Ellie - I actually saw the movie the Thursday before. It played three times in Austin. I'm quite thankful I didn't get in to the Saturday showing as I was able to get right in the front of the queue to meet him because I wasn't inside the cinema. :-)
On the Thursday though Oliver gave us tickets and I was able to chat with him for over 30 minutes after the movie and the Q&A. Very nice guy.. and tiny!

Films that are released in the Summer, Fall and Holiday seasons are the films that have potential of being in the running for those big awards.
Kate they don't understand his uncomfortableness. He is gorgeous without realizing it without letting it go to his head. That is a huge part of his appeal. They don't get him. He's sexy, charming and not into hiding his stress, quirks, etc. He tries but in the end he's just who he is and we love him for who he is.

My bairns have reaked havoc over my body over three pregnancies...I tend to overcook them and they literally are born the size of your average 3 month old child.

All the women on my mom's side of the family tend to have large babies so I'll probably have that same issue when I have kids. My cousin weighed 13 pounds at birth!
I feel for you because I was nearly 10lbs and my poor Mum used to tell me how she would waddle up to the corner shop everyday and that was the only bit of exercise that she could manage!

I can see the dandruff in his hair even Kathryn. His bone structure, his skin, his hair, his smile, his long fingers, those are really, really good photos. I love how his hair was so clean and shiny.
Yes, my bairns have successfully gotten larger each time...I always picture that if I were ever to give birth again that my child will wind up in some rag like Weekly World News.
It does run in the family...I was over 8, as were both my nieces. My 4'10" grandmother had two that were over 9.
BTW, Rob's hair looks squeaky clean and too flat for my tastes. I am seriously macking on those scrumptious sideburns!

a friend had a large baby and she was border line gestational diabetic, that's why they said and she was only 5'2" with a 9lb. 10oz. child, the pushing was not fun.
I can't even imagine a 9 or 10lb baby. My kiddies were 6lbs 2 oz and 7 lbs 1/2 oz and the still my dr. still had to use the vacuum on both of them because apparently I have a small pelvis.
Ellie- I guess babies swallowing mecconium is normal. My mom said I did it too--yuck! And my son had to be flushed out continuously while I was in labor so he didn't swallow it.
My friends midwife said her baby was big because of GD and they watched her like a hawk during that preg and the one after, the one after was in the 7lb range because one that one she was over the pre and into.
Dana---I actually have narrow hips...I just come from breeding stock (15 kids between my mom and dad's sides). My kids all arrived late and the last two were evicted by force. My uterus is just prime!
I swear I don't know how you all read my comments with the typos. I meant she was preGD on the first one tht was almost 10lbs and the second in the 7 range and she was in full GD with the second one.
Dana--Yeah, it's more common than I thought. Besides that, my water never broke and they thought I had a "slow leak", so K atie had to have a spinal tap at 1 hour old and 72 hours of IV antibiotics, as well as that damn tube in the nose... she kept trying to get at the needle..
Okay, I gotta chime in the preggers line...Josh was 9 lbs. 10.5 ounces and 21 inches long. I was a freaking subdivision by the end of my pregnancy with him!
Lynn- I forgot to say congrats to you for your sz. 8. Did you really notice a differnce in weight loss once you became a vegetarian? I was one as well for about 9-10 years but I stopped when I got pregnant with my son and haven't looked back since. I do still have aversions to some meat though. When I didn't eat meat though I didn't notice any weight loss- but it was probably due to me over compensating with carbs!
Hi Jules we're talking now about wrecking our bodies and ourkids, Lynn's amazing birth strength and K's amazing photos. Just a bunch of women chatting away.

I eat red meat only once a week. Most my protein comes from fish, a little chicken, eggs and beans. The majority of my diet is fresh fruit and veggies. Tons and tons of water!

Thank you, Kate! I am very proud and feel much better. I plan to lose another 20 lbs. But, if I drop below a size 4, I start to look like an alien (big head syndrome).

ReplyDeleteAll the women on my mom's side of the family tend to have large babies so I'll probably have that same issue when I have kids. My cousin weighed 13 pounds at birth!

ReplyDeleteIt does run in the family...I was over 8, as were both my nieces. My 4'10" grandmother had two that were over 9.
BTW, Rob's hair looks squeaky clean and too flat for my tastes. I am seriously macking on those scrumptious sideburns!

ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine a 9 or 10lb baby. My kiddies were 6lbs 2 oz and 7 lbs 1/2 oz and the still my dr. still had to use the vacuum on both of them because apparently I have a small pelvis.

Ellie- I guess babies swallowing mecconium is normal. My mom said I did it too--yuck! And my son had to be flushed out continuously while I was in labor so he didn't swallow it.

ReplyDeleteMy friends midwife said her baby was big because of GD and they watched her like a hawk during that preg and the one after, the one after was in the 7lb range because one that one she was over the pre and into.

ReplyDeleteDana---I actually have narrow hips...I just come from breeding stock (15 kids between my mom and dad's sides). My kids all arrived late and the last two were evicted by force. My uterus is just prime!

Dana--Yeah, it's more common than I thought. Besides that, my water never broke and they thought I had a "slow leak", so K atie had to have a spinal tap at 1 hour old and 72 hours of IV antibiotics, as well as that damn tube in the nose... she kept trying to get at the needle..

ReplyDeleteLynn- I forgot to say congrats to you for your sz. 8. Did you really notice a differnce in weight loss once you became a vegetarian? I was one as well for about 9-10 years but I stopped when I got pregnant with my son and haven't looked back since. I do still have aversions to some meat though. When I didn't eat meat though I didn't notice any weight loss- but it was probably due to me over compensating with carbs!

Dana---thanks on the size 8....my metabolism hit tenfold with vegetarianism. I dropped about 20 lbs in 8 weeks. It has changed my life significantly!
Plus Cameron Diaz tried to claim that's all she did to keep her weight down and a personal trainer blasted her for that, like right that's all it takes. Phew.
