  2. Maybe it's just me, I haven't seen the whole film yet, but Rob really, really reminded me of Johnny Depp in "Don Juan DeMarco" in that scene.

  3. I keep not watching these because I want it all new when I go see it in theaters (I can't until Denver has it on the 29th). But it's SO hard to resist!

  4. Haven't seen the movie yet, but Rob is pretty good in this clip. The critics need to give him a break.

Have a great Sunday everyone! The sun is shining in lovely England today!

  10. Does anyone have a link to the clip IMMEDIATELY after this scene when Dali kisses Frederico before Magdalena comes in?

It's one of my favorite from the movie, so beautiful because it so fiercely illustrates the desperation and love between the two, they are both wonderful here. Plus...Rob kissing Javier is hot. :)

I haven't seen such hot male hetero action since Tom and Brad in Interview with a Vamp.

If anyone can find this, it would be appreciated, I can't seem to find it anywhere. This scene continued to burn into my brain since I walked out of the theatre.

    Thank you!!!

  11. I saw this movie twice already and I am going to go see it again before it leaves the theater. In my opinion it is one of Rob's best movies. I have seen all of his movies to date and this one is amazing. It is very passionate and haunting, and you get to see a totally different side to his acting. He is extremely funny and carefree in this movie, unlike his other films. His acting was spot on in this movie and I don't know what the critics are talking about, but if you have a chance to see it, GO SEE IT!!! It is so worth it. It will stay with you long after leaving the theater.

  12. Ok, just watched. First off, I thought Rob got decent reviews for this overall? I thought it was more the movie that got not so good reviews ...

Anyway, I thought that was a pretty good clip ... he seemed to have a range of emotions there. It's hard for me to tell since I've not been able to see the movie, but I think it def shows he has some talent.

I think that if he keeps working hard and learning, he will be able to improve a lot.

And it's really unfair to judge him by Edward - cause he can only do so much with that character.

  14. Sho: He does well with the impassioned scenes. In fact, very well with some of them.

  15. I FINALLY got to see Little Ashes on Friday. It was incredible and oh so worth the wait. I wanted to immediately see it again. Alas, I had to get home and back to real life. The movie was beautiful, tragic, heartbreaking. I think I should really been seen first on a big screen. The cinematography and scenery are just best appreciated that way. Rob's performance was fantastic, particularly in the first part. After Dali changes, it is a bit weaker, but still powerful. I absolutely loved it and can not wait for it to come out on DVD here. In the meantime, I will try to figure out some way to get back to the theater.
Thanks again Gozde for all your hardwork in getting this to theaters!!

  17. Liza- I agree that he does really well with impassioned scenes.Any time he is angry or in a high emotional state I find myself practically crawling into the screne with him.
He evokes the emotion in me when he's emotional in any of his movies.

    Rasberry- I'm in Colorado too.2 1/2 weeks to go.yay!
