Robert Pattinson as your next door neighbour?

At first I wondered why the percentage was so low for the amount of people who would like to have Rob as a next door neighbour. Then I realized, we don't want him as our neighbour, we want him in the same house!

Strangest mix of celebs I've ever seen on the same poll!

Who would Americans most want to have next door? The Obamas (14%); comedian Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi (12); Palin (12%); Swift (9%); Oprah Winfrey (7%); Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen (3%); Woods (3%); and Twilight’s Robert Pattinson (1%).

And because no post is complete without a photo - here's one of my favourites, just because.

  1. What a great photo! Love his mis-buttoned shirt!!

I agree, not nextdoor, inside only!

  2. I'd want to live next to Oprah, because that would mean I lived in a REALLY nice house in a REALLY nice neighborhood! I'd be totes RICH!!

Of course, if I lived next to Rob, I'd be singing that silly "boy next door" song from Meet Me in St Louis all day and night...and I'd probably have a telescope set up, along with other surveillance equipment (including, but not limited to: binoculars, night vision goggles, motion detectors, video and audio equipment...) and eventually the FBI would break down my door and set me up in one of those fancy glass cages they had Hannible Lechter in in Silence of the Lambs....no...far better for me to live next to Oprah than Robert :D

  3. Hell fucking no I would not like the Obamas as my neighbors. I would torture the crap out of them. Idiotic Americans. Rob is a much better person to live with/be a neighbor to even though he thinks he is a boring person.

*sigh* Austin Rob, I wish I was back there to see him...how I miss my Austin home :(

    ReplyDelete
  4. How is Tiger Woods on both? Oh dear.

Hahaha, love the tag! "Rob as a neighbor would be too far away."
Agreed. I don't think I'd let Rob be in a different room. ;)

    And Lisa...I totally agree!

    ReplyDelete
  5. The golden zipper pants, long time no see.LOL...

If he were my neighbor I'd be watching him all the time. I'm to much of a chicken to go and introduce myself.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Adore the greasy mis-buttoned shirt!!!
I would love to have him as my neighbor where I could see him through a window every night (perv :)), then he would climb into my window and...
well it's ok to dream right? damn it!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh that's totally got my fantasy going for tonight.......Rob's family lives next door and he came home for the holidays and I'm going to take over some fudge to Claire and Richard for the family and just take a peek inside. Then go home and get my telescope and binoculars out!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Oh........I should have read the posts before mine before posting........we all have the same idea!!!!!!!! lol

    ReplyDelete
  9. @Lisa, I'm drinking a glass of wine and you made me laugh so hard! Telescope, got that. Binocs, NVG, check. Hmm, I have no idea how that stuff got here.

I'll have to settle for Rob being my neighbor; Hubs isn't likely to let him move in with us. He's funny that way.

Ellen and Portia, they'd be cool too. Rob can have one side, Ellen the other. I'm a GREAT neighbor! I bake and I share wine and I always, always have chocolate. And I love cats and dogs too. I might get a bit annoyed with the smoking, but if Rob smokes shirtless, well, then I'll just frown. And drool. And bake cookies for him. ; )

    ReplyDelete
  10. Lisa,
LMAO! You've got all the bases covered!!

Rob in one if our neighborhoods would be like wisteria lane... all the women fighting for his affections!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. RPG, I was thinking more like Big Love, just all take turns. Keep Rob really, really happy. He's young, he can handle it, er, us. I think. Maybe. Unless we've been drinking, then he may be in trouble...

    (That show rocks, btw.)

    ReplyDelete
  12. It seems to be a long time since I saw a pic of him misbuttoned his shirt... And actually I miss seeing him like that... More often than not, he misbuttoned his shirt before... but it seems like he got more careful and did that no more since a girl asked him about that in a TV show, which for now I can't remember the name :(... Rob in misbuttoned shirts was so adorkable...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Lisa, back awasy from the night vision goggles...easy now... ;) LMAO!

very strange poll. very hot pic!

and I think if we all lived on Wisteria Lane there would be some bitch-slappin' and wine tossing going on by now! haha I want to live next to Tom and Lynette, they're my favorites. =)

    ReplyDelete
  14. RPVN, it was on Jimmy Kimmel, and I loved it that she asked that question, but if it's caused him to stop doing that I'm a sad panda! I love his misbuttoned shirts. :(

    ReplyDelete
  15. Gwen,
Big Love? Yea it would be big love, but I wouldn't want to share...think I'd be selfish!

