  1. I can confirm that several of the Aussie Robsessors have bought tickets for a midnight premier of New Moon scheduled for the night of 18th November in Sydney. There is also a screening of Twilight beforehand. We are very excited of course to be seeing New Moon and ::NEW ROB::, but also to be meeting each other for the first time in person. It should be a blast and I for one can't wait!!!

  2. Twilight sold out for a lot of big cities but as for Portland, OR where the dang movie was filmed not so much. I think a few theaters sold out but not many.

I went the next day and I was in a theater with 3 old ladies, 2 couples and one dude who I think thought the movie was going to be something else cause he walked out part way through.

New Moon however I believe is going to seriously trump Twilight. And damn well it should its my fave of the series.

  3. I have already made my plans months in advance as well! Some of us gals from work have already requested our time off! Midnight show and then prolly a couple more times the following day!!!

  5. uh yeah, i hadnt thought about getting tickets so soon, hmmmmmm
    OK WHY NOT!

  6. Might be a good idea ladies if you are one for the opening night kinda thing. I can be a little patient cause well I am pregnant and really don't wanna slam myself in a crowded theater at midnight to see the movie.

It's going to be difficult but I can wait. I will probably go the monday after opening.

  8. I'm just going to wait...much as I want to see it, I'm not going to brave the mad throngs here in the city LOL

We'll just wait for a weeknight and hit a late show.

I didn't get into Twilight until after the dvd release so I didn't see it in the theatre...was there much screaming? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  9. DANI,

    OOOOOOOOO PREGNANT?
    CAN YOU NAME HER BELLA?

my best friends wife is having a girl and their naming her bella,
funny thing, when they were talking about names, i kept joking with him to have his wife name it bella, so he suggested it, and she loved the name, and thats the name they've picked, and she isnt even interested in seeing twilight...
    LOL

  10. U guys are making me bervous. they are not on sale here yet but im going to the theater tomorrow to find out!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Does it start only at midnight? I was hoping to give myself a week-late birthday treat on Friday, November 20, early in the day, if possible, when the screamers are (hopefully) at school.

actually my birthday is a week before, so i should have a twilight lunch and movie huh?

BITCHIN, THAN I CAN FORCE ALL MY FRIENDS TO GO WITH ME... LOL

    ReplyDelete
  16. HMMM- if seeing the film November 20 would be a week late present to myself, that would make my birthday...... :-D

    ReplyDelete
  17. AHhh-- do we share birthdays then? And half-year birthday with ROb?

    ReplyDelete
  18. hmmmmm, Midnight showing - I'd love to do that, but I'll probably wait until Saturday. There will be plenty of time to see it numerous times...:) So will New Moon top Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince for the opening weekend? My DH and I are arguing this one....

  19. @RP for Dummies...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am most def not team Jacob. LOL!

I just thought this was the best written out of the books and the longing and anticipation until we see Edward and Bella together again was so worth the read. What he says to he when they get back from Italy and how they reunite.

    Its magical...awww tears.

    ReplyDelete
  20. @ RP for Dummies again...

I don't know the sex yet, I have another 3 weeks for that. But if its a girl we are thinking about Leighton, and if its a boy most definitley Corbin.

Too many peeps be naming their kiddos Bella after these dang books. Like the folks who run out and get some cheesy quote from the book branded on their necks and wrists.

Come back to reality people...they are books, entertaining books at that but they aren't literary genius by any means. I can count about 200 gramatical errors in Breaking Dawn alone.

    ReplyDelete
  21. DANI,

OK, BUT COULD WE MAYBE GIVE IT ROBERTS NAME IF ITS A BOY?

your husband wont mind, at least you could name it patz, that way no one will know but us k?

  23. beating harry potter and transformers opening weekend HELL YES,lets hope they use ROB to do more promotion than taylor because the fans want to see rob not him.

    ReplyDelete
  24. "I can count about 200 gramatical errors in Breaking Dawn alone."

