USA Today "Robert Pattinson is Hotter Than Brad Pitt...."

Celeb Heat Index: Pattinson reaches the peak of hotness

By Lorena Blas, USA TODAY
Robert Pattinson is hotter than Brad Pitt this week.
After a steady rise, the 22-year-old Twilight star has hit No. 1 on USA TODAY's Celebrity Heat Index, which measures media exposure. Pattinson is only half of the centerpiece cover image on the current issue of OK! and made No. 1 only on PopSugar.com's list of top stories, but he makes enough appearances in other outlets (TV, online and print) to put him ahead of the pack for the first time.

THE LIST: See who else was hot this week
Pattinson was No. 3 on the index for April, and USA TODAY noted that his star was on the rise as photos from the set of the Twilight sequel, New Moon, began circulating.

And if paparazzi shots weren't enough, Entertainment Tonight aired official behind-the-scenes video from the set on TV and online.
Tabloids have remained fixated on Pattinson's relationships with co-stars and possible romantic interests.

Rounding out the top 10 this week: Brad Pitt, Pattinson's New Moon co-star Kristen Stewart, TLC reality stars Jon and Kate Gosselin, Kirstie Alley, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Elizabeth Edwards and Ryan and Trista Sutter (tie).

  7. Ditto re Brad Pitt. I can't imagine that there would be sites like this devoted to him or anything like the level of obsession...but then I'm biased.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like Brad really, but Rob is my first and only obsession, so to me it would be easy to choose , neverthless up today for years majority ppl were saying that Brad is the hottest one, and this changed

  9. Well...here's one less lady who ever has a chance with Rob (like I ever did :P).

Just read an interview that quotes Rob as saying (re: women) "I like strong people, chiseled abs."

I am totally out of the running now...maybe I should work out? Hell, no.

  12. Let's see Brad on the right hand and Rob on the left hand. Haven't really thought about Brad so much since I found Rob. Am I drooling? Gawd! Anyway I will always have a special place in my heart for Brad whom I think just gets hotter with age. Sorry ladies! My ultimate dream is that the left meets right, put those hands together. Eyes rolling back in head, deep down tingle. *thud* I'm done. Rob is my #1 but Brad can be my #2.
Can you imagine being attacked by Louis (IWTV) and Edward(TWI)at the same time. Say Amen

    ReplyDelete
  13. This is a no-brainer. I think Brad peaked in Legends of the Fall.

KK - what article was that? Maybe (hopefully) he was joking? I mean, the "chiseled abs" thing would be kind of hypocritical of him, no? hehe :)

  14. How to Be won best audience award at the FirstGlance Film Festival!

How cool is that, first Rob wins best actor at the same festival and now HTB got the audience vote for best film!

  18. I think he won Best Actor at another festival as well, Stroudsburg, I think.

Yeah for Rob, who is also my first obsession. I loved Brad in Legend of the Fall, but after that it went away. I wish Rob would get a chance to make a movie like that. I would need medical assistance at the theater.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well that's breaking news. And guess what else - Obama is the new President of the United States!!!!

Helllllloooo? Behind the times much, USA-So-Yesterday's-News.

  20. Haha.. No surprises here! Though for some reason , i think its unfair to compare Rob to Brad Pitt! Its like cimparing a cub to a lion! Brad's the class act but Rob's a class apart!
    :P:)

    ReplyDelete
  21. heck yeah he is! bradd pitt is soooooo over.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Rob won Best Actor at Strasbourg (Strassburg if you're German, but not Stroudsburg ;)

  23. Thanks littlebear for the correction. I knew it was something like that.

On SM's website, the NM movie tie in book will be out 10/9/09. Yeah, eye candy!!!

  24. Good one, AJ. Brad P is a very handsome man, but I was never obsessed w/ him. Never followed him or bought anything of his. Now, Rob is a different story. I'm obsessed and can't wait to follow him throughout his career. He is my sweet, mesmerizing escape from reality! The most gorgeous man on this earth! Sorry, I get carried away.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I like both Robert and Brad..
Brad in Legends of the Fall was at his best, the good thing about Brad is that he has a long steady career, has a good resume of films under his craft and he has managed the label of heartthrob and still get respect for his acting. Also his life is under the constant gossip crap pressure but he keeps going aside from all it.
Of course if I may compare sexiness, Rob is on top, beside if you see any video of Brad when he was in his 20´ he wasn’t really too smart, he learned to managed himself in front of the camera being gracious and not looking too dumb after many years under the spotlight, while Rob, has shown more intelligence and sense of humor in a year than Brad Pitt in his entire career. Another reason because Rob is sexier!!
I hope that Rob will have a long career as Brad

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lisa - I can't even remember where I saw it this morning. I think he was probably just saying sh*t again. I believe he also was quoted in the article as saying, "I take what I can get." Who knows the context or whether or not, once again, the person who he told this to "gets" his sense of humor.