    RPVN,
that was on Jimmy kimmel, I think..shirts haven't been misbuttoned since, dammit!

    ReplyDelete
  16. So did he go into the place with his shirt like that or do you think maybe the shirt came unbuttoned "somehow" during the evening? ; )

(Gwen's thinking naughty thoughts. And is refilling her glass because today felt like a freaking Monday.)

    ReplyDelete
  17. RPG! OMG LMAO. And I'm still LOL. I'm never going to be able to say Big Love with a straight face again.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh come on...you all know that if Rob lived next door, you'd have the same set up I have~er~would have ;)

Once I capture him...I mean, once he voluntarily wanders into the big cage I have in the basement (no holes or telling him to rub the lotion on his skin...I'll do the lotion rubbing, thank you very much ;) we can work out our schedule. We're all adults here...I'm sure we can come up with some sort of Rob~schedule that works for us :D

    ReplyDelete
  19. I just read on another blog that someone claims they got a tweet, from someone who claims that Summit will be represented at the golden globes, and claims Rob will be there...
Hmmmmmm......aren't the GG's in Feb? Isn't that when Rob starts bel ami?
I'd love it to be true, but doubtful!

I'm curious if he will stay in
London up until that time, or go back to la?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hello? 911? I think Lisa has someone in her basement!
    Lmao, fantasies are the best!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lisa, it's not just gonna be the lambs who are screaming, if you know what I mean! *evilgrin* LOL

RPG, I know, it'll be interesting to see what happens after New Year's, I wonder if he'll be coming back to the states or not. I still can't believe that he made it through both airports and no pictures!

    ReplyDelete
  22. @ RPG~

Sadly, I don't have a basement. Stupid house is built on solid rock, so I'd have to stash Rob in my attic crawlspace or shove him in my messy closet. LOL But, hey, at least we don't flood when it rains :D

There's a picture somewhere of Rob looking thru some metal grating. I always send it to a friend of mine and tell her to either let Rob out of her cage, or at least share him with me :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. @ RPLover~

That's what the lotion is for, my dear :D

    ReplyDelete
  24. I understand the desire but I also wish people wouldn't bring some things up to Rob. Its one thing to enjoy them, but another to make him self-conscious and aware of the scrutiny. Had the same sort of experience - not buttons - and it was hard to be natural about it afterwards.

Er..this is beginning to resemble a rather strange neighbourhood...lol

    ReplyDelete
  25. RPL,

I know! I'm glad he made it w/o the photos...it will be very interesting to see what happens after new years... he said he needed to gain weight for ba, which I don't get as it seems mr duroy was always hungry... wonder if he's working on the weight?

They just repeated in the interview with Rob on access Hollywood... god he's adorable!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ah Kat, the AFF pics...be still my beating heart. Thanks for sharing again. I need to know what happened to those pants. I miss them and that misbehaving zipper.

A - I agree with you! Poor guy, he really was clueless about it. And it just made the girl who asked it look like a crazy stalker who analyzes his every outfit. Not that we would know anything about that.... but when you're on TV, be cool woman.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Emily!! how's it going? we were just saying that you and ADM have been MIA, hope you had a good Christmas. :)

join us in our weird and inches away from restraining orders neighborhood, LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi RPG, RPL! Yeah, I haven't had much of a chance for a break lately...it's just been one thing after another. I had a great Christmas. What about you ladies?

LOL @ "inches away from restraining orders neighborhood."

    ReplyDelete
  29. Emily... I believe Elie still has them, she was repairing the zipper of something.

Oh and the shirt was buttoned correctly before we met ;-) This was taken after!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi, Emily! Have a cookie! (Gwen is currently the neighborhood welcoming committee. Anyone else ever freaked out by The Stepford Wives?) ; ) This is a great neighborhood. We believe in bonding with one another and establishing very close ties.

(Seriously, how many of you went there? Gwen was kidding!)

    ReplyDelete
  31. So, ladies...Rob moves into the neighborhood...what do you bring over as his welcome gift?

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Kat, you're quick! I think there's a ff there.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Emily,
glad your was good.... mine was rocky but good as well...

We're just in Rob fantasy heaven right now..

