Would you pay for a date with Rob?

Yahoo OMG! has a poll where they ask " Fans recently bid $12,000 for a date with Anne Hathaway. Which of these hotties would you pay $1,000 to go out on the town with?"

Rob is leading at the moment. You can vote here. (Gozde: I have to admit I voted for Brad Pitt. I mean it's Bradley friggin' Pitt!:)) But if I had the money I would definitely pay to go out on a date with Rob, I have no integrity when it comes to Rob :P)

  1. Hell Yes! I'm six months older than dirt...I deserve a little schmexy, beanie wearing, hair raking, Ray Ban wearing, second hand shop clothed, hair that washes itself (but he smells good!), bromantic, date with a guitar/piano playing actor who is half my age! Enough said!

  2. Jules--I'll go half with you; do you share??

  3. The makers of Twilight, Summit Entertainment, has reportedly offered the sequel director job to Chris Weitz.

In addition to directing About a Boy, Weitz was also one of the producers of American Pie.

Hollywood insiders say Weitz scored the big job because he's super good friends with Summit's president of production, Eric Feig.

It's nice to have friends in high places!

Summit also reportedly liked the job he did directing The Golden Compass, that Nicole Kidman film no one saw.

    Thoughts?

  4. See, I was kinda hoping that maybe Mike Newell would have been a suggestion. He did a fantastic job with "Love in the time of Cholera", "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "Love Actually" and one of our faves "HP and the Goblet of Fire"!

Rob working with Newell again could have been a good thing. Still... with this being basically a Jacob driven movie... hard to say....

  5. Hey anon! We discussed this in the "Rob is back in LA" thread :))

I'm hopeful. I love "About a boy" and although Golden compass sucked ass the special effects were awesome. I'm glad Summit realized how shitty the special effects were for Twilight.

    so yeah, hopeful here :)

  6. Jules do you mean Alan Rickman? You can't mean Mike Newell :-))

  7. Brad Pitt was the shit until Rob came along and stole my adoration.. pff.. hard choice. Oh, what the hell, I voted Rob!

    But I don't have the money :(

    ReplyDelete
  8. In all honesty, yes I cast a vote for Rob, but in reality no I wouldn't pay for a date with him, it would be no different than hiring an escort out of a paper. I'd want him to go because he wanted to have fun, not to get paid.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Well Mona, I am assuming it's for a charity not for him to NOT buy new clothes :-) So he'd wanna go, I mean he can sit through a dinner while I drool on my plate for 12K :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. I would love Chris Weitz to take a shot at NM. It could be a lot worse on the choice that is for sure, at least he can do special effects.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Damn, being a student sucks. There is no way I would be able to afford it.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The biggest flow in Twilight was the special effects, I made a friend go with me and I was embarrassed! He pretty much came to hear me squeak like a little girl so he was happy :)

  13. Dani, do you have FB love? Add me!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Making Edward fly was the cheesiest thing ever. He can't even fly! They should have made it look like he was jumping down to a lower spot on another tree.

    ReplyDelete
  15. oh I know what you mean but that is my point, he would be going for the charity etc. I'd rather he just called me up and said hey lets hit the pub.

    ReplyDelete
  16. you too Sabrizzle, add me on FB :)
And yeah the flying, the running, almost everything except the baseball scene which was short anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree with you Mona, even if he was totally cool about it I would feel like the only reason he was there was because I paid for him to be there.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Himm Mona newsflash: never gonna happen, lol :-)) I am willing to pay, I don't care, as I said I have no integrity when it comes to Rob :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sorry Sabrizzle, yes I'm still here. Surfer guy called after he got home from our date to say goodnight when he already said goodnight.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I do have FB and I will add you.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Where the heck did Lynn disappear?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Goz, I just sent you a friend request!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm glad you're still hear Jov! Surfer guy seems really sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Goz I searched your e-mail on there and it couldn't find you in FB...???? under another e-mail?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I am sorry, but I WOULD NEVER pay to have a date with Rob.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Goz read your e-mail I have no idea what you meant by your last one to me...Im confused...*goes to look back at thread*.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dani, you sent it to the wrong email :) anyhoo, I found you :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I paid $50 to be on Ryan Villopoto's bowling team at this motocross bowling thing for charity and it was one of the most awkward things ever.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Good I still don't have a clue what you were talking about in your email.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I sent you another email babes.

