Hottest guy of 2008 -Damn straight he is!

Cosmopolitan named Rob as one of the hottest guys of 2008.

OK! Magazine has named him the hottest Brit. (Although they say he is dating "she who shall not be named" and called SM Stefani they at least got this right : His James Dean-ish persona and chiseled features are sure to only get better with age!)

There are still 13 days left in 2008 and Rob already made 3 lists including MTV :) And all we can say is "Damn straight!"

  2. Wujuu, I wonder what other lists will he apper in.

  3. Stella, how about "Number One" on the "Most Likely to Melt Your Panties Right Off and Leave You in a Puddle of Drool" list and the "Hobochic Elite" list...:)

    ReplyDelete
  4. LOL, Ellie! He would definitely be #1 on both of those lists!

    ReplyDelete
  5. oye ...ok mag, figures the only thing they would get right is that he is on the list and the description of his looks. i can't believe they are trying to use old gossip for his personal status. and how do you miss spell the name of a best selling novel.. again..oye

  6. Hey Goz...my email is being a jerk but just wanted to say no biggie. You're nota prude, the name is a little racy. Don't worry a bit about it.

  7. Good afternoon, lovelies! This is a pure joy to pore over some fab articles after the day that never seemed like it's going to end!

Hello, Dani, Kate, Stellaluna, Sabrina and el!

    ReplyDelete
  8. No kidding el. I get so bugged when people don't do their research. Stefani? When did Gwen write a best selling novel? Let's hope they at least spelled Rob's name right.
Good for him! I'm so glad he's getting the attention he deserves. Of course, WE all know he's much, much more than just a pretty face (and a pretty body, hands, hair, tushy...) but what a face it is!

  9. hey, Sabrina! Did you get more snow...it rained like crazy again! The Californian in me is hating it, I keep hearing "where's your umbrella"!

    ReplyDelete
  10. No, it hasn't snowed in my neighborhood yet today, but other parts of the puget sound have gotten snow.

  11. Hey Everyone!

Just popping in quickly to say hi before dinner...

Not sure if I'll be around later as I have to work on our Christmas Cards (damn them).

Glad Cosmo has figured out what we here at Robsessed a LOOONNNNNGGGG time ago :)

Hope everyone had a great day!

    ReplyDelete
  12. its snowed a lot today here. Suppose to be really bad tonight and tomorrow. White Christmas might be in order.

Hello Lynn and Sabrina my dahlings!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I know this would never happen (at least not for years) but wouldn't it be cool if Rob made Barbara Walter's list of Most Fascinating People? I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of Barbara but the interviews are always really interesting and I think she'd be quite impressed with our Rob. I certainly find him fascinating.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hello, beautiful Dani! As much as, your snow sounds gorgeus, you can keep all of it! Actually, I don't what is better snow or rain...oh, the debate!

I love the how the banner pic shows the blonde in Rob's beard...I am obsessing...I know!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Eww, Barbara Walters! It would be cool if he made her list, but the woman bugs me.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Emily---I think that being on "The View" is a prerequisite...lol. I would love to see Rob be on Barbara Walter's special, but, something tells that she will be showcasing presidential and Disney stuff. JMHO!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think Babs is a bit overrated. Her list sucked this year that's for sure but she doesn't give a good interview in my personal opinion.

Although it would be nice for Rob to get the coverage ya know?

I'm thinking a nice indepth interview when he is 30 would be great.

Hello Emily love! Didn't mean to leave you out I didn't catch your comment then I saw you. So hello!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Agreed, Sabrina. The woman can be very irritating but the people that end up being recognized by her are always interesting to hear about.
I was just thinking that an interview between the two of them would be hilarious - one of the most annoying voices countered by, quite possibly, the sexiest voice there is.
Oh Lynn, imagine Rob on The View. He'd get torn to shreds!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hey all! Good updates today - I love that everyone is starting to catch on to Rob's gloriousness. Damn straight he's the hottest/most talented/most interesting/most hilarious guy of 2008!!

Emily - I would LOVE it if he was one of Barbara Walters Most Interesting People... even though I can't really stand the woman, you're right in that those interviews are always really really good.

