ROBsessed's 30 Days for Rob's 30 Years: It's awesome Robert Pattinson loves to read

ROBsessed's 30 Days for Rob's 30 Years: It's awesome Robert Pattinson loves to read

Rob has told us he reads on multiple occasions such as in Italy's "Vanity Fair"
Interviewer: Do you read a lot?
Rob: Oh yeah.

Interviewer: What’s your favourite book?
Rob: Dubliners by James Joyce.

Even back in Twilight day in the LA Times Rob mentions how he loves to read
Interviewer: What is your favorite thing to do all by yourself?
Rob: Read.

Interviewer: What’s the best book you’ve read recently? You’re not allowed to say “Twilight.”
Rob: (Laughs) “New Moon.” (Laughs again). I recently read a book of E.M Forster’s short stories that was really good.

And he gave a great answer to F Magazine on the importance of the Twilight franchise
Interviewer: In hindsight, what do you think the importance or the value of the twilight franchise will be, looking back at it? What has it brought to our society, as it is so influential to the youth?
Rob: I think anything that gets young people reading is one thing that is pretty important. That was the same thing when I did Harry Potter: it's kind of amazing, but Harry Potter completely changed everything. I don't remember kids talking about books, and the young adult genre was so much smaller before Harry Potter, and thing like Twilight and Harry Potter just exploded.
Robsessed has been keeping track of the books we know Rob has read at the bookclub.  Check out the list of books we know Rob has read here

The Robert Pattinson Book Club: Rob's Reading List Finds A Home On The Blog

UPDATE: 2/28/13 - added 3 titles up top and another author. Some fantasy reading that Rob did when he was younger. Any of you have some young boys? Check out what Rob inadvertently recommends ;) These titles will also be added to our side bar widget for the book club.

Rob loves to read. We love Rob. Let's love what Rob reads.

(Before you ask...yes the video cuts off right there. That's the editing of Harpo Productions *bitchface*)

The Oprah Show is gone and I sometimes wish Rob took her place. I could see him screaming at the audience like Oprah used to do...

Photobucket

Ok, she didn't scream like that but this is The Robprah Show. I want to know what shampoo he uses (even if it were an old hotel brand) or what kind of boxers he likes (oh we know that already) or his favorite restaurants (he'd hate it if we knew this) or what books he reads...

Oh wait! Rob DOES tell us that sometimes! We like knowing some of Rob's favorite things and through the years, he's shared quite a bit regarding his reading list. Obviously he's read loads of things but I gathered a compilation of books he's mentioned in public over the past 3+ years.

Who knew all the answers to our Robert Pattinson questions and won a copy of Beautiful Bastard and $100 to La Perla?

The wait is over! Who are the proud winners of our Beautiful Bastard giveaway? First lets find out the answers to our questions. When did Rob tell ladies they should just throw their panties at him? In 2008, on a Seattle radio talk show just before Twilight came out. He was unfiltered and hilarious and pure Rob.

Photobucket
How about the photoshoot that inspired the look of Beautiful Bastard in The Office? It was none other than GQRob! He was suited up with rolled sleeves looking positively sinful with that long tousled hair and smoldering gaze.

And the last question was, "what is the title of the fanfiction Rob has admitted to reading?"

Most recently during Breaking Dawn Part 2 promo, Josh Horowitz played the Yes/No game with the cast. One of questions was if they'd ever read any Twilight fanfiction and Rob said he read Master of the Universe. He was ahead of the game.

There you have it! 2008, GQ and Master of the Universe. Using Random.org, the winner of our Beautiful Bastard giveaway which includes $100 gift card to La Perla or Victoria's Secret and an advance copy of Beautiful Bastard is....................................

Robert Pattinson adds another title to his Book Club (that we made up) + another film in the works is revealed!

Robert Pattinson adds another title to his Book Club (that we made up) + another film in the works is revealed!

Rob is on fire with new projects! Can't wait for one of them to start rolling. In the meantime, we have the name of not only another project but also a book Rob has read - The Professionals. Could this be the 6th unnamed project from Rob?

Twilight Saga producer, Wyck Godfrey, talks to MTV:

Here's the article with the video:
When MTV News caught up with "Twilight" producer Wyck Godfrey recently to discuss Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's chances of another Best Kiss win at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (June 3), he revealed that he and Pattinson might be cooking up some post-"Breaking Dawn - Part 2" work plans, in the form of a big-screen adaptation of a crime thriller.

"There's a book called "The Professionals," which is a new crime thriller that Rob has read and really likes," Godfrey said of Owen Laukkanen's well-received debut novel. "We're just starting to look at a writer [to adapt it]. It's kind of a 'Bonnie and Clyde' for today, and he would be fantastic in the role. It's in the early days; we'll see."

A modern-day version of "Bonnie and Clyde" sounds gritty and violent no matter which way you look at it. We asked Godfrey if he sees this potential big-screen crime thriller as a PG-13- or R-rated film for Pattinson.

"Possibly R," he said. "[Rob's] an adult now."
YES! Rated R Rob....we are ALL about that. We'll add the book to THIS LIST as well as our side bar :) Thanks for the reading material, Rob!