Remember the video interview he did where he said so dramatically, "Bella...I don't have a six pack!!!!"? He is too funny. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Brad's pretty, but the only time he really got my mojo workin' was in Thelma and Louise, and that was short-lived. I generally don't like blond guys...Rob's as blond as I go! lol

Yay for Rob winning Film Stuff! Better than the Hot Meter, that.

KK, where in the heck did you read that? That so sounds like one of Rob's sardonic one-liners, like when he says in the Twilight commentary that girls are always crying, he can't stand people crying, and he's not friend with them anymore. Total crap of course. Oh wait, that's right, you haven't actually listened to the commentary yet, never mind. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh yeah...I remember "Legends of the Fall"...that movie was so depressing I wanted to kill myself at the end...I love Brad Pitt in "A River Runs Through It."

    ReplyDelete
  29. KK - I cried all the way home from the theatre in RRTI. DH thought I had lost my mind. Couldn't speak for ages!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well hello, Leann...or should I refer to you as the second half of the early-morning-hour blog team?

"Chiseled abs?" Total bullshit, but I'm glad I found it for coffee/smoke humor this morning before I dragged my exhausted butt to work!!

Brad Pitt in "Thelma and Louise"...oh yes...he was a hottie in that film. :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Uh oh...too early in the day to use b*llshit without the asterisk?

    ReplyDelete
  32. KK, what you said is from a Q&A he made in NY with Catherin, the aple store
Let me find it in youtube
he said many things.. strong, cheseld abs, cold ... then he said I don´t know I have no preferece... whatever.. I´ll just close my eyes...
    Everybody laughed.

    ReplyDelete
  33. LOL Rob seems to enjoy throwing out comments here and there LOL. He's quite the joker that way lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. Is there any quote from Rob you all don't know? This place is like a machine...mention a pic or quote and someone pops up with, "Uh yeah...that was from the 5-minute interview Rob did on July 14, 2008 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho while he was wearing a grey shirt with holes in the armpits." You all are too funny. I appreciate the quick response. I heart all of you!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Here I found it!!!, at the end of it he answers that.. ooohh and also at the beggining a girl goes up the stage, I think this is the girl about the story that she was 7 years old and ask him to bite her hahahaha

  36. *bleary-eyed* Whadju say, KK? Am in partial coma from last night's blog-o-rama. Am also trying to figure out how to create a thumb-sling for my mangled member.

    "She said 'member.' huh-uh-huhhuh!"

Oh yeah, I'm sure chiseled abs are way high on Rob's list of requirements for girls. I don't think he has a "type" anyway...he says it's always a surprise to him when he's attracted to someone. Which makes me LOL, 'cause does that mean that normally he's not attracted to anyone? Picky, picky, picky! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  37. "I don't have a six pack, Bella!" - hilarious interview moment! It's one of my favorites. Also in the Twilight DVD commentary at the shimmer part where he says "I'm just a sweaty guy!" The face and the voice-over are so perfect that I died laughing!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Leann - If it's not too early for "member," it sure as hell isn't too early for "bullshit." heeheehee

  39. BTW, Maryann...How are you doing this fine day???

    Nope.

  41. Wow, an interview I haven't seen! Thanks for posting that Mechevpao!

Did he say "gravitas?" I am so turned on. I'm your vocabulary whore, Rob.

LOVE how when he's embarrassed he folds his legs up like a little kid...so shy. I am so turned on, again. Still. Whatever. Still listening...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi KK on this fine day I am doing just fine :-). And you?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I just feel from the very beginning that Rob says whatever comes to his mind and contradicts himself often
I wonder if he can handle this ... sometimes it comes to my mind that he makes waves ... and then I think, no no no he doesn't know what he is saying
    can't figure out

    ReplyDelete
  44. "I don't even bother, I just close my eyes." Ah, the opposite of picky! He slays me dead in so many ways. I actually had a hard time hearing the audio on that. Could be because my neighbor is mowing grass.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeah, it's strange. Rob is my first obsession. I never have been obsessed with any actors. Strange... Well, that's mean that Rob really have SOMETHING. I mean he's not just pretty and that's all. I like his personality.

