How Old Are You? (New Poll)

According to the poll we conducted in April 2009 : 32% of the readers were teenagers, 10% was under 15, more than 50% was between 21-40.

Let's see if that has changed:

Age is a matter of mind, if you don't mind it doesn't matter :)

  1. Well according to you Gozde I am not a cougar either..I am just ROBsessed LOL! Happy to be just that *grins*

  2. Cougar... lol That made me laugh in NM when Bella tells Jacob that she's "not into the whole cougar thing" lol
Out of subject but, oh well ;)

  3. cougar can be a older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man.... LOL
I'm not a cougar, because I do not frequest clubs looking for a younger man..
BUT I am older that Robert and I love him soooo much... so I'm a cougar?

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm 44!

I'm no cougar - I'm just a mature woman who appreciates good looks and talent. I'm not planning on dating the man - just like lookin' at him!

  5. I am proudly waving my Cougar flag. Or at least I think I am. I am in the 41-50 category.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Im a proud 20something :D

But who is the person "over 80"? XD

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well I guess that for the first time of my life I am a cougar... Or could be for the one and only person that makes me feel that way!
This word is so "funny". There has never been anything "wrong" with men dating young women but it's different when it's the other way round...

  8. 42. Cougar? If it means I love this boy to death...yes. That I would date him in heartbeat, yes.
But if it means I love 20 year olds as a rule, no! Rob's just special....

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hi! A proud 44 here. I'm with Moonbeam...I just want to look at him. Its also fun to put a face to all the FF that I read :)

But my fantasy consists of making him a nice dinner, listen to him extol the works of Virgil and play me a little piece on the piano...all while my hubby pours another glass of wine for us. :)

  10. I think we defined cougar a while back as the over 40 crowd. under 40 was a panther, then over 50 was puma I think.

    I'm a panther.

I love the 8 votes already for 61-70!!! you go girls!!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. as for age, I am 43 and ROB is actually the ONLY 20 something guy I have been drooling over...

    ReplyDelete
  12. I am a 36year old who is in love with only one 23 year old man and that of course is our dear Robert :))

Liz - you made me laugh with your comments throwing your DH into your dream.

RPG - i havent talked to you, how was Sam??? I am home today, snow day for my son so i took the day off. it NEVER snows here and we got 3 inches overnight, i know not much but for here a very bid deal.

  13. I just had my birthday yesterday (and I got a little drunk too Gozde)so I'm still in the 51-60 range. I'm not alone! I love Rob.

  14. Damn...ROBsessed is Cougar Town!

    I love it!!!

I'm 45...and I don't think there's anything wrong with being an admirer of a thing of beauty like Rob...

  15. Ana73,
Sam was brilliant! He totally rocks the house. He's funny, charming, of course, very funny.
I met him, got a hug & a photo with him. Need to get them developed this weekend.

  16. I'll be 27 this month! I figure there shouldn't be much problem with me checking out a 23 year old--my husband is 24, not even an entire year older than him...so... :D

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm a puma and my younger friends at work just don't believe I'm not really lusting after Rob. I was beginning to not believe myself until I read some of the comments here. Yay, I'm not alone. My dream same as Liz's without the hubby (don't have one), so might be a big hug and little (chaste)kiss involved.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 37yrs. old and love love every bit of Rob.

    ReplyDelete
  19. What the heck is a puma? I just about caught up on cougar, lol.

Anyway, I'm 26. What does that make me, a cougar cub?

    ReplyDelete
  20. RPG - that is so cool, i am glad that you went. did you see an EP update went up over night, i am about to read it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Old lady, earth mother, and ancient soul here, no desire to bed or even date the lad, but appreciate beauty and talent and have hardly ever seen it done together so nicely; also very protective and hope for the best for himself always.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well, I'm a kitten...a sex kitten. A sex kitten in the way say, Demi Moore is a sex kitten, that is to say I would be the more experienced. Purr.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Okay blah. The blackberry won't let me view the poll. *hits bb*

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ana73,
No didn't see it yet.. at work! Gah..going to see NM again after work, then will read EP!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I second dra's question. Same situation here; actually I am muuuch older than Rob...
And I do not mind! :)))

    ReplyDelete
  26. rpatzgirl- now that is dedication. Wish I could spend the afternoon that way!!!