    ReplyDelete
  34. Christmas was good, low-key but sometimes that's best. :)

hmmmm a bottle of wine and a box of Trojans? heehee

    ReplyDelete
  35. @ Gwen:

Loved the remake with Matthew Broderick, but the original scared the pants off me :D

    ReplyDelete
  36. @ Gwen~

Well, you have to have a pretense for going over to his house...like...say...a casserole or a pie or something. Then, once he invites you in, you whip off your simple black trench coat and reveal the black leather mini skirt and thigh high fishnets....

    ReplyDelete
  37. I honestly don't think I could write a Rob FF... I'll stick to old Eddie but might bring in miss-buttoned shirts to the story! Hmmm, good idea.

    ReplyDelete
  38. how 'bout a nice hot batch of corn on the cob? ;))

    sorry, I had to...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. Kat - LMAO! That's right! Damn Ellie...hogging the pants. How many months does it take to repair a zipper?

All things considered, I'd say he got put back together pretty well after your, uh, meeting. I'm sure he came onto you Kat. It's that hot accent...

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hmm, white chocolate chip cookies, iPod with lots of van Morrison, lots of massage oil, silky scarves, and deadbolts for the doors!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh RPL, you just had to go there, didn't you? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  42. RPG wants to be the Master of Rob's Universe, I see :D

    ReplyDelete
  43. ah, Em, you know it! hahaha

I'm thinking RPG's got the right idea...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Rpl,
    rotflmao!!!

    Corn on the cob!!!

    God I love his cob..

    ReplyDelete
  45. Emily... sadly Brit's are not impressed with my accent. It doesn't work the same charm. He did make a comment on Brit's in Austin... like I'm the only one ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  46. now I'm thinking a six-pack, some Kobe steak and a pair of handcuffs...XD

    ReplyDelete
  47. That's some long arse lists of 'welcome to the neighbourhood' goodies. I'd just take myself ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Lisa, yes, the original was freaking creepy! (Shudder. And gave me nightmares.)

Let's see, wine, candles, no need for music---Rob's piano will work quite nicely---maybe something yummy, chocolate mousse? Handc---- (Nevermind. I could go on as I've written more in other universes, but I'll stop now.)

Hope all the kiddies are asleep! My bad.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Lisa, I so have the black leather boots to go with that outfit! (Gwen's actually not kidding. Gwen's also blushing.)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Kat....I love his black skivvies... still wish I could see the treasure trail...but I still love it when you share these pix of your fuckawesome meeting with him!

    Muuuah!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Rpl,

poor Rob, he doesn't stand a chance with any of us.. but man he'd be one satisfied man!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Kat - I bet it's gotten you out of a few tickets though right?

Don't forget the lobster bib. What? I'm sure we could find a use for it.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @ Gwen~

And I have the whip to complete the outfit!

    ...seriously, I do...just because I'm an accountant doesn't mean I'm a dull girl :D

    ReplyDelete
  54. Emily... two tickets actually. My accent suddenly gets very strong when I get pulled over and it works a charm. I say that like it happens a lot - it does. I like speed!

    ReplyDelete
  55. RPG, he is no match for us, we've done our homework! LMAO

Emily, I'm sure we can come up with a use for the bib...I can be creative if I gotta! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  56. LOL, if he were my neighboor!! i know me and all my friends would always be hanging out with him partying, playing music, drinking having fun!! i know id make a cool neighboor for him :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Rob's accent! UC or BA, maybe? I'd love to see him in a movie with his actual accent. I'd squee like a fangirl. Well, more than usual.

    ReplyDelete
  58. RPL - It can get messy buttering those cobs, trust me.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Gwen, I would LOVE it if he could have a role and use his regular accent! It's one of the reasons I love RobArt like I do...

    ReplyDelete
  60. Emily I am thinking so many dirty things right now...I'm afraid I'll offend someone! LMFAO

    ReplyDelete
  61. Emily, I think the bib would make a mighty fine apron, as long as that is all he wears! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hi ADM! A mini-apron. That's quite a visual. And thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  63. @ Gwen~

Only if I can borrow the boots!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  64. ADM! how's it going? :)

I agree, that would be plenty for him to wear...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  65. (Gwen takes out a fresh batch of snickerdoodles and passes them around with love.)

God, this is so much better than last night! (Although catching up on ff wasn't all bad...)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hello RPL, all is well. Just got home this evening. I am back to Robsessing full time. I missed everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Gwen, ITA! and snickerdoodles are my faves, thanks. =)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Gwen, thanks for the snickerdoodle. Here have a praline.

