The Haunted Airman Trailer
Adapted from Dennis Wheatley's novel The Haunting of Toby Jugg, this is the chilling tale of a troubled young man who returns from the war only to face new terrors.
Flight Lieutenant Jugg (Pattinson), confined to a wheelchair after being wounded in action, arrives at a remote mansion in Wales to recuperate. Suffering terrible nightmares and visions, he suspects the methods of his psychiatrist, Dr Hal Burns. His beautiful aunt, Julia, seems to be the only person he can trust - until circumstances make him doubt even her intentions.
The drama was written, produced and directed by Chris Durlacher, whose previous credits include Kenneth Tynan: In Praise of Hardcore and George Orwell: A Life in Pictures.
The Haunted Airman stars Julian Sands (Warlock, A Room With A View), Rachael Stirling, Robert Pattinson (Twilight, Harry Potter) and is out on DVD on April 6th through Revolver Entertainment.

ReplyDeleteI've heard that this film strayed unnecessarily from the book and was a disappointment to the die-hard Toby fans. Never any criticism of Rob though. I'm so excited that his work is getting more exposure - and we are getting to see more of Rob. Oh he's breathtaking!

i actually ended up watching Haunted Airman on Youtube..and it may have been the bad picture resolution, the not so great sound etc...but in all honesty, despite Robert being in it...it wasn't that good..I dare you to find a scene where Robert's character is not smoking or lighting up...

ReplyDeleteI don't know much about Lorca. But the films does seem almost like it will be a tribute to these people. The Spanish Foundation that protects Dali's rights seem very critical and obviously scrutinized the film. From what we've seen it seems to portray them both in a very sympathetic light. I've never been THIS interested in a homosexual love story. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the fact that I want to see Rob show his acting chops BUT it has something to do with what seems to be a beautiful love story from unconventional theme by filmaking standards.

However, it does look like a beautiful and complicated love story which takes place in a stunning country during a tragic period. Homosexual or not; doesn't matter. Why would i not want to see it?