  20. Hi ladies, just popping in before I head to bed, gonna have an early one tonight. Love actually was on TV, it always makes me laugh especially the bit where Hugh Grant dances around to "Jump". I've never been a huge Hugh Grant fan but I like him in this! Made me laugh too when yer man COlin goes to America because the girls will melt when they hear his english accent LOL Three guesses who I thought of!!!LOL

    ReplyDelete
  21. I hope Rob never has to suffer through going on The View. Barbara Walters is irritating on her own, but Elizabeth Hasslebeck annoys the crap out of me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah, The View is a bit outrageous. Honestly, I've only seen it 1-2 times (and that was enough for me!) but those women just come off as ditzy and annoying. I think Rob could hold his own with them, but I think it would be less painful for him if he did the show with Kristen or Nikki or something... they always seem a little more at ease when they are with someone else.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hey Dani and Lyla! I'm just dropping in for a bit before dinner. This shows you how informed I am - I don't have any idea who was on Barbara's list for this year. I could probably guess a few (Lynn is probably right on.) She is impressive for a woman who is almost 80.
Anyway, let's forget about Babs. We know Rob is fascinating, gorgeous, and oh so sexy.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Emily---Rob would be in the fetal postition covering his private parts as Whoopi, Joy, Elisabeth and Barbara took turns asking him really embarassing questions. No, The View would not be a good thing!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Right I'm off to bed ladies. Have a good evening.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kate---I love "Love Actually"! I love the story of the new marrieds and the best friend that is love with the woman....Keira Knightley and Andrew Lincoln are divine together!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi back, Emily!

I just popped in for a quick visit, but I have to get going again! Have a great afternoon and evening, everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Love Actually! Awwwwww perfect holiday movie...must watch soon!

Alright its time for me to cut out for a bath with the babe.

Loves you all and I will be back later.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I will be back later as well! I get to go cackle with all my PTA mates at a Christmas dinner.

    Olive juice!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Bye for now ladies! I'm going to go look up some cookie recipes and make sure I have all of the ingredients.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well. He's on MY list.

    My Christmas List:
My To-DO before I die List:
    My Wish List:
I could go on and on....
Thanks for the beautiful Picture Goz. You made my morning. And I wanted to let everyone know how much I loved the "pathetic comment thread" last night. I was even more pathetic because I was envious of each and every one of them.

    good morning!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hello Tess my love. I have missed thee!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I was always wondering why Rob had not been guested in "The View," although I couldn't imagine how much the four would gang up on him, ha ha ha

Pardon my ignorance, who is "she who shall not be named"? Not that alleged effin buddy mentioned in that Randle account in Facebook? (If this post is offensive, just alert me and I'd take this down.)

    ReplyDelete
  34. tea time no offense! We don't censor here! I'd be scared if he went on the view....crazy Elizabeth Hasselbeck scares the shit out of me. Ohhhhhh and Babs and her judging eyes......let's save Rob from the tongue lashing from those crazy over opinionated thinking their shit don't stink bitches from the view.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hello Sweet D-I've miss you too! You've been hiding (don't know why I'm all of a sudden picturing Isla Fishers' character from wedding crasher)

Rob looks fattening in this photo...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hi Rob gal pals,
I wanted to add to the pathetic list because, I just do.
I am so pathetic to I yelled at my computer screen when I was listening to youtube vids of Rob while he is doing open mic singing and there are people talking while he is singing. And I said in a loud exasperated voice, "HOW IN THE HELL CAN ANYONE EVEN THINK OF TALKING WHEN HE IS SINGING?" and I'm saying this outloud with nobody hearing me.

Also, sorry to do this here, but Kari doesn't have a blog entry.
    Kari,
I love the song "Pieces Don't Fit Anymore" , by James Morrison also! I wanted to let you know the story behind that song in a nutshell that James Morrison has told.
One day he was at home writing songs and his girlfriend came home from work and he said "I wrote you a song."(this was before he became successful) and she said "Why don't you get a real job."
he broke up with her and wrote,
    "Pieces Don't Fit Anymore."
They got back together and had a child together and are now very happy, he seems to love her very much and she has inspired many of his songs.
"You Make It Real" is another she inspired from him. It don't know what it is but "You Make It Real" is another song I adore.

  37. Ahhhhh I have been busy. But after the snow storm here subsides I'm getting my own computer so I don't have to bug my working hub to get off ours.

It is a snowy cold mess here. Serious times, my beautiful coat collection is getting a workout. Rob would be so jealous of my selection.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm jealous of your collection! One of things I miss the most about living in a country with seasons is dressing for winter!! I used to buy a new winter coat every season (and of course the boots, scarves and hats to go with it)... now they just get mouldy..

