NEW: Robert Pattinson posing for NYFF portrait and causing involuntary swooning

This is just Rob looking effortlessly fantastic but the photo caption is what has us raising our hands and saying, "Amen, sister!"

"The time Robert Pattinson took off his skull cap, put his fingers through his hair & looked absolute perfect."

Can you just see it?? *swooooon*
And her reply to a comment..."he's as charming as he looks"

FKA twigs talks about her relationship with Robert Pattinson: "...very worth it."

 photo image-5.jpg

This is sweet and so true...

Excerpt from a recent interview with USA TODAY:
Despite the critical acclaim that met LP1, Twigs has also encountered an uglier side of fame since stepping out with reported boyfriend Robert Pattinson, of Twilight fame, in September. Faced with floods of racist remarks and death threats on Twitter, and swarmed by paparazzi, she has since taken a step back from social media — after all, she says, she has no control over the online venom of "14-year-old kids that should be in bed" — but she still finds the constant attention difficult.

"I really enjoy the fun of putting something out and people liking it or hating it or talking about it, but vacuous attention, it feels disgusting. It's like a hangover," she says. "It's weird, I know that's not really because of me or what I'm doing," but nevertheless, "the positivity that I get from (my relationship) makes the more challenging aspects ... very worth it."
He's definitely worth it.

Cosmopolis with Robert Pattinson, "played to perfection", is one of the most overlooked films of 2012

Cosmopolis with Robert Pattinson, "played to perfection", is one of the most overlooked films of 2012

Be proud, DR! Cosmopolis makes another year end list!

Photobucket

This time from The Film Stage's Most Overlooked Films of 2012:
This one’s been stewing in my brain for months, and none of the reflection has tainted this film one bit; if anything, it’s only grown more valuable over time. David Cronenberg’s limousine trip into the damaged perspective of a young, emotionally hollow fat cat — played to perfection by a not-as-advertised Robert Pattinson — can’t really be considered the most accessible work of 2012, but those willing to go with its strange rhythms and mysterious internal logic are bound to get… something. While I think it’s best people make the thing out for themselves by just letting it all sit, those simply hoping for a left-of-center cinematic experience ought to find themselves more than pleased. And that’s without even considering the incredible music of Howard Shore & Metric.

So cute. So smirky. I love his...oh wait...can I say I love his crooked smile?? Edward doesn't have to own that, right? It can be any guy's. Some guys go overboard with the crooked smile and it's halfway up their face but Rob's...it's perfect :)

Cosmopolis Review: 4 out of 5 stars, Robert Pattinson has "merit and charm...he is perfect"

This is a Google translation for now and it's from 2 articles in Le Nouvel Observateur. I'll excerpt key parts and put the full translation after the cut.

Photobucket
  • The film received 4 out of 5 stars noted on Allocine HERE.
  • [Robert] is perfect: annoying, arrogant, talkative and charming.
  • Robert Pattinson has merit. And charm. Adding that the car is pleasant, with soft lighting and bar in digital gadgets.
  • [Cosmopolis is] puzzling, annoying, surprising, exciting.
  • [David Cronenberg's] film is like no other, is a signature elegance, its willingness to move away from Hollywood is constant.
  • Cosmopolis is the lament of the crisis.

Review of Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis - Notes he is perfect as Eric Packer

Review of Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis - Notes he is perfect as Eric Packer

UPDATE: Added another translation to the post from Alt Film Guide:
An early Cosmopolis review has come out via Studio CinĂ© Live‘s Fabrice Leclerc. Directed by the iconoclastic David Cronenberg, who adapted Don DeLillo’s novel, and starring Robert Pattinson, Cosmopolis is definitely one of the most eagerly anticipated films at the Cannes Film Festival 2012.
The headline of Leclerc’s brief, three-star (out of five) Cosmopolis review reads: "A Cronenberg as brilliant as he is taut." Leclerc then begins his review by explaining that Cronenberg and DeLillo are "manufacturers of fantastic, unhealthy, and at times somber environments, of the science of language, and of totally chaotic characters. And of controversy as well."
Referring to Cosmopolis as a "ghostly and hypnotic" tale, Leclerc adds that Cronenberg had adapted to the letter DeLillo’s "ultrarich prose, filming with an incredible inventiveness this stifling and disturbing airtight environment."
As for Robert Pattinson, Leclerc says he’s "impeccable" until Cosmopolis‘ last segment, when, "lost in a verbal torrent," Pattinson "seems, all of a sudden, to be no longer in control."
Leclerc wraps up his review with the following: "As always with Cronenberg, there are no half-measures, no second gateway, no escape. Cosmopolis is to be experienced in full or not at all. Take it or leave it."
I would debate the reviewers issue of losing control at the end. That's actually what I would want to see from Eric Packer at the end. Can't wait to see this movie!