    ReplyDelete
  46. aww, great interview, thanks for posting! He's so embarrassed and so damn freakin cute. I also get the feeling that he does say whatever passes through his mind. And that's awesome :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. TINA...ding, ding, you win!
Brad in a River Runs through IT (hmmm what is IT? *snickers*)
was (emphasis on was) the ultimate jizz...he has been dethroned ;)

    MARGOT
I just think Rob *hearts* Irony.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Sorry but Rob's by far my first celeb crush, but he is definitely the youngest lol. My crushes are in no particular order: Viggo Mortensen, Brendan Fraser, Oded Fehr, Stuart Townsend, Josh Holloway, Richie Sambora and of course Rob. And the one thing in common that they do have? They are abit dorky, absolutely goofy and got a great laugh! Very talented too! Also there is something in their eyes...and smile.

Who of these have I met? Brendan Fraser, and Richie Sambora lol who has been the guy I had the longest crush on (he is the guitarist in Bon Jovi. Born on the day before my b-day but he is older than me lol) .

    ReplyDelete
  49. Leann, there is an audio somewhere, you can listen better, not so much screaming, and it is longer, he gave some good answers, other where just funny. And I love to that gesture with his leg, he looks very shy when he does that.
Margot, sometimes I think about that, if he just says what ever goes into his head or he is planning on that.. most of the time I think he just says whatever, but there are some interviews when he admits he likes to say things contradicting himself.. so who knows..
yesterday late at night I posted an article from el mundo.es, it is spanish I translated it, I think it is lost in other thread so I´m reposting it here, because he gave some good answers there.

  50. El mundo.es interview, form Spain

´It is uncomfortable for me to undress before the camera'

The milk teeth vampire sharpens moustaches now. Famous by his role of Edward Cullen in ' Twilight' , the inexperienced Robert Pattinson releases this Friday ' Little Ashes' , where he incarnates young Salvador Dali. He filmed under the direction of Paul Morrison, approaching the tremulous youth of Lorca, Buñuel and the Catalan painter in their years during Students Residence.

In conversation with elmundo.es, Pattinson speaks of the film, reflects on his fame and confesses small secrets to us. With his exquisite 22 years old, the actor chooses scrupulously his words. But he is surprised by a question with his low guard: which is its favorite Dali paint? " Ah… Ehm… It has, has… many".

False alarm. After the initial hesitation, Pattinson bites an intelligent critic: “I like his work during 70´ , when he was denigrated because he only made portraits of rich people that filled his pockets. But it fascinates me that he hardly spent two days doing paintings that looked as real as a photography".

The character was conscientiously prepared; although he confesses that he knew very little about the artist and committed himself to read several biographies. Conclusions?

"His real life was a continuous 'performance': he loved to contradict himself and to confuse people. I began to construct the personage from that angle: someone so introverted who consecrated all of his life manipulating the perception that the public had of him".

‘The sex scene between Lorca and DalĂ is traumatic'

´Little Ashes´ does not try to seat absolute truths around the protagonist’s biographies. The film is omen to the controversy of the relation between Lorca and DalĂ.

Pattinson thinks that the reality in this case is very fragile: "No one was explicit on the matter. DalĂ took years to recognize how much Lorca had meant for him, but the letters they exchanged demonstrated a bond. .. In short, who are we to judge? There was no common romance among them. It was something different, I think".

The London actor defends that ' Little Ashes' is based on a possible interpretation of the reality. And that version includes a sodomit scene between the painter and the poet. "In this film, the sex scenes are sordid" , Pattinson explains. " Although Dali believes he is in love with Lorca, he undergoes a nervous breakdown because Dali has phobia to sex. He is frightened as much to penetrate as to be penetrated; it is a panic that he carried all his life. The film suggests the episode with Lorca happened on time".

Analyzed all this, we ask ourselves if Pattinson has something in common with DalĂ. "Yes, I share his hyper sensibility. I was very shy as a child ". And as adult. "During filming, the Spanish people did not have any problem being naked. The English, however… (A nervous laughter cuts his phrase). Javier Beltrán (Lorca) was in naked and so relaxed".

