  2. If his performance in this trailer is any indication of what it is in the full length film, I'm leaving my family and hunting him down ;)

  7. Did we see this before?

    http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1579860695?bctid=2787610001

There are so many interviews and they all look/sound the same. But I don't remember seeing one of him talking about his "beer belly" before. I thought it was pretty funny.

  8. Seriously Dani, it really is WOWZA fantastic looking. I had an OMFG moment when I first saw it. Holy Crap, I cannot get over how amazing Rob's performance looks. Just brilliant.

  9. Tess I know the music and the chemistry between him and Javier and Rob's intensity are all just amazing. I am so on a high right now seeing this, it is just looking to be such an amazing role for him and I see big things coming to Rob for this. I don't think he understands how good people are reviewing his performance and the entire film is getting nothing but great buzz.

Ahhhh Rob is also going to be all but naked, meaning his bits and pieces are the only things we wont see. So....HELLO MR. P.

  10. It makes me want to declaim the Ode to Salvador Dali, mwahahaha!

Oh Salvador Dali, of the olive-colored voice!
I speak of what your person and your paintings tell me.
I do not praise your halting adolescent brush,
but I sing the steady aim of your arrows.

    Estoy loca!

  11. I am so excited to see this movie! It looks amazing! I would really like to see it in the theater, but I doubt that it will be anywhere near here. :o(

Side note - totally off topic. It really bugs me when musicians lipsync.

  12. Ay, dios mio! Yo estoy en amor con Rob ace Salvador Dali. Necesito una ducha fria!

Geez mon, can that be any hotter!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I don't know if we have seen that one Dana I will post it cause its cute and I don't recall seeing it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Mich- where is that from? I've never read that before.

and Ohhhh Dani- I loved watching every moment... even in the dark, you can tell which one Rob is..

    ReplyDelete
  15. If I thought Rob was amazing in Twilight, this blows it out of the water! Even in this short trailer, the depth of his performance is breathtaking. Literally.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Dani---I am enjoying Rob's nekkidness immensely....biting my lower lip!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh Ellie, I know. This performance (however short it is) makes his performance in Twilight seem ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Okay, question... is that Rob at 0:35 who is naked and who smashes the canvas? I can't tell who it's supposed to be because the dude looks bald or something... but I would think it would be Dali since he's next to a canvas? Can you guys tell?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Lyla- I was thinking the same thing... I have no idea..

    ReplyDelete
  20. Oh, and I forgot..

*climbs on bar top* GOOD day to everyone! *waving*

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks Tess - I'm glad I'm not the only one confused by that part :) But gosh, it all looks amazing. I was seriously breathless while watching it.

  22. Tess--is a paragraph from "Oda a Salvador Dali" written by the Lorca, shortly before the end of their relationship.. :)

¡Oh, Salvador Dalí de voz aceitunada!
Digo lo que me dicen tu persona y tus cuadros.
No alabo tu imperfecto pincel adolescente,
pero canto la firme dirección de tus flechas.

  23. I think that was Rob and he was wearing a skull cap cover of some sort like a bathing cap and I spied butt crack but he was wearing pants.

    ReplyDelete
  24. MIch- Thank you for the that.. This line is quite telling.

"I do not praise your halting adolescent brush"

    Unrequited love?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Dani---thank you, Eagle Eyes for your keen observation! I am lovin' this....muahhhhhhhhh!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Who's ever body it is/was is quite defined... so I didn't think it was Rob's.. (how sad is that... but he irresistible to me nonetheless)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Tess...agreed, perhaps a bit too built..hmmm.

I love your unrqequited love comment, too.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Now, thanks to Mich, I'm going to have to go hunt down Ode to Salvador Dali - Lorca

I'm never going to get anything done..

    ReplyDelete
  29. Tess--you can read the entire poem here:

  31. Thank you Mich~ kisses

I just watched the trailer... again... WOW..

    ReplyDelete
  32. Mich---muchas gracias! I do need my practice. Rob/Dali is influencing me to try to learn to write more en Espanol.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Okay, now I want to hear the 14-15 year old female fans' response to LA. I will have to ask my daughter!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks for the explanation, Dani - that totally makes sense.