    ReplyDelete
  69. ADM, we missed you, too! it was got pretty crazy around here last night, I was wishing for a conversation like this instead.

the second(?) meeting of the NBFRC is in full swing! haha

    ReplyDelete
  70. rob would be in trouble with any of the robsessors as his neighbor. he did say on ellen that he did want to settle down and buy a house, i wonder where...

    ReplyDelete
  71. oh, pralines!! the DH and I had went to New Orleans for our honeymoon and I haven't had a decent praline since, they are so damn good!

great, now I'm horny AND hungry. ;))

    ReplyDelete
  72. "It can get messy buttering those cobs, trust me."

Emily you made me spit my wine across the keyboard! I see you gals are already taking turns taking Rob into the back room cooking up some mischief. A pic like that will do it every time...

    ReplyDelete
  73. hi Ana! it's tough to say, with the way he moves around I'd bet it would be hard to choose a place.

hey Rob, might I suggest Iowa? the winter's are a bitch, but it's warm at my house! hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  74. RPL, they are awesome home made pralines. Freaking pecans cost a fortune. Hope everyone that recieved them as a gift from me enjoyed those f*ckers.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Sorry, Loisada. I've drooled on my keyboard a lot and there doesn't seem to be any permanent damage so hopefully yours is okay.

    ReplyDelete
  76. ADM, they better have! I didn't end up doing any baking this year. It's good in the long run, but I'm missing Christmas goodies. :(

    ReplyDelete
  77. ok, I got distracted by cookies, where were we? oh yeah, Rob's cob...hmmmmm ;)

    ReplyDelete
  78. yeah if rob was my neighbor i would be the peeping-ana and we all know what i would be peeping at :))

i bet he has to invest his money that is why he is looking for a house maybe he would buy in multiple locations.

    ReplyDelete
  79. RPL, come on over. I am required by family law to bake at Christmas. I still have plenty. You are all welcome to any of it.

Now...if I only knew how to squeeze baked goods through my computer...

    ReplyDelete
  80. Ana, I agree. I would be in so much trouble if I lived next door to Rob.

I also think he will eventually buy multiple homes. Maybe LA and London.

    ReplyDelete
  81. ADM - i live in pecan country, there are trees everywhere and actually a pecan factory distributor close to my house. i baked a little bit this year, not too much. i tried to bake sugar cookies but they looked terrible, i said that they were going to misfit cookie island.

    ReplyDelete
  82. LOL @ ADM, if that sort of thing could be done I would have pulled Rob through to my side of the computer long ago!

don't worry, I'd send him back into cyberspace once I was done with him. ;)

thanks for the thought, though, I could really go for one right now!

    ReplyDelete
  83. LMAO @ Ana...I like that. Misfit Cookie Island...so that is where they go.

    ReplyDelete
  84. @ADM, thanks for the praline, YUM!

Had a request to write a lemony B&E tale and this is seriously helping, NBs! I think the word "praline" is going to have to be in the title now... Hmm. I'll change the names to protect the not-so-innocent. Maybe. LOL.

I'm still fixated on Rob's piano. (Bad, NBs, bad.)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Wow RPL, you are generous. I am not sure I would ever be done with him. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  86. mmmm, Gwen, we do like those lemons around here! ;) looking forward to it!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oh Gwen do share when that is written. YUM...melty, sticky, praline sex. LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  88. ADM- no seriously the first set looked really bad, i was trying to put little bodies together. but my second set i settled just on stars.

actually, my two sisters and i had a bake off and a couple of my family members judged and i won. so i was the best baker for this year but i submitted my choc.chip cookies not the sugar ones.

    ReplyDelete
  89. well, I gotta share with my fellow NB's...plus you were kind enough to send pralines my way! (they better be worth it) LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  90. gwen - i never thought praline could sound sexy but let me know when you write that one :))

    ReplyDelete
  91. where'd RPG and Emily go? this is fun...

    ReplyDelete
  92. RPL...yeah, they are. I think they would go nice with Gwen's lemons. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  93. We NBs are soo very bad! ; ) Piano, black leather outfit, whip & boots, more than 2 pairs of handcuffs (that's actually funny), pralines and snickerdoodles.

So where do the vamps and werewolves come in? Oh, yeah. Over there. (Gwen is taking notes on post-its, as per usual.)

    ReplyDelete
  94. ADM - how were your holidays, didn't you go away

    ReplyDelete
  95. Sorry...I got distracted. Cobs, zippers, pralines...you know. My mind wanders.