Can one of you come over to babysit so I can go see New Moon again, then read fanfiction til I fall asleep dreaming of Rob/Edward?

  27. I am a happily married 44 year old woman who has become completely fascinated by this 23 year old man. I have been trying to figure out what it is that has brought me to this place, but I definitely don't consider myself a so-called "cougar". I think this is just a movie star crush that I never experienced when I was younger because Rob didn't exist then. In my opinion, there has never been another man like him. He is obviously one amazing individual to have such a diverse fan following. I don't want to hunt him down, I just want to listen to him, look at him and enjoy him. I want to see him have every happiness and success that he truly deserves. He has been blessed with great talent, beauty and heart and just knowing he exists makes my heart happy! Cheers to you all and thank you Goz for EVERYTHING ROB!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well, according to Angela, I am a cougar then...
    Forty f*ng six here! Uhhuuu!!
And in love with Rob, too! <3

    ReplyDelete
  29. Juliet4Rob,I feel the same way.

    crazy vamp, how are you?

Okay if you can do it so can I. I am 45. Love Rob...not just any 23 year old...only Rob.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi, ADM!... I'm fine, got a cold, but it is better now. And you?

Sooo... you'r 45! We are in the same pool! I had to laugh when Bella made the comment in the movie about the cougar thing... And now I just knew that I am a cougar! Though I don't go after 20's or 30's (or any age) men.

DH is hot and a bit jealous!
Still not a clue about Rob... :))

    ReplyDelete
  31. crazy vamp, I am good. Getting ready to go see New Moon, again.

Yeah, 45, I do not go after younger men at all. Rob has completely blind sided me. Never expected this at my age. That boy is fine and has amazing fans. Wish he had a clue about his Real fans.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm 24.

This makes what? What is smaller than cougar and even smaller than puma? A cat???

I can be a cat, for Rob... :D

I'm so surprised, happily surprised of course that there are hundreds of women at so very different ages that are mesmerized by Robert, his talent, his beauty and his beautiful soul.

And he always claims that it's only 12,13 year olds that like him.
We should send him the results of this poll !!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. @ Butterfly: my 13 y.o. DD introduced me to Rob. She had a crush on him. Luckly, she all Team Taylor now! It would be strange if we had the same crush.
Though she likes Brad Pitt as much as I do, too. Hmm...
Yes, you should be a cat. And kristen is a kitten.

  35. ADM, yeaaaah his 'real' fans are not teens. See that pool? 30-40 and 40-50! Older women know better!
He should know that already, since he had a crush on Patricia Archette... :))

  36. What is going on with that blog? It sent my comment to the moon, I wrote it again and then the blog posted it twice...
    WOW! 'Big brother' around??

I've lived for 52 years but
    I'm 20 in my heart

    ReplyDelete
  40. Lizzi-so you and I are in the same age chronologicaly and psychologcally. ;-) I often say I am 17 (sometimes I say 19) with over 30 years of experience at it. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  41. @rpattzgirl -I'm a proud puma too. But forever 21 in my heart. Rob is the only 23 yr old that I fantasize about -and of course I'm 21 in said fantasies. I throughly enjoy looking and listening to the most beautiful man on the planet. Doesn't matter how old you are to do and enjoy that! Hell yeah!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm 30, but look like 20 and i still feel like 20. I'll be a cougar maybe for ten years.

bwahahaha no not really..but one day damnit..that's my ultimate goal..trolling for young men is gonna be hella fun when I'm 40 ;)

    ReplyDelete
  45. @juliet4rob -god you said that soooo well! Exactly how I feel. I have such a hard time putting my finger on what he is, what he does to so many women of all ages. And I have a hard time expressing it as well. So I just feel and think of him every day and check my blogs and le sigh. I'm also happily married with 2 grown children. My DH knows of my obsession and thinks I'm nuts but I know I'm not! I just come here and know I've got oddles of company!! Love you guys- and Godze, Kate and Dani!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Don't think of myself as a cougar. How i hated that word. I felt the same way for Rob when i met my first "crush" or love when i was 15. He reminds me of my "Romeo" not in a tragic sense though. I'm a strong person and can manage my Robsession.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Denise, you're close to my age:D

I guess we can call ourselves "cats", as we are neither "cougars" nor "pumas", what do you think about that?

