It wasn't just the heart of every Robert Pattinson fan that sunk when they saw photos last week of him smooching co-star Emilie de Ravin while shooting scenes for their upcoming film Remember Me. His on and offscreen love interest Kristen Stewart was none-too-pleased with what she saw.
A source close to the couple says, “She knows screen kisses are part of Rob’s job, but it doesn’t make things easier, seeing sexy photos of him and Emilie in full lip-lock.” A friend of Rob’s puts it more explicitly: “Kristen saw a photo of them kissing and flipped out.”
And according to some who were on the beach for the scene that day tell OK! that both R-Pattz and Emilie seemed to be enjoying the scene. “Everyone else was setting up for the next shot, but Rob and Emilie stayed where they were,” says the eyewitness. “Emilie snuggled with him for at least 10 minutes. She was sitting with part of her body pressed up under his arm and they were making each other laugh. They’re definitely getting close — you can tell it’s more than a work relationship.”

ReplyDeleteAll these gossip rag mags make me crazy! Maybe there is a fraction of truth to all of them, but there are always so many fabricated scandalous details. Rob can't take a **** without the paps watching him, and I know he knows this. It seems highly unlikely that he'd be holding hands with anyone in a pub, or making gooey eyes at anyone on a beach, or anything else like that. He doesn't seem to be the PDA type, esp. being watched as he is. And with all of the rags pretty much on board the "RP/KS--Are they or aren't they?" boat, I can't imagine that he'd make himself out to look like he was cheating (regardless of whether that whole thing is true or not, nothings been proven either way), for the most part, the general public thinks it is true because of what paps have told them and RP and KS have quit denying anything...or talking about it period which really only fuels the continuation of the speculation imo. Anyway, the point is, scandal sells, and if the mags don't say that Rob was canoodling in the sand or playing footsie with someone under a table at a pub instead of just saying "Eyewitnesses report that Rob sat all night drinking his beer and laughing and talking with friends. Or "Rob and Emilie sat and talked in between takes but appeared to be strictly professional." That stuff doesn't sell magazines and isn't any fun for the delusional fans. It's all a stupid game at celebrity expense. It's so ridiculous it should be illegal. And so all sorts of rumors will persist. I suspect by summers end Rob and Emilie will be engaged with a lovechild on the way and Kristen will be in therapy to nurse her broken, betrayed heart. Haha!
My heart did NOT sink! I am thrilled to see him with someone other than Kristen and looking like he is enjoying his time spent working at his well-deserved occupation as an "ACTOR"!! I, for one, do not care who he dates, but I think he can definitely find someone more appropriate than Kristen. Four years at her young age makes a big difference. An older woman may be more suitable for him. (And I'm way older) I also believe his Mum raised him to have more respect for himself and the people he cares about than to do almost any of the crap these rags write about him, as evidenced by his long-term friendships that appear to be so strong and his discreet former girlfriends who won't tell tales for money. Not sure what was up with his auntie, but she didn't say anything negative.

That's pretty good range for such a young man. I hope he gets to play a character we hate, too. We believe Edward loves Bella because he is a GOOD ACTOR. It's such a slap in the face for them they have to make do with onset in character photos & build fantasies around nothing.

He looks so happy and a happy Rob means I am a happy girl! :) I love reading your comments and I especially LOVE the one where someone comments how the paps apparently have special powers to see text messages and see calls. That is what irritates me the most. How could they possible expect us to believe that Kristin or Rob is texting each other non-stop.. really!!!!!!!!!!! Those reports just infuriated me. As for Stephen.. I like True Blood but he is not any where on the same level as Rob is and he is just jealous! Rob outshines him in every way possible!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that I give OK any creedence at all, but I can see Kristen getting a little jealous - not necessarily over any romantic ties between robert and emilie, but over reports about their chemistry. All we've been hearing for so long is how great Kristen and Robert's chemistry is, but if he has great chemistry with someone else, then it makes their chemistry less significant.

