Well this is my top three couples, too. Edward and Bella, Mulder and Scully, and Ross and Rachel. Funny that television/movie viewers in France are so similar to movie and television viewers all over the world. I am watching Rob in How to Be as I write this. I love him in this movie. It is funny and sad all at the same time.

@Sharon - I watched HTB a lot last week, I laughed a lot more than I should have I think! Very subtle humour, kept it from being depressing.

Although they are about the same thing (dominant and subordinate sexual personalities), I loved the fact that in the latter, she never was a Sub by nature and he wants her anyway. As for Kristen walking away...
What did she say? I'm not going to talk about this. She's going to keep some part of her life to herself and this is not some newsflash to the media or public. She and Rob have taken a stand here and when the press violates this (ask the question that they've been asked not to), why should they or anyone else be surprised when they walk away from the interview?
Remember Rob being hauled out of that interview with Ryan Seacrest when the first thing -THE FIRST THING- out of his mouth was to ask about him and Kristen? Believe me, the press has been informed...
DO NOT ASK THIS QUESTION OR THE INTERVIEW MAY BE TERMINATED!
So they ask it anyway knowing they can still get a story out of them...'walking away, not answering, whatever.'
And that's all they care about; a story they can file for their editors or producers.
And Rob and Kristen are trapped. No matter what they do; answer yes and give up that part of themselves to the 'fiends'. Answer no and be put into a position to have to lie about who they are. Or duck, dodge and evade and then THAT becomes the story.
They are fucking trapped like mice in a cage.
But this asshole reporter not only asked the forbidden question.... she actually said " are you team Edward off screen too" what a horses ass....

So far I'm really into the 'human' Edward/Bella stuff, but I really want to get into the Edward/Bella Breaking Dawn stuff as I'm sure those writers filled in the details of 'interspecies hardcore lovin' that S. Meyer chose to leave up to our imaginations. Haven't heard too many BD recommendations though. Guess I gotta go hunt some up for myself.
What I don't have any interest in is...Rob/Kristen fan-fic. Well, maybe I shouldn't judge it because I haven't read it but I dunno. Fan-Fic about fictional characters? Fine. About real people? It just feels squicky to me. But like I said, I haven't read any of it and for all I know, it's great. It is not however high on my reading list.
Nik - I'm right there with you on the Rob fanfics. I'm not sure what "squicky" means but it's a good description. LOL!

I'll be honest though, since I came up with that idea, my mind has been spinning with thoughts about these two tough, abused street kids with nightmares and miseries in their pasts (that have forced them into the streets) and how they find each other and more importantly, find the decency within that they both think is long gone.
It is a pretty good idea now that I think of it.

Plus my like for Kristen comes and goes ! Sometimes I really like her and the fact that she doesn't really care what people think, but then sometimes I think it's difficult to understand what she's really about at all! I'm glad that her work at Sundance was the focus of attention because the way she came across in interviews etc made her look like a shit hot mess. Not sure where the Kristen who did so well during NM promotion went !?!
