I'm suffering from a killer headache tonight. Blech. So no Saturday night revelry for me.
My roommate just informed me that she just read that Robbie landed at LAX 15 min. ago - apparently someone twittered that they saw him at the airport.
Oh, and this is for SHOWME *grin* because she'll love this... someone on IMDB is reporting that Rob checked out of his hotel room on Friday... but didn't fly until Saturday. You do the math there...
Again, this is thanks to the roommate who is stalking Rob on the sly and won't fess up ;p

Mech, during the Edward drought in NM, I kept reading ahead, and then going back to the Jacob part. I actually like Jacob, but man, it's a long spell without Edward. But at the same time, it's necessary to reeeaaaallly be missing Edward by the time he comes back. That's why Rob was so opposed to showing up throughout the middle of the movie...he thought it would take away from the impact of Edward's Big Reveal in Volterra.
But yeah, I had to read ahead. I couldn't take it. Eclipse is the worst though...every time I re-read it, I can't stand it and start reading ahead to all the awesome bargaining and proposal scenes and stuff. Love that book. It's the most romantic book of the series, and the director looks like some scary horror-movie guy who won't get it at all...scares me to death!
WinWin, Taylor was cute as Shark Boy. I've not seen the movie, but I've seen a clip. He's a nice looking kid now, but I can't get past his nose. It's huge!!! Now, I know that Rob's nose is a little on the large side as well, but it doesn't bother me like Taylor's does.
Now I just sound like a snipey teenager. Eek!

Yes, really .. I read it, I didn´t skipped anything, but I don´t know why, the depression of Bella, the story line of her going through the break up, just didn´t get to me, the entire saga didn´t get too much out of me emotionally speaking, except in Eclipse when Edward speaks to Bella, knowing she just kissed Jacob asking him. But that part I read really fast because it didn´t caught my attention, it became too long for me to pay attention to it… Oh well.. but I´m not normal, so it is natural I won´t get what many get out of this part

I reread Eclipse the same way. I love the bargaining and proposal scenes and skip most non Edward scene. I do love the conversation between Jacob and Edward in the tent when bella is sleeping.

Leann, was it you who agreed with me the other night when I made that comment about the Eclipse director? I am SO afraid he will ruin the romance. I'm not worried about the action, but there are some really romantic parts that I don't want screwed up. Eclipse is my favorite book. At one time or another while reading it I would get mad at Edward, Bella, and Jake. Edward for being overly possessive, Bella for mistreating Edward and wanting her cake and to eat it too, and Jake for taking way to many liberties and not backing off when he should have.
If Slade does that the fandom will explode, and if he does ANY research, he will know that. And the actors know that. Hopefully he will listen. And Melissa Rosenberg knows that, and after reading the New Moon script, I know she gets it and will do fine with Eclipse.
So ... Slade just needs to listen to people and not get caught up in the fight scene and crap.

I know, Stacy, it is creepy that we know this shiz about Rob's life. The worst part is that I'm getting used to it. We've been on so much Rob overload the past two weeks, don't you find that when there's not something new about every 4 hours, you're almost disappointed? The internet age is pretty scary when you think about it. There is NO privacy anymore for famous people. It's not normal for us to know so much about Rob, or to care so much.

Breaking Dawn is a mixed bag for me. I loved the wedding. I loved the honeymoon, although I could have used some softcore porn there, please. I mean Steph can write the most hideous birth scene since The Exorcist or Rosemary's Baby, but she can't write a love scene that does the modern-day Romeo and Juliet justice??? WTF???
I also loved the part where Bella woke up as a vampire...really well-written. But I hated the ending. The entire last third of the book was a waste, from lackluster Edward to the Big Fight That Never Happened...much ado about nothing!
And Renesmee kinda gives me the creeps. Honestly, the whole baby thing kinda ruined the romance for me. And then Jacob imprints on her? So incestuous. Urgh.

I don't mean to sound like a bitch, really, I don't, and you may be right, but ... I had a close guy friend when I was Kristin's age, that I loved dearly, and I would follow anywhere, and I could tell him anything and he would listen. And I know I used to look at them like that, and people often thought we were together, in college, because of the way we looked, acted., etc. and it was never anything like that. We bonded over some things, and we got each other, but we just didn't feel that way about one another. And honestly, he was good looking, and I was disappointed that I couldn't feel that way, cause he was a great guy.
To me, from what we've seen about R/K, that's what I see. I mean, you can analyze photos to death, but they are only brief glimpses into their lives, and you just don't know what they are feeling or even like on a daily basis. We just don't know, which is why I don't get the speculation.
As for the fact that it's Rob ... you can't just say "how could she resist cause it's him." Seriously, he's beautiful, and seems humble and is funny and all, but we have NO IDEA if he's a pain in the ass or what. We just don't know.
As for reading accounts, I wouldn't believe anything you read online regarding what people saw, or whatever, unless it had pics - and I mean pics of what they're claiming they saw, not just pics of them together. It's too easy for them to lie.

Stacy - A lot of academic stuff...research on reading, grants, etc. I used to do a lot of creative writing (poetry, short stories, personal essays) when I was younger but got kind of...driven away from that sort of stuff.
Currently, my best bud and I are writing a novel which has turned into 3 novels written concurrently. We hope to have the first ready to shop around by the end of the summer.

Stacy- Rob did allow Rachelle to smell him in that MTV or whatever video that was. She was like he smelled of only a couple of days must. He just didn't have a chance to wash anything with travel and all.
