Our reader Tracy tells us that: Little Ashes is due out in South Africa on October 23rd 2009 at certain theatres. So far I have only confirmed that Ster-Kinekor theatres will be showing it (www.sterkinekor.com), but we can hope that the other major chain will jump on the bandwagon.
I wish they released the Little Ashes Soundtrack. The music is absolutely amazing...
I just got the chance to finally see Little Ashes and it was really good. It made me cry, and I wasn't expecting that. Rob did a really good job being that it was his learning experience. There was a wide range of emotions and situations that only a talented actor could pull off.
Nah, I'm sure he'll have a bunch of diverse roles under his belt long after the Twilight phenom is over. It may take some years but I have no doubt in my mind.
I'm with you on the release of his other movies. I want to see his acting chops!
I guess that's another one that I have to put on my list to read. I'm still trying to get over TO!! I'm going to read WA next. Never read them at work unless you have a BB to help you along. ;)
Marz - That cracked me up! Canada can't be all bad, right? After all, Mr. Sexy-pants Pattinson is currently residing there. I'm jealous you're even in the same country as him. :)
@Emily - Nah, you're right. Canada does NOT blow, but Little Ashes wasn't shown in many theatres (especially not in Alberta... the most conservative province in Canada).
It just makes me sad that this AMAZING movie didn't get nearly as much attention as was owed it, in my country. Rob is too talented not to have the chance to show his range and in my opinion, he was perfect as Dali.
I feel bad for bad-mouthing Canada. *hides face in embarrassment* I'm just disappointed in our preference of blockbusters over movies with substance. Also, I wish Rob would come to Alberta for a quick tour... I'd be happy to be his personal guide, haha!
I just had this crazy idea as I was looking through an EW video of Dorian Gray starring Ben Barnes (he's also british, why are all these british guys GORGEOUS!!) that why don't he and Rob make a british version of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN?? two of the most handsome man in showbiz doing up each other..uh-huh
rpattzgirl: LYLS gets yummier, let me know what you think when finished. Yes, FF has taken over me. I've read many stories and I'm thrilled there are so many talented writers sharing their works. When you get a chance check out The Red Line by winndsinger. I just dying to find out what others think of this story and its completed so no waiting for the next chapter to be posted.
rpattzgirl....let me just clarify that The Red Line isn't for everyone (regarding the subject matter) so don't read it if it offends you in anyway. It was just a suggestion.
its sick, its twisted, its perverted ,its ranchy ,its depraved, its just.......i have no more words but most of all its fu** HOT,iam in FF heaven right now and i dont want to leave and sweet innocent bella swa*** DAMN WA IS HOTTTT
I really want to see Little Ashes. I know that Rob was awesome. He is a very talented actor and I really do believe that he is headed for an Oscar too!! I know that there is more to Rob than his total hottness!!
I liked the movie too. Watched it in Canada. Honestly, I liked it better than "Twilight". Maybe because the Javier was a better kisser and he really planted them on Rob. Tee-hee :3
How do make a demand to get the soundtrack released? Can you get it from iTunes? I don't know how this kind of thing works. :S
Me too Gozde, it's some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard-just the first few notes and I tear up!
ReplyDeleteGood morning to all the Robsessed ladies.
ReplyDeleteI just got the chance to finally see Little Ashes and it was really good. It made me cry, and I wasn't expecting that. Rob did a really good job being that it was his learning experience. There was a wide range of emotions and situations that only a talented actor could pull off.
If you get a chance,see it,you won't regret it.
Made me cry too-and he was brilliant in the movie-it's still my favorite Rob movie to date...
ReplyDeleteI agree, Rob did an excellent job. Just imagine what the future holds for him as an actor. I see an Oscar in his future!!
ReplyDeleteI do too, unless Oscar folks hold Twilight against him.
ReplyDeleteNah, I'm sure he'll have a bunch of diverse roles under his belt long after the Twilight phenom is over. It may take some years but I have no doubt in my mind.
ReplyDeleteI for one can not WAIT for Remember Me, and Unbound Captives & Bel Ami!!
ReplyDelete(and NM & Eclipse & Breaking Dawn)

Canada blows! They had limited release and only in select cities. How uncool is that? I guess I should wait for its DVD release...

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how tall Javier is? Because he seems taller than Rob and Rob is 6'1" or is it 6'2"?

I was lucky enough to live in a city that did show it in one theater, and got to see it on opening day.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of cities didn't, and that is sad.
Marz,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Rob would love that!
Wow, I just watched the video where that drunk chick calls Kristen a bitch-
ReplyDeleteSome people should never be allowed to leave their homes-
Besides Rob the soundtrack really did catch by attention at LA.
ReplyDeleteLet Your Light Shine--- only gets better...yum.
Just wanted to share this vid on YouTube because it made me smile!

ReplyDeleteyou recommend ?
I liked the movie too. Watched it in Canada.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I liked it better than "Twilight". Maybe because the Javier was a better kisser and he really planted them on Rob. Tee-hee :3

The sound in general in LA is great. The music, Javier reading Lorca, the wind in the grass, the sea and Rob crying.
ReplyDeleteThis piece was composed by Miguel Mera, I believe, who did much of the original music for LA.

Maybe he will know about any release plans...
