Once little known for his supporting role as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series, Pattinson is now drawing big crowds--and drooling ladies--of his own. In recent weeks, he's graced a slew of magazine covers and scored dozens of interviews for his starring role as Edward Cullen, the vampire in the silver screen's heavily hyped Twilight adaptation. Still more proof of his fan interest: The flick's opening weekend delivered a jaw-dropping $70 million at the U.S. box office.

ReplyDeleteHey just an FYI on Rob's IMDb board there is a post about Catherine Hardwick being canned from directing New Moon. Comes from a "reliable" source this news, I'm waiting for Summit to confirm it but if this is true it comes at a horrible time when she is promoting Twilight on the EuroTour.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope that's not true! I love how CH is so passionate about the books. I think most of the problems with Twilight had to do with the low budget and the screenplay itself.

I predicted after I posted my personal opinion about Twilight
that I thought it would gross over 150 million, even though I said I wasn't impressed by Twilight.
I thought they could of done a better job. But I stated that because I knew Rob would bring the women in.

She seems pretty laid back and so jazzed about the project.
She had a lot of challenges and yes Twilight could of been a lot better, she made a lot of flaws, but I think she did great with what she had to work with.

ReplyDeleteIf CH and Summit are parting ways because of their visions are different, I'm nervous for NM. Twilight wasn't perfect, but I felt that CH was committed to staying true to the feel of the book. I'm not convinced that Summit cares about keeing to SM's story.
Wow, Summit better get someone that does a good job or they are going to have so rabid, angry fans on their hands. Hopefully he/she will be as passionate about the story as CH is.