    ReplyDelete
  96. LOL, Emily, hey...sh*t happens, I understand! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  97. That and my husband is watching a really disgusting show on Animal Planet about snake and spider bites. I want to stop looking but I can't.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Yes Ana, I visited with my family in South Carolina. I was there a week. Could not Robsess enough.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Emily, look away! Say no to the spider bites...yes, to Rob bites...hm, that would be more like...yessssssssssss!

    ReplyDelete
  100. ew! gross...

my husband and step-son are playing Super Mario Bros. on the Wii...their constant commentary is hilarious! just a few minutes ago, hubby said, "there's a big guy down there, and I WANT HIM!" XD

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sounds fun ADM! I'm glad you ladies had a good holiday.

LOL @ Rob bites! YES PLEASE!

    ReplyDelete
  102. emily - my husband is the same way with that channel and then he gets mad if i dont look quick enough to see the goriness.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Haha Ana! That is the only time I hate having DVR. "You missed it! Here let me rewind it..."

    ReplyDelete
  104. Emily, LMAO! damn that rewind button sometimes!

    ReplyDelete
  105. no he doesn't know how to work the dvr so i just say oh i missed it and i dont remind that we have it :))

    ReplyDelete
  106. well i just popped in for a little bit but i want to read some more of FF, i am reading love amongst the ruins, it's pretty good. since i have been home all week, i have been reading so much, next week got to go back to work :((( i was planning on quitting before the new year but i decided to stick out a little bit longer.

so good night and sweet rob dreams and rob bites :()

    ReplyDelete
  107. Night Ana! I hope I don't miss too much fun tonight but I'm going to head to bed. Thanks again for the fun!

    Talk to you all later!

Sweet Rob welcoming, mini-apron wearing, corn on the cob dreams to you all!

    ReplyDelete
  108. My mind got distracted the minute Ana and ADM started talking about multiples!@ So now you're hitting the rewind button?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Arg...I am exhausted, I had a long drive today. Then the unloading of the car, then the laundry, etc.

All of that whining, just to say, I must say Good night. Hope to chat soon!

    ReplyDelete
  110. have a good night, Ana!

I think I'm going to go and read, too, but this was fun! so much better than last night, I can't even tell you...

sweet Robdreams, girls, I <3 you all!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Stupid internet!!!

    I missed the NB meeting?!?!?

Sigh...hopefully I can make the next one...

And I totally miss the mis-buttoning of the shirts!! It was so freaking cute!

    ReplyDelete
  112. KAT!!!

Your AFF pics are hands down my FAVOURITE Rob pics of ALL time!

    Love them.

    xxx

    ReplyDelete
  113. Short out the power and turn up in a fake electric company truck to fix it. Gotta check the breakers in the house first, of course. This could take all night.

    P.S.-Thanks for the cookies.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Okay...the "stupid American" comment person can just stop. Not necessary. The Love of Rob should unite us all on THIS site. And I have to agree with the *STALKER/KIDNAPPER* comment person...might be kinda hard living next to Rob and not peeking or stalking or kidnapping him.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I had teh fun in this thread last night :D

    @ Gwen~

You need to share that lemony goodness when it's done, girl! I'm totally addicted to FF now, and I blame RPG for it...she suggested WA and MOTU...and, sheep that I am, I followed willingly :D

Btw, I just realized something...Isn't Rob supposed to like spaghetti & meatballs? Well, I am the meatball maker in my family (don't ask me why, but everyone loves my meatballs...no idea), sooo....y'all know what I'll be bringing over...homemade meatballs with spaghetti, smothered in that home made tomato sauce that only 100% genuine authentic third~generation American~Italians can make ;)

(no, don't worry...I won't make him sick. I'll have my mother make the sauce. She's only second generation American~Italian LOL)

    ReplyDelete
  116. @Lisa, I had lots of fun too! And I'll share, promise. (I was plotting away all night.)

FF rec, ties in with the meatballs, Edward Wallbanger. Simply fabulous! Makes you laugh! ; )

Ooo, there's some cookies leftover! B-fast!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Hmm..I need to read this Edward Wallbanger. My friend was reading it last night (you see, I got hooked on FF and I had to take her with me LOL) and she was texting me about having to read it.

I'm sitting here waiting on updates to MOTU!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. hahaha...most times I just ogle the photos and make occasional comments, but from the conversations I see here, you ladies are really one united front with everything Rob! I love the whole "welcome to the neighborhood" idea! LOL

    ReplyDelete
