  2. These pics seem to get more and more invasive. Love 'em nonetheless bc they're of him.

  4. Am posting this here, too, as I was deserted in the previous Rob in Cannes thread ;( Don't blame you all...HQ is so much sweeter...

Will say this while ducking flying objects: I think things are waaaaay out of hand with Rob right now as far as the attention goes. He has done some great work, but "Twilight" is the film that brought many to him. I still don't think that film is enough to catapult him to the insane level of stardom he is at right now. I can't wait for things to die down (like they ever will) because his star is burning so brightly right now that more and more people are going to try to cut him down. I don't doubt he will survive it all just fine, but I still wouldn't be surprised if he decides being in the public eye is not going to be a lifetime career for him.

I'm thankful to be on a site where Rob is recognized for his body of work so far and for his unique personality. I also still believe that a portion of his fanbase will move on soon enough. Not soon enough for Rob, though.

I hope he's curled up right now in bed, clutching on to his "hoodie woobie," dreaming of walking down the street or through an airport where nobody gives a damn who he is.

    So much for my mini-rant!!!

  5. He does look tired, but still beautiful! Pic #8 just kills me dead. He's amamzing, so addictive. Enjoy the film festival, you gorgeous bunch of British goodness-muaaaaahhhh.

  6. Still wondering how he can spend all that time on a plane, look tired, and still look gorgeous. The only thing that changed between Vancouver and Nice is the sex hair got sexier, probably from sleeping on it. And the stubble got stubblier. Yum.

I know it sucks that Rob was mobbed at the Nice airport, but is anyone really suprised? I'm sure not. He's THE flavor of the moment. I know he's going to be a lot more than that, and so does everyone else here; but for the time being, he sells magazines and gets internet hits so the paps and photogs are going to be on him like white on rice. I know he'll never get used to it or like it, but he (and we) had better just be resigned to the fact that Rob's never going to just be one of the unwashed masses again. (Unwashed, maybe, but he'll always stand out in a crowd. ;)

  7. KK-you make a good point. I hope he is too-little hoodie woobie-bahaha. Makes you want to be a hoodie, doesn't it? ;)

  8. Cullen Gal - I'm adding your suggestion to my name: Rob's "little hoodie woobie." I will never call it anything else.

  9. "Still wondering how he can spend all that time on a plane, look tired, and still look gorgeous." I wonder that myself. You know he's tired, but even in the HQ pics you can't see any flaws. The man's perfection. I'll be swooning all day.

  10. Things will level off, but Rob is special, and everyone is finding that out. He's extraordinary, so he's not going to have in any way an ordinary life anymore. I think he's resigned to it. He seems to be handling it all pretty well. The insanity gets to him i'm sure, but he's taking it all in stride so far, and I applaud him for that.

  11. Oh, KK, that's cool, gorl-you can patent it if you like! ;)

  12. Curling up with Rob-that would be a terrible thing for a hoodie to endure, wouldn't it?!? :p

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ohhh I'm glad he's smiling though (: Even if slightly

  14. The film festival should be a fun experience. Let's hope he gets some rest while he's there-a break at least. It's a working vacation of sorts I know, but still-baby boy needs his sleepy time!

  15. Thanks to KK I will never look at Rob's hoodie the same way again without thinking the words "hoodie woobie" LOL, seriously that is so cute! LOL

  16. CullenGal - Oh yes...definitely hoodie-woobie abuse...Where can I get in line for that????

  17. KK-you still there? I'm about to have to sign off-things to do domestically. :( I'll try to check back this evening. Have a great day, K! That goes out to all my fellow Robsessors on this "sucky" Monday.

  18. K-Hoodie abuse indeed. I could stand it, what about you? Any takers?

  19. KK-hoodie woobie can handle it. It's been through a lot already-bahaha.

  20. Take it easy-and I'm sure "hoodie woobie" will take good care of his British Badness. Muaaaahhhha and happy swet dreams to him, and a great day to you again. Bye!!!

  21. My goodness, Robert has became a very big star! I have never seen anyone so new in the industry attain this status!
I have been following him in admiration sporadically and I got to say, his popularity is staying.
I am so glad for him because I think he is a cool guy.
I wonder if he is really good looking in person; he is a dream on screen as an actor.

  22. OK GUYS! now it's 100% sure tomorrow Rob will be in the show: Le grand journal which starts at 19:05 (French time) which means 18:05 for the UK and I think 12h05 for the states (sorry I'm not sure for the US time)

I just watched todays show and the commentator just said that "the hero of Twilight Robert Pattinson will be with us tomorrow" ahhhhhh

you can watch the show tomorrow here: and wait for the translation :D

that's why I'm worried about the interview...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Riddle - Was this the show with the buzzer or was that in Italy?

I hope they give Rob a buzzer to buzz off any stupid interviewer questions!

    ReplyDelete

  29. I know we hate seeing our boy being manhandled like this..but hopefully the worse (arrival) is over..

    It's Cannes..