Dani, have you noticed how many times she uses the word glared in Twilight? You can make a drinking game out of it she uses it so many times. Obviously she needed a better editor than the one they gave her, I can see for the first book the might not have, but after that hit big, you would think they would get a better person on it. The books really need some tightening up.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I really do love these books, but something that really bothered me was how many times she used the word "mouthed" throughout the series. Bella hardly says anything out loud, she's always "mouthing" stuff. I mean, use it a couple of times for impact, but then let it go!!

grrr, it became such a peeve of mine I had to skip over it while reading!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Now that you mention it, you're right! That's glared & mouthed, anybody have any other words?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dani and Marna,

I've only read Twilight and there were not only grammatical errors but many parts of it read very weirdly. SM needed an editor for the editor of those books! And English is not even my first language.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Insanity..... I guess I won't get to see it for a couple of weeks or so after ;) lol. Well I got my older sister into it so at least someone else to go with :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Marna

Damn I wish I could remember this blog, but this chick actually counted and posted all the errors in the books. Breaking Dawn was the absolute worst of course. But she told of how she went through with a red pen and damn that thing was a hot mess.

Stephanie Meyer is not a 'great' writer she had a fabulous idea and created a great bunch of characters that so many have fallen in love with. But mark my words she will NEVER have the success she has gotten with Twilight.

Furthermore the editors of those books are for shit and should be kicked repeatedly about the groin region for failing at their jobs. All said and done SM is making a shit load of cash on this enterprise and I will not be reading any other books of hers. Twilight Saga is it for me. Im not sure that I could stand the crappy writing and poor editing in another book.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I tried to tackle the SM 'The Host' and it was the most boring book I have ever STARTED to read....never finished the first chapter.

SM is milking the Twilight Franchise she needs to thank a number of people for her wealth...

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think we need to question the SOURCE for the story about the pre-sale New Moon tickets. That source is someone that lives here in Southern California where I do and I don't know where they are getting their (questionable) info but anyone with half a brain knows you can go to Movietickets.com or Fandango and search a title, put in a zip code and search for MILES around it. I did that for ALL of Southern California and in New York. If Los Angeles and NYC don't have them available yet, no one else does!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I guess as a reader when I want to read pulp fiction for escapism I do and don't worry too much about its construction. That's because when I want to read a "real" book and by that I mean a quality piece of literature, I then have high expectations of it and pick it to pieces. Or analyse it to pieces or both. Twilight is definitely pulp fiction and for all its 'glaring' faults I still love it and re-read it. Just dipping into Eclipse again. Tent scene anyone? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  33. @ Temptation as much as I have enjoyed SM books the host didn’t interest me either.
Speaking of books just finished Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse books. I devoured them with just as much speed as Twilight saga, so much fun to read. I loved to read Edward and Bella love story, but Sookies supernatural world is all kinds of awesome.
@ JandR I was seriously considering flying to Sydney for NM premier but hubby would most likely have me committed lol. Wallis here in Adelaide are doing midnight screening too, can’t wait! Bring on Nov 18 :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Mandy you leave hubby at home why do you think we are all going to Sydney, to DITCH the HUBBIES.....

The OZ Girls are reading The Bronze Horseman at the moment by Paulina Simons, for me that is just wonderful I am going through it much quicker than Twilight and most of us seem to be loving it.....Very horny sex scenes...puuuurrrrfect reading...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh God, I will wait a few days probably, or at the very least go when I know the screamers won't be there! If anyone screamed through my NM viewing, I'd probably snap and have to open a can of whoop ass to shut them up!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. HAYSTACK you are just like me, I had to see Twilight Heaps of times before I could really enjoy it because it opened over School Holidays and it was full of Teenage girls squealing.

When the kids went back to school all the mums came out of hiding, it was very funny...they let out groans not squeals...