Photobucket

Studio Ciné Live (French) released a review of Cosmopolis. If you understand French, click the thumbnail at the bottom to read. We're going to need to get used to the translations, guys. Cannes will be producing tons of article and videos that will likely be dubbed and translated.

The reviewer gives the film 3 out of 5 stars and the main issue they had was Cronenberg's choice to stick with the author's text. They cite it works in some areas and felt it didn't in others. The review is also a bit shallow. A majority of the review is just a summary of the movie.

I personally like what I've seen in the clips. It's like we're watching a play. I like the the unique cadence since this is a unique day. It's going to be interesting to see how people respond that have never read the book.

Translation:
A Cronenberg as brilliant as he is firm.

Each in their own genre, David Cronenberg and Don DeLillo are silversmiths of fantastic, unhealthy and sometimes dark atmospheres. As well as of the science of language and characters in shambles and - let's not forget - of controversy.

It's then pretty obvious that one would end up adaptation the other's work. Cosmopolis is the ghostly and hypnotic story of a day in the life of a golden boy who is about to lose his empire because of the crisis, indifferent to the world that surrounds him. He's hypochondriac and schizophrenic. His long journey across a chaotic New York, rythmed by meetings with his wife, his mistresses and his employees, will lead him to a point of no return. In a perfect balanced cinematic movement, David Cronenberg decided to adapt to the letter the extremely rich prose of Don DeLillo. He filmed with an incredible ingenuity this stifling and unsettling closed-door.

This preconception to stay faithful to the text of the author is amazing but not without any danger. Especially in the last part of the film, where one could definitely get lost in a verbal flood that becomes complex for the viewer and for Robert Pattinson - who was perfect until then - but seems, all of the sudden, to lose control.

As always with Cronenberg, there's no in between, no second place, no way out. Cosmopolis gets appreciated at full or not at all. Take it or leave it.

Showcase Saturday starring Robert Pattinson

Showcase Saturday starring Robert Pattinson

After looking at this video, how can you not breathe, "perfect..." *cries*

So much PromoRob in this one! I love it. Especially since this past week brought us some 411 on PromoRob for Breaking Dawn :) Rob's sex is totally a killer.

The slow-mo strip tease from RomeRob and RomeRob fingering his sexhair? Done and done.

Would You Give Robert Pattinson The Flip?

Photobucket

No I don't mean that kind of flip

I mean this kind of flip from Bravo magazine from Solvenia (June 9th).

Photobucket

Magazines are (stupidly) still flipping Robert Pattinson's pics and thinking we won't notice. I mean really? I mean he just looks..................wrong! Plus they put the real pic on the front and the flipped pic inside.

The interview in it is the same as the German Bravo which you can read HERE if you missed it.

Moving swiftly along to Stop Magazine again from Slovenia (June 8th)

What in the Hell?? They've flipped his picture too!!
Now I get that when doing a magazine layout that sometimes it may be necessary to flip pictures to make things fit etc and it may work with other celebrities but as we have pointed out many times before it's not a good idea to flip Rob's pictures. It's really obvious when it's done with him. And I don't see ANY good reason for flipping this pic.

See here's the original GORGEOUS pic from Comic-Con 2009 Thanks to RobertPattinsonSource

Photobucket

Click Below if you think you can handle it in glorious HQ (but be warned it's hard to take)

Darja (who was good enough to scan these for us) has told us that there's nothing new in the interview.

(Interview? Yes there's an interview. I know I can't think straight after that pic either!)

Darja told us that he talks about how Clowns are scary. The interview is from Reuters agency about making WFE, the movie that WILL NOT be playing in Slovenia and the end of BD filming.

At least the Toronto Metro (May 27) haven't decided to flip this gorgeous still from the "Cosmopolis" filming which was featured on their front page.

Photobucket

Thanks to Darja for sending us these scans.

Oh and FYI in case there's any doubts no one REALLY flipped off Rob. It was done during the filming of "Remember Me" check out the story HERE you may have missed it as it was a while ago!

Robert Pattinson comments on Golden Globes host, Ricky Gervais

Photobucket
(pic from In Style/Warner Bros. party)

From TV Guide, talking about the HBO Golden Globes after party, mentioned a bit about Rob:

Robert Pattinson stopped Ricky Gervais on his way in to tell him his performance was "perfect". Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson joined their conversation and all four were soon laughing hysterically.

