Another great fan encounter with Robert Pattinson

We've been posting fan encounters with Robert Pattinson that show just how good he is to us fans.  This story is the story of another fan encounter. Some lucky fans shared this story from the set of 'Childhood of a Leader' and we get to hear how people who work with Rob think he is kind and impossibly patient!

An extraordinary chance appeared for me and a friend of mine: we grabbed the opportunity to be on

set in the Court of Lions (Buda Castle), freezing in the cold on 2nd February, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Promising that we would not sneak in the picture, take photos or faint at the sight of anyone, we

were allowed inside the cordon.

The situation was not easy: the place was cold and droughty, so we almost froze to death, even
though sometimes we were let inside the cabinets used by the staff to get warm.

So we just stood there, waiting for the big, black car, which eventually arrived, with no one but the
driver. He put a small bottle of mineral water in the cup holder at the back seat, and nothing else
happened. Then the door of a large caravan opened somewhere behind us, and Rob stepped out with
his assistant, so that they could shoot a scene already rehearsed without him.

Originally this was the moment, where we should have fainted.

At this point of the plot, Rob’s character is completely bold and wears a thick moustache and beard.
I think these were dyed even darker than his own hair.

This was the first time I met him ”personally”, and I just melted at the sight. I, being 1.78 m tall,
never thought him so much taller with his 1.85 m, yet, I must admit that I felt him towering over
me. *sigh

And he is thin as a blade, which was clearly visible, although he was wearing a massive military
coat.

And he has a voice, which is… just music to my ears. Unfortunately we could not hear him during
the shooting, I guess he must act a bit, as his own voice does not quite fit his hardy character. We
shall see.

There were about 200 extras freezing with us as well.

I could not recall, where would the scene we saw fit into the original piece by Sartre, so I think an
entirely different story will be built for us.

Besides that it was an unforgettable experience seeing Rob just a few steps away from me, it
was even better to hear the opinion of the crew around on him. We asked one of them, to tell us
honestly, what kind of a person he is – not the performance delivered by him, but simply Rob as
this one guy, in private and as an actor at work.

According to the reply he is a kind lad, polite, kind, impossibly patient, doing everything he is
asked without the slightest complaint. He would not drive anyone mad with his allures. He is just
sitting silently, does his job when told so, and goes off reading when there is time for rest.
We just overheard an opinion, when a guy from the technical department walked over and asked the
others, who had not yet seen Rob: „Hey, have you seen Pattinson?” „Not yet.” „Man, what they did
to him… but as disgusting his character is, this appearance should just fit.”

At another chance to get warmer, we just walked into the shelter provided for the VIP, where Brady
Corbet was watching the scene being shot outside. (Actually he is indeed a small guy, very adorable
and a bit nervous. Maybe he was upset by the commotion in the neighborhood caused by the visit of
the German chancellor.) We were standing almost just behind him, watching the screens as Rob sits
in the car, Rob gets out of the car, Rob gets into the car, and finally Corbet said ”Cut!”… and then
Rob walked in to have a look of the shot. He watched it without a single frown, and just held up his
thumb.

We were almost at the melting point.

He left and they shot another scene.

By the way, I guess that the shooting of a film is such an unbelievable event: not really interesting,
but mostly tiring and slightly boring, unless there is someone to keep your attention. :)
We did not wait until the end of the day for Rob to leave the location. We saw the essence of it, we
were given more, than we hoped for, so I could not tell if Rob dressed up normally after he left or
not. I could also not tell how he looks like in plain clothes.

Still, the lines we heard and the answers we were given brought us some sort of a silent
complacence: Rob looks just the way as I imagined him. He has wonderful eyes *sigh, his voice
could be a cure for any illness, and he did not show any sight of being self-conceited as a movie
star.

We behaved like good kids, we did not push too far and did not even try to take backstage photos.
We did not disturb him as he concentrated on his role by popping up and asking for autographs. So
we are left only with this little story, told by heart.

Robert Pattinson is always so good to his fans

Robert Pattinson is always so good to his fans and here is another example from the ROBsessed archives.

This is the story from one of ROBsessed commenters Anna from the Eclipse premiere in Los Angeles.  Anna got some great pictures and something even better!! Read her story below....