Perhaps Pattinson does not enjoy showing his skin? An outburst of laughter precedes the answer: "Absolutely! It is very uncomfortable for me to undress in front of a camera. At that time I was kind of embarrassed of my body. It was awkward".

'A lot of people want to dismiss for being famous'

It is hard to believe it. Robert Pattinson, the star of 'Twilight' has inspired rages of million adolescents. Certainly getting a date is easier now. "Actually, no".

Be ware, here comes a cascade of aphorisms: "I believe that girls like someone when he is not concern of the 'look'. While filming 'Little Ashes' I felt so free… But now I am paranoid because everybody judges. Much people want to dismiss for being famous. It is odd".

Don´t feel pity for Pattinson, he complains for nothing. "While we were filming in Barcelona, there was a girl who always waited for me. I had one week free because I didn´t know anybody in the city I spoke with her. She was very likeable and quite pretty. She seemed normal. I asked her why she was always there, and she answered that she wanted to invite me to dinner at her parents’ restaurant".

Masterful play or stake into the heart? "She invited me, but she made me pay! It was her parents’ restaurant, but she wanted a tip or what? (Laughter). As if, she was so bored with me that she never returned. Perhaps she only wanted me because of the money".

Or because of your wild hair, Robert.

Pattinson recognizes he never combs it: "Never. When I was a child, my father used to comb it to go to the school, and I hated it so much… As I grew up to comb it by my self, I never did".

'I have great objectives in the industry'

The obsession by the appearance of Robert is congenital in the Pattinson family. Until he turned 12 years old, his sisters dressed him as a girl and they called him Claudia. "Yes, well, that sounds a little extreme that what it was in fact ".

We arch eyebrows and we speak of his films references. Although he admires actors like Ryan Gosling or Romain Duris, Pattinson indicates Jack Nicholson as mirror in which reflects, because "he changes at will his registry and without effort".

Any director you would like to work with? “ It would be incredible to work with Milos Forman or Jacques Audiard. I believe that I am going to continue saying names in the interview, to see if someone calls me (laughter). Tony Gilroy! ".

No strategy is despicable trying to reach the top. "I believe that movies are the best form of education in mass. And I have great objectives, although I am not sure yet which they are. I am going to sound like an idiot speaking of my desires, but I am a very ambitious person. Very ambitious".

  51. He's sarcastic all the time, but he's so dry and deadpan about it that you have to stop for a second and think, is he serious? Which most of the time, he isn't.

Mechevpao, I'll have to look for that interview, I'd like to hear it again.

OMG ladies...I'm facing a whole weekend of dial-up, which means I won't be able to Robsess...I feel withdrawals coming on! Somebody hold me! Rob, hold me! lol

    ReplyDelete
  52. Maryann - Josh Holloway is soooo not dorky. Love Sawyer...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Maryann - Don't even get me started on Viggo Mortensen...Gah! Viggo Mortensen and his horse-riding, poetry-writing, photographing, intensely-intellectual self...Man! I do love that guy.

Mechevpao - Thanks for that interview. Now I must watch the Apple video...brb

    ReplyDelete
  54. I looove Viggo, but mostly as Aragorn. 'Cause he was brunette. Can't help it...I like when I can see his eyebrows. I have a thing for eyebrows, imagine that.

    SAWYER! Yum.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Okay...is Rob the poster child for physical awkwardness in the Apple video??? And why is that so absolutely endearing? I can't believe someone on here said once that Rob doesn't have long legs. He's ALL freakin' legs!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Actually Tina to me Josh have a dorky side..and with that I mean the way he laughs etc..his entire FACE breaks up in a laugh..he's absolutely adorable!! When I call him Dorky is is a compliment. lol.A friend of mine in Hawaii has met Josh several times and he is just the most lovable guy ever!

KK I know what you mean about Viggo, EVERYTHING about him fascinates me, and that makes him very sexy! He's such a no frills and smart guy! And he speaks Danish, he understands Norwegian just fine! LOL. Bit scary cos he best never evesdrop on me gushing over him then..lol.

Leann it was actually Aragorn that sold me on Viggo, he was BORN to play that part. But also his movie A Walk on the Moon with Diane Lane. Seriously HOT in that movie!

    ReplyDelete
  57. He DOES have long legs, but actually he's longer through the torso than the legs, for a tall guy. But he's so lanky that he's just all awkward limbs akimbo. So cute. He's just too big to disappear into a crowd like he wants to. *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  58. maryann, I OWN A Walk On The Moon. HOT HOT HOT!