Loisada- Ok, tie me to a stake and burn me alive..but I can only tell the truth. It does matter to me, not in the way I view him as an actor persay. I still haven't gotten over all those wasted years daydreaming about Richard Chamberlain. I'll still watch his movies, but in a totally different light. I do like to get emotionally involved with a character in a movie, always have. But that knowledge out there like Richard prevents me from ever looking at him that way again. What can I say? I am an incurable romantic, and don't get me started on the nasty rumors about Cary Grant..I don't want to go there...*sniff*

I think that we pretty much all agree that it is a waste of time reading these gossip magazines. They put out stories laced with titillating titbits that no one in their right mind should believe.
He is not the first star, and will not be the last, to have rubbish written about him.
I guess it comes with the territory. Shows how much his 'star' has risen in such a short time though. Everyone wants a piece of him.
I am curious to know if he looks at it all sometimes, shakes his head, and wonders if he can ever have a normal life again.
You know.. those days when he didn't need bodyguards everywhere he went. Could have a drink with his mates without paps and people harassing him. Catch a flight, travel on a train, even buy a coffee, without someone there to take a picture of it. Hell he can't even do his job without an army of paps, and silly so called 'fans' interrupting it.
Ahh well Robbie boy, I think for the next few years(at least) those days are gone.
I just think that all the rumors both the ones about Rob and Kristen and Rob and Emelie are all publicity stunts by Summit in order to sell the movies.

Nik- Your information about Mormon theology is very interesting. Didn't know that - Mormons are not such a subject here in Europe. I'm no religious person so I never questioned the whole Twilight series for theology matters. I thought the only "Mormon thing" is no sex before marriage.
ReplyDeletedayz- As you said, "Rob would have chemistry with a paper bag". I always thought that the "great chemistry" in Twilight was not because of Kristen but of Rob. Even as Daniel Gale he would have been a believable lover (I don't count the kiss at the ending). So why shouldn't there be chemistry with Emilie?
ReplyDeleteBut I can imagine Kristen getting a little bit irritated/jealous because of the "success" Rob has now. Originally, she was the star of Twilight. This definitely has changed for NM, even when Rob is not so much in it!
I know, there is no competition, but I think that so much more people will watch RM in comparison to the Runaways, and its only because of Rob (and as said before - its all about success and money).

I didn't realize what Meyer was doing until I got to Breaking Dawn. In fact, did you guys know that Twilight was originally only two books; Twilight (in which Bella and Edward meet and fall in love) AND Breaking Dawn (in which they marry, have their baby, she is made immortal and they live happily ever after). But the publishers wanted her to expand the story, so she came up with werewolves, a love triangle and the imprinting. And speaking of the imprinting...
I would eliminate it entirely from the films. I know what Meyer was trying to do with it; it was the meeting of soulmates and it didn't matter the physical ages of the souls that were meeting. One could be two and the other could be a hundred and two. But what alot of people saw was, teenage
boys 'fixating' on little girls who they were one day going to have sex with. They saw pedophilia. It's a hot button issue right now and I believe if they include it in these films, they're gonna get seven kinds of shit slapped out them and that's really gonna hurt because as far as I know, there are only six kinds of shit. They need to come up with another reason for why Jacob does not kill that baby. Why not he decides not to simply because he realizes that he can't. He loved Bella and how can he kill the baby that -he thinks- she gave her own life for? It's actually a stronger choice than him not being able to do it because she's now his imprint. Just an opinion. As for Mormon theology in this story...
The foundation of Mormonism is eternal marriage. They believe that they can one day attain such a god like state that they will live for eternity as husband and wives in perfected bodies of flesh and bone. Not blood, as blood is what makes us mortal. And yes, I said wives because they also believe that in the celestial world, plural marriage will be practiced; one man and several wives. Mormon woman do not like to talk about this subject because they believe that one day they will have to share their husband with sister wives. Polygamy is the 'pink elephant' in the living room of Mormonism. They also believe that they will have children for eternity. Yes, it's an interesting theology. Kinda like a fairy tale. As for sex before marriage...
A big no no (although lots of Mormons do, they're human like everyone else). And because Meyer is a devout Mormon, there was no way she could have Edward and Bella consumate their love before marriage. It would have gone against her basic beliefs. And this is her story and her beliefs and she can write it any damn way she wants.
I personally thought it was rather sweet and quaint. And it did fit to a degree. Not only because of their physical differences, but because Edward came from a different era when boys did not bed girls they loved. They went down on bended knee, asked for their hand in marriage and wouldn't have thought of laying an improper hand on them before they were their wives. Remember when Bella gave him argument about his old fashionedness and he said..."but I am that boy." I thought it was lovely.

Just went back and read that mammoth post and I don't think I tied in the correlation between Edward and Bella's marriage and Mormon theology of marriage.

Minus the extra wives which Ms. Meyer doesn't want to think about anymore than any other Mormon woman wants to think about it. Now that I think of it, Meyer wrote a 'fantasy' version of eternal, Mormon marriage. What all Mormon women want, but know they will not have.