I thought Gervais was pretty funny. He pulled no punches that's for sure. Rattled the cages ;) I was also highly amused by another Robert. Of the Downey Jr. variety ;) Also love hearing when OUR Rob hobnobs with the A-listers :)

From Entertainment Weekly

ROBERT PATTINSON (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse)

Yes, Edward's still dreamy enough to make a girl want to turn vampire to spend eternity with him, but honestly, we're never more drawn to Pattinson than when he's being himself, whether it's playfully arguing with Stewart on the Eclipse DVD commentary or going door-to-door in Chicago inviting Twihards to a taping of Oprah. (Tink: TRUFAX! TRUFAX! RealRob is the best Rob.)

ROBsessed Nip-vestigates Robward's "Wonky" Mipple aka Left Mipple Gate

Everything started with a tweet:

@KatieSue617 is it just me or does it look like somthing is wrong with Rob's left nipple in the clocktower scene?

I didn't notice it, I was looking "somewhere else" in that scene :) But apparently a lot of people noticed Robward's "wonky" mipple (mipple = man nipple). While twitter peeps were discussing this very important "Left Mipple Gate" issue we got another tweet:

RT @PepperMonster He has a tear in his shirt over his left peck & when he takes his shirt off his left nipple has a scar around it

Since we never shy away from investigating crap like this (or looking at shirtless Robward pictures) we dug into our HQ files. Let's look at Robward when he walks into the Volturi lair:

The shirt is ripped on the left mipple side:

Let's look at Robward when he is taking his shirt off:

Let's look closer:

*stares dreamily*.....*keeps staring*....*comes down to earth*

Oh! Yep there is definitely something "wonky" about the mipple. Feel free to stare at it to make sure :) I think I'm going to have to see the movie for the 3rd time to REALLY make sure...

My explanation for the "bite mark" was:
Some horny woman jumped him while he was away moping for Bella and she tried to bite his mipple :)

When we thought we solved it with the crazy horny lady theory:
"@bucaticadinmine: am I the only one who thinks this doesn't makes sense? nothing harms vampires so what caused that scar?"

I was shame faced at not thinking of that but
@TweetsALittle and lroy6 had the answer: Vampire bites/venom can cause scars on other vamps! Remember Jasper has lots of them from battle!

Great! So he got into fights with some vamps and they bit his mipple! Naughty naughty vamps! But still, what if the wonky mipple belongs to Robert Pattinson and not Robward Cullenson? Oh the horror!

Well for that we had to dig really deep into the pictures from Italy, the unedited ones:

Yep, the mipple is just perfect and it's always been perfect:

We can all sigh in relief now that Left Mipple Gate" is solved :)

Thanks to PepperMonster, i_heart_the_doc, TweetsALittle, dancn_stacy09, @MyraMcEntire, KatieSue617,MeggsT, bucaticadinmine and lroy6 for their invaluable input in this very important discussion.

Partial Q&A Transcript of Robert Pattinson and co's London Fan Event Interview

First an extremely cute video from last night (thanks @KStew411):

Kristy was one of the lucky thousands that attended the New Moon fan event in London yesterday. She got some videos but like all videos from yesterday... scream alert!

So she wrote a partial transcript of the event for us. Thanks Kristy!

My favorite part?:

+ When he asked Rob if he ever had any obsessions he said "No, I'd love to have something to just stand and scream at." He then mumbled something like "Well I do scream when I...uhhh...No I was going to say something ridiculous...I would be in court." Kristen was smiling and shaking her head at him. (Gozde: Dude!Don't say stuff like that and kill us here...)

Just sayin' - pictures DO NOT do them justice. Kristen is probably the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my entire life. She's freakin' tiny! Skin is perfection, I want her legs, cute as hell, very talkative & jokey. LOTS of love for her from the crowd, which she got coy about. Rob...oh Rob. What can I say? Tall, unfairly handsome, adorable, funny, charming, happy (but we all know this) Rob smiles, everyone smiles.

Sadly for my camera there was red lighting on the stage so the pictures are a funny color but still pretty good quality (please try to ignore the overdone fog)

+ Rob's first question was something along the lines of : "Did you base your performance of Edward on James Dean?" Can't remember the whole answer but I recall him saying : "I'd be very lucky to play James Dean, I'd love to do that one day"

+ Every time the host (Nick from Radio 1) said Rob's name the crowd went crazy. They joked around and Rob told him to say a different name. He then went on to shout "JOHN! STEVE!" still getting the same reaction from the crowd (obviously)

+ Rob was asked "How has Twilight changed your outlook on life?" He replied, "Hmmmm...uhhh well I guess I have more respect for my name" he then mumbled something about handling women and wearing make-up whilst being giggly and adorable.

+ The host told the fans to shut up at one point and Kristen said, "Hey! Don't you talk to them like that!"
