. "I only see it as a tool to make things more fraught."

"I did a lot of the apparition scenes, which were me doing one line a week," Pattinson remembered of the ghost-like appearances he filmed at the beginning of the "New Moon" shoot. "I had a stress-free three months. All the pressure was on Taylor."

Asked for the one "Twilight" question they hope to never answer again, Lautner knew his answer immediately. "To growl. I'm asked that by a lot by fans, and I don't like doing that," he said. "So, fans, please don't ask me that. Wait for the movie."

Pattinson's least favorite question? "What's it like kissing Taylor Lautner?" he grinned.