Okay so I'm the only whore that would pay Rob to sit through a dinner with me. That's fine :-)) Your loss :P

    ReplyDelete
  31. Just to put my two cents in, it appears they might want a director with more special effects experience.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oops sorry, Jules and Ellie will go in with me! Yay!

    ReplyDelete
  33. lmao Goz.
Sorry I would loan you money thou if you need it babe.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm really glad they are looking for someone who has special effects skills. I love CH but I was really worried about how she would pull off the werewolves.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Don't think I'm too noble thou Goz, I am not beneath being a little manipulative and like maybe if I was walking behind him and he walked into a building or pub or something I might try to manuever where we ran into each other. Like I accidently bump into him or I throw something at him or something. I would have to think on my feet pretty fast and I would.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think CH's vision of Werewolves would be shopping at party city for the costumes :-) sorry that was mean, I love her, I love her spirit and spunk. and I loved Thirteen :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Dani, in case you were wondering who Sabrina was, I just sent you a friend request on facebook as well.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jules what happened to you, did you end up going to bed?

    ReplyDelete
  39. LOL Goz, I think that's what it would have ended up looking like.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes Goz, I would think of SOMETHING if he was that close, maybe even trip him. Sing to him. Say I'm your songbird, whatever it takes.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hey you are talking about tripping him, at least I'm paying him to buy tons of plead shirts for the kids :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. LOL, Goz, I know I love CH also, but it's not the end of the world.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I might be a cougar for Rob but it's all for charity :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. I know I could do "the dance" with him. You know when you are with a guy and you move one way and the move your way and you move so they can go by and you both think the same thing at the same time?
    I always say to them
"Oh so you want to dance?"
And they always smile and say something.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would much rather meet him randomly somewhere and start a conversation than pay to go out with him. I think he would be a lot more comfortable with that as well.

    ReplyDelete
  46. lol, Goz
I think I would say hey remember the sign guy from Australia
    Free Hugs
    Okay, have a heart.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Goz okay I sent you an e-mail back.

My two cents I wouldn't pay to go on a date with Rob. That whole auctioning off a man or lady is a little creeper style for me.

However you really just have to stalk the poor guy and he will invite you out for a meal free of charge.

    ReplyDelete
  48. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Then I'd invite him out for a drink or something.
He'd say she looks like my sisters but she's nutty as hell.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Himm Jov, I think that "line" is a little bit old :-)) I doubt rob would fall for it :P

    ReplyDelete
  51. Then he'd say ya "I love them a bit nuts."

    ReplyDelete
  52. You're right Goz.
I'll have to have something better prepared.
I think the throwing something at him is better.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hahahaha, Jov, I don't think assaulting him is the best idea. You don't want him to call bodyguard Dean to haul you off before you get a chance to talk to him.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hey mine is better then his
"I just got out of prison"

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ladies, I think I'm going to take a bath and read.
I hope you all have a good nite, I'm going to go unwind.

  58. Nite Goz and Sabrizzle.
I went to see the site before I logged off.
    Hugh Jackman is on there.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Are you talking about the site where you vote for the date with Rob?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Goz, take good care of yourself and I'll be thinking of you.

And Sabrizzle hope your finals go really well.
At least banned book is an interesting subject.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yes,
Hugh Jackman was on the list.

    ReplyDelete
  62. GOZ, YOU SAID A ONE WORD POST!!!
    Cyber spanks to you, sweetie.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thanks Jov. Go and unwind and don't think about Rob :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hi lovely ladies.

Looks like everybody's gone to bed.

Haven't had time to read all the comments but I just wanted to say..

Hi Goz--I wanted to wish you all the best for your trip, I didn't realise you were leaving the US.
I had a lot of Turkish friends when I was younger and we have great Turkish restaurants in the State that I live in. I love Turkish food.

    xxoo

    ReplyDelete
  65. Thanks Jov, I'll let you know how it goes. I hope you have an excellent day tomorrow and enjoy your bath.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Haha, all right, I stand spanked :P

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sorry I should of been more detailed.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yeah Jov, that comment was very random out of context.

    ReplyDelete
  69. LOL, Goz
And Sabrizzle thank you. You also.
    And Aussierobfan, hi, waves,
I'm going thou, I am going to take a bath for my tired muscles.
    Nite everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Hi Kaye! Welcome back :-)) Thank you so much! I'm leaving on sunday. I missed Turkey so much! Haven't seen my dad in 2 years, my little niece doesn't even know me :((

I can't wait to get back home. First thing we do after I land is to go to a good restaurant and have lots of yummy Turkish food!