  37. RP4D-- This year, my birthday is on a very good, doubly blessed day: Friday the 13th. :-). So I would like, as I said, to give myself a week-late birthday present of going to an early day showing of New Moon, if possible.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi Mandy

Hi and welcome to the Aussie Robsessors!! LOL So with you in Adelaide we are now officially spread right across the countryside. We get on fb and msn and have chat outside the blog if you are interested at all. Must warn you though we are mostly cougars!! LOL Love to chat sometime.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hi Tempt - hey I have missed you!! How was the sore head after last Friday night? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wasn't Rob in Mexico just gorgeous? I love where he puts his head down and smiles at the end. Such a sweetheart! :-)))

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hello missy - I am talking to Orion on the calender thread....No I didn't have a hangover and thankfully I was only tipsy.....you should see how bad I am drunk....

    ReplyDelete
  42. Even though I so want to see NM, I can't take all the screaming tweens so I'm going to grit my teeth and wait a few days, take a day off from work and go see it during the day when the kids are in school! LOL!!! A woman has to do what a woman has to do!

    ReplyDelete
  43. *waves* to JandR & fellow Aussie Robsessors!
Oh tempt ditching hubby & 3y old to have girls weekend anywhere would be heaven. You girls will have a great time, the atmosphere will be buzzing in Sydney & you can get away with fangirling all the fuck you want lol. Someone at work recommended the bronze horseman too, very horny sex scenes is always WIN. Once I recover from my Sookie Stackhouse hangover, I think I’ll definitely check this out.
A chat on fb or msn with you girls sometime should be fun. I don’t know at what point you become a cougar but I am definitely past being able to get away with sticking & licking all my Rob stars of Twilight posters on my bedroom wall LMAO.
I have added my hotmail email to profile. How you I look you up?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hi Mandy - I've emailed you so you can find me on fb if you want to...

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yup, cleared my calendar for a long weekend beginning on Friday the 20th.

I am going to try to sit through a midnight showing locally..

Then plan to see it again with fellow Robsessors on the east coast.

I can't wait! I wonder how many times I can view it in a four day span, covering several states~!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hey sounds like a plan Suz!!! I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hi JandR! did you read my post from a previous thread?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hi LindaRose - will have to check back and see. Was it about the Twi con thing?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yeah, but I'll copy and past here for you! Oh, I just pre-ordered my HTB DVD!!!!

Re Twicon in Parsippany ~ No I didn't go but when I first heard about it I asked one of my friends who also is a Twilight fan if she wanted to go. I'm so glad she said she couldn't. Why? Because if Rob was there I think I would be awestruck. And that doesn't usually happen to me when I see a celeb, but he would do that to me. :)

Re HTB ~ Just read your post on the other thread. Thanks for figuring that out for me. I thought it sounded something like that but I wasn't sure. Oh and I figured out what Oliver said too after the indistinct part, he asks Rob "what are you laughing about (or at)". I too love HTB Rob. He's so cute there, totally unaffected. I can't wait till November when it comes out on DVD here.

Talk to you tonight or tomorrow AM when I'm back at work early!

    ReplyDelete
  54. @LindaRose - or about NM?
or you just ordered your HTB dvd - I am so jealous - I can't find out if it is being released in Australia yet... :-(

    ReplyDelete
  55. @LindaRose
I guess I truly don't think there is ever a chance I would meet Rob in person so it gives me more freedom to Robsess. If I did meet him I would be sooo embarrassed thinking of all the things I had said about him and thought I'd like to do with and to him that my face would go bright red and I'd prob faint at his feet! LOL At least I know gentleman that he is he would fan me until I regained consciousness and then let me lean on him to recover....LMAO In my dreams

    ReplyDelete
  56. @LindaRose
someone else gave me this link to a smokin hot Rob - sex eyes - if you want to check it out!!
    Enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  57. @LindaRose - I just set that pic of Rob as my computer background - OMG - weak at the knees....LOL

    ReplyDelete
  58. Or he may just laugh that lovable laugh of his as a nervous reaction! :) I would definitely be star struck!