    ReplyDelete
  48. OMG I just realized when I'm 40..Robert will be 33..PERFECT~!!! woohoo

    ReplyDelete
  49. Im a a46 Robsessed and not ashamed of it!
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ohh,there are even a couple of votes from ladies over 80. Wonderful:D

I'd pay a lot to see Robert's reaction to this poll. I guess he would be just super embarrassed or he'd just be like: "pffft, that's impossible, I'm not that great"

    ReplyDelete
  51. @ Solas
Ha ha! Yes definitely 30 years experience!
Glad I'm not alone and I love your sensible, down to earth posts by the way!

    ReplyDelete
  52. This age thing is... to coin a Robism 'weird'...I mean I look at women in my Grandmother's day and they looked like old women.... Some women in their 60's these days look about 30 or even younger...why is that? Or is this down to the fact that women are more liberated and in control these days? Intersting.....

    ReplyDelete
  53. Sorry that should say 'interesting'...from a woman who has had two bottles of cider....oh heck....

    ReplyDelete
  54. Well, guess I'm a puma now. RAWR. In my head, 25. LOL. And I would totally do him if given the chance, and I'd like to think I's leave him with a smile. LOL. Experience is a good thing. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Lizzi==even in my motehr's day-- when my mother was my age, she (and all of her friends) already looked like an old lady; I think part of that is from smoking--it ages a person.
Most when meeting me think I see my sisters, my friends, and myself, and we do not look like old ladies the previous generations did.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hard question... It's my birthday next week and then I change category ;)

    ReplyDelete
  57. @Haystackhair... You said it right the way I was thinking about it! Anywhere, anytime and he would never ever forget it ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'M 42 AND SO NOT ASHAMED FOR MY ROBSESSION !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I feel so much better now! I'm, gasp, 46 (yes, twice our dear Rob's age). He's definitely my "celebrity crush"---last one I had was probably one of the Hardy Boys, way back in the day.

I blame my son---gave me this book, goes by the title of "Twilight", this past Mother's Day. 3 dvd copies, tattered covers on all 4 books, Midnight Sun on a flash drive in my purse, YouTube vids/wallpaper/you name it, and yes, now Twi ff. (It wasn't my fault! Stupid book...) ;)

    ReplyDelete
  60. sorry-that posting was incoherent! Hopefully you get the idea! (I was going to type that most when seeing me think I am in my 30s, but it sounded too much like my mother-out-law who, when she became a grandmother at age 45, freaked out and kept saying--I don't look like a grandmother, do I???)

My older sisters are 60 and 61 and look more like previous generations' women in their 40s.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Gwen--my only celebrity crush was Davey Jones of the MOnkees, when I was about 10.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'm 26 !!!! but I already did the math if he's from May and i'm from August, the difference between us is not even 3 years ...LOL... One can only dream....

    ReplyDelete
  63. OMG! There are so many of us here! I mean, 'more mature' women. And I seriously thought that some of you (that I already know by your names and comments) were in your 20's or perhaps 30's...
    WOW! :-0

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well if we're going to talk about old crushes my first significant one was Donny Osmond...God I adorded hi....still have a soft spot for him. Then John Travolta...Saturday Night Fever....my friend and I watched that film 11 times at the cinema; then bizarrely....Gary Numan from Tubeway Army (Are Friends Electric?' Another Londoner....my friend and I found out where he lived and went down to his village one Saturday....met his Mum and Dad who gave us a lift back to the train station...nice people....then we blew it...long story...but I grew up LOl

    ReplyDelete
  65. @ Haystackhair!!
*quietly*: I bet I could leave him with a smile too... Hmm...

    ReplyDelete
  66. @ lizi!! John Travolta here 2!
I have poster of him all over my bedroom... My brothers teased me so much cos of him!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Oh, I am 36 and I am hopelessly Robsessed. I was frustrated about it at first, ‘cause I had my celebrity crush already when I was teen. But now, at 36 and with the same/evn more intense!!! It started a year ago like out of control, I thought I was insane.
I am happy now and I am not alone!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ladies from around the world! This has been a great day with some great posts! We might make it through the drought if we stick together and keep the haters out...
This is a fantastic place to be... I love reading all your comments and some are really fun...
Now, it's week-end time. I'm passing on to Mother mode for my little man...
Have a nice week-end and see ya all real soon...

