I enjoyed chatting with you last night, and have removed my invisibility cloak. :) ————————^
This layout could have been much steamier, but the treatment is a bit comical. The photo in the lower right corner looks as if RP were just snapped, somewhere, with a mousetrap.
Lets hope that after its cinema release, it gets more attention for the beautiful direction and story than the fact that the character Rob plays is 'gay'.
the rumour mill will go crazy now. all the rags, gossip sites will be having a field day cause of this release.(specially with him still appearing/being single)no planned damage control from Summit eh? lol
This is a stupid mag. it's just playing up the "GAY" thing just to sell magazines.
Avery: Confused about something they are filming Volturi scenes in Canada but what will they be filming in Italy??? And I wonder who is actually going up there???
Heat is not exactly a magazine containing serious journalism. Their usual articles have topics like "Celebrity Orange-o-Meter" (photos of fake-tanned celebrities and giving them orange points for their level of orange-ness). At least this promotes the film!
ana73, (big hug) I think they are filming the indoor stuff in Canada and the clock tower stuff in Italy. I think I saw this news on newmoonmovie.org ot the cullenboys (something blog).
ok, I am kinda peeved with all this "hot air" publicity with catch words like Robert, Gay, Naked......just to sell magazines. And meanwhile, from someone who has seen the movie Little Ashes, this is so NOT what the essence of that movie was about, it reduces someone's vision about their reported love affair amidst political turmoil into tabloid fluff. While I think it is great that Rob's newfound Hollywood fame has basically allowed this movie to rise from the dead, why is there always a trade-off? Sigh......sorry, my rant for the day.
Leanne, I agree. I hate that in a lot of the media, the beauty of the movie, along with the strength of the performances will get pushed aside for dumb speculation as to whether or not Rob is gay. Did that happen with Heath in Brokeback? I can't remember. I know he wasn't single at the time, but hey, rob is supposed to be a ladies man, according to the rag, so maybe that will actually work in his favor for once!
Just finished reading last night's comments. I'm always with DH from 7:30 pm Pacific time and miss out! :( You all were on a roll!
Avery~Are you still promoting this gossip? C'mon!
Hello~Mrs. Robinsane, where are you located?
I'm soooo looking forward to seeing "Little Ashes" Saturday, 10:30 am showing... I'm reading books on Dali in preparation. Still behind though because I'm online too much...you all know the conundrum.
Lol, I was just about to send you these pictures! I bought this magazine today, for the sole purpose of having the picture of them together.
But don't worry guys. This magazine is sort of making fun of it itself. Well I'm thinking so anyway. As abit later on they have another Little Ashes article(miniscule one) and the writing is very comical and blunt. Though they did give it 3 stars, deserves more I think...
nice way to cheapen what seems to be a heartfelt, artistic movie. Like we've never seen two ACTORS kissing before? I'm much more interested in the "Skinny is over" article at this point...
I really don't get why there's so much hype about homosexuality, whether in movies or life in general. And from what I've seen of Little Ashes, the focus should really be on the beauty of the story and how the actors play that story out.
I can't wait to see it this summer - Rob with all his intensity and vulnerability...sigh...
I would love to see Little Ashes, but it is not scheduled to play in my vicinity (Maine). However, (despite the fact that I am tremendously averse to the phone) I will summon the courage to call my local theater tomorrow!
Note to Gozde: I looked up your list of theaters on the Little Ashes Movement page, and then I Googled the theater you had listed for Portland, Maine. The Movies on Exchange is defunct. They have moved to the Portland Museum of Art, and are now known as the Movies at the Museum. The Portland Museum of Art's address is 7 Congress St., Portland, ME 04101, and the main Museum phone number is (207) 775-6148.
Perhaps my fellow Mainers (anyone?) can make it happen. :)
I won't be able to watch LA till the dvd comes out, but from what I've seen online I think it's amazing how a young actor like Rob was able to portray such a complicated character like dali they way he did. And whoever he's kissing, I envy those lucky lips!!

ReplyDeleteThe bold headline "Finally ... Skinny is over!" is much more interesting. :-)

Hi Chicago girl,
ReplyDeleteI've lived all over (Boston, NYC, Seattle, St. Pete, Austin, etc.) but at the moment I live in Maine.
What a way to cheapen something that is supposed to be beautiful, is this like a trash mag or something?
ReplyDeletenice way to cheapen what seems to be a heartfelt, artistic movie. Like we've never seen two ACTORS kissing before? I'm much more interested in the "Skinny is over" article at this point...
ReplyDeleteAmen, Lisa, Amen.

Blessed be the day when homosexuality is as tabloid worthy as the colour of someone's toothbrush.
ReplyDeleteBut on lighter note - IS SKINNY REALLY DEAD? Me and my ass say "here's hoping!"
ReplyDeleteThis is so fucking insulting. Shame on them. "Robert goes gay"??? GIVE ME A BREAK peeps!
ReplyDeleteGAH!
*facepalm*
again, I repeat..
ReplyDeletetossers...
wankers...
Bullshit magazine.
Heat is a total gossip rag but those pics are undeniably hot though...
ReplyDeleteSuz I feel like Im sniffing your arse in the comments today Ive been under you so much! ha!
Hannah - Get out from under there.
ReplyDeleteOkay...Javier is kinda hot. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteKK - the screen is going to melt
ReplyDeleteHi KK and Tina.
ReplyDeleteHey Mrs. - Are you 2 getting to see this anytime soon?
ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Little Ashes, but it is not scheduled to play in my vicinity (Maine). However, (despite the fact that I am tremendously averse to the phone) I will summon the courage to call my local theater tomorrow!

Hi ladies....just a reminder to vote for Rob everyday at the MTV awards
ReplyDeletehttp://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/2009/categories.jhtml
Hey Robin~
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, way to go Maine on legalizing marriage for everyone! I do think the pics are hot, too.
Chicago girl:
ReplyDeleteThat was a bit surprising, only because it's come to public referendum here several times and was voted down. So this law may not last—we'll see.
Robin~
ReplyDeleteThat's what happened here in California. But I believe it will eventually be legal in all but a few states (like Utah).
"Ridiculous", that's what he said.
ReplyDeleteHannah, you can sniff unda me anytime luv....
ReplyDeleteWonder what TosserWankBag Heat Magazine will do with that?
Geez! Talk about taking something out of context and using it to sell your magazine!
ReplyDeleteTess, undoubtedly thats why they use headlines like these. They want the shock value of a line like that.
ReplyDeleteAlso: he is NOT naked, he has his underwear shorts on.
ReplyDeleteBut I bought the mag :(
Bad summergirl :(
Great movie, seeing it again on Saturday and "How to Be" on Sunday :)
I won't be able to watch LA till the dvd comes out, but from what I've seen online I think it's amazing how a young actor like Rob was able to portray such a complicated character like dali they way he did.
