First time I saw Rob was on one of the movie promo posters at a Borders bookstore - the one with most of the Cullens on it. I don't love that picture of him so I wasn't blown away. However, once I saw him in the trailer and then on the Penelope DVD sneak peek, I was hooked.
Good morning, Ladies. I saw this photo the other day on rponlineuk I think. It was late at night and I thought wow. Now even with the unflattering mowhawk, his eyes and lips still pop out. He is so photogenic it's unreal. He certainly can take some not so great photos. I've never been one to think, oh he can never take a bad photo but I'm sure there are more from his family album that are probably simply stunning. His mother could probably make us all go into hyperventilation with some photos.
The Penelope DVD is where I first saw him. I normally skip through the previews but for some reason I watched the Twilight one and it was fate that I saw it because what a journey this Robobsession has become!!!

I'm watching Lifehouse's "First Time" vid right now where the guy kisses her and putting Rob in there. Rob wouldn't be a suave as the guy in the Lifehouse vid but he'd be a lot sexier. But then when Rob turns it on and loses himself in acting, he could be sauve or anything to hell get out. Also, after reading I've decided to try to type slower so I don't have typos. I don't know how guys read my shit.
Betsy - So it was the Penelope DVD that got you started, too? LOL! Yeah, have to admit I played that preview just a "few" times. Haven't done something like that since I was in high school.
What started out as an obsession with a young adult book series (which was embarrassing enough) has morphed into a full-blown obsession with a 22 year-old actor.
So, I will confess. (There is a confessional in this blog, right??) I've seen the movie 4 times - once with a friend at the midnight showing (and our 15 year old daughters will never forgive us for going without them). We went to the bar first. :-) I went the next day and took my daughter and her friends. And...no one in my family knows I've seen it twice since then, both times taking a very long lunch hour at work. I was at the theater yesterday, and as luck would have it, I had a private showing!! Not one other soul in the theater but me. I was in heaven. Last night my daughter asked if I would take her and a friend again on Saturday to see it. How can I refuse her?! Yes, I have a sickness, and it's Rob.
I LOVE the Hello, I'm Edward Cullen line. I love that whole scene. My fav by far is that little snippet in the parking lot when he opens the car door for her wearing the Wayfarers and has that victorious grin on his face, then throws his arm over her shoulders. 15 seconds of pure fun.
Trixie- I almost broke my remote hitting rewind so many times. I can't remember someone having such a hold over me at first sight. He was breathtaking. When he did that little crooked smile and put Kristin on his back I swooned! I immediately got on my computer after the movie and looked up everything to do with Twilight and then Rob and the rest is history.
Kari - I'm so jealous that you had a private showing! I wish I could see it during my lunch hour but if we are gone over an hour it raises eyebrows. Imagine people at work seeing my face after seeing the movie- I'd look like I just had sex lol!
That is my favorite moment too in the parking lot. His grin and the wayfarers are just too much to handle.

When you see the movie multiple times you can disect everything, lol. The only other movie I've ever seen in the theater multiple times is Rocky Horror Picture Show back in college. That was sort of a required collegiate activity back then.
As for Twilight, I especially love the great scenes when the credits roll. CH has a fabulous eye for the cool stuff.
Did you see him on the bike in the Little Asses vid. I almost cried. When the showed his face closer smiling. Whew. He looks so happy when he is with his love as he is conveying and I've pictured us riding bike together many times along the coast and when I saw that I died. So, it doesn't ever end after one movie there is the next, that will feed my mental visuals. The beach stuff is so emotional for me.
My date and I snuck into Twilight after we saw Australia and it was the very end of Twilight during the gazebo when he says "Isn't it enough to spend the rest of our lives together?" or something like that and the kiss on the gazebo after the neck kiss. I thought how appropriate my favorite in the whole movie and this is what I'm walking into. I felt okay sneaking in when it was the end. I was glad my date just was fine with it and that I saw Rob in that scene one more time.
Jovie - I have to admit that I was a little nervous watching him ride the bike. Based on how he is always talking about his lack of coordination, I kept thinking he could wipe-out at any minute!
I should go back and watch it again now that I know he doesn't fall :)
Oh, his face when he's watching her sleep! See, the really cool scenes are much too short. I was thinking yesterday that I wanted a remote so I could rewind, lol. Can't wait for the DVD,
And I never noticed until yesterday in the kissing scene how her shirt is sort of hiked up there when he pushes her backwards. That was actually when the idea of a remote hit me.
Did you read the 318 thread last night we were trying to have a party with Rob, it was hilarious and they keep bringing up designers and childbirth. I gave up on them.lol
We are completely feed full time. I need to put myself on a Rob diet, but the thought scares the hell out of me. He's like heroin, I have never tried heroin, but I do know from teaching smoking cessation that I liken it something to that. Quitting smoking or something.
Trixie I've watch the bike thing I think 25 times now and with each viewing I get more attached. So I had to force myself off of that vid. You can hear him swallow and everything. My fantasizes are so vid with beach stuff that I need to walk with extreme discipline there.
Jov - you are right. The only way I think the obsession would calm down for me is if I stopped feeding it. But I just can't tear myself away. It's hopeless, I guess.
Trixie there is a website that lists some of the planned SF on the Twilight DVD. I think they are going to do a good job with it. CH takes good care of us. She's a sweetheart!!!

