I'm really looking forward to the MTV movies awards! But I selfishly hope for some pic's and news in the meantime.
Hi! It seemes like the Movie Awards aren´t aired in Europe! Is it right? I live in sweden and just have to see the New Moon clip live! Do you know if they are streaming it on the internet somewhere?
well, they will be aired on MTV france (on the 5th of june), so I would be surprised if they are not aired in sweden... But they will probably be put online on the US mtv website very soon after the show.
LittleBear, I'm with you, I'm so torn. I want to see new pics of him but at the same time I'm glad he's out of the Limelight. Hope he can focus on finishing up New Moon and be ready to film in NY in June. He must be so exhausted. I hope he's reating since they don't film until Tuesday.

So I'm heading to LA next weekend and it occurred to me Rob will be in town too. I am basking in the glow of the .5% chance I have of running into him somewhere, lol!
the Italian Twilighters (who has been providing info about Montepulciano, to the main Twilight websites such as: Lexicon) wrote today, that Rob was seens alone in a bar relaxing last night, but when approached by fans, the bodyguard urged him to leave from another exit. They also saw him the night before when he rolled down the car's window and waved. Seems like the security has been tightened around Rob since his arrival to Cannes, and yet still the same in Italy. Don't get me wrong I understand he needs his space, ans sometimes things can really get out of control, I just don't understand why we didn't seen such security "measures" in Vancouver. I think it's a bit sad for European fans, cause they didn't have the chance to experience how Rob is so cool and gracious to his fans, although I'm sure they all know that already. The same in Cannes, whenever he wanted to respond to his fans, the security cut him off. for some reason, I have the impression that the bodyguard is overeacting sometimes (and you know that I love him) I'm not saying that only because I'm European :)))

I understand for Canne, but it's not the same level of crazyness.

I think in Japan he stopped a bit to sign autographs in the aerport,and just felt sorry that he didn't do it in France, cause the security prevented him of doing so (ok I might be a bit biased but really, French fans have been missing him so much) and same with Italians, they've been giving loads of info about places where the movie is gonna take place. They deserve to meet him, i mean in Vancouver we saw everyday the same faces on pictures. Anyway, hope they'll get the chance to meet him somehow.

Sorry guys but I don't think Rob owes fans anything during his time off. I'm glad he has security. We can't expect photos every time he leaves the hotel. He has fans all over the world; if he treated them all as if they were deserving of a fan photo at any time, even while he is having dinner or enjoying a drink during his time off, he would never be able to do anything else in public.

Have you seen the prices? 74£ I was laughing out loud as how riddiculous it is!! the original book costs 2 or 3 £: people think that Rob's fans are ready to pay anything to get the book, and I'm sure they think so, cause it's written in teir review:Robert Pattinson recommends thin book. I mean, hello??? we're not stupid!! the problem is that the publisher is not selling this book for the moment. I had the chance to find it in the library. I'm still looking for a copy in second hand book shops.
It's always the same: publisher not re-printing even if there is demand because demand is not high enough for it to be worth it (or so they think)... I had this problem with some random fantasy book that I wanted and is only second hand overpriced available.
yeah, you're right! it's a pitty though, cause it really is an amazing book. I devored it (and no, it wasn't because I knew Rob read it) even the library had only one, soooo old copy, I couldn't read it in the park, fearing the sheets to fly away because of windy England.

I saw the interview at the grand journal and there they showed a video when he was leaving a photocall and between the paps and the fans, security could hardly get him out of there, so I assume they just want to take a lo of care to this situation, I don´t think he is happy with a bodyguard as his shadow either, but a large group of fans can be terrible.
I like Taylor,but, he was in the movie all of 2 minutes. If it were next year after he's had a bigger part in NM and EC.I'd be more ok with a fair competiton. I realize it's not the end of the world, but I can't help but want Rob front and center where he should be. Now I'm off to vote. I'm sure I'll check back later.

But I am curious why all the security now and not in Vancouver? He has had people following him for months now, the Italy trip is nothing new, just it's european fans, not american fans going to Vancouver.
Oh I understand annaF, I don´t know why, even though he said in interviews that even in the set of Vancouver he was walking around with 3 bodyguard and nothing happened; we know that at night when he went out he didn´t had security, not that we knew at least; maybe here because he is less time, they assume the fans will be in more frenzy to get to meet him that is why they could have extended the security outside the set in Europe.
This past week at Cannes has catapulted Rob through the stratosphere.
While we all here at Robsessed knew how special he is for months and months.. now the world knows.
Frankly, he needs security. The more the better, I say. If it alleviates any anxiety and worry and allows for him to concentrate on his work... we all win.

@WinWin- If i happen upon him in LA, I probably won't ask for any photos or anything. I'd just want to say hello and tell him how great I think he's done with his work so far. I met Pink a couple of years ago at a small venue in LA. I absolutely love that girl and I purposely didn't ask her for anything. Just wanted to meet her and give HER something, which I did. She was awesome and actually kind of shy.
I still think he looks great in HTB. I squeed in the extras on the making. The BBJ made an appearance. My DH thought I was mental. He's like wth is a BBJ? LOL. I'm behind on my excitement because I just got the dvd. I knew you all would understand since I can't really say to much to the DH and my sister is out of town, Hugs to you all.

Suz I agree about the need now to beef up the security because his profile has become huge. Sad for the European fans though . I can understand their frustration but Rob's peace of mind is the all important thing here. Cannot have the boy mobbed by fans or the paps. I am sure Rob would stress greatly if this happened. Hell anyone would. (I suffer from claustrophobia so I may be projecting my own fear here??) Bodyguards really are necessary. Sad but true. Does anyone know how the voting is going in this MTV awards? Do Americans take it serious really? We have them here and my impression is that no one takes it all that serious. Still I would hate for Taylor to beat him at any award. Especially as he was only in the movie for five seconds and his acting left a lot to be desired. (Ok don't start yelling at me all you Taylor fans. We all have our own opinions on the subject.) Honesty time.. HATE the whole Jake/Bella thing in the twilight books. Now that's another story!!!

My objection against Taylor is the same as yours: that he is a complete background character in twilight. Nothing against the actor.

ReplyDeleteOh I understand annaF, I don´t know why, even though he said in interviews that even in the set of Vancouver he was walking around with 3 bodyguard and nothing happened; we know that at night when he went out he didn´t had security, not that we knew at least; maybe here because he is less time, they assume the fans will be in more frenzy to get to meet him that is why they could have extended the security outside the set in Europe.

While we all here at Robsessed knew how special he is for months and months.. now the world knows.

ReplyDelete@WinWin- If i happen upon him in LA, I probably won't ask for any photos or anything. I'd just want to say hello and tell him how great I think he's done with his work so far. I met Pink a couple of years ago at a small venue in LA. I absolutely love that girl and I purposely didn't ask her for anything. Just wanted to meet her and give HER something, which I did. She was awesome and actually kind of shy.

ReplyDeleteSuz I agree about the need now to beef up the security because his profile has become huge. Sad for the European fans though . I can understand their frustration but Rob's peace of mind is the all important thing here. Cannot have the boy mobbed by fans or the paps.

Do Americans take it serious really? We have them here and my impression is that no one takes it all that serious.
Still I would hate for Taylor to beat him at any award. Especially as he was only in the movie for five seconds and his acting left a lot to be desired. (Ok don't start yelling at me all you Taylor fans. We all have our own opinions on the subject.)
Honesty time.. HATE the whole Jake/Bella thing in the twilight books.
