Does anyone know if this was considered for the soundtrack where Bella goes through the seasons in retreat and despair--rather than the song 'Tell me when my heart stops' ?
Ok after reading the tags I'm not gonna look at this now. I'm not crying today, I've done enough of that in the last while. I'll watch it another day but from the sounds of it it's a good vid! :-)
I've loved this song since forever. It's so emotional and beautiful. And it goes really well with the sad parts of Edward and Bella's story. Great work! Thanks for posting it!
I have goosebumps too...This was beautiful and really moving. I used to listen to this song by Roxette a few years ago when my "edward" left me... Turned out to be my best friend a few years later but it hurt and sometimes my heart remembers.... This was beautiful...
Tears are still on my cheeks and it's been a half hour. :-( I've never heard this song before; am wondering if it is old and therefore not considered for the soundtrack.
BTW Gozde--how goes it for the interviews? May much success come your way!
The original of this song was from Roxette and it was on Pretty Woman"s soundtrack (1990) twenty years ago I think, so it's old... really old... LOL...
Thats the song off of Pretty Woman. Every womans heartbreak anthem. I sang this song after I broke up with ALL my boyfriends. then I sang "Hit me with your Best Shot!" by Pat Benatar. or "Bump and Grind" by R kelly.
Ahh, ok--thanks. I guess that imght explain why they did not use it even though it fits so beautifully; they wanted all new music for the New Moon soundtrack.
I don't think I was listening to music or watching movies in that time period (1990). And I don't like Julia Roberts at all, and don't like the movie premise/description either, so I haven't seen Pretty Woman.
sigh. can't see from work, unless there is a myspace version or a .wmv somewhere. Just have to wait to get home. Of course, I would much rather cry at home than work. LOL.
Haven't see PRETTY WOMAN? OMG... This is a must-have-seen movie. Julia Roberts was beautiful in it and it's funny, moving... I hate Richard Gere but the movie is nice... really nice!
Siss--I didn't see ANY movies in the theatre, except for Raiders of the Lost Ark and old Disney movies that were playing again, from about 1980-1992, and even after that not much. Once I got a VCR I did see some things I missed, just not Pretty Woman. My big sisters loved it, but then they love Julia Roberts.
Gozde--surely you know by now that I am not in the pop culture! ;-)
It was amazing...I also tried to find a copy of the song originally done by Roxette - she did an amzing job. Thank you from a 38 year old obsessed fan...
Wow..this makes me proud of Maria Mena, she actually turned a Roxette classic around and made it her OWN. She is from Norway and very talented...she has her own site http://mariamena.blogg.no/ and info about her on Wikipedia too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Mena
I do believe she is on twitter too but cannot be 100% sure http://twitter.com/MariaMena
And no, I am not like a diehard fan or run her fanclub LMAO, I googled her..just proud of ppl liking a Norwegian singer that's all lol.
I LOVE her version of It Must Have Been love and the fanmade video was stunning!
Tried to find this song to download. Couldn't find Maria's version of it (on mp3) but there are other covers at Amazon, including Roxette: http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1263227213/ref=sr_grid_artistalbumrank?ie=UTF8&rs=624868011&sort=artistalbumrank&keywords=it%20must%20have%20been%20love&rh=n%3A!624868011%2Ci%3Adigital-music%2Ck%3Ait%20must%20have%20been%20love&page=1
Sorry for the long link; but I was there anyway. ; ) Sigh. Really like Maria's version!!!
Oh Gozde you're killing me... I can't stop crying!
I downloaded the song and I listen to it again and again but I can't watch the video another time.. it's too emotional..
I like this version much more than Roxette's. The lyrics are so sad and this version makes it more "real". Maria Mena put a lot of emotion into this song!
If... and only IF.... you want to just go ahead and launch into a crying jag and get all that pent up sorrow out, here's Mena again backing Rachel and Ross. Even if you're not a big Friends fan, this will pull your heart strings...
awww, poor Bella (and poor Edward too). So heartbreaking. Very nicely done Jordana, thank you. A fav song from the NM soundtrack, Roslyn, would be great for a video. It has such an ethereal sound & plucks at my heartstrings whenever I listen to it. Unearthly and sad.
So, this 3 minute video was more sad than the actual movie. They should have done something like this in the movie to make his departure more touching. I didn't cry during the movie.
@solas, did you not like that song in the soundtrack? I love it, and think it so invokes what she is feeling, I get emotional every time I hear it, painful but so appropriate.
Wow. That was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if this was considered for the soundtrack where Bella goes through the seasons in retreat and despair--rather than the song 'Tell me when my heart stops' ?
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree, this one would have been soooo much better!
ReplyDeleteOk after reading the tags I'm not gonna look at this now. I'm not crying today, I've done enough of that in the last while. I'll watch it another day but from the sounds of it it's a good vid! :-)
ReplyDeletewow, very very very well done. beautiful, touching and heartbreaking, just like New Moon.
ReplyDeleteTruly touching... I really cried...
ReplyDeleteI've loved this song since forever. It's so emotional and beautiful. And it goes really well with the sad parts of Edward and Bella's story. Great work!
Thanks for posting it!
Sniffle. Need a tissue! Such a beautiful video---and the singer is perfect. Always loved this song too. Wow, goosebumps here too, Goz!
ReplyDeleteMean Edward. Boys are mean. Just want to give Bella a hug now.
; )
Wow! So well done and moving.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! What a powerful video. Tingles and tears. It made me see Kristen in a whole new light though. Really well done!
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the song and I'm playing it on repeat! AMAZING. I wish it was on the New Moon soundtrack...
ReplyDeleteStill have goosebumps all over...
I have goosebumps too...This was beautiful and really moving.

This was stunning!!!! This is an old Roxette song but beautifully done by the singer on this video, very emotionally charged!!!
ReplyDeleteTears are still on my cheeks and it's been a half hour. :-( I've never heard this song before; am wondering if it is old and therefore not considered for the soundtrack.

ReplyDeleteThank You Solas :) I got a call back from one of the interviews. I'm going on Wednesday, so keep me in your prayers :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the original is by Roxette but this version is just so haunting! I love it!
Who can forget Julia Roberts in the limo on her way to the airport, Roxette playing on the background?
Ahh, ok--thanks. I guess that imght explain why they did not use it even though it fits so beautifully; they wanted all new music for the New Moon soundtrack.

ReplyDeleteCHAGRIN! Solas! You have to see Pretty Woman! I can't believe it. It's a pop culture must and it's so romantic!
ReplyDeleteThat worth it? I really cannot stand Julia Roberts. But Richard Gere is cute. Maybe I will put it on the list.
ReplyDeleteHow do you download the song? I would like to have this on my computer if possible.
ReplyDelete@Kate: Hope you´re feeling better soon, love!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favourites songs since I was a teenager! Thanks for posting it, Goz! it was unbelivable beautiful! *Sigh*
@Goz: will keep my fingers crossed as well :-)