You should come visit me!I'm an excellent tour guide and Istanbul is so beautiful :-)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Sometimes when I don't use enough words I think of that statement by SM, where she said it's so clear to her because it's in her head.
I worry about that with my writing on my manuscripts.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm sure your manuscripts are great Jov. Don't worry, it's late so being vague is excusable.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Nite Jovie enjoy your bath...we can't have them here at the moment we have severe water restrictions because of the drought.

Goz--my husband and I so badly want to go to Istanbul one day.
So sad that you haven't seen your dad for so long. Your niece will love you like she's known you her whole life - kids are like that.

  74. This is the view from my undergrad university in Istanbul:

    ReplyDelete
  75. You're a sweetheart, Sabrizzle.
It's amazing we all even can form words this late, isn't it.

    You're right on that Kaye.
    Nite all.
    Jov

    ReplyDelete
  76. Goz that is breath taking. What's the weather like there?

    ReplyDelete
  77. I hope so Kaye, I bought her so many gifts. Himm, I guess I have a pattern, I am willing to pay Rob and I am buying my niece gifts, lol :))

It's all out of love. I love my niece so much! She was born here in US and I was the one cutting her cord. I haven't seen her since.

    Okay sob story over :-))

    ReplyDelete
  78. Seriously Goz after a few weeks back home she'll love you like you were never separated.

I have been studying Biochemistry this year and I was thinking of you when you were doing your Phd (I know I spelt it wrong!)

    ReplyDelete
  79. We have 3 months of all seasons. It is pretty distinctive, not like here in ATL where we have LONG fall and spring, short winter. In december it's around 40-50 fahrenheit in Istanbul :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. It snows in Istanbul but not too bad :)

And biochemistry is HARD. Seriously, it took me 7 years to get my damn Ph.D. :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Wow consistent weather! Melbourne where I live is notorious for having four seasons in day. We never know what we're getting the forecast can be really wrong because it's so unpredictable.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm studying to be a Naturopath so I only have one more year of Biochem - but I have the BEST lecturer.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I so want to see Australia! Why is it so far away? :(( One of my friends did his exchange student thing in Melbourne and he loved loved loved it!

    ReplyDelete
  84. The same thing happens in Western Washington. I don't have much faith in the forecasts because it is frequently wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Wow, naturopath? That is very exciting! So you believe nature will heal any disease?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Europeans love Melbourne because it is so multi cultural. I grew up with Turkish, Greek, Italian, Chinese and Egyptian friends...and got to eat all their food!

    ReplyDelete
  87. where in Washington are you Sabrina? (is it okay to call you by your name?)

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hey, all! I was out shopping....so how is everyone?

    ReplyDelete
  89. THAT is some good food! Greek food = Turkish food :-) we even have the same names. I love Italian and chinese too! I've been overdosing on Sushi for the past week. It is so expensive in Turkey!

    ReplyDelete
  90. We are good Lynn :) We came to the conclusion that I am a pathetic human being who would pay to be loved (boohoo!) lol

    ReplyDelete
  91. Yes, you can call me Sabrina Goz. I'm from Tacoma, which is about a 45 minute drive south of Seattle. It's the second biggest city in Western Washington, if not the entire state (I don't remember if Spokane is bigger). I'm going to school down by Anaheim, CA.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Goz--I love the idea of conventional and alternative practitioners working together to heal a person. I don't believe Nature can heal disease but I don't believe science can either.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Goz---lol...you are not pathetic...just willing to take one for the team! So, when are you off to the motherland?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hey Lynn! Did you find anything good at the stores?

    ReplyDelete
  95. correction - I don't believe Nature can heal ANY disease.

    Goz--you are never pathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I've heard of Tacoma :) One of my favorite movies is Sleepless in Seattle. I always wanted to visit. I have visited every state on the east coast but unfortunately on the west coast it is limited to Los Angeles, San Diego and everthing in between.

    Maybe someday :)

    ReplyDelete
  97. LYNN!!! You're back. Good times. Although I am going to go to bed soon I am glad you are here.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hi, everyone else!

Yes, I got a killer deal on Guitar Hero Deluxe for the Wii and some clothes for the kids.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I hope you will be able to visit, it's beautiful. And while you're up there you could maybe make a trip to Port Angeles and Forks.

