OMG! They will really start filming Eclipse this month!! WOW! I loved the book ~ it is my fav. I hope they recriate the two bed scenes and the tent scene as in the book...
I sincerely hope that with male directors and hopefully a little less of Stephanie Meyers input we can get some serious passion between Bella and Edward in these next two installments.
Don't get me wrong Twilight was very entertaining, but it wasn't that great as a movie. It could have been done better and really told the story without all the rushing. I mean its like BAM they meet and BAM he's all in love with her and she is going off to die for him.
The books gave us so much more passion between the characters, more love, more kisses more touching more of Bella and Edward really together showing their love and affection.

@ RobPforDummies... I read somewhere that they were thinking of two movies for BD. I think it can be done in one only, if they cut out the boring preparationg to a war that never happens afterall...
I don't think the solution is a male director so much as CH was in over her head for the type of movie Twilight should have been. If you've seen 13, you see how she used a lot of the same style, which was so ill fitting, for Twilight. And twilight was just badly edited, I'm sorry.
I think chris weitz is a perfect fit for the series, because he can handle a fantasy movie but still keep the heart. I'm afraid, from some of the things david slade has said about wanting to up jacobs profile, that slade will actually add less passion to be honest, at least in terms of E/B. He's really interested in actually broadening the scope of the story and shifting the focus slightly, not honing in more on the two.
i read today that summit is doing a trilogy, i will try and remember where i read it... they talked about after all the success with harry potter, summit wants in the market... so it could be bullshit or maybe true.

DANI I totally agree with you, I am not bagging Twilight but I felt it lacked a lot of the passion the book had and for some bizzar reason some of the major key scenes were not put into the movie due to "the flow" as Catherine put it. Thankfully we did have them in the extras of the DVD, I also felt that if you didn't read the book you would have a hard time understand the whole Vampire thing.
So the beautiful boy is back in Canada and the work begins. Roll on Eclipse, my favourite book. Looking forward to the tensions and the love triangle. We all know Taylor is looking forward to recreating the sleeping bag scene with Kristen...lol Don't worry Robward - we all know who'll be getting most of the action...hehehe ;-)

Than I forced bf to watch it with me agan and he said, he totally can´t get all the madness and that some films are just made for the people who read the books. @Temptation: Just as you said, I think it is hard to get all the stuff without reading the books before :-) After that bf got curious and started to read the first book and made up his mind and " exactly know(s) why you/we got all so crazy". What means that he thinks that Stephanie Meyer used all our deep wishes and plays with our feelings (quote;-)) LOL He even get so far and did some research on her, I didn´t even know she is a mormon. And all the time I was thinking, why is she so reservated about the sex...it´s a teen book, too, right ;-) Whatever, I guess she will try to keep some things just not shown, but I also hope that her influence will be not that much and we see a bit more ;-) I also think that some of the reason why Twilight wasn´t like I exspected was the lack of money. And although I like CH a lot, I do think that she´s a bit too...I don´t know and I don´t know her, but a bit to "emotional" ( no offence at all!). In my opinion you need passion and a good concept to make a great love story work in a movie and she sometimes seems to get carried away by the flow ;-)

I totally agree with you Dani the first time I watch the movie I feel that everything was fast I thought I will see more love scenes between Edward and Bella at least before the fight scene .. but it was one of the best movie I watch and the moment I finished watching the movie I couldn't sleep until I make a long search about Robert Pattinson and reach this wonderful blog.
No matter, he's still beautiful. I just hope he's not stressed out so much now that he's back with the Twi cast. Maybe he can relax a little and he'll gain a little weight. Just stay the same on the inside, Rob.....don't go Hollywood :)