I ordered both the HTB and Haunted Airman DVDs. Unfortunately I have to wait till end of Oct and beginning of Nov for both. I guess you don't share the same DVD region as the UK then huh?! Now I'm just waiting for LA to come out on DVD.

    ReplyDelete
  59. @JandR ~ which pic?

    ReplyDelete
  60. JandR ~ Oh, that pic. LOL!!!

Did you see the one with him as Edward and Bella almost kissing from the same mag? Very HOT!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. He does have the best laugh - so free and uninhibited!! Hence the search for it on HTB!! My region is different from US and UK but I have had dvds from other regions copied over before now - could maybe do it again?? I want to own all my own copies of his stuff too. He looks delectable as a young Dali before the moustache...ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hey LindaRose - Rob seems to confirm in that interview that Bel Ami is in the planning...hope so wouldn't that be delicious!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I know what you mean. I'm so dorky I ordered all the DVDs of him that I could get. The only one I'm missing besides LA is Bad Mother's Handbk. I agree about him in LA. So open and naive in the beginning. I love the part in LA when he returns to school before Federico and he decorates his room and then he gives in to his desire and they kiss. It was so tender and had a funny little moment to about what he should wear.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Oh I know I read the article too. I really hope he does do Bel Ami. To see him in all those love scenes. Oh my!! But what will happen to his psyche when he finally slows down?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Haven't been able to watch LA properly yet.. Bad Mother's Handbook is fun - again he is so sweet...mmmm

    ReplyDelete
  66. I was lucky enough to catch it on YouTube before it was taken down for copyright reasons. You will thorougly enjoy it once you see it. Rob did such a good job that you forget it's Rob and you only see Dali. The whole cast was very good.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yes he is a great actor. Not so much in Harry Potter though. He admits he didn't have a clue what he was doing then LOL

I find him convincing in everything else. He has saif that Tyler is the closest to him in character so RM should be interesting...

    ReplyDelete
  68. Did you like Dali's work?? There is a fantastic exhibition on in Australia in Melbourne (across the other side of the country from me though - LOL) - it is called Liquid Desire. Rob got into reading up on Dali and his life - bet he learnt a few things from that! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yes I know, how exciting!. RM will make me bawl my eyes out!! I've read the script. He looks so delicious in it. When I first got into him it was only from Twilight but I was so impressed and happy that he could act in other movies as well! He was the best looking dork I've ever seen in BMH!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes, I do like Dali's work. I learned about him in my Art History class when I was going to school. But his eccentricity later on was almost comical. But it was probably a mask for all his insecurities about his sexuality. As for his art, he was very arrogant about it but he should have been.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I've read the RM script too! Wish I'd stopped before the end but hey - just hope it doesn't get leaked too widely cos it will spoil it for people. He will be awesome in it. I feel like I've seen it already with all the pics of him from set but still I can't wait to see it!

    ReplyDelete
  72. music, art, wine, books and peace - oh and Rob - we sure do have a lot in common LindaRose!! And you work in graphic design. I am in the arts industry but museums and heritage. My son is a talented graphic artist - only 14 but hope he gets to explore his ability in the future!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Got to go LindaRose - too many late nights for me Robsessing and fanfic-ing. OMG The Office - if you haven't yet - you should so go there!!! Great chatting and hope to catch you again soon. Cheers, J x

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yes, we do have a lot in common. What do you do with the museums and heritage? I always wanted to have art history as my minor. I do love it so.

That's wonderful that your son is so talented at age 14. I hope that he continues with it. Imagine what the industry will be like by the time that he enters the work force. Is there a specific area that he is interested in?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Good night! Next chat will have to be about that FF stuff! :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. I know most of you lovely ladies are in a land far far away :) but for any New York fans out there, any one has any special screening info? Or, premier night?

They are not on sale in So Cal or anywhere else yet...this comment thread has gone COMPLETELY off topic and as a result the people who are asking relevant questions with regards to the ticket sales (or lack thereof) are not getting the info they need. I am just saying...if you want to discuss other topics, go to a relevant thread or message board.
