New pictures of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart escaping the Cannes mayhem

UPDATE: Added different, untagged pics to the post.

More pictures as Rob, Kristen and their posse escape the madness outside the Cosmopolis after party.
It's like Rob said: "When you come to Cannes, you have to expect all this activity around you."

I think Rob and Kristen saw a spider in the car!

Philip Glenister On "Bel Ami" & Robert Pattinson & His Fans

Philip Glenister spoke to the DailyMail and talked about his part in "Bel Ami" and about Robert Pattinson and his Fans

Photobucket

Philip Glenister is not given to musing about his work. He’s a jobbing actor – or at least that’s what he’d have you believe. When asked what made him commit to playing Charles Forestier, a journalist in 19th-century Paris in new film Bel Ami he quips, ‘I was free on a Tuesday.’

But much about Philip is a front. Behind the gruff exterior – which he used to great effect as the brash DCI Gene Hunt in Life On Mars and its sequel Ashes To Ashes – is not quite a softie, but certainly someone who cares about his craft and works hard. He just likes to joke about it.

I ask him whether he had any journalists in mind when playing Forestier, the man who gives Robert Pattinson’s caddish character Georges Duroy his big break. ‘I based it on Piers Morgan,’ he says with a cackle.

Forestier and his wife, Madeleine, played by Uma Thurman, take Duroy under their wing, and she advises him the best way to get on in Paris is via the city’s most influential wives. Duroy embarks on some torrid affairs and steamy bedroom scenes as he scales the social ladder.

So how was it working with such impressive actors on the risqué period drama? Word is, Uma can be temperamental. ‘She’s bonkers,’ he jokes. And then there was Robert, one of the hottest actors in the world thanks to his role in the Twilight films. ‘We were filming at a house in Hertfordshire adjoining a school. The pupils got wind of it and started chanting, “Robert, Robert”. We had to threaten them with cattle prods!’ (Kate: Yeah right Phillip {giggle})

Joe Anderson Talks Hair Raising Moments For Robert Pattinson

Joe Anderson who plays Allister in "Breaking Dawn Part 2" mentioned in an interview about a creepy Robert Pattinson fan!

Photobucket

"I hadn't even arrived at the motel and already there was fan mail. They figured out where I was going to be -- and I didn't even know. But every one of those letters was so genuine and so sweet."
The creepy stuff? That was saved for other actors. "A woman was standing outside the Sutton Place in Vancouver with a pair of scissors. She had flown from England to cut some of Robert Pattinson's hair for a doll."

I bet she wishes she knew who Rob hairdresser was. She would have had enough for 20 dolls if she had been there when he got his buzz cut *shivers*

Great interview with Christoph Walts where amongst other things he mentions Robert Pattinson's legion of fans.

Christoph Waltz may be best known for his Oscar-winning turn in Inglorious Basterds, but he's taking on another famous villain with his portrayal of August in Water For Elephants, which hits theaters Friday. We caught up with the Austrian-born actor at the film's recent press day. He talks about uncovering the dark side in his characters, how Robert Pattinson handles his fame, and Reese Witherspoon's impressive stunt work on set. Christina Ricci says Robert Pattinson fans are awesome!

Christina Ricci says Robert Pattinson fans are awesome!

YAY for us! I love what she says here...read on...

Photobucket

From Eonline:

"Not really, I mean, everyone did a really good job of containing the paparazzi and the fans were really respectful."—Robert Pattinson's Bel Ami costar, Christina Ricci, at BlackBerry's launch party for the new BlackBerry Torch from AT&T, when we asked if the constant fan and paparazzi attention affected filmingWe've seen some, uh, rather intense Twi-hards in our day, so does that mean they're all tucked away in their coffins until Breaking Dawn?Added the svelte cutie: "[Pattinson's] fans, in particular, get behind his career. They're not going to screw up his career by ruining his next movie. They were awesome. They applauded people when we came out of set; they were there and super psyched we were in Budapest or wherever we were."

And a lovely quote from PopcornBiz for NBC San Diego:

"The world is used to seeing him one way, and he's very, very different in this movie," Ricci tells PopcornBiz from the Blackberry Torch from AT&T launch party, "But he's an actor, that's what it's about. And he's really great in this."

Normal Fan Encounter at Remember Me Set

We all know that MOST Robert Pattinson fans are normal (almost normal:)) that they respect his personal space, that they don't look under bathroom stalls, that even though we call him God a lot, they know he is a normal person who is just doing his job and we all know that they hang out at ROBsessed all day ;)

We adore him, we like looking at him, we LOVE watching his movies, interviews and we support him.

There are fans like the fans that our Trixie reported from NYC yesterday or the fan that was at the same bar as Rob and didn't even take a picture or the fan that bumped into him at NYU yesterday (from TwiCrackAddict.com):

Brayndi wrote about her fan encounter with Rob yesterday:
I totally agree with all the comments made about the lack of respect that was shown to Rob yesterday while filming. I am an NYU student and I was there before I had to go to one of my classes, and the pandemonium was even more intense that the pictures or video make it out to be. I am a fan of Rob myself, but I understand that he is WORKING and isn't some circus side show for people to oogle at. I stayed behind the barricades and watched from where the producers told us to. But some of those girls, and I did see the "girls" that made it into the video, were relentless. Every time that he was minutely unprotected they rushed him to try and get autographs and pictures. It was disgusting.

When it was time for me to go to class I walked into the building where most of NYU's classrooms are and just happened to see Rob standing by the elevators apparently trying to escape the craziness outside. (They were also using the building for other movie purposes as well) I approached him very nicely and ASKED him if I could take a picture with him and he was more than nice. He asked me if I went to school at NYU and told him I was actually on my way to class. I commented on the hysteria outside and he laughed. So I hope that I was able to show him that not all fans are as batsh-t crazy as the ones that were mobbing him.
Thanks to Brayndi and TwiCrackAddict :)

And thanks to everyone that sent me the link to this ;)