    ReplyDelete
  59. How tall is Rob really, and anyone able to convert his height into the metric system for me? LOL.

I just know one thing, I'd be a midget next to him lol.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Maryann - "A Walk on the Moon?" The scene with Viggo and Diane in Viggo's trailer? Good Lord...that has to be one of the single hottest moments in movie history...

Rob has a long torso? See how much more you gals are paying attention to him than I am? Must pay better attention, KK, must pay better attention :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Leann I KNOW!! LOL, I am literally DROOLING every time I watch that movie!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Just got on, wow more hotter than Brad Pitt, like we did not know.

I agree with most Brad was hot in Legends of the Fall and in Fight Club is body was awesome but that was when he was young. There is no comparison to Rob right now.

    ReplyDelete
  63. KK that unzipping sound in that trailer scene has me short of breath yeah..*drools*

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yeah, Rob's long through the waist...and those love lines are KILLER.

    ReplyDelete
  70. My celebrity crush in high school was Johnny Depp from 21 jumpstreet days and i guess it continued thru today.
but now with Rob it's like an obsession to read & see everything Rob. the internet makes it an obsession cuz there is so much info. out there.

    ReplyDelete
  71. does this surprise us??? me thinks nottttt........

    rob, youre gorgeous baby!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I wonder if a celebrity crush now feels stronger than it used to because of the internet? I mean, I had to buy magazines and stay up late to watch "Friday Night Videos" to see my fav group Duran Duran when I was younger. Now we can feed our obsession 24/7 if we want to...pics, video, movies, interviews, blogs...I think this "overabundance" of contact info that we can read at any time (including work) helps to intensify the crush.

Hey, I'm no psychologist, but I know one...does that count???? :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Uh... so who besides me thinks that the Gossip Girls were reading this thread today?

by lookintogetsilly 1 hour ago (Fri May 8 2009 12:30:10)

    UPDATED Fri May 8 2009 12:51:44
OK, first off, I have to set the record straight about certain things that have been printed about me and my randevĂş with Robert Pattinson.

    1) My name isn't Kendra, it's Candie, but I go by Sugar-Tits. The tabloids could have easily found that out with very little research.

2)I take offense at being called "curvy." I mean, I obviously have great tits but I'm quite lean and work damned hard at it!

3)I did not give Rob a lap dance on his first visit. On his first visit we did go into the back room, but we mostly just drank red wine and talked about Nietzsche, Freud and Fraggle Rock. I think he was having some sort of existential crises. But what do I know? At first e was awkward and shy but my impersonation of Gobo, Red and Wimbley made him laugh and he started to open up. Over all we got along quite nicely. After a robust debate on Eternal Return, he had to leave. Before he left he asked me when I worked again, I told him.
On his second visit is when I gave him the lap-dance. He requested "Baby Got Back" be played loudly in our private room, took a few swigs of whiskey and politely told me to "hop on." I obliged. He jizzed in his pants after about 97 seconds. I could tell because his face started twitching, his eyes began to bulge and he grunted so loud I could hear it over "my anaconda don't want none unless you got buns hun!" He then politely whispered in my ear "I think I've just come. Thank you for your services." It was the easiest 200 bucks I've ever made!

    ReplyDelete
  101. give me a freakin' break, total B.S.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Danni - Now hold on...maybe they were discussing Freud's psychoanalytic theory of personality in the context of Nietzchian philosophy while watching Fraggle Rock. That's how I spent last weekend. (snicker)

    ReplyDelete
  103. Ladies!

  109. KK, people don't realize the deep psychoanalytical subtext of Fraggle Rock and The Muppets in general. See, that's our Rob for ya. He knows how to read between the crayola lines!

    ReplyDelete
  110. A/L.A I didn't see the link it came from...if it was the IMDB link I never saw that post there...

  112. I see what you mean, Maryann. Sometimes I wish you could edit your posts instead of having to delete them.

To make it clear to all, that was a link Danni posted that some people couldn't see, from Rob's IMDB.com fan boards. I've never read them before. I'm to preoccupied here! :)

    ReplyDelete
  113. A/L.A. I'm going to go back to school just so I can write a dissertation titled:

"Fraggle Rock and The Muppets: An Analysis of the Psychoanalytical Subtext of Jim Henson"

    Gold...pure gold.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hi girls! TGIF

KK....your killing me :) went back and read the posts....you are all so funny....