    It's meant to be madness.

He is going to have a great time.

It's a working holiday.. but the South of France is a win.. always!

Rob.. enjoy --- this is the "good stuff"

    xxx

  30. @KK

yeah exactly, this is the show with the buzzer when he was with Kristen.
Actually, the show is in live, so tomorrow we're gonna see his interview sitting with the commentator and others. Then he goes to this room called "question box" and the day after i.e Wednesday, they will show us images of the "question box" the buzzer is used to say "next" when you don't like a question or don't want to answer it or smthg.

sorry for the late reply though :)

  31. Riddle - Thanks for the info! Love your "sleepy Rob" avatar. I like to think of him that way instead of "irritated and frustrated beyond belief" Rob, which it could be as well!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. @KK

    you're welcome :))

I love sleepy Rob too...BTW this is getting out of hand, don't know if people noticed that I've been here quite a lot today: Robsession is getting worse [or better ;)]

  33. Poor Rob, crowded much? Give the guy some room to breath.

To the fans crowding him, I know you love him(don't we all) but at least let him walk without being crushed to death.

  34. Gone all day and I come back to this!
My initial impression on seeing these pix was, 'wow, he looks great for having just flown 15 hours!' Because I know that I feel like utter hell after doing that transatlantic haul and oftentimes end up with a banger of a headache.
But then, I just started feeling bad for him. All he probably wants is a warm shower and nap, but he's subjected to that insanity. I know, this is the price of fame, yadda yadda yadda... but to not be able to do the little things in life that you once took for granted (get coffee, walk through an airport, talk to a girl) must be an awful feeling. This is no ordinary level of fame. This is an Elvis/Beatles type of fame. And it's not going away anytime soon.

  35. It's amazing how Rob looks so good. He has to be annoyed with the camera flashes right in his face. No wonder he wears sunglasses a lot. I look forward to the interview tomorrow. It'll be great to see and hear Rob in a talkie.

  36. hmmm...south of france...north of spain...im actually not that far away from him!!

i feel the force of his hotness pulling me to drive to cannes...its an eight hour drive...but who cares...
    hahaha
ok ill go to sleep now :D

  37. I often worry about the gorgeous boy, but I don't get that concerned feeling here.
Looks like they had plenty of security all ready to surround him, and I might add they are far better dressed and sauve looking in France!

He would be ready for Cannes - it's all nuts isn't it?
And there will be plenty of mega stars around to maybe take some heat off - now that will be interesting to see actually how things pan out, will Rob mania overshadow Brangelina frenzy?

He has to know he's in for a crazy few days. And he's back in Europe that must feel nice - getting closer to possible weekends in London and probably a short break over there soon, that must feel wonderful knowing he can very soon nip home.

  38. Hmmm...the cheese stands alone. At the risk of being pummelled by rotten tomatoes (or worse,) I must admit, I don't really feel all that sorry for Rob!

Yes, it sucks that the "normalcy" of his life has been altered forever. Yes, it's a huge adjustment, and he will no doubt miss some of the things he once took for granted. But as far as life-changing experiences go, there are a lot worse ones than becoming famous.

The guy just turned 23 years old and he's already had the world handed to him on a silver platter. He has career and travel opportunities he probably never dared dream of. He's able to attend prestigious events like Cannes, where he can make invaluable contacts with artists, writers, directors, actors, promotors, moguls, etc. After his work there is done in the day, he gets to hobnob with all those people at fabulous parties in the beautiful South of France. The boy is Living The Life! To me, being mobbed at the airport for 15 minutes just isn't that big a price to pay for all the benefits he'll reap from becoming an "A-lister."

Yes, it's a trade-off. And yes, I know that Rob isn't into the "glamorous" side of fame or the soul-sucking superficiality of Hollywood. But I see him as a person who's very strong at the core, despite his obvious sensitivity and innate shyness. I think he's perfectly willing and capable of using his newfound fame to his best advantage, and accepting the concurrent loss of privacy and anonymity as part of the price.

Of course, I could be completely wrong. I don't know him, after all. :)

  39. Poor Rob. Coming off a long flight and having cameras and people in your face. Ahh the price of fame.
I think, if you take seriously what he has said in the past, he would not like this. Being on show all the time. Needing bodyguards everywhere he goes. He has said he does not like having his picture taken. With paps flashing lights at you all the time..not good.. it is such an invasive thing. One can understand why some stars have run-ins with these predators.
I agree KK he will probably tire of it. I see him someday rebelling against the constraints this "fame" is putting on his life.

  40. God, he's gorgeous... I'll never get tired of looking at him. :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. poor old thing... i have the impression that he can't breath with all that people around him... I guess it's the price for being so famous... But I just think fame shouldn't be as crazy as it is...

  42. He's so cute.
In the 10th pic, is that really his left hand? I cant see it clearly