Sometimes I ask myself Jovie, are you on crack, you've never been this taken away before. You have a good looking surfer guy very interested and you can't stop blogging and being mesmerized by someone who doesn't even know me. I scares the hell out of me. I have never had a celeb crush before, the closest I came was James Franco and only because he was born in Palo Alto close to where I am and he's really into writing and English and lived in SF. It's all my neck of the woods stuff. But he was always too short for me so I kept it in check I thought that's what a celeb crush was that type of feeling. No biggie just oh interested. This has hit me for a loop. I feel loopy. I need to rein it back or something. I can't even think about Christmas shopping the most I have done was last cyber Monday I got some done on line. I read the other night. I do things I used to but I look at his stuff way, way too much.
Sorry I left for a minute to watch the bike vid. See what I mean? When Little A comes out I will be there prob more than Twilight. I've seen Twilight three times. I had to limit myself. Also, James Franco portrayed James Dean in a bioepic and I have always been fascinated by James Dean, read everything about him, so I attributed a lot of that to him portraying James Dean. He did a hell of a job.

Jovie - the LA premiere would have been insane. There were less than 300 people at AFF so it was almost "cosy"... I would've freaked out at a premiere setting, can't stand that many people.

Jov - I'm in NYC (CT but commute in for work) and debated about going to the event at the Apple store. I ended up going, just because it was only a couple of subway stops from my office. I felt so stupid on my way there, but got over it. I was glad I went even if I didn't get to meet him.

I've been off pop for 4 days now and I feel like a smoker unable to have a cigarette. I told myself it was time to cut out unnecessary calories. Damn...if only i like diet cherry coke.

Same here, Trixie. I discovered the board that shall not be named a few weeks before the KOL thing, then followed Goz and Dani here from day one. This blog is a wonderful safe haven for the Robsessed, for sure. It's funny, too, because regular posters here feel like my friends when they have no clue who I am. Sort of freaky, and I think that's why I gave in. That and the Little Ahes trailer pushed me over the edge; I had to comment when they got posted.

So, I will confess. (There is a confessional in this blog, right??) I've seen the movie 4 times - once with a friend at the midnight showing (and our 15 year old daughters will never forgive us for going without them). We went to the bar first. :-) I went the next day and took my daughter and her friends. And...no one in my family knows I've seen it twice since then, both times taking a very long lunch hour at work. I was at the theater yesterday, and as luck would have it, I had a private showing!! Not one other soul in the theater but me. I was in heaven. Last night my daughter asked if I would take her and a friend again on Saturday to see it. How can I refuse her?! Yes, I have a sickness, and it's Rob.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Hello, I'm Edward Cullen line. I love that whole scene. My fav by far is that little snippet in the parking lot when he opens the car door for her wearing the Wayfarers and has that victorious grin on his face, then throws his arm over her shoulders. 15 seconds of pure fun.
Ellie - I've seen the movie 4 times (picture me cringing as I write this) and defintely want to see it on the big screen again.
ReplyDeleteTrixie- I almost broke my remote hitting rewind so many times. I can't remember someone having such a hold over me at first sight. He was breathtaking. When he did that little crooked smile and put Kristin on his back I swooned! I immediately got on my computer after the movie and looked up everything to do with Twilight and then Rob and the rest is history.

ReplyDeleteWhen you see the movie multiple times you can disect everything, lol. The only other movie I've ever seen in the theater multiple times is Rocky Horror Picture Show back in college. That was sort of a required collegiate activity back then.

I thought how appropriate my favorite in the whole movie and this is what I'm walking into.
I felt okay sneaking in when it was the end.
I was glad my date just was fine with it and that I saw Rob in that scene one more time.
Jovie - I have to admit that I was a little nervous watching him ride the bike. Based on how he is always talking about his lack of coordination, I kept thinking he could wipe-out at any minute!

I have never had a celeb crush before, the closest I came was James Franco and only because he was born in Palo Alto close to where I am and he's really into writing and English and lived in SF. It's all my neck of the woods stuff. But he was always too short for me so I kept it in check I thought that's what a celeb crush was that type of feeling.

This has hit me for a loop. I feel loopy.

I can't even think about Christmas shopping the most I have done was last cyber Monday I got some done on line.

Also, James Franco portrayed James Dean in a bioepic and I have always been fascinated by James Dean, read everything about him, so I attributed a lot of that to him portraying James Dean. He did a hell of a job.
