I don't know how girls could miss Rob & Bobby. Both are so charming, humble and handsome. Why can't I meet that kind of guy? It makes me sad, maybe I should go to London...
I'm glad for Bobby and cannot wait to see him in LA next month.
I think it is pretty clear that music is the driver for his friends Bobby, Sam and Marcus the way acting is for Rob. If Rob were to pursue a record now, it would remove the spotlight from his pals to him and that would hurt their careers.
Rob has plenty of fame and is a very wise friend. Of course he is musically talented, but his friendships and pals' careers are clearly what is important to him.
I think Rob is an old soul who is happy to share the wealth. Win win for everyone. BRAVO!
Why does she say "Rob and Bobby went to college together"? That's not true. First of Rob didn't go to college. Second, he didn't go to high school with Bobby either. He did go to high school with Sam and Marcus. And he met Bobby through Marcus. Same with Tom Sturridge, Rob went to school with Tom's sister Mattie and that's how he met Tom. Tom went to a different school.
I love his voice. Their sound is just amazing. I love the guitar and the singing. Just raw and real. I am glad their music is being heard. I love the two tracks from "Twilight" they did.
Rob does seem like an old soul, Chicago girl...he may be the type that values friendships and relationships deeply and is loyal to his good friends and family. Loyalty is an awesome trait to have in a friend.
That sweatshirt Bobby is wearing looks an AWFUL lot like the one Rob wears in How to Be. It would be priceless if it were the same shirt! Even if it's not, I prefer to think that it is :).
Anon ~ Tom went to Winchester College in Hampshire. Rob went to Harrodian School. I think he was still in the Sixth Term when they were filming but I'm not sure.
The gene pool of Rob & his friends is impeccable. Looks, talent, charm, etc.... I so wanna go see Bobby in Nashville. Why can it not be a weekend gig?

Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI'm so stalking that tour bus.
If he would just give up the damned venue, lol, I could start planning!

I agree about Rob & his friends - what wonderful men. Can we import some more British boys like these into the U.S.?? ASAP?

ReplyDeleteAnon~I knew that was wrong--that Rob hasn't gone to college-- but you knew all of the details...thanks so much for spelling them out! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'd like two orders of that please.
ReplyDeleteYumminess.
It's weird... they have the same facial expressions and they speak the same and say things with the same annunciation (i think that's a word)
ReplyDeleteYou can tell they've spent a lot of time together. They sing similarly too.
Don't the British call college "university"? I wonder if "college" to them is high school? whatever.
ReplyDeleteMy grandparents were from London. Really wishing they stayed and reproduced there. Huh? Strangely put, if i say so myself. (?)
I'm a tired girl tonight. Forgive me.

LLR&B (Ladies Love Rob & Bobby)
Anon~ that's the first thing I thought as well when I saw him. I think it's very likely that it is the same one. Remember the "alife" shirt?
ReplyDelete"That's my t-shirt." Loved when he said that in the dvd commentaries. Made me wonder if he wears any of his own clothes in Little Ashes as well..?
Bobby has a really nice voice. :)
He seems like a really nice guy. And plays good music! damn, it's like I can totally see him and Rob hanging out :)
ReplyDeleteI love his attitude. It's very similar to Rob's :) Like he wanna do music and so on, but don't really wanna be famous.
Anon at 8.42pm, I was going to ask about them meeting at college so thanks for clearing that up.
ReplyDeleteAnd for all the extra info -- it is much appreciated.
Was Rob at HS when he filmed GoF? And - do you know where TomStu went to school please?
