We know the Eclipse script leaked. It's unfortunate but it happened. Some people, like me, HATE spoilers and we are not happy it leaked. So here's a spoiler post for you to discuss the leaked script. Please refrain from posting on other threads. Keep your spoilers in this one :)

Without giving away to much, i just gotta say im anxious to see how the seducing scene plays out and how Robert and Kristen portray that moment, i think it will be very revealing not only in terms of acting but also in terms of their chemistry together, this scene i think will show us exactly what it was that made Catherine Hardwick go all crazy about how hot their chemistry is.

ReplyDeleteumm i read it and i think that the movie will pass by really fast cause theres a lot of scenes but theyre all very short. i really liked how they made the proposal scene, its cuter than in the book and i wished that they wouldve put the scene where bella drops off bella to jacob and says that she looks sexy or something with the jacket, haha. i still like it anyway

ReplyDeleteI agree @Rpattzgirl. Not happy with what I've read or Melissa R. Couldn't she have been replaced? Way too much Riley as well. Is Xavier and BDH the leads in this one? Ok, I exagerate, but I'd give up ALL of their scenes for more Ed/Bella. The only thing I need to see of Victoria is Edward ripping her head off. I also didn't see the leg hitch. Seems they are going to take out some of the cute/romantic moments to ensure time for other things...like Riley's army of newborns. :( Sorry, I'll stop griping now.

ReplyDelete@Solas: not illegal to read it. Can be seen as somewhat illegal to pass around, however it's 'out there' now. Many drafts of screenplays get posted at various script sites so its common enough. Caveat: this is not the shooting script.

ReplyDeleteI ve read it. I liked it. The proposal was much better than the book and I was in tears. I liked the flash backs. The Bella -jake think didn't bother me as much as the book. I liked that Edward showed emotions. Leg hitch it's there too. I liked it when she came very clear about the way she felt about edward to Jake and I liked she left out all the crying rivers after Jake got injured . More or less everything is there. Edward feeling hurt just killed me.

I think the script is fine. Not amazing, but fine. Some good scenes for Robward, and the Jacob/Edward balance is pretty fair. Drags a bit in the middle, though.

I read it, and i liked it!! it has its funny moments and its cute moments, and its sads, ooohhh and its SEXY moments!! the proposal was really cute!! i cant wait for it!! BUT i heard that this script isnt the script used for the movie, that its the Draft Script, idk we'll see, i just wanna see a damn trailer already :D

ReplyDelete2- i'm about to talk about the script- so stop reading if you don't want to know...
---First of all, there are some cheesy lines. how do kstew and rob read this and not laugh. however, i must say that the scene in the field at the beginning is great. they definitely have transitioned well from New Moon by incorporating the playful "will you marry me" over and over
---I thought that the amount of time the spent talking about riley was... unexpected... but could work out good. we'll have to see... he's definitely more prominent in the script though. and a nice "evil" parallel to the bella and edward "goodness"
---i do wish that they would've been more descriptive in the script about the cullen house/bed scene. at least it's in there, and it'll be as steamy as they can make it and still keep the pg-13 rating, i'm guessing. no shirt edward. Wooohooo!
---the jacob/edward squabbling and "tough guy" getting mad at eachother was over kill. i got so sick of it, and it wasn't even on screen. ugh. don't look forward to that.

@Susanne totally agree...what is the point of soo much Riley...
ReplyDeleteAm i the only one who thinks Summit are making the twilight franchise way too big by introducing too many 5 minute wonders...? they totally over did the Wolfpack publicity with NM promotion, and they weren't in it all that much... i kind of think the volume of publicity even minor characters are getting totally cheapens the franchise..anyone agree?

ReplyDeleteI always suspected Melissa Rosenberg as a horribly unqualified writer. And now I know it to be true after reading the script! It's an early draft but as an English Lit major and as a Twilight fan, I am so offended by it. Her writing is atrocious!

@Susanne...yup the tent scene is what im looking forward to, it's kind of a climax in the book. can't wait to see when bella returns to the tent, and edwards waiting there knowing she's just kissed Jake!?

Ok, I finished it...hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteMR redeemed herself a little with the bedroom/shirtless Edward/down on his knee marry me...
The tent scene was pretty good, somewhat close to the book, just shorter of course...
No leghitch...but we all know that David Slade has the power to change what was in the script, as well as Rob/Kristen if they feel it's not working...
And since this was a blue draft, that means there are others...so there is surely differences as to what actually made it on screen...
Overall, the Edward/Bella/Jacob is pretty close, but I missed the whole banter between Edward & Jake when Bella breaks her hand..
"May the best man win" "that's about right, pup"
Waaaayyyy too much back story on Riley...and Xavier is a sweetheart & nothing against him, but no one gives a shit...
And they changed the way Rose tells her story to Bella...so lots of changes, but lots the same too...
HUGE fights, and I honestly can't wait to see what Rob did in all the fights...sounds insane...
Overall, it was good, but like any script, I missed a lot that was in the book...but it can't be a 5 hr movie...

ReplyDeleteRiley's 'story' is also a way to build the developing storyline of the newborn army. Shortcuts the exposition, but gives audience visual link/reminder to that plot. I also hope it doesn't skew the emphasis, but I don't think it's actually that much screen time. Will check.

ReplyDeleteBeing as I'm from Seattle, I hope that they atleast attempt to make it look like its actually here. There were parts of Twilight that were pretty comical as they were trying to pass off obvious Oregon landmarks as Washington.

Overall I liked the script. Tent scene = big win. WAY more Cullen clan & Jasper/Rosalie flashbacks! Touching scene w/Renee in Florida. GREAT proposal scene...better than in the book. What I'm missing: Bella escaping from school on Jake's bike, Bella riding her bike home, pissed, reuniting w/Edward on the bed, no "wrath that was going to put grizzlies to shame" and NO LEG HITCH! Sad face.