    ReplyDelete
  69. * I HAD John Travolta's posters all over my bedroom... no, i do not anymore. Still admire him a lot, tho.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm 20 so I'm closer to Kristen-kitten than to a cougar.. That's fine with me :D

    ReplyDelete
  71. @ Crazy Vamp
Do you remember his strut at the beginning of the film to the beat of the music? My God it used to turn me and my friend wild! Ha ha!
    Happy happy days.....sigh...

I know this may sound corny but Rob is so lucky to have such a diverse group of women as his fans..is this unprecedented? For a 23 year old????

    ReplyDelete
  72. lizzibee, HE himself is unique, so HE must have unique fans:D

    ReplyDelete
  73. My first celebrity crush was Shaun Cassidy. Rick Springfield followed after him.

    ReplyDelete
  74. ROB ON LADIES! lol I'm just 8months older than rob but would proudly call myself a "cougar" if I was older. =D I love this blog and i love all u ladies!

  75. i like your site,is the best, sorry for my english!I am 49 and i love Rob but is the only young guy i love so i am not a ...cougar(i hope)I love him but i d'ont want dating him!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hi to all the incredible Rob-fans cougars of the world! I`m another one. 46 yeap, and very proud! and soooooo happily married...but I`m dying for Rob..OMG, HE IS AMAZING1
I visit Robsessed LIKE 5 TIMES EVERY DAY, I`m so obsessed...I think it`s insane but it makes me so happy every time. I also have it on my twitter and I laught so much with Gozde and Kate`s funny remarks...they really sparkle!GO GIRLS!
I`ve never felt this way about any body, or actor before...it`s just Rob. I`m crazy about him and this will certainly sound strange, but I do really feel that Robward has improve my marriage....It`s hard to explain but it`s a reality. So thank you Rob, Stephanie, and Robsessed. I LOVE YOU GUYS VERY MUCH!
Please excuse my english and greetings from Latin America!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi Ladies!
I'm back from seeing NW for the first time! I feel sparkly. It was awesome! There was hardly anyone else in there: a couple pairs of girlfriends, and then a handful of lone women, like me. We gave each other shameful, sisterly, sideways glances as we took our seats. Silence throughout--no gasping at half-naked hotness, no laughing at Hansel & Gretel...just silent transfixion. Rob was SO gorgeous, despite the clothes. I will say that it was a little Hollywood for me. And I really missed the Twilight score. But I totally loved the movie, and it flew by fast! And I was also pleasantly surprised that Taytay was able to turn me on a little. (don't arrest me). Well after saying that, I certainly can't confess my age, now can I??

    ReplyDelete
  78. Good grief, I may be the one of oldest ones here [61-70]. Desire and appreciation of a pretty man never ends, ladies, especially when you get someone as special as Rob. He just has no age limit at all. My daughter is disgusted, #1 son is embarassed, #2 son is amused and tolerant, husband is confused. He keeps asking when the life size cutout is going to arrive.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Wow... after just 5 hours you've got 3,500 responders to the age poll. This is one BIG Robsessed family.

Makes me curious about someone else Gozde: how many hits do you get here a day, on average?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Laurie, LMAO @ your confused husband! oh, that is too funny...you definately need to get the cardboard Robward for Christmas! =)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Laurie: Funny!! My son has a crush on Alice (Ashley Green) and looked her up and found that she is seeing someone. When I told him "sorry" and said well I think Edward could be dating Bella in real life, he said "that sucks Mom" with a sorrowful look on his face. He's grieving with me at the unattainableness of these characters.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Well I'm 30, married and happy; but also so ROBsessed..He is so different and gorgeous...And this is the place, when my daughter goes to sleep, that i can laugh about different things and have a moment to myself!

    ReplyDelete
  83. @Laurie. I love you. Your post cracked me up!! I realized that I will be 76 and will still be watching Rob on the big screen when he is 43. God how he'll look at that age. Ok so now you've figured out I'm 56. But 21 forever. Btw my first celebrity crush was Sir Paul. Yep watching him on Ed Sullivan when I was 12. Guess I have a thing for Brits!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I'm in the puma category. I agree with Laurie. We may be more "mature" but we're not dead. I like beautiful men and Rob is top of the list. There's never been anyone like him--he's one of a kind and I admit I'm obsessed.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Waving my cougar flag - I am 49 (but feel about 32 :). My obsession with Rob is a strange animal - I am torn between lust and maternal protection. So I guess I wanna bang him, then make him a meal, then rub the top of his head and pinch his cheek???