Also, regarding that guys body looking too built for Rob... I remember reading people's reviews from some European LA screenings, and I remember people saying that there was "more to Rob" than they expected. Like he wasn't as skin-and-bones in the naked shots as everyone thought he would be. Hmmm what a lovely thing to ponder...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lyla---oh no, I am expecting sinewy, long and toned in all the right parts. I'm sure that Rob's form is so much more then anyone would expect!

    ReplyDelete
  36. That was beautiful... The Rose.. metaphor for relationship?

'But above all I sing a common thought
that joins us in the dark and golden hours.
The light that blinds our eyes is not art.
Rather it is love, friendship, crossed swords.'

    ReplyDelete
  37. Lynn- maybe some "moms" might picket?

    ha ha

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lynn - Totally. Long, lean, sinewy goodness is what I am thinking, with a dash of cute little buns like Dani said :)

    March cannot come soon enough!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Tess---especially in the land of "yes on prop 8", there will be some haters. I can wait to yell at them and give 'em a piece of my mind!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Tess--it's a beautiful poem, right? pure love.

I know a bit about Dalí 'cause one of my best friends is a painter and her fave painter is Dalí, and I must say that every scene, every gesture, every expression of Rob in the trailer, all he shows is from Dalí. And Javier Beltrán is brilliant as Lorca!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Lyla---totally, squeezable like Charmin and hot like the wasabi sunflower seeds I'm eating!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Mich---I read the version in English...yikes, that is passion and love at it's best.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lynn - wonderful descriptions, m' dear! Squeezable yet hot is right.

Okay, I must go fix dinner, but I'm sure I will be back later for some more good old Rob lovin :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. The poem is a pure reflection of Lorca's feelings. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I thought the actress who plays Dali's wife looked shockingly like Gala! I had to replay that part.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Can I breath now? This is going to be how the rest of my movie going life is going to be? Anxiously awaiting every damn thing Mr. RP does?

Crap, holy crap. That man is so talented and just freaking gorgeous! Nice...the beach scene.

Lynn, do you want some help out in CA against the Yes to Prop 8 people? Sign me up!

  46. I know Jules. How can one person be so captivating?

    ReplyDelete
  47. OHGOD OH GOD OH GOD!!! I LOVED IT!
THE ACCENT, THE FACE, MAN HE RULED THE CRAZY FACE :|

CAN'T IT BE MARCH ALREADY¡?!!?!? PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE?!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Wow. I can't say much more, I am speechless. Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Jules---LOL you know it! I'm waititng to hear all the lawsuits that will arise, it will get uglier before anything is set in stone.

    ReplyDelete
  50. He is going to be stellar! The man's star is shining so brightly!

I'm so excited and scared for him at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Lynn, that whole thing was just CRAP! Why can't gay people be just as miserable as the rest of us?

    ReplyDelete
  52. I know Jules, it is absurd and utterly cruel to make someone's act of love illegal. I was just disgusted how CA's prop became every other state's mission of mayhem.

I just hope with Rob's role as Dali that the general public will see his brilliance and just a "gay" artist part. It's a shame how far you think that ppl have evolved but they still step back on the simplest of things...true love!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Lynn, it really was the Mormon church that made it happen. They actively pursued California. It's really amazing how they became involved, but thankfully there is an attorney I heard on KGO that is really fighting it.
This is not the end of it

    ReplyDelete
  54. Basically also I think it's that a lot of people don't understand the importance of the difference of civil union and marriage laws.
They think gays are covered under civil union laws and they aren't.
I think there just needs to be more compasssion in the world

    ReplyDelete
  55. Jov---yes, the Mormons had a lot to do with it, but, there were lots of temples that refused to fund the effort. There was a huge rally at Qualcomm Stadium and over 25 states were respresented....every third vehicle was said to be out of state. So, really it was a multi-state thing!

And, no! it's certainly not over.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I did a lot of research on this subject because my next book has a cumulating ending on this issue

    ReplyDelete
  57. The Mormon church is a very powerful union

    ReplyDelete
  58. I refuse to say anything bad about the Mormon church because it is wonderful in it's own right but it has more power sometimes than people realize

    ReplyDelete
  59. sorry didn't mean to take the topic off of Rob

    ReplyDelete
  60. COMPASSION. I just think that is the word to remember always. It really is what is needed to make the world go round

    ReplyDelete
  61. oh snap! who's naked back was that? LOL... this movie is going to be interesting... lol