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ok. I'm having a good laugh about Lynn's earlier comment.

"Rob would be in the fetal postition covering his private parts as Whoopi, Joy, Elisabeth and Barbara took turns asking him really embarassing questions. No, The View would not be a good thing"

  40. Hi, Dani, Tess, and Jov!
Hope everyone's happy and healthy today...:)

Tess, does Singapore have mild weather year round?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi Ellie, Dani, Tess, and Jovie :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good evening to all the Rob lovelies! I have to go make dinner. Catch you chicks on the fly...Tess big muuuuuaaaahhhh kisses to you!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ellie- Yep. Singapore is tropical.. heat and humidity 24/7 (with the more than occasional down pour)

in other words... My hair is frizzy most of the time and it took me 6 months before I could wear jeans or any 'pants' for that matter

    ReplyDelete
  44. Talent- Hello... (I missed your greeting)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sorry that was me.
Lindsey, I've been busy listening to some of your music suggestions.

    ReplyDelete
  46. No worries, Tess---that happens when there's comments to field through. How are you doing this evening?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi Lindsey, Tess and Ellie!

Lindsey, read where you have been listening to Thriving Ivory's 'Angel on the Moon" it's fantastic isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Awesome, Jovie! And...what do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Love the Cosmo kudo for Rob.
    He is so deserving.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love the lines, "Do you dream that the world would know your name, so tell me your name." I cry every time I hear it; it really is a beautiful and touching song. The voice does match anything of what I thought the guy looked like.

    ReplyDelete
  51. So far Lindsey, I like them all.
I'm not a big country fan. But I can take it in doses.
I love the lead singer in Sugarland and her 'Stay' song and how she cries in the vid. That woman knows how to feel a song.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I meant to type *doesn't in my previous post...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yes, Lindsey. And like I told you that song, practically wrote the end of my manuscript.
I couldn't wait to get home and write, it gave me goosebumps. I still also cry during that song.

    ReplyDelete
  54. The Georgia guys are great; they used to be my drinking buddies, and I remember going out with them, and thinking they were all so hot, and so happy that I was the only girl with them, and I was surrounded by four beautiful men ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. I hear ya. So you watched their vid?

    ReplyDelete
  56. That must of been fun. I only know one musician and he's a relative, he plays the drums.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thriving Ivory's vid? Absolutely!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hey, I love the drums, so that's very cool!

    ReplyDelete
  59. In reference to Cosmo kudo for Rob...he is very deserving of it, but I subscribe to the magazine and he wasn't in this months or last month's issue (I don't think?)...

  64. Also, check out The Mint, and listen to their song, Pen to Paper at www.myspace.com/themintonline...they are awesome guys, and I obtained bookings for them, but couldn't arrange a flight for them, but when they go on tour, I'm definitely booking them again.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Why do you feel bad? There was nothing wrong with it...

    ReplyDelete
  66. Talk about the story, if you'd like...I don't mind...

  71. Well, then, I'll quit discussing it...so, how has your week been?

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think it's the songs that do it to me and I look back at what I say and usually regret much of it.

    ReplyDelete
  73. It's been good, very productive.
I feel like today I ran to everything, even in my house.
Put a load of laundry in, run to my car clean it out, run back to the computer write something, run to an errand, load that song, run my dogs, run and slide across the floor to the dryer, etc.
    Yours?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Good evening everyone! Hi to Tess and Talent, I haven't had a chance to post with either of you before.

Jov - I rarely get to log on in the evening and am so glad I did tonight. Thanks for responding to my earlier post and for sharing the scoop on JM! I listened to every song I could find on You Tube this afternoon. I really like him!

I understand your irriation, too, with everyone talking over Rob while he's singing. That's the hard part about open mic stuff, but remember he didn't have any intention of being recorded. I feel so sad for him that he can't do that anymore, or at least not right now.

Rob as hottest guy of 2008...everyone here knew that! It's great to see him being recognized in so many forums. He'll most likely earn that honor again in 2009.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Awww, Rob's number 1 on the Cosmo list ~ very cool. Peter made the list too!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Kari, I responded to you in the new thread.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Kari, so glad you are enjoying JM. I like his bluesy, soulful voice and he's such a sweetie.