Are you sure "sugar-tits" isn't a reliable source...?

    ReplyDelete
  115. I agree A/L.A. I wish there was an edit button..cos I am always making typos lol

The link Danni posted directed me to some hilarious thread named "we appreciate your concern, now move on" or something. ANd it was just a snarky reply to a troll there wondering why ppl bothered drooling over Rob lol. Obviously some jealous guy lol.

If the "Stripper post" wast here..it got deleted when I was there lol or I got directed to the wrong thread..ah the mystery of technology! Or maybe it was Fraggle rock that got in the way..who knows LOL

    ReplyDelete
  116. And I thought that I was the only one who did all those things in my spare time KK, man...Fraggle rock that takes me back, haven't thought of that in years.

    ReplyDelete
  117. KK- you could spend an entire semester on Bert and Ernie.... and why the Fraggles all live in caves.

Dude, Rob is so on to something!

    ReplyDelete
  118. kk...I did! Finally! It felt like Christmas morning! Just last night...hurt like a mother, but yes, you were absolutely right, when I left the shop with the girls I went with, I said, "I am SO FUCKING COOL"...tee hee (But I'm not really!)

    ReplyDelete
  119. LA....I'm LOL and my kids both said, "stop laughing! we're trying to watch TV...."

    ReplyDelete
  120. By the way,,, regarding that whole fabricated stripper story, someone elsewhere came up with a good theory as to how the whole story was concocted:

The New Moon filming of the movie theater scene. The exterior used for the Forks movie theater is actually a strip club called.. Brandi's.

So yeah Rob was at a strip club. So was Kristen, Taylor, and a ton of crew... filming.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Ladies - I'm going to take a short nap after I relax with Nietzche's Ecce Homo on the stripper pole in my bedroom.

    See ya later!

    ReplyDelete
  122. OMG, KK........ I'm laughing so hard I'm crying!!!! You are WIN bahahahahaha!

And damn BF can last 97 seconds?
(Was there a fucking egg timer handy??)

at 23 that stamina makes him a Playa!

    Let a playa.. play

    ReplyDelete
  124. about the title "tell me something I didn`t know" :D :D :D

    ReplyDelete
  125. OH the things I miss while at work, making a living! Rob's stripper adventures "revealed." *snort* Rob probably wrote that himself just for a laugh.

Now I'm outta town for the weekend...keep the Robfires burning over the next 48 hours while I'm gone.

OMG....I fell shaky, DTs are starting already! 48 hours of Robsesslessness! The horror...the horror.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Sophia~Hello, are you still there? Looks like everybody left just as I was finally getting on! LOL.

Oh, well. That stripper story is quite a funny little joke--definitely not believeable.

I'm super excited. DH and I will be seeing "Little Ashes" at 10:50 a.m. tomorrow, already pre-paid for the tickets.

The other thing that makes me feel "right" about Rob is that my hero and mentor, film critic Roger Ebert liked "Little Ashes." He gave it three stars! He's probably the best-known and most respected US film critic. You can read his review at RogerEbert.com. I started reading him when I was a kid and he taught me all about film. I've been told my writing style is similar to his. When I was a critic myself, I did interview him and we were often at the same events (since he's based in Chicago). Anyway, I just feel happier knowing that he likes Rob, too.

    ReplyDelete
  127. OMG A/L.A. - LOL @ Candie.

Thanks Mech - just watched the Apple interview again - another of my favorite words from Rob = gravitas. GRAHVETAHS - ranks right up there with "bouffant" and "saucy"

Hey Ladies! Leeann, hope you thumbs feeling ok.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Hello all. I took a little break to let my computer cool off. It doesn't seem as hot today, but my apartment doesn't know the subtleties of temperature.

Nice to know at least someone on the IMDB board has a sense of humor!

KK, I'm here. Is the stripper pole nice and comfy?

    ReplyDelete
  129. About crushes~I agree about Viggo. That recent film where he plays the Russian with the tattoos...yowza!

The biggest celeb crush for me was John Cusack. Still like him and Keanu. What I wonder about John is why he STILL hasn't settled with a long-term relationship? Keanu in "The Lake House,"--what a tearjerker! Don't know what to say about Brad. Never got that one. DH likes Johnny Depp. I appreciate Depp, but never, ever crush material for me.

    Nobody can touch Rob. Nobody.