So I went to the premiere, didn't decide to finally go until the week before. I arrived that Sunday night and then got up that Monday early (at 5am) to find a huge line already. Got in line and waited 6 hours for a black wristband.

Thursday rolls around the "big day". Met up with my twifriends and we waited in line. Got to the black carpet and we moved around a bit and got really good spots to stand. We were in the very front and saw all of the stars arrive and we were the last ones they saw before they went into the theater.

So now about Rob...we all knew he arrived because as soon as he got out of the car he went to the fans across the street from the black carpet and the LAPD and the security went running to him, it was crazy to watch. So while he is doing this his parents and sisters arrive with other people. They were watching him sign autographs across the street.

We all starting chanting "we want rob" and they started to laugh and his mom took pics of us. I yelled to his mom "you have a beautiful and talented son" and she said "thank you". I also told his dad when he walked by "we love your son" and he laughed and said "thank you" too. It was really funny because his mom was taking a pics of Taylor not rob. So then we waited and met a whole of bunch of stars from twilight and not, took a tons of pics and got a lot of autographs.

So then Rob finally came around...it was the most surreal experience ever. He had a black marker and signed my book and I told him he needed to use my silver marker because the book was black and he looked up and said "what" and I said it again and he laughed because his autograph didn't come out and then said "where's your marker" and I gave him mine and he gave it back (I will never use that marker again LOL). Then I asked for a hug and his people said "NO" but then he did and i said thank you. i could have asked for a pic with him but instead i went for the hug. Everything happened so fast but it was incredible, I really don't have words to describe it anymore. It was almost like the whole thing was a dream.

Then the security started to come around and they had the premiere passes, the whole crowd got crazy but I got one :) I went in saw the movie and had the most incredible experience. That night I said I would never do it again because I am too old, I felt like i was 13 out there doing this but that night my age kicked in and my back and feet were killing me. Now that I am home and recuperated I think I might have to go out there for breaking dawn LOL. I have emailed my twilight friends hoping that one of them got the hug in pics but none yet :( oh well it's in my memory forever. Rob in person is beyond words better than pics and videos.

Oh and I was interviewed in the day by showtime. I told them where I was from and other stuff so they asked me if i was a twihard and I said "No, I am Robsessed". The girl thought it was funny. So that was my adventure.

Don't you love how Anna answered she was Robsessed!

This story comes from back in 2010 when Rob was 'at work' promoting his movie. But earlier today, five years later, Rob posed with fans when he was out at a restaurant (see pic here) in his own private time.

Rob really is amazingly patient and kind to us fans.

You could feel the excitement ripple through the line. It was indeed the big three, along with the director. Once you entered the room, the line ran along the left, and they were spread out and seated behind tables to the right. The line curved around so that you received autographs in this order: Taylor, Rob, Kristen, Bill Condon.

To say it was surreal is an understatement. All you could do was stare while you waited in line. They were right there. He was right there. Right. There. (Kate: We get ya!) Finally it was my turn.

"I wished Taylor (his teeth are SO white and he’s super confident) good luck with his upcoming movie, Abduction. I may have said a little a little more than that, but I had my eye on the prize.(Kate: Good woman!)

Rob: Hi. How are you?
Me: Trying not to pass out. (I know. Not cool. He smiled.)(Kate: I would be DEAD at this stage)
Rob: Well don’t do that. (Kate: My plan would be to faint so that he might be the gentleman and catch me :-})
Me: (deep breath) So…the hair…Cosmopolis reshoots?
Rob: (his bent fingers went to the long side of his hair; my breath hitched) No. I don’t think there are going to be any reshoots, actually (a little bit of surprise in his voice).
Me: (smiling) So you just like it then.
Rob: (laughs and rocks back in his chair) Yeah! (Kate: Oh Rob, that's why we love you! You little weirdo {giggle})
Me: I really enjoyed Water for Elephants and made it to the premiere in New York City.
Rob: Cool. Thank you so much.
Me: I’m really looking forward to watching your career unfold and hope it includes some music in the future.
Rob: Maybe. (My heart took that as a yes.) (Kate: Eeeeeeeek) Thanks for your support.