I generally don't try to analyze it, I just enjoy my robsession.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I'm not a cougar yet O'm 22..but cougars are rocking the world these days
anyways I would like to say hi to everybody after long working days and thank goz, kate and dany and every1 here cause it's been exactly a year since I found this site and is my entertainment and salvation everyday ...thanks guys

    ReplyDelete
  87. This is my first comment after months od lurking. I just wanted you girls to know how much you all crack me up every day!! This is by far the best Rob site on the net! Thanks to the "Big 3" for everything that they do to feed our totally healthy Robsession!! Oh btw, I`m 28 almost 29...that`s not too old for our dear Rob, ya think?! =)

    ReplyDelete
  88. Oh boy...My birthday was just on Dec 1st. I'm 23 so hello to my Sag sistahs...

To the rest of my Rob dolls. I think you are all sex-kittens regardless of your ages. You make me laugh and I have to check in everyday to see what you guys have to say. You are all friends in my head. Like fine wine much better with time. Smooches All and thanks for the laughs!

  92. Well my birthday is tomorrow. I'm a Sagittarius.I'm grown. Enuff said. :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Puma here! First fell in love with Edward Cullen, then of course Rob IS Edward Cullen. Now, after watching this young man exude his own special style, you have to totally love Robert. He has all the qualities most women admire: loyalty, he's a gentleman, VERY good looking, sincere, humble, creative and you can just imagine him totally being into the person he loves. We can watch him through this great site, enjoying all these qualities, without the everyday worries that are present in real life. We can live our fantasies through Rob. This is part of why he is so special to me. All the above, plus he is f#@king HOT!!!! Love Robsessed!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Thanks all for the feedback If you haven't figured it out already my husband is a love!--added the cardboard cutout to my wish list.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm 24 and have no unrealistic dreams about Rob just hopeless fantasies.

I wanna meet someone in their 80's who's into Rob, I mean really meet in person. That would be kind of cool for me.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I'm 24 properly 9 months older than our Rob and I'm praud of being a part of this huge robsessed family;)

    ReplyDelete
  100. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! YAY ME!!! I made it through another year.

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Laurie Your post made me laugh :D My friends are either disgusted, think I'm crazy or just tolerate my celeb-crush thinking it too shall pass ;)

Btw, clarification on my last post: I go from 30 to 31 next week. BUt I was good and put myself in the second category already.... I am not afraid! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  102. @Shani Happy Birthday!!!!! I' still have 3 more days to go ;)

Btw, maybe we should try and set up a Robsessed meeting!! way in advance so I can get out of my little country to wherever it may be :D Would love to meet all of you!

    Go Rob...!

    have a nice week end...

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hey, Im 38. Single and fun. My and my girlfriends have great fun reading the books and going to the films. I dont want to marry him either but he is very handsome, shy and British!!! Top marks for Rob on all points!! Jacob is great in the film as well. I think the books are mostly about romance and whatever age you are ... everyone likes a bit of romance. I think the books (and actually the film New Moon) arent for "young girls" (I mean kinda 12 year olds etc) cause there is a lot of sexual tension in them. I thoroughly enjoy everything about Twilight. I also like Kristen Stewart and think Rob and her go well together in the films. I am ROBsessed also Ha Ha and will keep looking for "my edward" LOL X

    ReplyDelete
  105. In all my 45 years I have never seen such a perfect specimen of fuckhawt sexiness. In my teens I never crushed like this LOL

    ReplyDelete
  106. I agree with all of you. Robert is the sexiest man I ever see. He is something special, and he looks better every day. I've never have a crush like that when I was a teenager, I'am 39, but I feel as if I was 25. Looking at him makes my day happier.

    ReplyDelete
  107. *runs around site buck nakey waving pom poms* Im 35!! ROb and I share the same sign TIGER!! Marilyn Monroe too--. GOD BLESS THE COUGARS,PUMAS,PANTHERS, and little kitty cats (young girls) that love ole roberto!! This man can disarm me with that little boy smile and squinty eyes or talk like a wise old man dissecting everything, taking his time. Look at you with those eyes that promise nothing but lust (damn those hormones!),and making you pee with laughter. LOVE HIM!