Hello Twiheart~DH says gravitas all the time--one of his favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  130. A~You're in LA, right? I'm burning up in the San Gabriel Valley...

    ReplyDelete
  131. Oh- John Cusack! Actually, I don't know if I'd ever call him a crush, but I just adored every one of his movies when I was younger. He seems sort of hit and miss now.

All my young crushes were on musicians. I don't think I ever had a photo of an actor on my wall when I was younger...

    ReplyDelete
  132. Yes! I live close to the Valley but not quite in it. Near Glendale / the GP Golf Course (where the Twilight meadow scene was filmed! If only I'd known!!).

I haven't decided when I am going to see Little Ashes yet. I wanted to convince some gay friends of mine but I don't think they're sold on Robert Pattinson, if you can believe it. None of my friends are! Pssht.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Chicago ... I couldn't agree more to your list of favs and to the Robsessed conclusion :) my girl :))

as usuall : you start the evening , I'm sailing away no matter how hard I try - it's 2:37 am :(((

    have a nice evening !

    wish me nice dreams ...

    ReplyDelete
  134. sweet dreams, margot!

    ReplyDelete
  135. Viggo is a fantastic actor, not really a crush but I like to watch his work, he is trully a complete artist in many ways, too.

Johnny Depp is actually the actor I always had a crush, he is unique! But I´ve never been obsessed about Depp as I feel for Rob. ;)

The stripper news, as if we needed confirmation.. haha.. E! did some research, this is what they sayd:

"when we called Brandi’s, the club says they haven’t seen or heard of R.Pattz visiting their establishment. Rob’s manager wasn’t available for comment.

We’re tempted to call BS on this rumor, because let’s face it: The guy is constantly photographed (and being chased down alleys). Would he really be able to hit a strip club twice without cameras getting shots of him?"

Chicago gril in LA, I agree with you, Ebert gave a good review on LA.. most of the time I don´t pay attention to reviews, of course I would like to see they are good, but the truth is good or bad, these days, any body sits, watch a movie and makes a review, all I see even in important "entertainment" media, are reviewers trying to punch the best one liner about a movie or a performance, objectivity is lost.

  136. I'm around off and on, Tina (hi!). Currently reading a ff and havin' some dinner.

  149. Hey Emmes BB.. I sent you a note on facebook today too.. did you see it?

    ReplyDelete
  150. Good evening to all the lovely Robsessors!

    ReplyDelete
  151. Mechevpao~I agree with you...nowadays, there are so many pseudo-critics. I'm glad you read Roger's review. When he writes, you actually learn something. I didn't realize that Dali was paranoid about getting VD. Ebert said he admires Rob...that is a lot coming from him. It is such a shame that Roger got salivary/thyroid cancer and can no longer speak aloud. His film review program, "At the Movies" was fantastic for 25 years. He is writing more than ever though about film and I highly rec. his blog on his website.

    G'night Margot!

A/LA~We see my Aunt in Glendale all the time. I thought the meadow scene was filmed at Griffith Park...am I mistaken? Wherever it was filmed--that's a holy place!

    ReplyDelete
  152. spunky! New avatar.... is..... niiiiiiiiiiiiiice nice nice.

  153. Elaine - Pull up a chair and have a Becks, that's what Emmes brought.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Thanks A/LA. I thought that was a nice shot.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Don't think KY has been able to ditch the dh yet. hee hee

    ReplyDelete
  157. Chicago- I went to HS in Glendale. I know it oh so well.

Yes, it was filmed @ Griffith Park, and I am almost positive Catherine Hardwicke said it was in the middle of the golf course. Meaning... not half a mile from me!

    ReplyDelete
  158. KY is distracted with Harry Potter 4 right now....hopefully she will be on later :(

    ReplyDelete
  159. Kelly...I did girl...let me tell the cousin definetely grew into his looks...he was such a geek!

    ReplyDelete
  165. @A/L.A.

    ReplyDelete
  168. What if you had to pick only 1?

    ReplyDelete
  169. Chicago Girl, when I’m interested in a movie, I pay attention to Ebert reviews, he gives really interesting insights into the films he reviews, speaking about the good and the bad from each film, focusing in objectivity . I wasn’t aware Ebert said he admires Rob, which is really important.
I didn´t know Roger got salivary/thyroid cancer, that is so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Hey Tina were you looking for me??

    ReplyDelete
  171. No contest Tina...Roberto Pattinsono