    ReplyDelete
  100. DANI!! Jumping up and down and waving! I missed you, too!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I'm glad you got some steals! I need to do some Christmas shopping when I get home.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sabrina---I have been wanting to visit the PNW more and more...I have never been north of Grants Pass. I love the forests and the redwoods!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm leaving on Sunday afternoon, I still can't believe it. It's so weird, this is the place I made my home for the past 7.5 years. It's going to be rough.

Kaye: You know I'm a scientist so it's good to hear you are not one of the nature nuts :)) I agree, nature and science (which has its roots in nature) is the best way to go.

Dani: I'm jealous. Lynn shows up and you are back.

Sabrina: I donated to the Forks High School fund :) That little town has a special place in my heart.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Oh about the shopping! Yesterday I shopped my ass off! I went to the mall at 12PM and was out at 9PM!I found great deals! I got nine west shoes for $19!!! and a leather coach bag for $70!!!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Hi Dani and hi Sabrina (love that name).

I now have to go and feed my family.

    Nite all....

    ReplyDelete
  106. I strongly suggest going to Port Angeles, it's a really cute town. I was there about 2 weeks before I read the Twilight series, which was really cool because I could picture exactly what it looked like. I even went in the crappy department store they go prom dress shopping in and trust me, it looks nothing like the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Goz---wow, I envy your tenacity and fearlessness...you have moved around the world for your education and now you're doing it again. I wish that I had done it when I had the chance...dh had the opportunity to take me and Audrey to Sicily...I chickened out!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Goz, I envy the fact that you spent so much hours in a mall.

Lynn, Guitar Hero? Damn, I want one of those. It would make my days so much better.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Bye, Kaye! I love how we are all on different time schedules...it's trippy!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Thanks babes :-)

Lynn: The first 3 months was hell. I HATED Atlanta with a passion, I cried every day/night. Istanbul is so alive and Atlanta is SO dead. I wasn't used to people NOT walking on the street, doing everything with a car (why do you need a drive through pharmacy or Laundry? Take your ass out of the car and go in!). Then I got used to it.

I bet you would have loved Sicilly! I love Italian people :)

    ReplyDelete
  111. I really want to travel outside of the US. The only other country I've been to is Canada, and British Columbia is so much like Washington that it doesn't really count.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Stella-D---hey, lovely! We have the Wii for almost a year and we rarely add new games...this going to be a treat for the whole family.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Hello again, sorry baby keeps waking up!

    ReplyDelete
  114. I have never ever had any kind of Nintendo player. I remember when I was 5, my uncle tried to give me one, but I said I didn't want it because it was going to make me dumb. My brother who was 19 then hated me so much because I did that.

But I would love to have a Wii. Guitar Hero is the only kind of game I can play, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Goz---I'm sure that the first months are always the hardest...and Americans are some lazy things.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Stella---I only play the Wii sports and have become a pro at tennis and bowling...you can get quite the workout. The kids laugh at me because I bounce around like a dork when I play.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I've never been good at video games, but I used to watch my brother play super mario bros for hours on end. I loved watching him play. I don't know why...but it was awesome.

My hub isn't a video game guy, he plays a few computer games. I am more of a board game interactive person, playing a game I can yell at you in.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I hardly ever play video games. I do spend a lot of time playing hearts and spider solitare on my computer while I'm listening to music, though.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Okay I posted a piece from Extra. Did we post it before? If not move onto the next thread :)

    ReplyDelete
  120. Believe me. the vid games end with Wii sports, I would take Scrabble any day. But, Guitar Hero will be the new favorite!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Okay I just saw an interview with Billy Burke and he had some really nice things to say about K Stew and Rob, but the best part is that when he first met K Stew it was on a plane to Portland, and he came up behind her and leaned in and said "Hey I'm your dad"...HAHAHA...oh God so funny, he said she was a little creeped out about it but it was funny too.

    I kinda love this guy.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I have always thought it was really interesting to see other people play.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Lynn: My favourite is pro tennis! My arm hurts like hell the next day tho! It really is quite a workout :)

    ReplyDelete
  124. Goz--I have played the tennis pro like that...I feel all buff...dorky, I know!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Lynn, dude, me and my friend got so into it one day she actually hit me with the joystick while trying to hit a ball and I got a major bruise, albeit I bruise easily :) I run around like it's a real tennis court, LMAO!

I love the bowling because it's easy! I suck at real bowling but at Wii, I am quite good :)

    ReplyDelete
