Dani - I totally understand what you're saying. My daughter just turned two and I'm about two months along with our second now. I felt like it was the right time to have another but it's scary. Sometimes I feel like I can barely manage one. Plus, I forgot what morning sickness was like. Ugh...I just want to lay around all day but my toddler doesn't seem okay with that. :) Plus, Lynn got me thinking that the trend of babies getting bigger with each birth is pretty common. My first was 9 1/2 pounds. I'm not sure I can manage anything bigger.
And Kathryn - Let me know if you run across that number, will you?

Emily- congrats. My son just turned two at the end of October and my daugter is a little over 3 months so I know exactly what you are talking about. My kiddies are a handful, but I love that they will grow up so close in age.
Dani- Good luck with your pregnancy plans. I was a little scared to think about adding another child to our family as well, but all those fears went out the window when I had my first ultrasound.
Emily---my children are the exception to the rule! My uterus must be a killer habitat or something....I mention sometimes to my husband that I could make a killing off of surrogate motherhood. Never be afraid to have more children...they are a blessing!
Congratulations, Emily on your baby in the oven. I bet the baby loves it there. Do you think Rob was breastfeed? Because I had a dream I asked him and he blushed like crazy and I said "Yes." after he recovered from shock and I said that's one of the reasons why you're so smart. Then I asked him if he wanted a drink and he did one of his looks and he said. "From You?" and I said "NO!" I meant buy you a drink. And he laughed one of his great laughs.
Em I really want another one but thinking about what I went through is tough. Not the birth I mean afterwards. My birth of Hay was easy as pie. 2 1/2 hours. He flew out of there.
Got to the hospital 8cm dialated no pain. Then the pain came but epidural was bliss.
Ahhhhhhhh life decisions are tough. I have to make a choice about timing. Weighing a little on me.
Dani---you read my mind...Rob would look hot in Guess. I went to the Hollywood Guess store and fell in love with almost everything in there. Rob could model it all for me!
It took me until my first one was 2 before I could even think of having another...and then I worried about how I could love anyone else as much as I loved him...but I do. I love my boys differently, but the same. If that makes sense.
Stella---I'm sure that Marc Jacobs had great intentions with said tiny suit. It was really modtastic...I kept imagining Rob taking off on a Vespa. Tight can be good!
Em---Congrats, lovely! Going from one to two is tough but fun! And, if you are real brave, going from two to three is a cake walk!

And onto Rob... yes to Guess. No to being breastfed - the only reason I say that Jovie is because it's only just coming back "in style" over there. When I took my daughter to visit my family when she was six months old people were freaked out that we were breastfeeding still. So odd. It's been outta style for some time...

Thanks everyone for the congrats! Yeah, not so much fun right now but hopefully this phase will be over soon. I know what you mean, Dana. With my daughter, I pushed for 3 1/2 hours. They had to use forceps and have another doctor bracing himself against the bed, pushing on my stomach to get her out. But, at the risk of sounding very sappy, as soon as they laid her on my I knew I would do it all again. Just not anytime soon. :) And I totally agree, Dani. when they send you home with your baby and say, "Okay, here you go. Good luck and no, they don't come with an instruction manual. Don't screw up!" That's the scary part.
I wish I knew more about designers but I'm going to trust your judgements. What wouldn't Rob look good in? I dare say there isn't one scrap of clothing he could put on that he wouldn't rock.
Next designers for Rob. Prada, Valentino, Jil Sander, Alexander McQueen and one my personal faves Jean Paul Gaultier.
Attention to these designers send your goods Robs way. Some of the best in menswear. And again I will measure his inseam personally to ensure a proper fit.

Emily- I was telling the girls last night that both my babies had to be vacuumed out because my pelvis is small. And I had to be on oxygen and keep turning over because they kept getting stressed during labor.

ReplyDeleteDani - I totally understand what you're saying. My daughter just turned two and I'm about two months along with our second now. I felt like it was the right time to have another but it's scary. Sometimes I feel like I can barely manage one. Plus, I forgot what morning sickness was like. Ugh...I just want to lay around all day but my toddler doesn't seem okay with that. :) Plus, Lynn got me thinking that the trend of babies getting bigger with each birth is pretty common. My first was 9 1/2 pounds. I'm not sure I can manage anything bigger.
And Kathryn - Let me know if you run across that number, will you?

Emily- congrats. My son just turned two at the end of October and my daugter is a little over 3 months so I know exactly what you are talking about. My kiddies are a handful, but I love that they will grow up so close in age.

Emily---my children are the exception to the rule! My uterus must be a killer habitat or something....I mention sometimes to my husband that I could make a killing off of surrogate motherhood. Never be afraid to have more children...they are a blessing!

Because I had a dream I asked him and he blushed like crazy and I said "Yes." after he recovered from shock and I said that's one of the reasons why you're so smart.
Then I asked him if he wanted a drink and he did one of his looks
and he said. "From You?"
and I said "NO!" I meant buy you a drink. And he laughed one of his great laughs.
Em I really want another one but thinking about what I went through is tough. Not the birth I mean afterwards. My birth of Hay was easy as pie. 2 1/2 hours. He flew out of there.

Ahhhhhhhh life decisions are tough. I have to make a choice about timing. Weighing a little on me.

When I took my daughter to visit my family when she was six months old people were freaked out that we were breastfeeding still. So odd. It's been outta style for some time...

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Dana. With my daughter, I pushed for 3 1/2 hours. They had to use forceps and have another doctor bracing himself against the bed, pushing on my stomach to get her out. But, at the risk of sounding very sappy, as soon as they laid her on my I knew I would do it all again. Just not anytime soon. :) And I totally agree, Dani. when they send you home with your baby and say, "Okay, here you go. Good luck and no, they don't come with an instruction manual. Don't screw up!" That's the scary part.
I wish I knew more about designers but I'm going to trust your judgements. What wouldn't Rob look good in? I dare say there isn't one scrap of clothing he could put on that he wouldn't rock.
After he's taken a look at my saggy "used" boobies he'll be dying to get his hands on Jovies! :-)

ReplyDeleteEmily- I was telling the girls last night that both my babies had to be vacuumed out because my pelvis is small. And I had to be on oxygen and keep turning over because they kept getting stressed during labor.
My fantasy ended at him laughing and us having a drink together.
